I've been dining at El Torito for over 15 years and I have always been satisfied with their Mexican cuisine. I eat the same dishes Chicken Burrito Especial or Chicken tacos. Can't go wrong with either of these choices. On Christmas my family and I planned out Christmas/slash birthday dinner there. We were given incorrect information about the menu and pricing and timing. Which through our experience off because many of our party were expecting certain food options and drink specials. The food service was slow and I think they were a bit understaffed. In lieu of the long wait they kept bringing us tortilla chips and salsa to compensate for the delay. Nice gesture, but didn't make up for the loss time and appetites. The food was just okay on this day, aome received cooler foods and not hot, sizzling fajitas lost their sizzle by the time it got to us, and we never received some drinks we ordered. Overall, I can't recommend this establishment based on this experience. However, I can recommend teying it on a non-holiday and speaking with a manager and having them to verify all details prior to your reservation date.

We decided to join a few friends on Sunday for dinner. My husband and I have been here a few times, but our experience on Sunday was not the best. I don't know if they were short of help. Our waitress was nice, but there was no follow up to check if we needed anything our food was room temperature and a few other things that happened.

I'm a long time fan but was very disappointed for my birthday dinner. The service ran very slow even when it was time to leave they gave me a to go flan which I hate no one was at the door if I wasn't a honest person I could have just walked out but my husband had to go find someone so we can just pay and leave then they want to sing happy birthday, No Thank You smh. Thank God my plate and drink was ok but my husband's plate was dry and not tasteful.

Showed up with coworker on friday evening for a beer n food. Service was little slow food was ok . Only thing that bother me is they serve a large $9 beer on a wine 🍷 cup?? Being to lots of bars never have i seeing this. I think its very taki all that to save $ on beer ,feel cheated . Every El Torito location differs on the quality and taste of the food. The prices are getting higher. We ordered a starters for $25, by the time we got it, the cheese on the nachos had solidified, the food was cold. The buffalo wings breading was think and hard, the flautas were too soft, the guacamole was lacking lemon and salt. For a platter this expensive, I did expected more. We got a flan and a non alcoholic margaritas and the bill came to $55 bucks. Thats without even having a main meal. Like I said, I've been to other locations and they do differ. The vibe is awesome the staff is friendly and make you feel good. The bar and dancing spot are fun and easy going. This is still a good spot but I hope they work on their prices and food quality.

I ordered the ignited fajitas and the beef was a little hard and little taste the chicken was dry the shrimp was good but most important of all the waitress Berenice was missing in action pretty much during my whole meal , I had to get up for napkins and hot sauce , I had to ask the manager, I think, for a refill . The one that was really nice was a bus lady , she brought me extra salsa , extra napkins and water when ever she saw me looking for my waitress, I wish I had gotten the name of this generous and nice bus lady , all I can say is that she wasn’t that tall she had very short hair ( a buzz) and she was Hispanic. Thank you P.S I am normally very tolerant and condescending and I don’t like to leave negative reviews but this was not a pleasant experience, btw even after this happened I left a tip.

Relaxing setting, fair service, skimpy portions for the price. I ordered the Fajitas Duo with steak and shrimp. Very skimpy on the protein, skimpier on the veggies....for 27 dollars. Not worth it. The shrimp were pretty much "goo". There are far better options in the area for a 27 dollar entree.

I was disappointed in the buffet and when we just ordered off the menu. For the buffet, the chocolate fountain seemed to not be properly melted at the right temperature and was not flowing consistently at the right level. Not appealing at all!! The desserts looked like the typical buffet desserts. Nothing that wowed you. The meats were okay, but only 3 options. Boneless Ham would have been my least favorite. The sides were typical for a buffet and they were just okay. The steak fajitas seemed like a smaller portion and a little overcooked. It didn’t sizzle very long. The pork carnitas seemed like a smaller portion as well. The enchiladas looked decent and cheesy.

Worse experience of my life. Was seated at 6 in the bar. Placed our order and waited patiently. 707 food came it had a hair and it was cold. I was done. Multiple people walked out while we were waiting for our food. Horrible service!

Walked in, the male host a strange demeanor, automatically made us a little uncomfortable. Got seated at a table, all the booths were full, then our server approached, she was friendly and brought us drinks and chips, she said she would be back with the salsa for the chips but she never came back with the salsa. So we ordered salad bar buffet because last time they had the fried shelll bowls and I wanted that, so I go over to the buffet, i got soup to start which was all broth...no chicken in the chicken tortilla soup where. I came back and the attendant lady was talking to an older man an employee...maybe the manager? Bald with glasses..?? Wearing all black.They both ignored me as I stood there waiting for someone to acknowledge me. So I went to get my food and decided to go back and ask when they were done and I asked..she rudely replied " we dont do that anymore!" So I went to sit down and eat after I got a taco from her. After I finished my meal, I went back and I asked if she had more soup..and there she was rude again!! Rolled her eyes and said " 1 second" to top all of this off i had a bug on my water cup so I just drank out of my water bottle. I tried to get my servers attention by moving my glass close to her when she walked by to another table and she looked and kept walking and didn't ever come ask about my water or bring my salsa. So service sucked, food was mediocre and soup had no meat. I wish we would have walked out when the host acted strangely. I guess we know better next time. Its just such a shock because last time we came on a monday, it was the complete opposite experience for us.

Disaster of an early (5 pm) dinner on New Year's Eve. It was not busy. Waitress was very slow and forgetful. My autistic child had the hamburger and after asking twice, she still never got any ketchup for her french fries. My wife had a salad instead of rice/beans, and it arrived at the table without salad dressing. I had the sizzling enchiladas. First bite and I pulled a hair out of my mouth that was so long, the other end was still in the enchilada. Had to go find the waitress. The manager replaced my entree, but they still charged me full price. Complete lack of awareness. My entree should have been comped as a sign of good will and hope for us to not disavow El Torito forever. It was an $80 bill and they missed the mark on 3 of 3 meals. We definitely won't be back.
