¡Un tesoro en Barichara! Este restaurante es la joya cuando visites Barichara. El chef y todo su equipo tienen claro lo que es dar un servicio excepcional y al que se quiera volver pronto. Recomendado es pedir al centro de la mesa y compartir, probarlo todo y escuchar cada una de las historias que el equipo de Elvira tienen para contar. El precio lo vale ¿Cuánto cuesta comer en un restaurante como estos fuera de Colombia? Definitivamente lo valen! Y para completar, sentarse en la mesa del pintor David Manzur. Pregunten por la historia a los meseros. ¡Todo tiene una historia aquí! Espero volver pronto.

Hoy vivimos una experiencia increíble en Elvia, Barichara. Cada plato que probamos fue único y especial, lleno de originalidad y con sabores que sorprenden de principio a fin. Se siente la tradición detrás de su cocina y la fuerza de un equipo que trabaja con pasión y dedicación. Desde los meseros, siempre atentos y cálidos, hasta los cocineros y el chef, todo el equipo hace que uno se sienta en un lugar exclusivo y diferente. ¡Felicitaciones a todos! Definitivamente, un restaurante que vale la pena recomendar y repetir.

Espectacular !!! Un sitio 5 estrellas, un lugar encantador, con comida de primera linea, las croquetas de carne oreada son deliciosas, yo pedí un Steak de Yota que fue una deliciosa sorpresa, los sabores del cremoso de lenteja y el coco fueron un deleite. El sitio es muy lindo y clásico, es importante reservar antes de ir si vas en fin de semana. La atención del personal es magnifica, te explican cada plato y están pendientes de cada detalle. Definitivamente lo mejor que hay en Barichara y un ejemplo para muchos otros lugares.

Fuimos 5 personas. Muy muy bueno. Delicioso, el servicio súper eficiente y amable. No conocimos al chef y dueño; independientemente de esto, la tiene clara y organizada! Desde acá las más sinceras felicitaciones y la mejor de las fortunas chef!

Barichara is a stunning town, and this restaurant made the experience even better. After walking the Camino Real to Guane and back, we had worked up a serious appetite. I started with the croquettes, which were incredibly tasty, followed by the stew, also very delicious. The portions were generous, and we left completely satisfied.

You get what you pay for. Food, wine, service and atmosphere were excellent. Portions were a little small, and prices are much higher than you find in smaller towns in Colombia. However, the preparation and presentation was gourmet. Reservations highly recommend.

Every meal we had was excellent. Had dinner one day and returned for lunch the day after..their vegan options are awesome, very tasty home made sodas. It's fun to look at the chefs and have a sneak peak to how the food is done, however, it can be a bit busy and distracting from your conversation.

This place seriously blew my mind. Everyone in my group admired the chef and assistants as he meticulously plated dishes in the open kitchen. The attention to detail paired with outstanding flavors and textures places this restaurant in a class of its own. To find a place like this back home in L.A. would easily put it in the hippest neighborhoods where you could never walk in and find a seat. The music was fresh, upbeat, lounge with some local flair. The white walls with raw wood and the open kitchen sets the mood. I can't say enough. The staff was friendly and efficient. The owner personally describing the menu. It is amazing to find such a gem in such a remote location. You must eat here. From drinks, starters, main, to dessert. Every course was another surprise. I had the weekly special for dinner.

One of the best meals we’ve had in Colombia! You van simply not come to Barichara and not eat here. We asked for a tasting menu and they gladly prepared one for us. All the dishes were so delicious and beautifully prepared that we came back next day for lunch to try all the other dishes on the menu. Si bien es un restaurante que trabaja con ingredientes locales, a veces su carta puede ser confusa y tal vez no esta pensada para todo tipo de paladares y ocasiones. Al reservar te preguntan la ocasión que vas a celebrar, pero al restaurante les da igual, para ellos es simple turismo eres un cliente más, sin importar si es no, importante para ti. Realemnte no aconsejó celebrar ninguna fecha especial en este lugar, nisiquiera se molestan en ponerte en un buen lugar. Es nada especial para celebrar un fecha importante!.

Tenía altas expectativas para este restaurante, ya que el lugar es muy lindo. Sin embargo, la ejecución dejó mucho que desear. La cristalería luce de baja calidad, especialmente considerando que los precios no son precisamente bajos. El servicio fue deficiente los meseros se demoraron mucho tiempo en pasar las cartas y tomar el pedido, se les pidió recomendaciones y se limitaban a ofrecer el mismo plato para todos, los cocteles casi sin alcohol, aguados y con poca presentación que ni foto ameritaba tomarles. El ingrediente insignia de Santander, la hormiga culona, se presenta en tan poca cantidad que su sabor pasa desapercibido. Además, la carta resulta poco trabajada: se limita a listar ingredientes sin aportar una narrativa o concepto claro. Como cocinera y pastelera profesional, creo que deberían profundizar más en el concepto y cuidar los detalles para ofrecer una experiencia realmente memorable.

Es rico. Pero no me pareció waoooo, hay otros restaurantes en Barichara que son iguales o más ricos y tienen buenos precios. A mi parecer es un restaurante que se ha hecho viral por redes sociales, que es bueno pero tampoco tanto como para que si o si debas ir cuando estés en Barichara.

Food was great. Yet, the staff was fully unprepared and they could not explain what was in the menu, or the art from the kitchen! I.e., we asked what the "green ragu" was... after 5 minutes, we were told "these are vegetables" . LOL 😉 This is above all a mistake by the management that doesn't invest in training properly the staff. There is an over-focus on the kitchen side of the restaurant. This could be improved easily.... Hope they will!

Fuimos a conocerlos el domingo 11 de enero, llegamos a las 8:20 pm y la host, nos recibió de una manera displicente, y nos negó el servicio, aunque aparecía que iban hasta las 9:00 pm. La comida puede ser buena, tal vez, no lo supimos. Pero el servicio es PÉSIMO, recuerden que un excelente plato y el esfuerzo que hagan para sacarlo, tiene un valor agregado que es el trato de quienes dan la cara a los clientes. Cero recomendado, hay lugares mejores, mucho mejores en Barichara. Y un domingo prefestivo abrir por hora y 20 minutos? Con el pueblo lleno de turistas? No abran, les va mejor.

Not good if you have an allergy. I didn't get to eat here as when I asked about Gluten free options they didn't appear to understand (despite their menu). They said I could not eat the potatoes and I explained potatoes don't have gluten (wheat flour). I asked if I could have plain potatoes instead and they said it was not possible to change anything on any of the menu and that "this is fine dining experience". We were really disappointed as we'd booked in advance. Just a really odd experience. I felt like I was difficult for trying to understand what I could eat as someone with an allergy. We left without eating. It was also very hot inside (uncomfortably so). A real shame, we were really looking forward to it.
