Portnoy is off, Boston beef by the seas is an easy 9.6. I'm from Philly and watched them. Make a cheesesteak, can't wait to try that next. You have to try the roast beef here.

Loved this place! They do a lot of roast beef sandwiches but I was craving a steak n cheese! I was a little buzzed and it was perfect! Cheesy, tasty and fresh off the flattop! It was so good I had to get a beef sandwich to go. Didn’t get picture of that but it was even better! Definitely be back! Lauderdale by the sea is turning into Boston, MA!! Friendly service!

Saw this place reviewed online by OneBite and I was interested in trying a Boston Beef 3 Ways. The lady taking your order is a definite character in a good way. The bartender next door at the taco place recommended the Philly but I was interested in trying something new as well. The Philly was one of the best I’ve ever had and the Boston 3 Ways is definitely a unique experience. Both were really good and the guys/lady cooking the food and serving you were super friendly. I would definitely go back. Highly recommended and definitely a must try.

Amazing roast beef sanwich at Boston Beef by the Sea ! The beef was nice and rare, the bun was soft, and the cheese was tasty ! This is a wonderful new addition in Lauderdale by the Sea, and they are inexpensive with a remarkable menu. The worker informed me that their cheesesteaks were their bestsellers, but I had 25 more miles to bicycle and I was unsure of how a hot sanwich would travel in my bike basket so I went with the standard roast beef. Grwat customer service from the two dudes working the counter. Highly recommend !!!

My dad and I had an amazing experience here! We arrived mid afternoon, (when it wasn’t busy), and were greeted by a friendly employee. The employee recommended to have the lobster roll in mayonnaise instead of butter because he was from Boston and knew the authentic way it should be served. This was the best lobster roll ever! This is the first time I have reviewed a resteraunt. The Philly was fantastic and highly recommended. The flavor brought me back to New England. My brain wanted another but my belly said hell no. Will be going back before we leave Lauderdale by the Sea.

I live locally and have walked by several times . On Labor Day I decided to give it a try as so many of the touristy places have disappointed. Let me tell you staff was super nice , place was clean and I had the best roast beef sandwich I ever had ! Will definitely return . Next time I’ll take a picture ( filled with lots of meat ) 🙂🤩

Great food, friendly staff, but it’s hotter than hell in there. The owner keeps the door open so all the AC just goes right out. It’s hard to eat when your dripping sweat. Would recommend getting takeout over dining in here. Owner plz fix the door already so ppl can be comfortable while they eat. Staff said door is broken, so it needs to stay open due to being so difficult to open and close.

I've lived in South Florida for nearly 30 years and this is the first (remotely close to what I grew up on in MA) great Roast Beef sandwich I've had since moving here. Warm, tender and delicious!!!! The soopah wit sauce, cheese and mayo on an onion roll is a must. To the haters... REAL Maine Lobstah isn't cheap and neither is the processed Roast Beef you buy from the Grocery. This beef is roasted in his ovens on site not reheated precooked fake meat you get from some other establishments. Give the place a shot it's worth the trip.

This is the only review you need to read. Get the roast beef with extra sauce (they gotta load these beefs up more with sauce). You're a clown if you order anything else. I've tried to other "Northshore beefs" in major Metropolitan cities and they're trash. This is the BEST roast beef outside of Northshore Massachusetts. I don't even know what else is on the menu. It's irrelevant.

Everything was really good. I tried the lobster roll which was pricey but the other items were reasonably priced. Our friend got the roast beef and said it was one of the best sandwiches he's had in awhile. We will come back for sure.

Stopped by here in a whim. Did not seem real busy. The food however was fantastic. I had the cheesesteak with onions and it was very tasty. The cheesesteak was the best I have had in the area. The sandwich was hot when i got it and the wrapping kept the other half nice and warm while I was "working" on the first half. The fries and beer rounded out the trio nicely. This is the kind of food it is hard to find anymore. I am sure it was real meat not plant based stuff. The sandwitch was flavorful and moist which is a vital ingredient some in the area miss. I highly recommed this place if you like real food.

I had the Boston 3 Way on a Onion Bun, and my lady had the 6 oz New England style "rockin lobstah roll". Both must try items! So happens that tonight's special was $1 Drafts with both our orders. It's definitely worth the trip.

Being from Boston where Roast Beef is king you need to have a pretty good roast beef to call yourself Boston Beef!!! Well let me tell you that Francesca does it well. She has a welcoming smile and her staff is very helpful and attentive. I had the Super Beef and it was cooked to perfection and thinly sliced. Topped of with James River made it a real Northshore Beef. We also had the Cheesesteak and Buffalo chicken sandwich (homemade chicken cutlets) everything was delicious. The one little Gem you have to try is Francesca's homemade Arincini's topped with her homemade "sauce " are awesome!!!

We drove 2 1/2 hours from the west coast for my husband to get a taste of home, as a Lynn, MA native growing up on John's Roast beef. We were not disappointed! He and I had the Super Roast Beef and our daughter had a cheesesteak. Everything was amazing and just how he remembered it. The staff was amazingly friendly! We will definitely be back. We brought one to my brother who is local and I'm positive he and his wife will be regulars. Thank you for making our day trip everything we hoped for.

I was a little surprised to see a beef shop surrounded by all the seafood shops, but we took a chance and I am sooo glad we did! The cheesesteak sandwich was the best I have ever had! Been here twice and both times very much enjoyed the beef sandwich. Excellent quality roast beef and great bread. I prefer it without BBQ sauce or on the side. Great fries too btw! I do wish they had horse radish for the beef sandwiches and that they put more cheese on the Philly cheesesteaks but the sandwiches were very good quality both times.

Stumbled upon this gem! Lisa (sp) is a trip, and her food is excellent. Best Philly Cheesesteak I’ve ever had. Ate here several times over the week we had here over Thanksgiving. Several family members had their cheesesteaks and everyone loved them. Lisa gave me a pinch of her fresh roast beef that was excellent as well. If the cheesesteak wasn’t soo good, I would have had an RB sammy!! Next time we are in the area, we will certainly find our way back here for more great food!!

My husband and I from the Boston area and were looking for a quick takeaway place to bring a late lunch to the beach for us, daughter, and my mom while enjoying lovely Lauderdale by the Sea. Spotted Boston Beef and figured we'd check it out. What a great experience to have a taste of home in South Florida. Owner Francesca is a sweetheart and very personable. The restaurant's interior is very well designed and meticulously clean. Food was an excellent value for the quality. We got a hot dog on a buttered roll with all the fixings and a grilled chicken sandwich. They threw in some fresh fries right out of the fryer, which my little one devoured. Everything was delicious and fresh. This is a great little gem for either a casual sit down or takeaway to the beach. Cannot wait to visit again!

As a person from Massachusetts, this place is the taste of home. The owner lived in the same city I’m from and my gosh it brought me back. Very personable, kind and fun to talk to. The three hour drive from Orlando was most definitely worth it. I’d give it 10 stars if I could. :)

Fantastic little place right on the strip at Lauderdale by the Sea. My family and I stopped in after a quick down pour at the beach. We decided to eat hear while the weather cleared up. Server was awesome, wiped the water off the chairs since we decided to eat outside. Locally owned and server was able to bring us back up to speed about the area and made some great suggestions. Sandwiches were great and we could not finish them. We also had the dollar drafts which were a good size, cold and good selection. I would definitely eat here again.

Ordered a large Northshore Roast beef sandwich 3 way. Everything about the sandwich was excellent other than the fact the roast beef was not very warm. I will give it a second chance. Not easy to find a real Northshore beef sandwich in Southeast, FL like this.

My wife and I are from the Boston area and I have to say we were somewhat disappointed by our lunch today.We traveled 45 minutes one way to try this restaurant only to find a narrow dark room with a few hi-top tables…the food was just ok ,got the lobster roll as well as a roast beef sandwich,w/onion rings, the rings were hard… crispy? …no…hard!..obviously frozen not hand battered…Bottom line…not worth my trip. BTW ,lobster rolls belong on a grilled/buttered new england style hot dog bun…nothing else!

Way overpriced for a run of the mill cheesesteak. I wax really excited to see this place coming. I thought it would be a great addition to the area with hot, juicy roast beef sandwiches like they have in the Northeast. Unfortunately it is instead just middle of the road quality and flavor at highly exaggerated prices and a menu that is confused. Too bad, I don’t think this will cut it for locals but hopefully they will have enough tourists to grow their business.

Stood alone for quite some time until the sole occupant came from in the back. We almost just left since it seemed abandoned. She seemed quite nice and of the helpful nature. Lobster roll was slightly dry but fishy. Likely stale lobster. But plenty of it. Fries were great. Maybe if they had more help. Overall underwhelming compared to the price.

Look I’ve been to Boston Beef at least 5 times and the first 2 times were good and I even met the owner and his wife but lately the beef had gristle several times and the service was ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUSLY SLOW and I’m not the only one saying it as other customers waiting were also commenting . Older guy taking orders and running the fryers was totally ignoring people trying to order because they don’t have fryers with auto timers that raise the basket when they’re done so he has to stand there and make sure the stuff like mozzarella sticks and fries don’t over cook cause they take several minutes ! The woman on the flat top ignores the phone ringing and the people waiting in line because she’s trying to measure out portions , butter and toast buns and cook toppings for the orders they did have ! My point is you know you have a problem with service so fix it period ! I gave a two because the owners are very nice people and the beef is good just hit or miss on the gristle

I am writing this in the hope that the owners take these issue seriously as I was Very much looking forward to trying your food. Cashier was masked, polite and happy to explain the different products. After purchasing I watched being made with bare hands, then the person opened the refrigerator, under the work station, rummaged around, grabbed fixings and then put them on the sandwich still with bare hands. You touched food, fridge, counter, containers, and then the sandwich again - it was not up to my standards of hygiene, use tongs, wear food gloves- something! I am not a young person I have to be careful, touching different surfaces and then food? Was not for me. I disposed of my purchase after I left your store.

As a Massachusetts girl, the food did not live up to the hype 🥺 beef and sauce tasted good but it does not come with and onion roll and it was over toasted and way over priced. Mozzarella sticks had absolutely no cheese in the or in the container so im not sure what happened there. 🤔 Nice people working the counter though!

a friend raved about the lobster roll, so I checked it out, such a disappointment! They only had 4 oz sandwiches not 6oz, (an option on the menu) which makes zero sense. But thank God I didn't spend money on a bigger disappointment. Lobster was rubbery, the roll was burnt, and even with the amount of butter I threw on it, it was tasteless. The fries were cooked well but lacked any type of seasoning, at all. I don't mind spending extra money on a good meal, especially lobster (which is my favorite) but $35 for a total fail is unreal. I gave 2 stars because the place was super clean and the staff was very nice. Sucks, I had hoped I found a little gem. But no, not at all.

Really disappointed to give two stars as someone who used to go to their location in Lynn, mass when it’s was there. 😔 Made my husband drive over an hour to get me and my baby🤰a real New England cheese steak to find out they were closed. Their hours on the social media and google stated they were open only For him to find a sign on the door stating they were closed.( he wasn’t the only customer there) Would be helpful for them to update their hours. Sincerely a disappointed pregnant lady 😩

A couple travelers from Boston and we were excited to grab a couple beefs. Looked online and google stated they were open. We then proceed to drive a half hour from Hollywood beach just to arrive to a sign that says gone for vacation. But if you're not right next to the place you wouldn't know. There's no website or anything!!! Better communication to your customers..

I had 2 bites and unfortunately tossed the rest away because I just couldn't (waste of $15 plus delivery, tips, and fees). It had such a fatty taste and smell. Like cheap burger meat being cooked, how McDonald's smells outside. They use American for cheese which is such a disappointment given all the yummy options available here. I've never thrown out a meal before but I really just couldn't. Originally I gave it a 3 star because it was more about my preferences rather than quality issues. But the owner seems to think everyone has an axe to grind when leaving anything but a 5 star. So here is my sharpened axe. So you can take your paying customers feedback, or just disagree and blame it on personal vendettas (even though I'm a visitor and this was my first time here). Won't be back. The worst experience I’ve ever had by far! The server Lisa was so rude only because we changed the position the sunshade on our table, I came with my wife and friend for the first time and I most went to a different place and I only stayed because I wanted try the food for while, otherwise I had left for sure, by the time I started my order she was super rude again I couldn’t believe, when we came to our table outside again she’s started an argument with my wife. In the end was a really frustrating experience.

Lobster rolls were small mostly bread and Lobster meat Not fresh. OLD Onions rings were fried very hard couldn't taste Onions. Was like fried breaded sand. Staff not friendly because only 2 workers and busy plus one worker dancing outdoors with customers . I was the only person waiting to order and no workers acknowledge me. Waiting 10 minutes to place order. Because really only one woman working. I'm from Boston I grew up eating Lobster. This place is terrible plus very expensive. $35 for very small Lobster roll that's mostly bread. Stay away very far away and save your money. Plus I also heard another couple complaints with beef sandwiches. It's definitely just a tourist trap, it's in the center square of Lauderdale by the sea. Better going to McDonald's

The hours said they would be open. They were not open at all. The windows were covered by paper as if they had shut down. It's a shame because my mother was looking forward to trying the food. I wonder if they moved and the address wasn't updated.

I never got past the rude woman who I’m assuming is the owner, I live here in LBTS, and there are many many other places to get a Philly cheese steak , ONEANS 101 has a fantastic one , with friendly service, you lost me and everyone I know

So this was my second time here. Figured I'd give the place the benefit of the doubt. A bit disappointing the first time. Second time the same. I was disappointed in the cashier not advising me they charge extra for using a credit card over cash purchases! Buyer beware. They charge the consumer their credit processing fee and then some. Cash bill 41. Card bill 43. Yikes. This will be my last visit here. Nothing special. Lived in Boston north end for most of my life and had many RB sands. For the price I'd rather make my own. The onion buns for the Supreme 3 way are substandard and too buttery. Did not feel like I was special for visiting, ie. No hello. No come back again. Just standard Fort Lauderdale service here is your food, yes I guaged you on price but we are the best. I give this place 2 years max before they fold. No customer service. The steak fries are great though. Would get those again for sure. I hope they beat my prediction, but you can only fool customers for so long. Let your customers know ahead of time that you charge more for using credit card!

The worst and most dangerous restaurant in Fort Lauderdale. There was a concert tonight so they illegally charged me an extra $5 for using my credit card. The owner called the BSO and told me I was not allowed at thoer location anymore. They actually verbally attacked me while I was eating my sandwich at a booth.

Drove 3 hours from Viera, FL to try this place for lunch today based on Dave’s review. I’ll be a monkeys uncle, they were out of Roast Beef because the manager forgot to put it in the oven. WHAT!! Hahaha.
