Since having Birria Pizza in Albuquerque, New Mexico I have been looking for it here in San Jose. I finally found it and it was DELICIOUS!!! AWESOME service and great price! I am definitely going back!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
PSA: Tacos Buenrostro is currently at the Shell at Sierra and Piedmont. The review below is for "Tacos Buenrostro" and not any of the other trucks in the area where they previously did business. Be warned that other trucks are capitalizing on the stellar reviews left for Tacos Buenrostro as the location has not been updated on Google maps, but the quality of the others is comparatively trash. Packing some serious flavor in that quesabirria! Hands down the best I've had in the SJ area in a long time. The tortilla, nicely crisped to the edges, with bits of crispy cheese clinging to it; the meat, tender, plentiful and seasoned perfectly; the cheese, beautifully melted, rounding out all the textures; and finally, the consommé, immensely flavorful and perfect for dipping. This is the real deal.
If you want to try the best Quesabirria in the SJ area, you have to come check out Tacos Buenrostro. The owner Juan is a really nice guy, excellent customer service and provides delicious food. Everything was on point. The salsa had a really nice taste, tacos were loaded with birria and cheese. They also throw some nice grilled onions along with some serrano and that takes this quesabirria to the next level. Thank You Juan, the food was great!
Good place. The amount of food is huge. Very generous on meat!
I've been to this Taco truck a few times in the past couple weeks and I must say, food is very flavorful and filling! I always order the Quesabrilla as it never disappoints! Highly recommend checking this place out!
Hands down some of the best birria tacos I've had. I always make it an effort to eat here every time I come to visit the bay area.
These tacos reminds of Chicago tacos, full of flavor. I stumbled on this gem and I'm so happy I did.
Good food, a lot of options and service is always wonderful. My only wish is that they would join door dash lol.
Excellent food, the quesabirra is definitely the item to get, they are extremely friendly you can’t go wrong, I will definitely be back hopefully for breakfast next time, it looks good as well 👍👍

I had the Mexican pizza. Dude is not playing. He makes other Mexican stuff arranged like other American classics. This concept seems to hit home even better than fusion, for me. Jjanga, in Vegas, does sushi shaped like burgers and pizza, and stuff. 👌 😋
Great spot to eat after coming down from Sierra Vista Point. A great selection of food and the owner is super attentive to how everything is and if you're enjoying the food. Right now, they have a separate menu for food for lent, which I think is very thoughtful. It is in a parking lot, so parking is easy, and getting into and out is fairly easy as well. They have a canopy and tables/chairs so you can eat there. Right now, it is a bit chilly still with the wind but no biggie.
I just came by to pick up some consume. My daughter ordered from another restaurant and they forgot to deliver the consume for our quesabirra. I came here and ask to purchase some. The very kind guy gave it to me. No charge. So Nice! I will be coming back and sending everyone I know to his truck! Gracias!

We eat here at least once a week and our favorites are anything with birria, carnitas, carne asada and the French fries. Most meals come with a small serving of rice and beans which are also very good. The flour and corn tortillas are delicious and the cheese on the quesadillas is excellent. Tastes buttery and is a mix of good Mexican cheese and cheddar. Burritos are huge and easily feed two people. Very good value as the servings are really large. The carnitas are the standout item for me as theirs are always tender and tasty, like they're cooked in the traditional way but less crispy. The fries are crinkle cut and perfectly fried then salted and peppered. My husband's new favorite is the birria grilled sandwich. It's birria sandwiched between cheese on a roll and then grilled. Delicious! The owner of the food truck is happy to make anything to your liking and couldn't be nicer.

For a taco truck next to a gas station 👌. I’ve been here a few times and gotten Al pastor, cabeza, carne asada, and Campechano tacos. Not saying the others aren’t good but get Al pastor for sure. Al pastors on a spit, so you get the slow roasted and quick crispy texture from the plancha. Cabeza, was nice and soft. Carne asada, tasted ok due to the meat being a little overdone/tough. Campenchana was a beautiful mix and they hit both meats on the plancha so it had a good texture to it. Look at my photos. They actually do a good job at being dedicated to the plate. Cut with car a designed radish and gives you two good size salsa. Good value spot to grab some quality tacos. A lot better than every other brick and mortar I’ve been to in the South Bay.
Pretty good taco truck! Got the al pastor regular burrito ($11.44) and the quesabirria (3 for $16.38). The burrito was good but something felt like the ingredients didn't mesh well. The quesabirria however was great, big and full of meat and cheese. Food came out quickly and was super hot -- would probably only get the quesabirria if I came back. Free chips and salsa (which was really good) is always a plus!
Food was okay, prep time was long, it sits next to the main road so the hygiene was a bit concerning.
Don't get the nachos. It's processed cheese with COLD shredded cheese. 🤮 Also there was no meat in it. Everything else has been good.

These guys were having Cinco De Mayo special -- Buy 2 Tacos Get 1 Free. I ordered 6 and got 3 Free. They used different meats for the Free ones. The meats looks different and smelt really bad and it looks like they were using expired meat. They didn't bother putting onions and cilantro on the free ones either. The paid tacos that I ordered were super dry and had some odor, too. I had food poisoning right after eating their food. I had diarrhea and threw up twice with bad stomach ache. Also these guys rip you off on the churros. One order is consist of 3 churros and they go for $10.50. They changed me for 2 orders and only put 1 order. I only found out when I got home. They will try to confuse you on the pricing and act like they have language barrier. You cannot order just one individual churro. Their price is really inflated and expensive. I swear you could be dining in at a nice restaurant with the prices they're charging. On top of that, they charging service fees. What the hell? This is a food truck and fast food quality foods at most. Their menu doesn't show pricing so you will only find out right after you paid when you get the receipt. Shady practice of business. Also, check your statement because they overcharged me. I will not be coming back because of the shady way they practice their business, low quality foods and super expensive pricing -- on top of that, I got sick from eating their food. The city of San Jose needs to send a food inspector to check their kitchen and foods. They are only here to rip-off high school kids. The food truck right across the street and the taqueria are better alternative than these guys. Update: These guys were serving meats that were infected with E-Coli. I'm looking at possibly talking with my attorney for a case.

I ordered online and was charged, but owner did not see a transaction on his end. It appears that others have had similar experiences. Do not place online here.
I had a really bad experience in the past when this truck was at Sierra Rd near Piedmonts Hill HS. I was a regular at that location but after awhile, I noticed the price of some specific items (in my case it was tripa super burrito) kept increasing in price bit by bit then I asked the staff and they had no idea how much the price was supposed to be which I understand since they were just staff working in the back to make food. There was one particular guy who worked there since the day I asked them about the price increase had started to become rude when I came to order to pick up orders. I let it slide many times since this food truck was near my home. My last straw was when I ordered literally the same item, there were a few rocks inside my burrito and I could have had some medical issues had I ate those in my stomach. Turned out it was the same guy that had been rude to me. The rocks looked like those small ones that you would find in the street. I don't believe this was an accident given the history. I didnt think that guy would go that far just because I asked about the price increase. Very dangerous person to be handling food and super dangerous if he doesn't like any particular customers. I wonder if the guy is still working there as I saw the truck at a new location in Berryessa area. I just have to leave the review here for others to be cautious about that guy
