OMG.... I can't say enough about the chicken sandwich this place has on their menu. Its to die for and I have to have at least 1x week, its that good. I even say they sandwich is better then that other chicken store that not open on Sundays. Compare them for your self and see, you won't be disappointed. As for as the service goes at this location, it's acceptable. I have never had issues with their c/s at this location. The only thing I noticed while using their drive threw is how slow they are when filling the orders. If there is more then 1 car in front of you do yourself a favor and shut your engine off, you'll thank me for this tip.

Just came here today and ordered a family meal and a few other things But they didn't have any Cajun fish anymore. Big boss got on and scared me for joking but explained to me why very well. The employees are great ppl here. I recommend coming here to get your fresh Popeyes chicken and side here. Fast workers here and it only took us under 7 mins for every thing to be done. See you Monday for the flounder 😁

This was only or second time at a Popeyes. When the staff learned our first experience was less than stellar, they went above and beyond to make it a wonderful visit. Each of the employees were incredibly polite and courteous and they made sure we got fresh, hot food that was delicious. This will definitely be our go to stop when passing through Redding from now on. Thank you for a great meal and customer service!!

This is actually my first time eating at Popeye's, and I know I was pushing it pretty late getting here 7 minutes before closing. I typically don't do that, but given this evening circumstances I did and I was very thankful and surprised to see this restaurant stayed open and continue cooking until they actually closed. Most of the fast food restaurants in town I've seen, they actually shut down 10 to 15 minutes before actually closing. As much as I understand you would like to go home for the evening, your hours of operation are stated until "x:yz" and you really need to be open until that time. All this to say that Popeyes was not only open but being my first time here they were quick, polite, and the food was delicious. I will definitely be making the trip again!

Me and my family stopped in to eat the food was good but as we were eating I noticed none of the employees had washed there hands or put gloves on when touching our food the employees weren't in uniform one lady was wearing a pink beanie no one had hair nets on our had there facial hair covered I talked to the manager she wasn't that professional at her job one of her employees kept arguing with us and we thought she was going to fight my daughter in law cause I was asking what there rules were I use to work at a fast food restaraunt and they were not following the procedures don't feel like this is a safe place to eat I know we won't go back

It’s a nice and seemingly new renovated Popeyes location! My friends and I were driving up to Oregon, and we stopped off here and all thoroughly enjoyed our stop. I got the classic fried chicken with mash and mac n cheese. It was all tasty, I suggest you eat the biscuit first before it gets closed.

We dont have in medford so it was a real treat..wanted to try the new sandwich but sold out like everyone else!!!

My personal experience at this location was great. I decided to go at opening in the morning and ordered 2 Chicken Sandwiches and they were amazing. The Chicken is crunchy and juicy. The Brioche buns, Pickle, and Mayo give the sandwich so much flavor. The customer service was also good and speed wasn't an issue

They have hands down the best chicken sandwich in town. They're usually pretty fast at the drive thru and will have your order ready when you get to the window. I've always been treated kindly by staff members and have never had an issue with my food.

The greatest fried chicken ever! The apple pies are like the old school McDonald's pies that were deep-fried. So good.

Nice very staff and the food is really good. The free promo nuggets are the bomb! I hope they keep them on the menu. Also their chicken sandwich is so much better than others. They can have CF. Right now 2 huge chicken sandwiches and a big box of juicy nuggets, $11.00. Don’t forget the sweet heat or mustard.

One of the nicest employees at this Popeyes I have ever meet. They made a mistake in my order and immediately apologized and gave me the correct items. Also offered to let us have the items they messed up on. I hope the manager knows what good employees he or she has. Food was delicious and hot thank you for that. My experience at this Popejoy's was wonderful. When i come back this way again i definitely will stop by again. Thank you for such a great time.

The way they cook their chicken sandwich is different from others. Popeyes feels less greasy and deliciously filling. I have eaten at a Popeyes on Louisiana Texas boarder near Houston and to get a little taste of that in Redding is great.

Not sure about the area. I was just visiting Redding Ca. There was one incident of a man getting mad and throwing his cup on the floor when the worker explained he can't just walk in with a cup & start filling it up at the drink station. Those are my words not the workers. He told him he needed to purchase a drink cup. The rest of the time was uneventful, nice & quiet. Food was so good!!

Chicken was good, but wasn't as tender and fresh as I would have liked! I do feel like maybe they were short staffed that day and the lunch rush I'm sure didn't help! They are super friendly and customer service was great! Wendy was amazing!!!

Wait in the drive- thru wasn't too long. Good customer service. The food was prepared accurately and was served hot. They forgot to give us any condiments. Ranch and ketchup would have been nice. We did get napkins. The food was tasty. Almost got that 5th star!

This is a good choice for chicken in Redding the food is always top-notch fresh , and the workers are very friendly and clean. their AC on the other hand is very cold in the restaurant so you might want to bring a sweater that's why I knocked one star off. besides that enjoy your chicken with confidence . it'll be fresh and the workers are happy and you'll get your money's worth

Popeye's Chicken is pretty good stuff, the service was a little slower than I anticipated, but it was the beginning of the evening dinner rush. I wish they had more specials; I had checked the website which offered specials to anyone who created a user account (not uncommon these days), but the website kept erroring out as I tried to create one. That's not the fault of the local franchise.

Only did drive thru. Take into consideration that Popeye's Chicken is not a fast-food location it takes a minute for the chicken to cook properly. I have absolutely no complaints my chicken was cooked to perfection

This is my all time favorite fried chicken / guilty pleasure, but this location is consistently low on their most popular inventory. I pretty much plan on them not having at least one thing I order everytime I stop. They are good about substituting another item, but I'd really just prefer to have what I want in stock! That said, staff is kind and friendly, and the premises always seem clean. Whatever we get is always good and very consistent. They've never gotten our order wrong, save for not having whatever we want.

The chicken sandwich was great; loved the macaroni and cheese. The staff were sweet and upbeat.

Right about what you can expect from your usual Popeyes. Chicken sandwich came out piping hot (but with an absolute mess of mayo). Good classic crunch to the breading, juicy meat. Cajun fries were pretty nice, not very cajun-heavy but they had enough seasoning to set them apart from normal fries.

Dropped by at 10am for some chicken sandwiches. First in line, still took 15 minutes to get our sammies but they were hot and delicious when we got them. The spicy was better than the original. The original was a little bland. The spicy had a little heat but not too much. The pickles were good. The chicken thickness can vary a lot but none of our 6 sandwiches seemed skimpy. One was very thick! Pro Tip, Eat your fried food immediately, in the parking lot, fried foods need to be eaten hot out of the oil ASAP. I still say KFC has the better chicken sandwich.

Chicken and fish sandwiches were great. Fish sandwiches had a 8 minute wait. Ordered lemon berry pies -9 minute wait. Got home to find out there were no lemon berry pies, just apple . Wait staff at the window was friendly. Inside store- not so much.,

The restaurant is part of a truck stop and it's always the dirtiest Popeyes that I've ever been to. Sad shape.

The chicken here is fresh and really good, ...but just don't be in any rush because for whatever reason they never have enough staff. I really wish Corporate would give them some people. They were out of the first 4 items we ordered. When we started eating our mashed potatoes, there wasn't even a spoon or fork! Went back through the drive thru, and they were out of those, too! That would have been a detail to know before we ordered rice and mashed potatoes. We went across the street to Wendy's for milkshakes. With spoons.

Popeyes is great! But they didn't have enough regular chicken for a 12 piece ready, so we had to do 50/50. The spicy is good, but not for the group I was getting it for. This Popeyes doesn't season their red beans and rice! It was bland as hell! That's sacrilege! No green beans either.

Takes way too long to bring you your food, and they've forgotten to give us our straws more then once. We had to sit and wait for someone to notice us waving them down to get a straw. Had a few workers just walk by after seeing us trying to get their attention. They have great food, don't get me wrong, but terrible customer service

Came when the restaurant when it first opened. Needed to use the restroom and wash my hands. Absolutely disgusting, trash can was completely full and overflowing, paper towels on the floor, dirty sink. I didn't even wash my hands, due to lack of cleanliness. I took my food and prayed over it.

Since I moved out here I came here 3 times and the food was bomb. Today my sandwich had so much mayo all over the bag both buns, it was gross. Not normal. They looked at me crazy when I showed them and said order light mayo. Why should I need to order light mayo for a NORMAL portion of mayo Popeyes normally gives…. Anyways. They gave me a new one. The mac and cheese I got had something crunchy in it. how? That’s never happened. It was like having eggshells in my eggs. I couldn’t even eat I ended up getting food from the habit. Hella nasty. I guess don’t come during the week in the afternoon

I ordered a 12 piece spicy mixed box chicken only, and a spicy chicken sandwich. I got/received 6 legs and 6 thighs, not one piece of white meat in the box. When I ordered they told me they didn't have any, then said it would take a couple of minutes which was fine, but when you pay for a box of mixed, you expect it to be from more than the back end of the bird!!

I placed an order on their app for a chicken sandwich, Cajun fries, chicken strips, and mashed potatoes. It went through and my card was charged nearly 45.00. (I usually don't eat here because it's so expensive but I had a craving.) My husband and I went to pick up our order and when we got to the drive thru, the woman told us that she didn't have a single thing that we had ordered. She sounded to me like she was being rude and like it was our fault that we ordered things they didn't have. She said that she wouldn't release the order so I should get my money back. I wondered why nobody called to inform us before we drove all the way there since our phone number is provided. The entire situation was handled very poorly and I won't return again. I'll be watching my banking closely to see if that charge is removed.

I would just like to start off saying that the customer service was good the manager was great she was a nice lady. the guy with the tattoos all over he was really sweet too buuuut....... We ordered the shrimp tackle box the fish sandwich no combo and an 8 piece chicken only and it came to just about $40 I thought that was ridiculous anyway the food was horrible it wasn't even fresh and I'm only saying that cause they made me wait a extra 3 mins for the sandwich because it was supposedly cooking coming out fresh. everything was blah I was so disappointed because I was so hungry and I love Popeyes but I've gotta say this the worst Popeyes I've ever had with the best customer service the manager even threw in a free biscuit for us I could have broke my windshield with it as hard as it was 💯

Went to Popeye's last night to get some chicken sandwiches cuz I really like them. Waited in the Drive-Thru for 15 minutes while the people inside did whatever finally decided to pull through the drive-thru still ended up waiting behind another car for another 10 minutes for them to get their food. We never did get to order

Staff appeared to be disorganized and ill-prepared. I was very disappointed in that I was not informed of the 15 minute wait time for the chicken to cook until after I paid for my order. Thankfully, I received a refund. However, I'm skeptical about returning.

I've never been to a Popeyes store and based on this experience i won't go in the future. The tables were sticky and had crumbs everywhere. The food was bland, even the fried food. The young gentleman behind the counter made us feel like we were bothering him.

The chicken sandwiches are bomb. But they always close before it says they're closed, the employees will leave you at the drive through ordering box for 5 minutes sometimes without saying anything. They try to convince me 1/5 times to not order my large side. As much as I enjoy the sandwiches, they should just shut down.

This place is a rip off.I ordered LgCmb. They gave me enough coleslaw for two small bites. I also ordered Mac and cheese they said they where out but could give me fries. They gave me a small everyday and still charged me for large.

Store was out of most of there sauces. They we also out of a few sides. They offer no substitutions. This store seems to be getting worse over time. And their prices no longer reflect what you get. $23 for a large meal, that the only had half of the items for. And they took away the biscuit as part of the meal for half the menu. Also the large sides are a joke. Not worth you money.

I travel all over the country and I’ve only had two terrible experiences at Popeye’s restaurants and both were at this location. The first time the food was evidently under the heat lamp for so long it was inedible. I had forgotten about it or I would not have went back. This time after sitting for 15 minutes in the drive thru I finally backed out. When I did I saw two employees sitting on the curb smoking cigarettes. This location would better serve the community as a parking lot!!!

They’re not good with following specific instructions, and they refuse to give you honey, even if you purchased food which is ridiculous

We don’t live locally, but we were driving through and stopped at this Popeye’s. We got to the door and pulled it open, only to be screamed at by the manager. “Our lobby is CLOSED! Drive thru ONLY!!” No “I’m sorry, but our lobby is closed at this time. Please use the drive thru.” You know, how any decent employee, let alone a MANAGER, should speak to customers. No sign on the door saying that the lobby was closed. Just an immature manager who has no business being a manager or dealing with the public. Thank god we don’t live here and won’t have to deal with her again. I hope corporate sees this and does something. Customer service training for employees would be great. We ended up at Jack In The Box across the street and they were extremely nice! Take a lesson from them Popeye’s Redding!

Not sure what the issue is with this location. The staff is rude, the wait is long, orders are never accurate. Second time this week I’ve came by to pick up a doordash order, waiting over 30 mins just for the staff to tell me they still haven’t started the order because they’re “waiting on the chicken strips”, my order didn’t even include chicken strips. Why do you use the same lie of an excuse everytime you don’t have the order ready? And what’s more confusing, is there was ONE or two other cars in the drive through both times. It’s not like they’re busy. Young lady in drive through with glasses gave us a lot of attitude for no reason. Pretty sure all the employees are on drugs/have no idea what’s going on.

The worst Popeyes I've been to... ordered a simple 3 piece combo meal, dark meat only. Recieved 2 out of the 3 pieces white meat, no biscuit or fries. Tried calling 5x and no one answered. Dirty inside and out.

An order was made wrong, my wife was polite and went for a refund and was refused. She felt embarrassed and had no idea what to do next. I had to drive across town with Customer Service on the phone to get the refund. I love Popeyes, but this was a difficult experience.

Waited Almost 5 min infront of employee who was to take our order. The greeting was delayed. The men’s bathroom (husband attempted to use) was absolutely disgusting. Got our large order and luckily asked about the apple pies. Had to wait almost 10 more minutes because they forgot to make them. Worst dining experience so far .

I go there all the time at least once a week for the two can dine meal. Usually had no issues and if I did they fixed it. Lately I’ve been going and it’s just the worst service I’ve ever experienced. FREEZING cold fries, all the meat they give me in my meal is 6 wings and it’s all dried out with no meat on it. Everyone knows wings have minimal to no meat .. I wait at the window for 15 + minutes when I’m the only one there, not sure why?? My food isn’t fresh.. I call to complain of course a “manager” never calls me back. I miss the old employees who actually cared if the customers were getting decent food. I’m all down for waiting a few extra minutes but not for cold and meat less food

The staff the last few months have been horrible. Always seems to be someone on the window that does not know the menu, and connot hear you on the drive through. Took over 40 minutes and I was only the third car in line. Got the order wrong even after repeating it back to me three times. While sitting at the pick up window, watch the other two guys in the kitchen stand there talking, bother looked stoned out of their minds. Horrible experience and will never go back even though I like their food, hope the other location has better staff.

Ordered DoorDash and refused to fulfill the entire order, dasher said the employee “Didn’t feel like making my side of fries because they closed in half an hour” by the time my dasher arrived to pick up the order. Absolutely unprofessional and will not be ordering again, fries take 2 minutes! Ridiculous

Went there for dinner the other night. Got a meal deal 12 piece with 2 sides of gravy and mash plus a 12 piece nugget. Firstly, i asked for a receipt and never received one. Secondly i understand that they were out of alot of product but for the 20min wait at JUST the speaker before they even took my order plus the amount I did spend, I did NOT expect all my food to be ice cold, stale and just disgusting by the time I finished my 5min car ride back home. Just ended up throwing it all away and had to order in by that time I've been calling the store and have left a message but no one has answered or called me back. Highly disappointed.

Cold fries, out of classic chicken sandwiches, out of Dr. Pepper and long wait when we were the only car/customers in drive through. Ask for extra pickles on our spicy chicken and only got 2 slices each. Cost was 35 dollars for 1 classic chicken sandwich, 5 pieces bone in chicken, 2 #11 with extra pickles ( did not get extra) very expensive, long wait, cold fries and out of product!!

If I could give zero stars, I would. We ordered Popeyes through DoorDash, and when the dasher came, she said she sat there and waited, that they handed the food to her with the sauce completely POURED all over the containers in the bag, and that when she asked them to remake our food; they said it would be a while longer. The door dasher sat there and apologized to us for Popeyes behavior. How pathetic do you have to be to behave that way, especially when you make $20/hr making food? There is zero reason for that. If you can’t handle your job, quit. Don’t ruin other peoples day when they’ve done nothing to you.

This place needs to get shut down. They are completely overcharging. The prices are WAY to high. Go to Chicken Shack or Chick-fil-A if you want good chicken and more reasonable prices. This place is not worth driving too. Unless you want to pay 3 times the amount as other places. If they gave reasonable prices, then the drive thru and inside wouldnt be so empty ALL the time.

We went to this restaurant about 10 years ago, What happened to the menu and your food?? Your food is horrible now!! Your drink machines were empty of all Diet Coke products!! Your staff, on the other hand, was great, extremely nice, and the restaurant was extremely clean. We had shrimp, mac and cheese, mash potatoes, two-piece chicken breast and thigh, and two biskets.

I would give zero stars if I could. I don't know why they are even open they are always out of everything, including CHICKEN. Even the new stuff thats posted all over their signs they don't have. Apparently, they never ordered it. Even the stuff they do so call have they make you park and wait for. Just don't waste your time and go somewhere else.

I checked their website for the store hours and found out they close at 10 pm. I placed an online order around 9 pm, then drove to the location. Upon arrival, nobody was on the speaker. It seemed to be turned off. I waited in line for about 5 minutes before driving up to the window. Once at the window, nobody was there. The window was open, employees were listening to music in the back, but nobody came to the window. I waited another 5 minutes before a employee walked right past the window to go outside. She didn't even acknowledge that I was there. I honked my horn to try to get their attention, but nobody came to the window still. I called and nobody answered. Finally, an employee came out from the back and was about to walk outside but my fiance asked if they were open and he looked at the time and said no. However, the website says they are open until 10 pm and it was around 9:25 pm. Long story short, all fryers and heat lamps were turned off. They were out of food. I then had to request a refund through customer support because they do not offer refunds for online orders in store. I will not be back!

Food safety is not a priority here. While sitting in the drive thru not a single employee handing food was wearing gloves. I repeatedly saw them tough their face, hair and jeans without washing their hands before touching an order. Another employee was picking his nose and then once again without washing his hands touched the chicken. I do have a food safety certificate for the last 8 years and have worked both in fast food and at a restaurant under no circumstances was this okay

This location has ruined one of my guilty pleasures. I previously enjoyed Popeyes in SoCal, but the Redding location has been a disappointment. After 3 attempts, I ceased visiting due to the subpar food quality, which tasted stale and unappetizing. Upon closer observation during my 2nd visit. The entire establishment, including the employees, appeared dirty. They have broken protocol and ruined something great. I am concerned about the cleanliness and hygiene practices, particularly handwashing, which I suspect are not being followed. To improve, I suggest hiring management and staff from Chick-fil-A, but only if the location undergoes significant cleaning and sanitation improvements.

Rip off in the drive through. Ordered 2 sandwiches and 2 small waters. No amount provided. Simply drive to the next window. We expected to pay cup price as they charge over at the one at exit 680. Nope. $2.59 each, plus tax, for two small cups of water.

After a long car drive my family was hungry for chicken with pass Popeyes experiences being good we thought to go to this Popeyes. The only positive I can say was the chicken was good however the biscuits was gross and the Mac n cheese was dry and also gross. (The 8 year old in the family said box Mac n cheese is better). I believe the lady that helped us was the manger - she was great however non of the staff seem to listen to her even times telling her no when asked to bring us our Mac n cheese because we been waiting awhile. Turns out they forgot to put our chicken in and ended up blaming each other, apparently everyone was at lunch at the time we ordered. The manger let us have some chicken while the rest was cooking, I appreciate that however when she was busy doing other things and the fresh chicken came out other people started to get their order before us. Staff was very unprofessional and didn’t have a clue what was going on. If you’re expecting good service and good food I suggest going to a different Popeyes, I heard others are really good. Spent 51 dollars for mid food and poor service. Ps: not to mention there was people waiting before us that we didn’t know about.

45 minute wait for food to be halfway cold is ridiculous they make you park in front and wait forever. They do this so their drive thru time isn’t bad but if it was honest it’d be about an hour.

Do not order food from here but if you do BE SURE TO GET A RECEIPT. I went through the drive through and got a family meal. Paid for it and was never given a recipe. No big deal as I’ve never had an issue with orders. I was told they were waiting on biscuits and to please pull to the front and they would bring the order out. I waited 30 minutes and no one came out and so I went inside. Inside I told them I was still waiting for my order. The girl that took my order came out and told me that she already handed it to someone. The manager then came over and tried to tell me to check with the other people in my car to see if they took the order. I straight up said we’ve all been in the same car and I would know if an order was handed to them. They then asked for my receipt and I told them I was never given one and again the manager asked me to check with the other people in my car. At this point I was frustrated and said I was going to call the police and they could review the surveillance to confirm. They finally checked the orders and confirmed that they handed my order to the wrong person so they made my order. But the most frustrating part is that the manager then had the audacity to tell me to not overreact after I’ve been accused of stealing
