I've been frequenting Trattoria Via Vai in Bolzone di Ripalta Cremasca for about 20 years, almost always for lunch on weekends. My father discovered it thanks to an article by Beppe Severgnini featuring the best tortelli from Crema, and it's remained a firm favourite ever since. In fact, it's even improved over the years. I love it because it's a refuge from the chaos of Milan: immersed in the countryside, with a bike path along the river for an after-lunch stroll. Easy parking, zero stress. The atmosphere is refined and welcoming, refined yet homey, between the dining room and a bright winter garden. The menu is streamlined: a few local dishes, fresh ingredients, authentic flavors with a touch of creativity. Portions are just right: you leave full and satisfied, without overindulging. The wine list is interesting even for discerning palates, with Italian and international labels (especially French). Stefano knows how to advise and guide: although I'm not a great expert, I've always had a great experience. This is my first review after many years of attending: I promised it, and here it is. Congratulations on the commitment and care you put into what you do. Highly recommended!

An excellent restaurant, with a wonderful atmosphere, friendly staff and chef, as well as a cozy terrace from which you can admire the greenery of the backyard. But still, the dishes play an important role in the restaurant, and here they also deserve praise, and a fairly large selection of wine. Every time we find ourselves in Crema, we always drop in here for dinner.

Amazing food and wine selection
Cozy atmosphere and particular food. I recommend to try asparagus risotto and pistachio sorbet. Polite personnel and beautiful garden left really good impression.
Super excellent
Very good food. I am not big fan of sweet stuff but I had to try "tortelli cremaschi". Great staff really competent and good prices. I will come back for sure. The restaurant is really closed to crema a nice town in Cremona province but closer to Milan

Without a doubt, I ate well, not ordinary, with just the right portions and no skimping on high-quality ingredients. You couldn't ask for more. There's no wine list, replaced by the owner, who makes expert recommendations but doesn't set prices. Not that I had any unpleasant surprises, but you're forced to trust them. Parking is limited, and uncivilized customers abuse the parking spaces for electric charging, saved from forced removal only by the lack of response from the local police.
Pleasant atmosphere with a small, pleasant garden. The architecture of the two trees is interesting. Food: Cremasco ravioli were very good. The sweet ravioli was perfect with butter and parmesan. The cotechino accompanied by polenta topped with cabbage mixed with parmesan was also good. Worth a visit.
The perfect setting for a nice, intimate dinner. The little garden indoors is especially nice, with blooming flowers and soft tones of yellow and pink. I think the food was really, really good; courses were a blend of summerish dishes with a look towards tradition and I really enjoyed this combination! Go on and give it a try!! Ps: not nearly as expensive as I would have imagined!
Located in a small village in the middle of the countryside Via Vai represent a very cozy surprise. The owner of the place welcome you with charme and the layout of the small restaurant makes you feel homie. The excellent wine offer follows an equal very high food menu. If you love this area recipes, Via Vai is a place to visit! Advanced booking Recommended
Really unprofessional manner, asked by phone if we will have a chance to be served, and that my family will take approximately 1h to reach the location. When arrived we had be informed that kitchen was closed. After 1h journey I could have be gone home and make food for my family. Really disappointed and the server was drinking away behind the cunter and find out it was the owner daughter.
