I had the steak frites and a pomegranate lemon drop martini. Delicious 😋. Will visit again.

The experience was excellent, and the crawfish crepe and chocolate praline cake were amazing.

Always a treat to come here. Their brunch is delicious, dinner is consistently high quality and their staff meeting is pleasently polite and professional. I always enjoy coming here for celebrations.

Nice upscale restaurant. I didn't have to wait too long. My steak was juicy and tender and the potatoes were awesome. My drink was ok. My waiter was really attentive. I even got a hows your meal from management. I reccomend.

Anjou is one of our favorite brunch places in town. They offer a modest selection of absolutely delectable items on the brunch menu, none of which you can go wrong with. This time I tried the Crawfish Crepe and was delighted by the savory, smooth flavor of the creole cream sauce. With the crawfish bites, the andouille sausage, and the roasted mushrooms on top of the crepe filled with goat cheese, it was a mouth watering culinary creation. It was quite perfectly paired with some lightly steamed broccoli. They also offer a pretty fun selection of mimosas for brunch, including a flight. My girlfriend tried the cherry bomb mimosa and was instantly a fan. For food, she ordered the crowd favorite baked french toast. It was almost like having a delicious bread pudding and she enjoyed every last crumb of it. Will have to come back again!

It's not a place you eat everyday, it's a place you take that someone special to impress. Good food and atmosphere, we really enjoyed our time.

Passing through and stayed neared and wanted to walk to some place for food. Order take out and was NOT disappointed!!! We got the mussels, large Caesar salad with salmon and cream brûlée. All of was delicious and delectable. This is a must try restaurant.

Delicious. You really cannot go wrong with anything on the menu. We sat outside on the patio which made for a lovely time.

I just flew in and checked into a hotel nearby and walked over as I was starving. I was wearing jeans and a hoodie for comfortable travel attire. When I walked in and seen it was a more formal environment, I expected to be turned away, however, I was pleasantly surprised that they were amazingly friendly. I walked up and said just me today and the hostess joked that I shouldn’t say it like that and should be excited to have time to relax and enjoy the chance for quietness!! I loved it! No, they didn’t hide me in some back corner - I had a full view of the host area. The food was amazing! I had escargot as an appetizer and the duck breast with butternut squash for main. Washed down with a Pimm’s Cup (highly recommended). Then for dessert was crème brûlée! Everything was great! My server was amazing! I had flown in for a job interview the next day. If all goes well with the job, I’ll soon be back here, dining again!

Who guessed that would be such an upscale restaurant in Mississippi. And it’s done right, quality plays with a real chef. I sat at the bar, the service could’ve been better, but the food was good.

If you haven’t been, this place is a gem. The food is great and the mimosa flight is the best. I will definitely be back.

Never in my life have I ate at a more fancy restaurant than this one. I came here with my sister for her birthday and we got the "date night special" and let me tell you it was the best food I have ever had. First we ate red fish beignets. They were crispy on the outside and smooth and creamy on the inside. They came with a delightful sauce that made them taste even better. Second we ate the corn soup. It was so tasty yet light. The flavor was evenly distributed. Third I got the fried fish and my sister got the medium steak. We both sampled each others dish and were both pleased. Lastly for dessert we ate the Crème brûlée and it was the best thing I have ate in my entire life. Nothing will ever top that. I recommend this place for any fancy dinner. And one day I will come back.

If I could give it more than 5 stars I would! The service was beyond amazing! Crystal was incredible! She was friendly, humorous and attentive! She made suggestions and did not disappoint considering this was our first time here! The food was fresh and oh so good! I normally add salt to everything, not this time, not this restaurant! I had the steak and frites which she suggested and it was well seasoned and juicy! I will definitely return and hope Crystal is our server again!

Great restaurant that I found near my lodging when I was visiting. I decided to treat myself to something nice for my birthday and I was not disappointed. The place is very fancy and has a charming vibe. It's located near a lake so there is a good view out of plenty of the windows. The food was really good, I got the Escargot and a Croque monsieur. The escargot was a perfect 10/10 and the Croque monsieur was a solid 7/10, lot of cheese, but still very good.

Beautiful brunch restaurant ambience was great. Crab claws were tough I have never has a tough crab claw. Redfish sandwich was great and zucchini fritters were so good.

This is probably my 4th time eating at this restaurant. But today was the best that I have experienced this far. I can’t remember the male bartenders name but his service was excellent. He also made a great tasting Amaretto sour. It was so good that I had a 2nd and I rarely drink alcoholic beverages. I had the shrimp linguine and as usual I started eating before taking photos 😃 It was very good and I’ll probably go back soon to order it once again. I love the location and outdoor seating. It’s a very relaxing environment. I highly recommend dining at this restaurant!

My husband and I had a romantic dinner at Anjou a few weeks ago. We chose to sit at a booth in the bar which is typical for us. It was lively but not over crowded and we felt cocooned in our corner booth. It was nice to be able to view the other patrons without really being noticed. The service was on par, our waiter was efficient and attentive. But the star of this experience was the food. I had the filet with compound butter, medium rare, with asparagus and the dauphinois potatoes. My steak had a wonderfully charred crust and was cooked to perfection. My husband had the lamb chops mid rare with roasted potatoes and vegetables. We were absolutely satiated. A delightful experience.

My family and I had an event here for my mom. I was a little scared because I was planning from out of state and wasn’t able to see the restaurant until the day of. You will not be disappointed! The service was excellent. The waiter and waitress was attentive and the food was great. The ambience can’t be beat! Simple elegance. Thank you for a wonderful experience for my mom. First time here. We couldn’t decide on a mimosa so we just both got a flight 😅 his steak was perfectly cooked and fall apart tender. I’ve never had escargot either so we tried that. Soft and not at all chewy. It tasted like butter and herbs. Everything was perfectly cooked! Ended with the strawberry crepe and we scraped that plate clean. Such a light and tasty way to end our meal! Will be back to try the dinner menu!

The food was great. Service was awkward. We had one waitress introduce herself. We asked her to give us a moment with the menus. Then we had another waitress introduce herself. Awkward! We didn't know what was going on, then the 2 waitresses were talking once the first realized she was taking her table. Talk about an uncomfortable situation, lol. Restaurant was nice. Was surprised that there was food on the floor beside our chairs when we were seated. Would have thought they would cleaned from last tables. Wine selection was good. Would have liked to see a wider selection of wine by the glass. Once waitress situation was resolved, everything went great.

I ducked into Anjou, Thursday, to have a celebratory cocktail after attending a very special function. I ordered a Grey Goose Cosmo, which Dalton the bartender, expertly knocked out of the park. It was delicious. I also enjoyed the Shrimp and Pork Belly Mascarade appetizer. The menu said they are tossed in sweet chili sauce but it was much more on the sweeter side. They don’t have blue cheese dressing, so I ordered some crumbles to add to it. I ordered the Duck Entree to take home and a half Anjou salad to which I also added Blue Cheese Crumbles. They were both good. I did think that the Duck Entree should have come with more than two Asparagus spears for $32. The restaurant is beautiful and the service is friendly.

Anjou is a must-try for lunch, brunch, dinner and/or drinks! It’s a great lunch spot during the week. Daily specials and old standbys. Fried catfish on fridays and home to the best French fries in the metro area! Try them with some feta sauce. The daily lunches are all good with solids choices of veggies and/or salad. The brunch is amazing. Benedict’s, poached eggs that are not overcooked and good drinks. Dinner is special. Steak frites. Fishes and pasta dishes. Service is excellent. The bar scene is good and skews more mature. The atmosphere is inviting. It’s a little piece of France in Ridgeland, Ms!

I had a delightful experience eating here. To start, the second I entered the establishment. I felt a warm, welcoming feeling. Once I got inside, I did not have to wait long in order to get a table for two. I ordered the BBQ Shrimp & Grits and it tasted absolutely amazing. The staff and our waitress were very polite and helpful. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to my friends and will be coming back.

Got the courage to go back and glad we did! Everything was excellent. We did the early bird special menu which was slightly smaller portions (still plenty of food). Ham and cheese sandwich (croquet monsieur) and Cajun shrimp pasta with salads (awesome dressings). We had a long date night with great food and cocktails (perfectly strong). Crowd was a bit thin, but we had a great table and it will definitely be back in our rotation.

We went to Anjou Restaurant for a Dinner Detectives Theater. It was great. We were in a nice enclosed room with the whole group. The servers were fast and efficient. The food was great and the show was fabulous!!! Go to Anjou Restaurant and see the Dinner Detectives show!!! I highly recommend it!!!

This restaurant has amazing food and a great atmosphere. I had good conversation with the bartender while I sat and enjoyed a meal by myself on a work trip. The vibe was so good I decided to take a co-worker back with me the next evening. We had excellent meals and great service with another friendly patron. Unfortunately, I totaled my receipt and tip incorrectly by a few cents that evening. I realized the mistake when expensing the trip... The manager did his due diligence and helped me to rectify the siutation over the phone promptly. A+++

After 2 experiences here, I'm a fan of Anjou Restaurant. Great interior decor. Intelligent tasteful music. Food is simply Excellent, well seasoned and artfully presented. Our server today was professional, affable and displayed a Can-Do attitude that accommodated the customer's dining requirements.

The food was absolutely delicious. The quiche flaky and full.of flavor. French n onion soup prepared just right. Creme Brule prepared traditionally and brilliantly... great atmosphere and service. HIGHLY RECOMEND. I cannot wait to return and try other items. Just delicious!

Thanks Anjou! You were very accommodating. As I had been turned away at another establishment. It was kind of late 8:46 pm & closing time was 9 pm. You guys went above & beyond. I wanted a meal tonight. I'm in a hotel 4 to 5 nights a week & I wanted something other than door dash & you guys made that happen. & the Trout with risotto was amazing! Thanks a bunch.

Bartender is top-notch… I don't remember his name, but I was there on Sunday June 29th.. his drinks were impeccable… as was his service... the food was the best I've had since I've been in Jackson

I went here recently and it was really good! It is a little pricey but part of the reason people go here is for the fancy atmosphere. They have a great selection of wines and their house wines are moderately priced. I loved the savory Zucchini beignets appetizer that they have. For my meal I got the duck which was really good and the sides we great as well.

No matter what I have ordered, the food has been delightful! The servers are attired in white button-down shirts and dark trousers. They greet each patron with a warm smile. I'm sure it's required, but they are well versed on the menu of offerings and quickly share suggestions that pair well with specific items. The atmosphere is soft, luring and sophisticated --everything you'd expect from a higher-end restaurant with white tablecloths. Take your special person, group/party or professional team to Anjou. You'll love it!♥️

Nina was my bartender. She was sweet, attentive, and so helpful with describing menu items! I asked her to make me a sweet drink and it was delicious! The bar itself was SO elegant. I had the Friday special catfish with black eyed peas and mac n cheese.. yum!!!! Anjou’s atmosphere and food quality topped with Nina’s fine dining service was spectacular.. definitely will be back!!!

It’s been awhile since I’ve done a Restaurant (Food Review). So here’s MY opinion of ANJOU Restaurant located at 361 Township Ave., Ridgeland, MS 39157. Let me note that this restaurant *Has outdoor dining, *Has a private dining room, and *Serve vegetarian dishes. We were seated as soon as I gave the Receptionist my name. Our waitress name was (Palace) and she was on it all night. It appeared as if she had at least 5 other tables as well, but she didn’t let that stop her. We were given their complimentary French Bread🥖; which came out hot and soft. It was quickly devoured!🥴 Appetizers! Next came the appetizers, we ordered Fried Oysters and Escargots De Bourgogne (snails). Let me state on the record, they were thee best fried oysters we’ve ever had.😮‍💨 Then came the Escargots! Same taste!😩 Entrè After that, my wife ordered the Duck Breast; which came with (roasted butternut squash and asparagus finished with a green peppercorn Bordeaux wine sauce.) The duck was a bit chewy and the taste was ok. We gave it a 6.5/10. I ordered the Redfish; which came Sautéed and topped with jumbo shrimp served with mashed potatoes and fresh vegetable finished with lemon butter sauce. The Redfish, shrimp and lemon butter sauce was decent; it could’ve used a little more seasoning. The broccoli was rather hard🤦🏾‍♂️, but good to say the least. (7.8/10) Cocktails!🍸 🍹😮‍💨 Parisian Daiquiri (Bacardi light, St. Germain, and fresh lime juice) Lemon Drop🍋 Let’s just say, Anjou will knock you down with these. They were very generous with the liquor and they tasted amazing! (10/10) for both! Dessert 🍮 Strawberry Crepe (Sweet crepe stuffed with fresh strawberries and whipped cream.) Though this was simple, it was SCRUMPTIOUS!😩😮‍💨😋 The total atmosphere was great and we’ll definitely add it to our round of restaurants. So concluding, here’s my overall score of ANJOU!🤩 Cleanliness: 10/10 Service: 10/10 Food: 7.9/10 Drinks: 10/10!! (You’ll end up in those bushes outside!🤣🤣) Also, you can make Reservations Online!👍🏾

Our first time to try French cuisine . The atmosphere absolutely met our expectations. Each of us went out of our way to try food outside outside the comfort zone. I got the scallops and could not have been happier. Great service and an extensive wine list all combined for a great evening.

I love Anjou! It’s one of my favorite restaurants in the Jackson-Metro area. French inspired cuisine. Love their salads! Customer service is always on point. Great location. The escargot and French onion soup are amazing.

We thoroughly enjoyed this great restaurant. The food was well prepared and presented. Great cuts of meat and great sides. The bar would do well to stock some top shelf bourbon and whiskey.

Absolutely amazing service and food. I had the honey rosemary chicken tenders; very delicious twist on a basic dish. The atmosphere is really peaceful, the tables aren't too close together so you aren't bumping into other people or hearing other people's conversations. The view outside the window has a really pretty lake to look at; excellent wine and dessert selection as well. If I wasn't just visiting I would be a regular; the menu is so varied that I would like to try all of it.

I went and sat in the bar and I had excellent service! I had the French onion soup as an appetizer, and it was very delicious. Then I had the redfish with shrimp and it was also very delicious! I would highly recommend this restaurant and the atmosphere is very nice too!

I was getting skeptical with the reviews but I wanted to try it anyway. I’m so glad I did! From the time we walked in until we walked out it was worth it! I wish I knew the name of our waiter. He was the best at guiding us through the whole experience. It was a combination 62nd birthday and retirement celebration. We had escargot appetizer. Husband had Anjou salad, I had French onion soup. Husband had lamb chops and I had duck breast. We topped our meal off with the creme brûlée. I have nothing but great things to say about it all.

Excellent food. We went for the Detectives Dinner Theater. Highly recommend them both. The detectives can be a little crude in their humor, so know what you're getting into. The service for a large group like that isn't as attentive, but still good. They serve between scenes so get a refill in advance.

S
Shannon B Cain

The restaurant was great but the service was even better. If you get a chance, ask for Kennedy! She outdid herself by asking questions about what we like and don't like and helped us navigate the menu. The suggestions she made were absolutely perfect, our meal was delicious and felt personally crafted for us. ASK FOR KENNEDY

Anjou is consistently great! Their service is personal and efficient. You are always greeted with a smile when you walk in the door. You have the same experience whether in the bar or in the dining area..the food is consistently 5/5. It’s a high end restaurant with a “ neighborhood” vibe.5/5 on all counts!

Excellent salmon. Friend had huge and perfectly seared sea scallops with rissoto.

Great ambiance!! Good service. The food was really good but a bit on there pricy side. Had the mushroom soup, cheese and meat platter - which was so so, and the scallops which was really good and made the $54 price tag acceptable.

Ate On The Patio During Dinnertime (Highly Recommended). Atmosphere Was Quiet, Was Able To Enjoy The Meal As I Looked Out Towards The Pond (A Few Ducks In Sight). There Was A Bread Appetizer That Was Delicious. A Simple White Bread That Was Served Warm, With A Nice Crunch To The Crust, Though A Soft Interior That Melted With The Butter. (Yum) Ordered The Sweetest Red Wine ( A Blend) Though This Was Offered Warm. Was Unable To Detect Any Sweet Notes Or Find The Wine Pleasant Through The Biting Alcoholic Flavor. This Was Unfavorable Though Didn't Detract From The Entree Or Appetizer. The Menu Was Simple To Understand With Common Ingredients. Was Able To Navigate The Food Options With Ease (Even Though I Am Unfamiliar With Southern/French Cuisine). Best Part Was The Rum Bread Pudding! Would Have Taken A Photo, Though This Was Consumed Quite Quickly ;)

Food was good and service was OK. I came in on a slow mid-week night and apparently during a shift change. It took nearly 10 min to get a menu and water. Once the waiter finally came, the service was good!

R

We had dinner at Anjou, and it was very nice. While they had an extensive selection of wines, they didn't really have any significant selection of spirits, which was disappointing. I had the ribeye steak, with potatoes and asparagus. The food was all exceptional, and well worth the price paid. The cheesecake desert was ok, but fairly dry. The appetizers were all great though! I knocked off one star due to service though. While in mid conversation with our business partner, the waitress walked up and tried to talk over us, and then in a disgruntled manner, walked away quickly while rolling her eyes. I'm sure this can't be a common thing, but it was enough to make everyone at the table notice and be less satisfied with the meal. Anjou is a great restaurant and we had a good experience. The waitress' attitude wouldn't stop me from giving this another try in the future.

A
Andrew Smith

The restaurant is impeccably decorated. The atmosphere is probably the best in the area. Our server was incredible! We were a party of approximately 6 couples. Each couple had a separate ticket. She did everything like a champ! The tickets were all accurate and I didn’t mind the 20% gratuity they charge for large parties. The food has been better on other visits. It was over seasoned a little. I had an appetizer as my entree. It was Shrimp and Pork Belly Masquerade. It was too salty but good. My wife had the crepe. She allowed me to sample it. It was great! It was a little too spicy for her but just right for me! The photo is of the Shrimp and Pork Belly Masquerade.

It doesn’t look like management checks and responds to these reviews, so this post is for patrons: Avoid lounge seating between 1pm-5pm. The service in this area is lackluster at best. I’m willing to extend the young man (our server) some grace because he’s the *only* person waiting tables and serving the bar. That said, he needs training. He didn’t introduce himself by name, it took him ages to refill our drinks, he didn’t ask if we’d been to the restaurant before, etc. He’s not rude; he just needs training. The young lady who brought our food to the table was downright nasty. She didn’t ask if we needed anything (we did), and when we dared to ask her for sauce (something I’d requested when I ordered the meal), she rolled her eyes as if I disrupted her day. Her entire demeanor was unapproachable and rude. She needs training. Now onto the food…The food is a 10 out of 5!!! I really hope management gives the kitchen a raise. Literally everything I ate was perfect. The catfish, the fries, the hush puppies, the salad, and the crème brûlée were absolutely delicious. If I could rate the food alone, it’s an easy five-star review. The service in the lounge area is a 1-2 star for sure; however, the hostess is amazing and super kind. This restaurant has too much potential to allow poorly trained staff to take away from the ambiance and the exceptional food. Rarely am I willing to return to a restaurant after experiencing poor service. In this case, the food is exceptionally good! I am willing to return, but I’ll sit in the dining area and provide an update.

Anjou was located next to my hotel so I decided to walk here for dinner on a Sunday evening. We arrived around 6pm and the restaurant was mostly empty but started getting busy by the time we left. There’s indoor and outdoor seating and we opted for indoor. Our server was really good and helped us navigate the menu. We couldn’t decide between the fried and buttered crab claws and ended up with half and half. Both were really good! However, we should have asked what the Market Price was because 30+ dollars was a bit much (our mistake lol). We both enjoyed the complimentary bread and had to exercise a lot of self control to prevent from requesting more. The Shrimp Linguini had really good flavor and was full of meat, but the sauce was too thin for my liking. The other guest had a Caesar Salad and order of Fried Oysters (both were good). We were planning to split the Strawberry Crepe for dessert but we got something different than advertised. The menu stated fresh strawberries, but we got a crepe filled with a strawberry sauce. I do not like strawberry sauce so unfortunately had to send it back.

I had dinner at Anjou for the first time with a party of 12. Our server Violet was funny, down to earth, and professional. She anticipated our needs and made great recommendations. We had reservations and were seated on time. Meal Items: Drink: The Anjou...unless you are a fan if raspberry, don't get this! I tried it along with another guest, and we made the same face at the same time, and we didn't have the normal oh this is good conversation after. More of a well I'll have to pay for it. Also not strong...just raspberry. Salad: Small ceaser. OMG delicious. Would return just for this. Entree: Citrus Chicken...not bad but not spectacular either. I would choose something else next time. Overall, it was a wonderful experience.

I had a salad that the bartender recommended. I substituted salmon for the tuna. The salad was colorful with beans, olives, bell peppers, and potato wedges. The salmon was cooked medium and very nicely prepared. The lemon vinaigrette dressing added just the right amount of flavor without taking away from the fish. Simply superb!! The environment was pleasant as well as the staff being very knowledgeable about the menu. I will be returning.

They serve good casual food in upscale atmospheres with a very small selection of actual French food. Overall happy to go there occasionally but the only downside is that a few of the waiters have thick southern accent and they slur all the words together quickly that I have no idea what they are saying. I have to rely on their main words/gestures to guess what they are saying and it is stressful not being able to understand them not enunciating because I don’t want to ask them to repeat and still not understand what they said.

6 of us had brunch here Jan 22. Food was very good. Several of us had omelets. They were pretty good.. Service was pretty good considering that our server had no help for the several tables he was taking care of. Good brunch cocktails. I did not give 5 stars for 2 reasons. I had a bacon and cheese omelet. I thought that some of the bacon pieces were under cooked. Also, I thought the portions were rather small. Overall, I would return.

I came here for my wife's birthday. The young man who served us was great. I wish I'd gotten his name, because he truly does deserve the recognition. We ordered several dishes which I will not attempt to spell and they were all very good. We had the snails as an appetizer, I had the lamb provencale and my wife ordered a burger. It was all very good but in my opinion it is slightly overpriced for what you get. It is an upscale restaurant as well, so I'd say you probably shouldn't bring young children. Overall the food was good and the atmosphere was great for a birthday dinner, it is a little overpriced though so look at the menu before you go and children may disrupt guests around you.

Had dinner, I think we caught them at a bad time. Service was really slow. Me and my hubby came in for dinner, hostess said the bar area we would be served quicker. Sat at the bar area, waited 20 minutes to have a server, took our drink order. Well my tea arrived in two minutes, hubby Jameson took another 20 minutes. At that time ordered the meat and cheese to start and ordered entrees. Well another 20 minutes, a manager came by and said they are cutting the cheese. Yes, I laughed. We about another 10 minutes we get it. It took another 30 minutes for the entrees. Food was really good, I ordered red fish, I think they substituted red fish for something else, tilapia I believe. I know red fish and that wasn't it. Yet it was very tasty. Hubby had the rib eye, delicious as well. We arrived at 6:45 and left 10 minutes to 9 pm. Water explains they had a huge party, and the kitchen got a little behind. That's about it.

The ambiance is great, service is great and mimosas are some of the best if not the best I've had. The disappointment is I didn't get much money for what it costs and I had some of the sautéed crab claws but when I ordered a second serving they were no where near as good as the first order. That was disappointing then my next visit they were just okay nothing special. A friend ordered I think it was a chicken cardon, it wasn't worth the cost and it was dry. Kind of remind us of a pastry. I would go back, I would go back however my primary reason would be the mimosas and customer service!

I came for a quick break from work. The drink was good. The food was “ok.” Not something I’ll be going back to.

Was very disappointed that I paid almost $50 for this. I think the fact it was dry, just thrown in there, and had no sauce with it toppled me over. There were only 2 shrimp, yes.

Don't know if we caught them on a bad night but I wasn't thrilled. The food was great although one scallop was not cooked thoroughly. The crawfish crepe, rack of lamb and filet were excellent. More bread should be served with the escargot to mop the garlic butter. Bar service was horrible. The drinks were good but took far too long to get to us. Only the company I was with made up for it.

R
Rachel Phương Lê

Food was just okay, nothing memorable. Charcuterie board taste like they got everything from Kroger and plated it. Pate was dense and dry, like a bad meatloaf, wasn't spreadable. Only thing I liked on that charcuterie plate was the jam and goat cheese. Crab omelette was light and delicious, but my french onion soup was a fail. They put two slices of bread in my soup which made it super soggy. French onion is usually topped with crunchy croutons, bread wasn't edible so I removed it from my bowl. Soup itself didn't have enough onions and isnt rich in flavor. We also got the steak and fries. Steak was cooked perfectly, but the butter sauce was too overpowering. Our fries came out cold and soggy. Overall experience and food was a 3 star.

The setting is nice. The service is attentive. The food was bland. App was the escargots. The herb butter was great and paired nicely with the bread. For entrees I had the sautéed chicken with mushroom creme and my wife, the crawfish crepe. The "sautéed" chicken was flavorless. The mushroom gravy was bland, the vegetable (brocoli) was very undercooked. Potatoes were unseasoned quarted and lacked flavor as well. Overall 5/10. Crawfish crepe was good. Nice spice on the sausage and the creme sauce was great. Brocoli was also undercooked. 7/10. Luckily everything is reasonably priced.

First time here as I am in town for work. I visited on 6/23/24 and was going to treat myself to birthday brunch. I ordered the Biloxi omelet, a mimosa and a cup of coffee. When I received the omelet, the middle still had runny whites and the shrimp were totally not cleaned (see picture). The server never asked me how anything was or even checked on me. She even came and asked me what I ordered because she didn't remember from the time I told her til she got to the computer. The food (what I could eat) was good and the atmosphere is great. My tab was a little over $30 and I left a nice tip even though the server was inattentive. My main issue was $18 for an omelet I couldn't even eat all of. For a higher end restaurant, I would expect the food to be properly prepared.

First time here, and we went for the murder mystery dinner, which was really fun and entertaining. The drinks were good, and so was the food, but portion size could be better, considering how much you pay. Service was okay. Would recommend if looking to try French food.

French southern restaurant. You can get the usual southern dishes and they also offer French cuisine Escargot is pretty good. Herbs and butter covering the escargot, can't go wrong with that. Everything else needs some more seasoning. I know French cruisine is not as salty and heavy like southern food, but a little more seasoning would be better. Hashbrown was just plain hashbrown, probably straight from a bag.

The place is beautiful and inviting. You will love the look. Although beyond that was not as impressive. The service was mediocre. Our waitress seemed to not want to be at work nor did she want to smile. I inquired about a specific dish and her recommendation. No description or rec was given. The food tasted processed. Belgium waffle was thin like an ego. The strawberry side was like jelly from a jar. Chicken dish was sus. The smells were off as if cooked with other food (fish).

Service was good, bar was great, onion soup was amazing. Unfortunately that is where the positive experience ended. Steak came out cold, underseasoned and tough, veggies cold, potatoes cold. I don't know if I will give it a second try for dinner but for a few drinks and a bowl of French onion soup this place is alright.

Jackson has a lot of really good restaurants. It can be hard to be consistently good but that's what's expected of an expensive highly rated restaurant. Generally Anjou is good to better than good but that is slipping. Had the ribeye tonight for $44. Could have just gone to Western Sizzling. It wasn't well cooked but that wasn't the real issue. They are buying low quality meat and trying to pass it off as something it never was. So disappointing. I was part of a group and the others had food that was enjoyable. Apparently the duck is good and the red fish is good. Their steaks are garbage.

We sat at the bar for dinner and found the place little loud, next time would sit in dining area. My first choice, mussels, were not available so went with the Brie Burger, if Brie is going to be in the name of the dish it should be a major component - one 1/4” slice is not. Other than that the burger was excellent. My husband had the crawfish crepe and thought it was very good. The zucchini beignets were the bomb! Getting service at the bar was hit or miss, no one came back to see how we like our food or asked if we wanted dessert, which we did but ended up skipping it because it took too long to get the bartender’s attention, and there were 2 of them. I had to lay my cc on the bar to indicate that we wanted our check. Not a great experience but the food was good enough to try again in the dining room.

Ambiance was perfect. Crab claws for our appetizer were perfect. 3 stars because were we initially scheduled for Saturday, February 11, but the restaurant itself confirmed our reservation and minutes later canceled it, stating that someone else had booked the same time. We were Rescheduled for Monday, February 13, arrived on time only to be told we didn’t have a reservation, however, we were able to be seated fairly quickly. Our server was ok, but maybe not the most efficient or up to par. We ordered a bottle of $130 champagne, luckily we’d had this champagne before and knew what to expect from the packaging, because the server brought out the wrong bottle of champagne. Food took a long time to come out, maybe because of kitchen staff shortage, not sure, but our sever seemed to be forgetful, as he after every entry came back to ask us to remind him again what we’d ordered. The table next to us spoke with a manager about the length of time it took them as well to receive their orders, and stated that the server had forgotten to put in the order, even though the manager said the kitchen dropped the plate and had to remake it. Fast forward, our redfish was super underwhelming to say the least, neither of us could finish it. We attribute it to a rush job in the kitchen as we were seated at 7:45 but didn’t receive our entrees until after 9…the restaurant closes at 9 so maybe a rush to close could have been the reason for the poorly made entrees. We asked to order dessert but our server told us what we wanted would take 20 minutes and suggested other quicker options, which we declined. $200 tab to still leave hungry. I would honestly go back for a simpler option such as brunch and the ambiance.

Food was amazing. I had the tuna, and my boyfriend had the steak frites. Every bite melted in your month. HOWEVER, for such a nice restaurant and for the price we paid, the staff could have been friendlier. The waitress that we had look like she did not want to be there (which is fair, customer service job does drain the soul. I get it). She was very short with her answers. She sounded very annoyed when we asked her questions. She checked up on us once, which is fine I guess, but we had to ask for water refills. At a normal restaurant, this wouldn’t bother me, but this restaurant is meant to be a fancy dining experience. Besides the food, this did not feel like a fancy dining experience. Hostess was also kinda short with us, but we didn’t really interact with her, so I can’t give a deeper review there. Sorry. I’ve had better dining experiences at $$ or $ restaurants.

I ordered the shrimp salad with remoulade dressing. I didn’t know the salad had dressing on it already when it came so I put the remoulade on the salad and began to stir it around. To my surprise the salad had dressing already on it, but it was under the leaves. The waitress could have told me about this before hand since I preferred the salad from looking at one someone else was eating and not from the menu. I guess the menu tells the customer that it comes with dressing already. Then I noticed that our waitress cleaned the table across from us and then came back to set it. Only thing I didn’t like was that the glasses that were laid out, looked like they had just came from the dishwasher. That’s right, they looked like they had just came out of the dishwasher or at worst, we’re just rinsed out in a sink. I for one would not drink anything from them again if that’s how they set a table with wet glasses. What else goes on in the kitchen if they cannot dry the dishes when they are finished being washed? Then there’s the service, I wasn’t waited on when I came in. Even though I arrived after the others in the party had already gotten their food and was eating. First, you would have thought the hostess would have let the waitress know there was another guest at the table. Then after a few minutes of being there, the waitress could have came by just to check on the others that were there. But no, one of the guests had to get her attention to come over and engage with me. What is this world coming to, when at a white linen restaurant, can’t dry their dishes before bringing them out to the table, or putting salad dressing on the side without smothering it in dressing if you don’t use much, and where the wait staff, hostess included doesn’t care that much for the customer to see if they are doing okay. That’s my opinion.

Looked great online. Great atmosphere. Good service. Great location. Burnt hashbrowns and burnt beignets. Even the server mentioned they were burnt-still served them. Will be a while before we try this spot again.

Got the muscles in white wine and cream. No depth of flavor. Boring. Bland. Very thick sauce, more of a gravy. The wine was subservient to the cream. The crème brûlée was serviceable. Serviceable is as high as I can rate the food. The service was very good. The atmosphere decent. All told it was a big “meh”.

Meh. I know the French know what salt is. Nothing was seasoned in my opinion. I was so excited to eat here. Lackluster at best. Our server was really nice though. The sweet tea was good too.

We came to Anjous again for our annual visit while visiting my MIL for Thanksgiving week. And while the atmosphere and food were very good, our server “Katherine” I believe her name is, was anything but welcoming and cordial. Honestly, she was boarder line ugly to me and the other guests in our party. As someone who put myself through graduate school working in upscale casual dining establishment, I was absolutely appalled by her lack of respect and receptiveness as we tried a “kill her with kindness” approach during the rest of our meal. I mean we never know what another person is going through right. Either way it didn’t work and she left a cold shoulder turned to all of us at the table. Definitely took away from our experience together while dining there, so unfortunate.

Nice atmosphere . . . food was lacking as was service We had a retirement lunch for a co-worker and took a group here with a room reserved. The server was attentive initially but that ended when the food arrived. I had the short rib which was the special for the day and after trying to cut the first bite, saw that the entire piece of "meat" was white, greasy fat. It was totally inedible and in fact one of my co-workers looked at it and asked what I had ordered. The server returned a few times to check on drinks yet never gave a plate that was untouched sitting with silverware to the side a second glance. In fact, when she cleared the table for desert she left my plate until I prompted her to take it. I had to tell her about the fat and her response was "Do you want me to get you another piece?" With the rest of the table eating desert, having another entree show up was not what I wanted. So the lunch for me consisted of bread, mac & cheese and a wilted salad. I will say that the rest of the people were satisfied with their entrees (although none raved about them) but what I had being inedible was an expensive disappointment (not expecting an adjustment to the bill but none was offered). Another restaurant that my wife and I will not be returning to which is unfortunate as finding a nice place to eat that offers CONSISTENT quality has been an elusive search since we moved to the area 2 years ago.

I have had better steak at Applebee's, the vegetables tasted like they came from a can. Ordered an appetizer, took 1 bite and they set my entree on the table. Didn't get any time at all to eat it. Absolutely not worth $130.

I hosted an event here in the small meeting room. Upon sending the contract I never heard back from the catering manager and had to go up to the venue to ensure she received it. I visited the restaurant the week before the shower to provide direction for setting up the room after I had called and left a message with one of the host but never heard back. The male manager I spoke with took notes and said everything was good to go for my event. I arrived to my event and the room was not set up, the female manager on duty was rude and told me the manager working during the week wasn’t in charge and she received no direction from her catering manager. The whole experience was really stressful, disorganized and disappointing. Thankfully I had several people with me and we set the room up ourselves. I have frequently visited this restaurant and hosted events here before but will not be back. The bright spot in the event was the wonderful server we had who managed the room alone and was extremely attentive!

I celebrated my birthday dinner for the first time at this restaurant. I must say our server was on point but we didn't enjoy the food it was horrible! Bad experience for my first time!

Table cloth ( NOT THE PAPER) had food on it. A lot. The green beans had to come out of a can, mashed potatoes and fish were cold when they reach table. Once is enough for me!! Amen the End.

The service was decent, which I appreciated. Unfortunately, the overpriced food didn’t quite live up to expectations. It was underwhelming and lacked flavor. Not to mention that it took way too long for it to come out of the kitchen. The atmosphere also felt a bit bland and uninspired.

Got a table with 7 ladies, Nellie took all our orders at 1130ish at the same time, everyone got food 1 hour later, except for me. I got up out of my seat to let hostess know, the waitress Nellie did not even care to go check on, hostess went to kitchen came back out, I hit back up again, I asked did they just forget, she looked at me and never said a word. The look was as if yes. Nellie brings burger out, thank goodness it was hot. Never once did she even care to say anything about being 1 hour 20 minutes in getting my lunch and was not busy at all. Unbelievable the attitude! Thank you for comping the meal. It’s been over 3 years since been there and probably another 3 years or so.

Really was excited to go to this restaurant. We made reservations. During this they had some computer issues and could not access reservations. The host was rude and we were not greeted. Once waiting for a while we finally got to sit down the glasses and silverware was dirty. After seeing this I knew we were not eating here. Would never go back. Would not recommend. (Feb2)

Just finished my sandwich from Newks eatery- after sitting for my meal at Anjou. I’m not a review writer. I’m a corporate traveler. Nearly every week, week to week. This note is for fellow travelers. Don’t waste your amex money here. The service was devoid of any warmth or personality. The food -mussels and french onion soup, I left mostly untouched. My bartender not noticing or asking how my meal was. The bistro salad was delicious. The bread was good. I was hungry and ordered a sandwich for pick up before I left. This restaurant is gigantic. The experience was … in a small way…disturbing.

This place is quite literally disgusting. One of the most awful tasting meals I have ever had in my life. I got the pasta and it was more like soup..very bland as well had to add salt and pepper at the table.

S

Service was horrible, the server didn’t introduce herself, she walked over, dropped the bread on the table and said “I’ll come back with water”. She seemed annoyed by being at work, our food came cold and we didn’t complain. We were not able to get the redfish because the restaurant had run out. I really think our experience could have been better if the sever was nicer. She was mean, cold and dry.
