Tried the quesadillas, enchiladas, tortas, street corn and tacos. It was all amazing. Highly recommend the street corn. Beyond the food, service was great. It came under new ownership recently. The family that owns it is incredibly friendly and we had a great time just talking to them. The restaurant is very cute and hip. There is a nice amount of outdoor seating as well. Prices are also very reasonable 10-15 for the entree with rice and beans and toppings, which gives quite a bit of food.

Tomatillo is an excellent authentic Mexican restaurant that is very similar to Chipotle. All of the ingredients were very fresh, even at closing time. The staff was very friendly and willing to serve us despite closing in about 30 minutes. Especially for an area that doesn't have too many close by restaurant options in Palos Verdes, this is a great find!

My son and I just had lunch. The food was so fresh and delicious. It was obvious that they take special pride in sharing their restaurant with their customers.

Super cozy place! I work in the same building and really appreciate the authenticity. The food is great and they have a great meat variety. The meat is extremely tasty and everyone is super friendly which I love. Every now and then I stop by during my lunch for my authentic Mexican food cravings, definitely recommend!

Really great food, my kids got the mini-bowl and loved basics, the tomato rice, the beans, the corn. I got the adult bowls and was very impressed. All the food tasted great and very authentic. Very reasonably priced. Really friendly people. I gave 5-star for atmosphere but note that this is a basic take-out place with basic seats in a hole-in-the-wall location. Perfect for a casual quick bite.

Carnitas the way they're ment to made. Double fried and still juicy. But the best test of Mexican restaurant are the beans. And they pass.. whole pinto beans with a touch of flavor. A flavor that tells they slow cooked to perfection. Defiantly a the flavor of home cooking.

Amazing food! We ordered their soft tacos, it’s $ 11.00 for three, and they are generously filled to the brim. We loved their chips and salsa too! The atmosphere is great. They have indoor and outdoor seating, colorful painted walls, and lights outside.

Excellent! The burrito, horchata, and chips and salsa were great and the staff were friendly. I came with friends and accidentally payed for one of my friend’s food but the staff were quick to refund me for the small mistake. Would definitely come again if I’m in the area!

Maybe because I am white because whenever my Mexican girlfriend orders they give her great food. If you are white DO NOT COME HERE. They will give you unedible steak and a bad attitude. Maybe because I am white because whenever my Mexican girlfriend orders they give her great food. If you are white DO NOT COME HERE. They will give you unedible steak and a bad attitude. HIGHLY NOT RECOMMENDED PLACE if you don’t want to be overcharged and to deal with mad owner. The street AD clearly says “$5 Breakfast burrito”. I came in and asked for the breakfast burrito, when they asked I said without bacon or sausage. The cashier (the owner) charged me $7.48. I asked why I was charged 50% more and he said it is for guacamole sauce... Well, that’s fine, but I should be informed that it goes for extra charge, but nobody did that. They just added everything on top of my burrito. Also I paid his attention that I ordered with NO bacon and NO sausage, but he still charged me for the sauce... He said that bacon or sausage also goes for extra charge. Are you kidding me? When I asked what is included then in the breakfast burrito for $5, he became very mad and very rude. Began to throw things around aggressively, after I asked for the refund. Very bad business.
