I've ordered breakfast at night from them in the past 2 weeks. 5 stars in my book. They pay attention to small details (like soft scrambled eggs). I know now why they have been there for so many years! Awesome! Also DON'T get 1 pecan waffle (get 2)! They are great!
Huge portions of home cooking with a giant helping of family feeling servi e
This is a wonderful local family restaurant. I wanted to call it a "greasy spoon" because the offerings are items you would find in that sort of restaurant, but the quality at The Beef House far surpasses what one would expect from a greasy spoon place. They have great quality food and the prices are very reasonable. The service was great, too!
This is definitely a Garland staple. It’s been here for over 70 years, and has been a tradition in my family. My grandmother worked as a waitress whenever it was called “Black Hawk Diner” and I’ve been coming here since I was a baby in the late 90s. While the owner has changed over the years, the food has not. My enchiladas were delicious, and the onion on top is *chefs kiss*. These enchiladas have been like this for at least 15-20 years. While I wouldn’t call them fully “authentic” Mexican enchiladas, they are very flavorful. Don’t expect to have authentic Mexican food at this purely American diner. Their Americanized Enchiladas and Tacos are always so good, and definitely hit the spot. The rice is good as well, and they make it with a hint of tomato juice or sauce. The beans are whole pinto beans, cooked perfectly as well. I love their chips, because they are like a thinner, white corn chip, my favorite. Their salsa is a nice mix of tomatoes and vegetables. While it’s not super chunky, it’s not watery either. Great for the dipper or scooper, and provides a nice fresh flavor with a slight spice that even the pickiest eaters can enjoy. My husbands catfish was fresh, super crispy and very flavorful. It also tasted very clean. What I mean by that is that some restaurants with catfish have kind of a dirt flavor, or dirty water flavor. Which is pretty typically common, due to where catfish come from. This fish didn’t have a dirty flavor at all, which made it much more enjoyable especially for the price. It was also all you can eat catfish day today (Friday) as well, that’s if you don’t get full first because you also receive hush puppies and a decent portion of two sides. Their salad is TO DIE for. I’ve always LOVED their salads because they give you plenty of veggies, including tomatoes and carrots. The cheddar cheese tops it off to make it over all delicious. If you’re a ranch fiend, they make an in house ranch that is so delicious, I purchase cups of it to go home with me. It doesn’t taste like your typical bottled ranch. I have not found any ranch better, even Wingstop’s. Our service was great, very attentive. We didn’t have to ask for refills, and each of us had maybe 2 or 3 glasses of water or tea. The lady was very nice. Prices are still very affordable, and are honestly equivalent or even a little less than fast food prices for better quality food. However, this is an OLD diner. It definitely looks like you’ve stepped in the 70s, and the booths are pretty worn. So don’t expect a “romantic” or “fancy restaurant”. It definitely screams “home grown” and “diner of the south”. However it’s clean, and there hasn’t been smoking for years at this point. Don’t let it’s looks fool you though, this is definitely a place worth trying if you love diner food with a country flare. There are daily specials as well for lunch and dinner. All are so worth the cost!
The Albert Special is delicious and can feed more than one person. Three of us ate on one of them and everyone got full. Great place to eat with friendly waitstaff. Look forward to going back soon.
Always the best experience !!! Owner is so sweet!
My husband and I have been coming here for years now, the food is good and everyone is so friendly. We love the breakfast here, especially the waffles. We definitely recommend this place to others.
The food is excellent! Ive come here to eat many times and the place has amazing food. The restaurant also allows smoking inside but besides that the decor is warming and the tv adds a nice touch to the experience. The restaurant also does self seating so its a great place to go with friends or group. I would recommend this place to anyone looking to eat by themselves or within a group. 10/10.
This is our favorite restaurant my kids always ask to go here. My wife and I love the catfish and pot roast. Our kids love the burgers and they have the best french fries in the world. If you haven't been here where have you been?
Don’t let the age and appearance of the building scare you away this place was delicious!! Staff was extremely friendly and helped make a relaxed and family type atmosphere. Nice big tv to watch while eating your meal. Food came out quick, made well in quality and taste and hot. Walked out with a full belly and smile. This is a good southern sit down restaurant. Glad I gave this place a chance. I’ll be back!
Best local Diner in Garland , that I have experienced. Super nice people great food! Southern hospitality ! ❤️
This place is excellent. Great food and great service.
This was my first time walking in since I was a teenager almost 50 years ago. Nothing has changed. The round corner booth is still there. I remember crawling under that table many times as a child. The food is still good and the prices are good too. My family and I all bought t shirts. It was very nice to sit at the exact same booth from my childhood.
Great Service from the waitress for my to go order. It was a great lunch from the dinner menu: A porkchop plate with pinto beans and mashed potatoes no gravy and an apple cobbler a la mode.. Although my cornbread didn't make it to the bag, I was very pleased with meal altogether. Thanks Beef House!!!
1. Menu is ample 2. The kitchen knows how to do it right. 3. Service is great. 4. Prices are good 5. Quiet because heads were facing their plates eating. 6. Lunch and dinner special's 7. This ❤️ place has been here 64 year's . 8. We were looking for a new place to eat dinner with two other friends, and came up with the Beef House. 9. Funny how one loses their memory, but all the numbers above 7 are from a review of 5 years ago 10. To start with this gives one hope the people still want a old fashion but totally a place you can let your blown away. Just sit back and enjoy the dinner. 11. Menu is still the same . Soup and pieces change daily. 12. The kitchens with the simple fact give people what looks like eating at Grandma's on Sunday, but it just might be Thursday. Not only does the food look good,it tastes amazing 🤩. 13. My friend order coconut cream pie. When a great woman who care of us came to the table and said the piece of pie was on the , because it was the last and it wasn't shaped how she like. 14 sorry for the length of review but if you don't go and try this place you are missing a great meal
Me and my family, my mom, my grandma, my great grandma have come here for many years now and it's always been the best. We don't come as often but when we do it's always the same and we always get breakfast which we love everytime! And the owner has always been nice and said hi! Will always recommend it!
My family been dining here for very long long time. Our church even uses there catering services. And it's always better than expected. This is the mom and pops diner that's one of the best in town. I know this place doesn't have fancy furniture or famous pictures on the walls. But the food is always good and portions are always plentiful.
This place is excellent I had the recommended everybody's extremely friendly The owner is awesome and he is extremely nice. They have daily lunch specials and dinner specials which are also excellent The chicken is off the chain the spaghetti is good the tacos are to die for the meatloaf is my favorite and I'm very picky about my meatloaf. Actually I haven't had one thing here that I do not love. Oh by the way the pancakes are huge and they're really good.
A hidden Jem, great prices all homemade food. The chicken is unreal, had a really great time. Kathy is a great waitress, we will be back. Look up the menu after 5 all you can eat. Bring your stomach. And the salsa was perfect.
The food is great. The service is great. The place has been around for a while and the quality has never wavered. The daily special is always tasty and a great value.
Thought I'd try this place because of all the good things I've heard. What a hidden gem this is!! The portions are HUGE, the prices a very reasonable and the service is excellent ( Tamer was our waitress). Highly recommend the Beef house for breakfast, lunch or diner.
I had a great experience with excellent service and friendly staff. I would definitely recommend this place and look forward to visiting again for the delicious food.
The Beef House is a Garland icon. You're not going to get fancy, you're not going to get gourmet. What you are going to get is good food at a great price and an atmosphere which is more like visiting a country relative or eating at your grandmother or great grandmother's house. If you are looking to get a large, well prepared meal at a good price, while visiting a restaurant that has been open continuously since 1955, you're looking for the Beef House.
I go every chance I get!! I love to take friends if they've never been. The food is always good and always fresh, but we definitely come back for the service!! The staff always make you feel like family and you're sitting down to your favorite meal at home. Love you guys!!!
This place is great! The area that its in you would maybe think differently, but I assure you this is the best" hole in "the wall family friendly back home kind of places that I love! I've been there twice and you can tell they have their regulars and they remembered us the next time we came in! While in there I feel like I'm at a small town Cafe instead of in the middle of Garland! And the food is great!
Very quality food and large portions and a low price. I hope they never increase their prices. This is now my go to restaurant using DoorDash.
if you are looking for a hole in the wall kind of hometown restaurant this is the place to go! Good food great service hands down one of the best in Garland!
GOOGLED FOR BREAKFAST NEAR MY SON WHO RECENTLY MOVED TO THE AREA. WE WERE VISITING FROM CALIF. REVIEWS WERE POSITIVE. LOOKING AT THE PLACE FROM THE OUTSIDE, WHY WOULD I EAT HERE? THE FOOD WAS GREAT! SERVICE WAS GREAT! HIGHLY RECCOMEND FOR ANYONE VISITING THE AREA. 5 STARS ALL AROUND.
Awesome fried catfish on Friday nights and you can pick your sides
We like Beef House ... we eat there once or twice a week most weeks. It is not a fancy restaurant, but the nightly specials are really good. They have really good breakfasts and salads too. This is a family-type restaurant where you know a lot of the other customers and the waitresses are your friends.
Always a good experience here. Food is delicious and I like coming for the all you can eat fish Friday at under $11 a person considering prices everywhere it's decent here. Update prices have gone up but no surprise it has everywhere, still a place to come. Tired all you can eat spaghetti Tuesdays omg 😳
This place is one of my favorite places. Every time we go, it never disappoints, the food is delicious and the perfect portion for me and I’m 6’2” 250 lbs.
It's old school Relaxed and just good food and people that make you feel at home ( And the prices are fantastic)
I love this place! I have been going here since I was 4 years old. They have the best chicken fried steak, the chef salad is amazing, the french fries are awesome and their breakfast is delicious. Pretty much anything you order is good. They also have some good chips and salsa.
Awesome place to have breakfast, lunch and dinner unlike any other place in garland this tops it off.
Came from northern Iowa for work training and wanted to try a mom and pop shop for lunch. Did not disappoint! Amazing food and wonderful people! Thank you for all of the hard work you put into this place and the welcoming atmosphere!
Been going here since I was 5 years a lot has changed since then but the food is still good
Nice, great food, and very friendly service! Food is good sized portions, great cost!
The service was 5 star, absolutely best. Owner and waitress truly care. The food was homemade greatness. And atmosphere of diner from better days. I highly recommend this place
The Beef House is the best little diner in Garland. We no longer live in Garland, but will go out of our way to go have breakfast there. The food is great and the portions are huge. You will not leave hungry.
The Beef House in Garland holds a very special place in my memories. I used to come here as a child with my parents throughout the 1970s, and I believe the last time I visited was sometime around 1981 or 1982. Recently, my wife and I decided to make the three-hour drive purely out of nostalgia, and I’m happy to say I was not disappointed. The food was excellent, the service was friendly and attentive, and the overall experience brought back a flood of great childhood memories. It’s rare to revisit a place after so many years and have it live up to — or even exceed — those memories, but The Beef House absolutely did. If and when we’re back in the area, we will definitely make it a point to visit again.
Don’t let the faded sign or dated decor fool you—this hole-in-the-wall spot delivers where it counts: the food. It’s cheap, no-frills, and absolutely delicious. The kind of place locals keep to themselves. If you care more about flavor than fancy lighting, this is your spot.
I love this place so much! It has been my favorite restaurant for years, and they still live up to everything I ever expected. The food is absolutely amazing, and the prices are very reasonable! I cannot wait to go back!!! Thank you for being so awesome Beef House!
Really wanted to try this place as I heard it was the oldest restaurant in Garland and has been around for about 70 years!!! I also can’t pass up an old vintage sign like the one they have…So my mom and I tried it out for the first time about two weeks ago and loved it!! Everything was great. There was an old school diner/cafe feel about it. Very relaxed. Our waitress was very sweet and helpful with anything we needed! And the food was awesome. My mom got the grilled hamburger steak and I had a breakfast sandwich. Both were delicious. We also had an amazing piece of chocolate pie. Yum! And how can you go wrong with that beautiful, retro, sign out front? 😍 Everything was great, we definitely recommend and will be back!!
Went there a few weeks ago and still craving what I ordered that day. I went with my dad and brother who got this steak platter it was decent, was expecting better but we still ate it! I had the bacon cheeseburger with fries and man it was good. Y’all definitely need to try. Staff was friendly
I LOVE this place! I haven't been here in over 6 years, and the owner remembered me!! Great food, great service, great prices!! Highly recommend. I had their pot roast lunch special on Monday, it was so delicious!! Melt in your mouth pot roast with carrots and potatoes, served with 2 sides of your choice, I had mashed potatoes and green beans, and also comes with banana pudding for dessert!! Everything was good and perfectly seasoned. & the banana pudding tastes homemade, not like the fake banana pudding made with whipped cream at most places. I will be returning soon. So if you're looking for a great, filling meal, because yes, their portion size is plenty to fill up even the heartiest of eaters... then I suggest you give it a try!! You will not be disappointed!! I hope whomever took the time to read my review, gives it a try, and I hope you have a great day! (& you will if you go eat here!)
Absolutely wonderful customer service, very welcoming service; warm atmosphere. Plenty of hot fresh food. Many choices to choose from to fill your heart. I recommend ordering at the restaurant and dine in if you have the time. Great prices. I had the breakfast 6oz Sirloin Steak, 2 Eggs, Side Choice:Grits, Bread Choice: Biscuits with Gravy.. (huge homestyle biscuits!) All for little money; no comparison with the homestyle flavor.
Don't let the parking lot or the outward appearances of this restaurant scare you off. It's been around for many decades and the interior has never been updated. Some of the booths are pretty worn but keeping costs down keep their prices down. Great quality food for a really low price. Have a lunch special everyday and and all you can eat dinner every night. We had the Sunday pot roast dinner; large portion of beef, potatoes, and carrots, plus two additional veggies of your choice AND banana pudding all for $10. It was so much food that both people in our party took leftovers home with them. Also, who else only charges $1 for drinks? I'll be going back again and again
We had fast, friendly service at peak lunchtime. My chicken fried chicken was delicious, as was my husband's cheeseburger. He certainly got a lot of fries! The crust stayed in the chicken fried chicken... I hate it when the crust slides off! The beans were good. Tasted like my mom's. The mac and cheese was good, I think it was maybe made with velveeta, but still was good comfort food. I like a good old fashioned diner and this is one of the best around.
Visited the Beef House yesterday for the first time in 40 years. Not much has changed, which is a great thing. So grateful these old diners still exist, and I hope people take time to visit after 77 years of serving. Some of the same specials are still on the menu. Service was fantastic! Food was equally as good. I’m definitely heading back soon for the Pot Roast, Enchiladas and Fried Catfish!
We were in mood for basic Texas food for dinner. We accidentally ran across Beef House American Food. It's only about 15 minutes from our house, but in a direction we don't normally go. The chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes, and green beans were what any good Texas diner would have been serving for the last 50 years. The special for the night on Sunday was the pot roast. The serving was large, the pot roast was tender, and the vegetables were good. The rolls were excellent--warm and yeasty. Certainly nothing fancy, but very good for the type of food it is. The only improvement on the food front would have been to have real butter instead of spread. The physical environment was comfortable as a diner, but a little bit dim. An update from florescent to modern LED lighting that was warmer and brighter would be an improvement. The staff were attentive and prompt. The restaurant is tucked away in the far corner of a shopping center building, and it was a bit difficult to find. Don't be put off by the outside appearance. When you want a break from fancy and expensive, I recommend you give it a try. We'll be back.
A classic slice of Americana at Garland, Texas's original Tex Mex diner. The Beef House - don't think it was ever a steakhouse - serves huge, tasty portions of pancakes and eggs, biscuits and gravy, blue plate specials and more. We ate breakfast and the waiter knew every customer by name and coffee preference (light? sweet?) A big platter of eggs, home fries, biscuits with a bowl of snowy white and salty gravy, plus crisp bacon filled me up for the whole day. Hubby got similar with a huge waffle and sausage patties. Lots of syrup and a butter mound in the middle. Friends Kelly and Mark went for sampler of stuffed jalapenos, onion rings, flautas and other Tex Mex nibbles .. Acceptable coffee and tea bags. Cute blue leather booths, faded country wallpaper and the best neon sign ever. A must-do at least one meal.
This place is excellent, I have not been here in 20+ years I still recommended everybody to try in when their in the area or bowling down the street. The owner is awesome and he is extremely nice. Today I just did breakfast 3 eggs, Sausage and hash browns with toast have. They offer a daily lunch special and dinner special through the week which are also excellent Actually I haven't had one thing here that I do not love. Oh by the way the pancakes are huge and they're really good. I was a late night customer in the past.
Service is great. Servers and management are always nice to my bf and me. They remembered us after the first time, which is pretty cool! Portions are phenomenal for the price, which I consider pretty low. Sometimes takes a little longer on food, but I think it just depends on what you order.
Ok, so I have gotten my food to go, and I have not been disappointed. Their grilled pork chops are my favorite, and they are delicious. Their sides are fantastic. Continued success to the Beef House.👍
Used to stop by here in my young days when I was in shape. Now not very much in shape. Likes to walk in and see the elderly folks get along here. Brings back memories of all the vacation resort fun moments I went through when I was visiting here .👀 We would do the roulette debit card here. :) Good times
It's a decent little Cafe with affordable prices and the waitress Shannon I believe her name is, is quite friendly and does her job well. Our food is always cooked correctly and served promptly. For those that enjoy the Cafe style dining it's perfect.
Food was great. What’s not to love with a bacon cheese burger and a great Cobb salad- both excellent. Service was fast and friendly. Lots of pool playing. 4 on atmosphere because of the smoke. I stink but the belly’s so happy. Forgot to take photos but imagine a hole in the wall bar with 20 or so pool tables. Diverse friendly crowd.
I had an overall positive meal at the Beef House. The service was great and Yadi had a great disposition despite having to deal with terrible jokes from the rest of my party. My only real negative is that I didn't get the catfish because the few bites I tried were phenomenal. The dining room is a little cramped and the bathroom could be cleaned more frequently but overall I enjoyed myself
We go there for breakfast or brunch. The breakfast is always pretty good if you can get a fresh biscuit.. Those booth seats have needed replacing for many years sitting on torn vinyl with the spring of your butt is not fun. The service is consistently good.
Service was excellent. The food was about the highest quality that texas diner food gets. If that would be a nostalgic experience for you, this food might be a five. If you aren't even sure what that means, the food is still a solid four. The atmosphere is clean but a little rundown. Might be a little off-putting for some but hang in there. The food is good, well priced and the staff are great.
It's a great place. But I really think it needs the walls redone they are stained in nicotine from when they use to smoke in there. But I love the place. Just an suggestion.
We had the roast beef sandwich and catfish. Both were great! Service was good. Old diner vibe.
A nostalgic point. Since 1974 was.our breakfast for the champions. My Nanny and I we lived about 1/4 of a mile from here. House is still the mother ship. The food is SO SO MUCH BETTER prepared now in the 21st century with new ownership...HowDone!! Loved it first time i have been back in 20 years
This place is a dive, like an old diner.. It's been here for 75 years and kinda looks like it. BUT the hamburger with fries and the fried fish with coleslaw and fries were great!! What the restaurant does not have in style, makes up for with food. Generous amount of food 😋 And the cost was very fair, better than most places.
Little hole in the wall diner that stays open 24-7! Just moved to Garland and went looking for a night dinner! The waitress was very nice and was on point! The pricing was fair! It needed a real deep clean and at least the walls washed! Needed more heat in that place! The Chicken Fried Chicken was not at all what I was hoping for! Turned out to be 2 little chicken pieces! The Coconut Cream Pie tasted like regular ole pie! That being said! If you want Real mashed potatoes like your grandma use to make! This is the place! For that reason alone We will be back!
It's a reliable place for a filling meal at a good price. I perceive that there are "regular" customers. It's old, but the tableware was clean. The personable waitress maintained my tea tumbler, and I particularly enjoyed the scrambled eggs. My wife doesn't recommend the washroom, though.
I had the chicken fried steak here with mashed potatoes. You can tell that the steak is store bought and was average. The potatoes were the most disappointing part. It was like cafeteria potatoes. Service was fine and seemed to have a good crowd of regulars. Maybe will need to try one of their house made meals.
Visited yesterday. I was really looking forward to my visit since I had friend telling me about this place for years. Took my family for dinner last night. Coming from a long time service industry worker, or serve was a little quirky, but that doesn't bother me. I asked for a refill on my chips and our server said, " I hate all the running around I'm having to do." I am intentionally low maintenance when dining out because I know the business and how difficult some people can be. Not sure if this was directed at us, but I still couldn't believe she said it. It was not very busy, which made it seem worse on her. I got the all you can eat taco special. Got two on my plate and never got any more, even though I did ask for more. Prices were reasonable, food was good. Wife got a steak and the flavor was good. I enjoy the old diner feel and authenticity. Gentleman that seemed to be the manager, checked on us a couple of times. Don't base your going or not on this. Maybe our server was just having an off day. It's worth trying out.
This joint was probably great 30 years ago. Place is old...not in a cool old-school way. It needs a major face-lift! The food is mediocre at best. Not the freshest ingredients. The wait staff seemed to stop caring years ago regarding customer service. I don't understand the great reviews, unless people are just being nice. There are way better dinners in DFW.
Fried mushrooms seemed burnt and were too hard, so I cracked each one open to eat the mushroom inside instead. The chocolate milk was regular milk mixed with chocolate syrup. 😐 Service seemed a little slow. I was hoping to be in and out in under 30 minutes. I ended up getting more food up the street at a different restaurant after being dissatisfied by this meal. I don’t plan on returning. 😅
The restaurant is not as sanitary as it should be. The food is ok, but why are the employees grabbing bread and chips with their bare hands? And why is the owner so rude and supposedly pocketing tips specifically left for the servers?
The waitress (older lady) was attentive enough and gave us our space. She made sure that we had everything we needed. The coffee and hot chocolate was watered down. I would not recommend. I will try the all you can eat special next time. The all you can eat specials are daily with different food items. We ordered the steak and eggs with the choice of grits or hash browns; new york strip, t-bone, or ribeye steak; two biscuits and gravy or toast; two eggs your way.The steak comes frozen but it tasted okay and was cooked as request by me and my friend. The eggs were bland but cooked as requested with no complaints and easily fixed with salt. The biscuit and gravy wasn't the best. I didn't like the country gravy; it lacked flavor almost like instant gravy mix. The biscuits were the standard frozen biscuits. It tasted decent. The hash browns were decent and cooked nicely. It needed a little salt. The grits were overcooked and waterlogged. Beware older people dine in and the smell was unbearable of some customers which caused me to not finish my meal.
This was my first visit the Beef House Restaurant and probably my last my order was Chicken fried chicken breakfast was frozen chicken breast with no bones and no flavor it was served with hash browns you can get home fries upon request, also a slice of tomato, or grits from 6am to 2pm and toast or biscuit and gravy My drinks was coffee and water The service was good The atmosphere was very quiet
Well we come here about 4 times a month and its always good and satisfying. Huge portions! Everybody is nice and attentive. Ok in the last year we have seen service get slower and slower but the main reason for this update is the owner of the restaurant. While the food and value is good the owner is severely lacking in customer service, employee training and just basic fundamentals of dealing with the public. We only have had to deal with his Kurt rude person a few times but tonight was the final straw. I even overlooked his grunt when I said thank you while paying for dinner. Upon leaving he comes to me and my wife and scolds us for using up to many cups for our take home. We didn't ask for the cups it's what the nice waitress brought us. After telling him this he continues to scold us about the cups! I was amazed that this was happening. Well we told him he should communicate his policy with his employees and not paying customers who tip generously. Upon letting him know we wouldn't be back he said good or some kind of mumble to us. We will go elsewhere as there are many restaurants who appreciate their customers and the money we spend with he them. Anyway if you eat here good luck and be aware of Mr. Customer Service and don't be caught taking out 4 small Styrofoam take home cups! I got to laugh at how this even became a issue. I guess Mr. C.S. had a bad day and took it out on us.
I'm heartbroken been going here 50 yrs but never again. Waited 45 minutes with no food and no tea refills while watching people come in after us get there food in 10 minutes. Owner was very rude and yelled at us when we told him. I'll never give this place another penny of my money. Then was almost assaulted in the parking lot by a customer. Good luck with the health department.
I came there for years. I was treated like my business is not wanted and will not be back
I wouldn't know how the food was because I had to throw it away. My friend specifically ordered roast beef to go for me without gravy and when she saw them take out a ladle and ladle something, she specifically reminded them not to put gravy on my roast beef. The gal assured her it was not gravy but spaghetti for someone else. When my friend brought my food to me, there was gravy all over it. When I called to discuss this with them, the employee said she asked for no gravy too late. That was absolutely untrue since she had previously voiced her concern and then as I was talking to her, some guy got on the phone and when I mentioned the voice changed because I was speaking to a female, he said "I'm the man", No introduction, nothing. He was One of the rudest people I've ever met in the restaurant industry. If someone has a dietary restriction and cannot have gravy, whether my friend had asked for no gravy too late (she didn't) or not SHE SHOULD HAVE BEEN ADVISED THERE WAS GRAVY ON THE FOOD. That was a worthless meal in the trash and as a first-time and potential future customer, I will never, ever recommend this restaurant to anyone for the way I was treated by that rude, condescending excuse of "the man" who kept talking over me telling me his employee was right (he was not out there at the time, so she-said-she-said) and refused to listen to me. I had to hang up because he would not let me speak.Bad investment of $17.84.
This place is gross The edge of the meatloaf was rock hard and not edible The meat tasted like what I think canned dog food would taste like what looked like sautéed tomatoes on top had no color left never had meatloaf with sautéed tomatoes on top and I’m open to try new things, but I think I’ll stick with tomato paste or ketchup or the other southern way with just brown gravy The potatoes were 100% instant potatoes You walk in and it feels like someone has murdered in there
Husband and I wend and the service sucks … waitress never even came to ask us we wanted a refill on our tea …. I ordered fried jalapeños with my burger and the never bought them out … not to mention we were checking out and not sure if the guy was the owner or not but I told him to take off the jalapeños because I never got them.. he told the waitress and she gave him nothing but attitude… very unprofessional never again
We been coming here for many years and today we came and were treated horribly. From not being welcomed in, not being attended through out the whole time we had to wave over a different server because ours was constantly on the phone and eating. Her name is Abby according to the restaurant owner. We found a black hair in our food and when we told her she gave us a sarcastic reply saying “no one has hair back there”, then proceeded to stand there giving us a snarky look. She was very rude, no hospitality at all from her (our server Abby). Would not recommend.
