A treat that lives up to expectations. All the dishes have an appetizing presentation and a delicious flavor. We came here on the recommendation of our hotel owner, and although, at first glance, the bar atmosphere doesn't match that of the dining room, it was worth not trusting the first impression. The girl who served us was lovely, and the atmosphere was very pleasant. Perhaps the prices are a bit high.

A charming country-style restaurant serving high-quality, well-prepared, and beautifully presented homemade food. The service is excellent; the waitresses make you feel right at home—they're so friendly and attentive. We ordered some appetizers to share and a main course each, and everything was fantastic! Parking is easy right next to the restaurant. Definitely worth a visit!

A beautifully restored old house where the food is superb. The quality of the ingredients (a variety of breads at lunchtime) and the delicious homemade desserts are excellent. The service is outstanding; a big round of applause for all the staff. There's another, more elegant dining room on the first floor. They have a menu. A good selection of tapas and the Spanish omelets are fantastic. A great find; don't hesitate to stop by.

Paramos por casualidad ,el ambiente muy bueno con música de fondo ,el personal muy atento ,comido buena aunque la carne la he comido mejor en otros lugares ,el pulpo muy bueno aunque para sus 24€ poca cantidad,los chipirones muy buenos y grandes ,el entrecot tirando a frío estaban más calientes las patatas ..y sabor pasable el postre muy bueno pero para sus 8€ pov cantidad .. Las fotos de pulpo y chipirones es justo la mitad,hice la foto cuando ya estaba repartiendo .

Excellent quality food, very well prepared. We had some amazing croquettes! The entrecote was perfectly cooked and cooked to perfection, the cod was tender and not too salty, and the hake pintxo was delicious! For dessert, a Ferrero Rocher ingot 🤤 The waiter was incredibly friendly and attentive, always asking how we were. The only downside was that it was cold in the dining room, even though we were at a table in the back… I would recommend heating the dining room a bit, as it's not pleasant to eat in the cold. But otherwise, a 10 out of 10!

We went for lunch with the family on the weekend. The dining room was very cozy. They had a weekend menu for €28, but we opted for the à la carte menu. There were four of us. We ordered three starters: Galician-style octopus, croquettes, and Huelva prawns. The main course was baked turbot, hake, grilled hake, and baby squid with onions. For dessert, we had homemade rice pudding (very good) and pantxineta. The staff were very nice (both the waitress who served us in the dining room and the bar staff were very friendly). Average prices. The town where everything is located is surrounded by green meadows and the Sierra Salvada mountain range in the background. You can visit the Maroño reservoir and take a route to the Etxaurren hermitage. I recommend it.

La comida sólo aceptable, tuvimos que devolver un plato de 'paella' que no llegaba a arroz y la camarera nos dijo que nos lo cambiaba por otra cosa. Pedimos a cambio una ensalada que nunca llegó y pasaron a los segundos platos directamente.

No, sirs, no. On November 22, 2025, seven adults and two children went to have the tasting menu, choosing from the à la carte menu. Regarding the quality/quantity, I wasn't very satisfied with the tasting menu. Above all, I find it completely unacceptable that we had to return most, if not all, of the dishes because they were freezing cold. While that might be a kitchen oversight (and such oversights are part of the experience of enjoying the food), returning them to be reheated and receiving them cold again is absolutely unacceptable.

The restaurant is a pleasant place, with good music, and although it's small, the tables were well-spaced. The food was a mixed bag. First, they were out of ribeye steak (a product that keeps for weeks in cold storage), which is rare to find on a Sunday at lunchtime in the Basque Country. The croquettes were very good, and the meats, both entrecote and beef cheeks, were excellent. I'll never understand why they charge for tap water, even if it comes from a filter machine; if I'm going to pay for water, it should be bottled! The salads were acceptable, a good combination of ingredients, but I expected them to be a bit bigger. Furthermore, I wouldn't order the cod again; it was somewhat salty and clearly frozen, like something you'd find at the supermarket. The pil-pil sauce somewhat redeemed it. The desserts are good.

The price-performance ratio could be improved, but the portions are rather modest for the menu price. What's missing is a more thoughtful preparation, details like the frozen croquettes with uneven temperatures throughout and the frozen potatoes on the side. Good service at the table.

The restaurant looks nice, so I can't comment on it because I haven't eaten. But I went in for a glass of wine, ordered a Txomin Etxaniz txakolí, and they served me an Astobiza without asking. I saw the bottle of Astobiza and asked if it was a Txomin (clearly it wasn't, it didn't have a stem), and they said yes again. So, unfortunately, my opinion of the bar's service can't be positive. If they don't have a certain wine, it's fine—they can't have them all—but they shouldn't try to deceive the customer...
