Wonderful staff, great food and wine. We will definitely make this a regular stop
Wife and I were talking earlier about how the food over our 4 trips to PV have been good but the only must each trip is to Tuna Azul for Lobster Tacos. Then we ended up at Di Vino Dante. This is will now be a multiple visit on each trip to PV. The Apple Flat Bread was a solid 10! I LOVE Pizza and this flat bread was so unique and delicious. The crust was exceptional as we're all wonderful. Wife also raved about her Beet Salad too, another 10. The staff and atmosphere were wonderful. Highly recommend this restaurant.
The pizza here will buckle your knees. Make sure you eat it sitting down. Delicious!!!!
Great find for us. We had stopped for a wine flight and selected all Mexican wines. Quite good. We liked the atmosphere and decided to come back for dinner. Tapas were fantastic. Main courses were also very good. Pork belly was spectacular. Cocktails were on pot as well. Tried another great wine from this country with dinner. Service was professional and perfect. Very highly recommended!
Lovely and beautifully decorated restaurant. The staff….I must say , that they truly pay attention to details. I had a visitor in my wine and they immediately replaced it 👏🏻👍 Service was amazing from start to finish . Now the food: Quail egg with Parma ham, cheese sauce on toast was decadent. It was Creamy and savory. Slow cooked pork belly in beer served with onion radish , potato purée and Brussels sprouts . The pork belly was cooked to perfection . Falling apart after each cut, but it lacked acid and seasoning. Definitely has great potential (maybe some pickled vege or vinegar , mince garlic and lime 👍👍👍 Dessert: gluten free chocolate cake with blueberries, raspberry sauce and vanilla ice cream . What more can you ask for 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 Wines: Malbec, Zinn and Brut were superb . This place is a true gem If this review was helpful, please give it a like 👍👍👍 Happy travels
The atmosphere is very special. I felt like I was in Europe, over looking the mountains and great city view. The wine list is superb. I ordered a bottle that is not available in PV stores. The art and atmosphere is excellent. The service was professional but inconsistent. I would never let that stop me from coming here again. If you want something unique in PV with great menu options this is the place.
This place was beyond our expectations. We just came into town and chose Di Vino Dante based on other reviews. Majority of reviews were accurate not only about food but the incredible service and attention to detail. Coming from Colorado, USA I cannot say there is a better place for the price than this spot! Don't miss it!
We stopped by for lite lunch expecting average meal. We were blown away how good everything tasted from the beet salad to the salmon and filet.
Service and presentation were perfect. We enjoyed the food and attention to detail. Recommend for that special dinner out
Visiting Di Vino Dante doesn't begin with visiting Di Vino Dante. Whether you enter via the restaurant entrance or, before closing hours, via Galleria Dante's entrance, you are hit with loving art and a wave of divine energy that doesn't come easy with words and is felt throughout the body. You're unsure what this feeling is. However, you are conscious of it and subconsciously want to embrace it, for it brings you to life. There is no doubt that the gallery and wine bar complement each other. Arriving on the second floor of this magnificent structure, with its history and progression over decades of thoughtful work, you'll find an open floor plan beckoning you to travel about, find a table on the mezzanine, or post up on a stool at the bar, where you'll discover Jazz, a fantastic mixologist/barista, a true artist practicing her craft. From a cappuccino to a margarita to a specialty drink—even Jazz's creations—or even to a simple beer, you will feel welcome and at home. Your choice of wines varies from region to region worldwide, allowing you to try the mindfully selected options without the puzzlement of infinite choices. Whether you are dining for tapas, ordering so much with your group—or solo—that you never make it to the second course, you won't be disappointed with the food. In fact, you'll understand why, in the first place, you gravitated to this incredible establishment and are now having a wondrous dining experience. If you are here for brunch, the smoothie bowls pair nicely with a two-for-one mimosa, as can the avocado toast. Di Vino Dante's flatbreads for lunch are a must. The dough is soft and fluffy yet firm and crispy where it ought to be, providing you with a bite your taste buds will dance and thank you for. The bread itself, aside from the pizza dough, is made in-house and goes well as it is, or you can add oil and vinegar and a smear of butter. You won't go wrong with the tapas: beef carpaccio, black tuna salad, tuna sashimi, meatballs, etcetera, etcetera. My family and I ordered the entire menu. The ingredients are fresh, and the evidence lies in the completed dish resting in front of you and then in the flavors as they hit your taste buds. Perhaps I am biased, considering I have known the owner and restauranteur my whole life, not to mention the Guarniere family as a whole. But that's not the case. As a writer and author, a speaker of the truth, I know what I feel and what I am looking for in a dining experience. It is all about the experience. And the energy and ambiance you feel from visiting Di Vino Dante will stick with you after you leave. You'll want to come back for more, for better, better than before, for, as any artist—chef, barista, entrepreneur—knowns, we are always looking to reinvent our craft and be better than we were a moment ago. We are constantly striving for growth and to share that with others. J.L. Iannino
We just stopped in for a short time to have some wine before our dinner next door. The atmosphere was really cool - you could sit inside or they have outdoor rooftop seating, all blended in with the gallery. They had a great wine list and the service was wonderful. We didn’t eat so I can’t speak to the food, but my guess is that it’s probably good. Great selection of wines too. Looking forward to spend more time there on my next visit to PVR.

Super tapas y vinos
Magnifico servicio, atencion y comida
We were seated by all sorts of beautiful orchids. The atmosphere was amazing, the staff were very attentive and the wine was tasty. A very fine meal was prepared for us and we will be talking about this restaurant for a while. The walls were adorned with paintings of artists. We could have spent hours taking in the beautiful artwork. We will definetley be back. Thank you to Mark and Dawn owners of Dragonfly Villa in Mismaloya for taking us to this amazing restaurant. Truly one of the best finds in Puerta Vallarta.
We really love this place. Food is excellent, staff is super friendly and attentive,. The atmosphere overlooking an art gallery in the courtyard below is one of the most stylish and unique spaces we've been in anywhere in the world. There are lots of great places to eat in PV, but we make a specific effort to get here whenever we're lucky enough to be in town. You should too.
Once again, our experience here was just excellent. We invited four other friends and it was their first time at Di Vino Dante. They were impressed from the minute they walked in: the atmosphere, the service, the food, everything. We always make a point to go there for a late (mid-afternoon) lunch and are always glad we went.
Comida rica y bebidas deliciosas!

Amazing Tapas! like dining in an art gallery. Actually, I think it IS an art gallery. We had shrimp and octopus, both of which were fantastic. A bit of a splurge, but ultimately worth it.
This beautiful restaurant is tucked in along the busy walking area of the "Zona de romantico". You walk up stairs and it was a surprise to find a lovely courtyard with plants and artwork. We had the prix fix dinner and were delighted with the food, friendly service and ambience. If we were going to be in PV longer, we would come back tomorrow!
This place is just beautiful. It's set up on the second floor overlooking the art gallery with hanging plants and artwork everywhere. Rene and Simon take very good care of you. The food is eclectic and delicious. A must try.
Wow, this place was amazing! A bit of a hidden gem, tucked just above a beautiful art gallery. I’ve been to many wonderful restaurants, and this one definitely made my top list. If you’re looking for somewhere with a great ambiance, delicious food, and a more local feel (not overly touristy), I’d highly recommend De Vino Dante. The night we went, they were offering a 3-course meal special for only 590 pesos — such incredible value!
The entire experience of this place absolutely blew me away. From the friendliness of the employees, atmosphere, cocktails, the food. I could not recommend this place enough. Thank you for such an incredible dining experience.
The temperature was humid and hot as usual in Puerto Vallarta. We just finished up at a meeting with client and decided to catch a quick bite to eat Di Vino Dante. Why, they had a portion of the restaurant air conditioned which made the dinning experience even better. Service was excellent another great plus. Food was exactly the way I like it, fresh and delicious. My drink was fantastic too. The ambiance is awe inspiring with incredible art adorning the walls. A menagerie of taste, texture and eye appeal. I give this restaurant/art gallery five stars...
Super friendly staff. Greek salad and Purgatory Pizza were outstanding. Plenty fro 2, and lunch the following day with the leftovers. Pinot from Chili (Copa?) muy bien.
Great this, great that, if you're looking for a nice place to have dinner with family or friends, most certainly! Visit! If you're looking for a moment though, consider this... sneak away, when everyone else is busy with an adventure or following an itinerary, graciously bow out. Grab a taxi, head here. Sit in this traditional hacienda, order a bottle of your favorite wine and ask the wait staff what tapa would you recommend? Let them make decisions, sit, eat, contemplate and enjoy. Turn off your ringer so you can extend the moment and return to the rat race at your leisure.
Happened to come across this place on Google and it absolutely did not disappoint. From the moment we walked through the door, we were greeted by Simon, who welcomed us as if we were guests in his own home — such a personal and genuine touch. Our server, Daniel, was exceptional. From the moment he introduced himself, he was attentive, friendly, and truly made us feel taken care of. His hospitality and engagement really elevated the entire experience. As for the food — it was fantastic! We went with the special and sampled a few tapas, and everything was bursting with flavor. The standout? The meatballs — absolutely delicious! All in all, this place exceeded our expectations. Great atmosphere, incredible service, and food that hits the mark. A solid 5 out of 5 from us!
This was my first time in Puerto Vallarta, and I had a wonderful time. My friends and I spent two weeks enjoying some fine dining, and Di Vino Dante served the best meal we had on our entire trip! The restaurant has a wonderful ambiance and a terrific playlist. The service was top notch, and I would definitely go back to Mexico just to dine here again. This place deserves to be recognized by Michelin, and I hope that happens one day soon.
I literally can't say enough about this place. Fantastic ambiance, fantastic food, fantastic service. Also excellent with food allergies. We had the blackened tuna salad, the guajillo octopus, and asparagus. I would order the exact same thing again. Also, if there are just 2 of you, try to get a coveted balcony table!
Great diverse and creative menu, excellent food quality and service, in a very relaxed beautiful setting. Family business for many years, and very accomodating. The restaurant is an extension of the art gallery below, and overlooks the gardens in back. This is our go-to spot for both a nice healthy lunch; or, taking friends for a quality dinner at a very reasonable cost; or, stopping in late for dessert and coffee. Service is prompt. We've never had a bad meal. We've tried the range of the menu and never disappointed. The staff will accomodate most anything you desire to eat. Last night two of us shared the beet salad (we took half of it back to the condo as it was too much); the Carrot-ginger soup, and the seafood risotto, which they changed for us to only shrimp; with an Italian Abruzzo wine. The beet salad and soup could easily have been a light meal for two. (with dessert!). This restaurant also has beautiful esthetic rooms for large gatherings. NOTE - an ELEVATOR! : The restaurant is upstairs and there is an elevator in the gallery below; the staff was quick to assist. AND: I'm discouraged reading complaints. Like most all places we dine here in PV, if there's an issue with our meal, or if you have a suggestion, the local restaurants have most always accomodated. Just communicate! Dont hold it in and write a nasty review later.
Beautiful restaurant with fantastic ambiance and great menu. We particularly enjoy the black tuna and the peach flatbread. Highly recommend!

We came here two evenings to have wine before dinner. The service was excellent and thr atmosphere was pretty cool, as there is REALLY expensive art everywhere.

Nice restaurant, located in an artsy setting. Our meals were served by an attentive and friendly staff. A very good musician with a broad musical repertoire provided entertainment. I had a fabulous beet salad for appetizer. Unfortunately my main course, a shrimp risotto, was flavorless.
Note: they charge 10% more if you use a credit card. And they only allow max 2 cards per table. Now you know - we found out only once the bill came for a large table, an inconvenient moment for multiple people to get up and walk a couple blocks to use the atm. Service was inattentive and they made a mistake which took them 10 min to acknowledge. The food was not bad and copious, particularly at the cash price.
So disappointing, wouldn’t eat here again. I’m not picky, but the shrimp and mussels in our pasta were severely overcooked and nearly inedible. The shrimp were rubbery and the mussels were nauseatingly dry and falling apart. And the pasta itself was just bland, not much flavor and a lot of oil. We left over half of it after deciding it wasn’t worth it to continue trying to eat it. The olive bread they included for us was incredibly dry and had a weird flavor. The pizza was good in comparison but generally nothing special. It didn’t help that we went for the Pizza Joe 2.0 rooftop (which says open online) to be told it was closed for summer, which the host didn’t address when we first asked instead he just led us into the De Vino restaurant until we kept asking. It seemed like we were able to still order from their menu but overall if felt like there was an identity issue here with all the different menus they gave us. Well we tried.
Although this restaurant is pretty, I will never go back there because the service was not just bad, it was atrocious! They were very few people in the restaurant on a Friday night. The space is lovely since it overlooks the courtyard of the Dante gallery, and its walls are hung with colorful paintings. However, it’s quite warm since it has no air conditioning and it is upstairs, so it’s like the heat in an attic. Although there were very few diners, we got almost no attention throughout the evening. When I mentioned to the waiter that it was very hot And asked why they didn’t have any fans, it turns out they did have fans. But no one bothered to bring them out to make the diners more comfortable. And I had to ask several times to get a fan near our table. Since we were uncomfortably hot, and they had lots of fans, they could’ve surrounded us in advance and made us very comfortable. But it was quite apparent that nobody That worked there was at all concerned with our comfort. Yes, the delays were along to get any service at all and to get any food. But that was not the worst of it. The worst of it is that no matter how many times I asked for things like more water, it was never supplied.. I had to call out in a high voice, several times before someone came, and then went back to find our appetizers. I ordered the ratatouille, and it was not really ratatouille. Ratatouille is a vegetable stew In a tomato saucewith eggplant. The eggplant was not stewed, it was lightly cooked And chewy., which is not a healthy way to eat, eggplant and certainly not appetizing. It’s a shame because I love ratatouille, but this wasn’t it. I asked for a plate of lemon wedges to be brought with my main fish course, and it wasn’t.. I had to ask for it twice more. The fish was mediocre. Then again we sat with no service or attendance for an infinite amount of time, until I needed to shout several times to get some help. I asked where our desserts were. This alarm prompted some action. But dessert was only brought for my companion.. I had asked for a chocolate cake for dessert. When I had to call out and ask what happened to my dessert. The waiter said they didn’t have any chocolate cake. He didn’t bother to tell me that to ask me what I would like to have. By this time, my companion had finished his dessert. After a long wait and asking two more times, I finally got a dessert.. That cannelloni was the only really good thing of the whole evening. And then no one. I attended us and we didn’t see another waiter anywhere. Again, I was shouting in a loud voice to get some attention to get the check. Our waiter didn’t bother to come back. When we tried to pay with cash, we were told that the cash register was closed and we couldn’t get any change. I suggest that if you want to have a pleasant evening, you choose another restaurant.
Beautiful space. Nice services. Place is empty in busy season when everything else is full. Should have been a sign! WiFi sucks! Big story about owner falling in love with Mexican wine, but Mexican wine list is all the mediocre. Nothing worth paying money to drink. BIG fail. Another sign of impending doom. Cocktails are watered down. Bread is warm on the outside, dry and refrigerator cold on the inside… paper tastes better? Food looks beautiful but bland and flavorless food. The salad was good. Don’t waste your time or money till the chef is changed and you see the place full up with once more.
