What a lovely Sunday lunch. We had the three course which was a challenge. The food was very nice, the staff were very freindly at a bargain price. Well underestimate resterant. Will return. Plus you can have your pet with you on the sun terrace.
This is a wonderful find. Unashamedly a British themed restaurant serving dishes like Fish and Chips, all the things you’d get in an English chip shop. Sunday roasts are another specialty with Yorkshire puddings that are on a whole other level. We even saw Spanish families eating there, and everyone knows how the Spanish people see food. That’s a good seal of approval for sure. They get busy, another good sign, and the staff cope well with the pressure. Definitely worth a visit, especially if (like me) you get the odd craving for a proper plate of fish n chips.
My wife and myself came here for a late lunch this afternoon around 3pm. It was easy enough to get a table I side or outside. We sat outside in the warm winter sun. For starters we both had the garlic mushrooms and it was very good and a very generous portion. For our mains, my wife had the lasagne and I had the mixed grill. Both main meals were very good and again with generous portions, although my wife struggled to finish hers. Would definitely visit again before we head back to the UK.
Probably the most well-known restaurant in Ciudad Quesada, and deservedly so. The finest fish and chips you'll find in the country, with an extensive menu that includes all your traditional British favourites. The venue is exceptionally popular, so book a table during peak lunch and dinner times, and be prepared to wait a little while for your food. It's worth the wait!
As part of my tour reviewing eight chip shops along the Costa Blanca for The Chippy Tour, Quesada Fish and Chips was one I had been particularly keen to visit. I’d heard plenty of positive things beforehand, and with my wife and I considering this area for our retirement, I was eager to see if it lived up to the reputation. I’m pleased to say, it most certainly did. Parking was straightforward, with ample spaces available nearby. The restaurant itself is large and welcoming, offering a choice of covered outdoor seating as well as comfortable indoor tables. It was spotlessly clean and immaculately kept, and the staff were warm, attentive, and professionally presented. The menu was both extensive and varied, catering for traditional chippy lovers while also offering some creative alternatives. I opted for the haddock, which arrived thick-cut and generous in size, encased in a beautifully light and crispy batter. The fish had a slightly sweet note and an aroma that spoke to its freshness. The chips were just as I like them—plump, lightly golden, and with that perfect balance of firmness and soft, squashable texture inside. The curry sauce deserves special mention: sweet but not cloying, with a gentle complexity that added depth. The mushy peas were textbook perfection—thick enough to support a fork, with a clean, subtle flavour that complemented the meal without overpowering it. Portions across the board were excellent. The coconut fish curry was a real standout. It featured a variety of seafood, including large, succulent prawns and hearty chunks of fish, all bathed in a mildly spiced, creamy sauce with a hint of sweetness and a gentle kick. The rice was cooked to perfection—light, fluffy, and a great partner to the dish. It was also a pleasure to see Saveloys featured on the menu—always a welcome addition for the traditionalists among us. All in all, Quesada Fish and Chips is a top-tier fish-and-chip shop and restaurant, and I look forward to a return visit. My first trip here. Obviously very popular with queues to get in, so be sure to book. Very large in capacity. Not enough staff to really efficiently work the amount of tables (got a few things wrong with orders, but can understand with having to run around serving so many tables) food was very generous in portion size, and extremely well priced. Sunday roast was massive, I actually couldn't finish it all. Which is rare. The nut roast was delicious and the seafood combo platter too. Only comment is please employ more staff to support the lovely ones you have running around. They are all friendly, but overworked
Love the choice of food here, Not had a bad meal yet. The homemade steak pies are great. Staff speak English which is good as my Spanish is not great. Good prices too. The place is very large and sometimes lacks atmosphere though, seems more like a school canteen when its full.
Food was superb. Went on a Sunday and staff didn't seem to have a system to properly serve each area of the restaurant. Seated quickly. Drink order and food order prompt. Then struggled to get another drink. Murder trying to get a pudding order. Same getting the bill. Wanted to pay by card and ended up paying at takeaway area after waiting 10 minutes for someone to appear with card machine. Reduced tip because of this. Food and value was excellent so hopefully next non Sunday visit will be a bit smoother. €60
These guys know fish and chips, not surprising as they came from Essex many years ago. Proper authentic cooking from these guys, mushy peas, bread and butter all you might expect at home. A good selection of wines and beers also spirits if you like. Friendly staff and great service, highly recommend. Please note the restaurant isn't signposted and has no signage on the front of the building. This truly is a hidden gem if you can find it.
We moved to the area 6 months ago and this restaurant is a great find! We have visited three times so far - the fish & chips is amazing, and this evening Sunday roast, which was as good as home cooked! Everything is freshly cooked and plentiful, you will not leave feeling hungry and excellent prices to top it all😀Can highly recommend!!
Update: Came back for a Sunday roast turkey plate, and it was delicious. Service always excellent. Sat by the Christmas tree which boost my spirit. Lovely time, thanks. So sorry to have to say this, but today's meal was below par with over cooked and reheated fish and chips as well as the Sunday roast beef dinner. The batter on the fish didn't seem the same and the fish was dry and tasteless. Husband left all of his roast beef on his plate, said it was off, the veg as well. We don't live near and travel to eat here often. Hopefully it was a one off, would hate to see the quality go down. Usually would be a 5 star meal. The waitress was a sweetheart, did everything she could to help remedy the situation.
What a delightful place to have fish and chips like home in the UK. Large fish and chips €12.50 excellent value for money good quality food and very tasty. I had 2 sausage in batter and chips only €6.50 but just like Uk if not better. Service was very good and a friendly atmosphere. Only negative was the bread roll was a little dry. Definitely recommend for excellent cod and chips. Thank you for the great service.
Great place with lots of space for everyone but it is popular so book ahead! You can definitely see that the 3 generations is not a lie as the fish and chips are delicious. For something different, the burgers are super tasty as well. Highly recommend, a must do for all your chippy needs!
My favourite English chip shop that serves excellent fish and chips with traditional accompaniments like mushy peas and curry sauce. The orders are prepared upon order and served piping hot. The batter of the fish is crispy, the fish fresh and flaky. Eat the fish with a squeeze of lemon or a splash of malt vinegar. The chips are fluffy inside and they go well dipped in curry sauce They also have an extensive menu of traditional favourites like Sunday roasts with Yorkshire pudding, Liver and Bacon with mashed potatoes and all-day English breakfasts and more. Portions here are generous. The staff are friendly and attentive. Service is quick even when the place is busy. Highly recommended.
Lovely food, loads of choice, Staff were very friendly, great atmosphere. Can highly recommend a visit to this restaurant

Beautiful meal quality fish and chips highly recommend but during holiday period go early to avoid the busy times if possible . However the waitresses work tirelessly to get you served.
I went for the traditional breakfast while my wife chose the veggie option. Both were perfectly cooked, made with fresh, good-quality ingredients, and served in generous portions — an amazing value…
I have tried a few fish and chip shops in the area but always come back to Quesada fish and chips. They give hearty portions and taste the best! You won’t be disappointed if you give them a try.
Decent breakfast , would be our go to place when we visit , only negative would be sometimes was too busy for the amount of staff on which can be annoying, if your in a hurry , but if we’re in a hu…
Good service Excellent food Good value Clean Nice at atmosphere What else??? I would not go anywhere else - we come 2 or 3 times a year to visit friends and this is always our MUST visit
Food generally of decent quality. Nice busy environment. Extensive menu very competitive prices. Excellent value. Service was fair but not attentive. Waitress had to be called at every request and menu enquiries were met with a straight No! Overall enjoyed the meal and would go again but was disappointed by the waitress. They were obviously working hard but prioritising clearing and setting up tables over tending to customers needs doesn’t make great service.
This is our go to place after checking out whilst waiting to leave for the airport, it’s open 10am - 10pm so it always works for us on the last day . The menu is varied and not just fish and chips,…
Popped in for quick breakfast on way home, ended up being there for nearly 2 hours. Took ages to place order and even longer for food to come out. The food was ok apart from cheap sausages.
Super friendly staff . It’s simple food but cheap and convenient , not sure if we would eat in again but would use for takeaway .
72€ 5 personas a mediodía, 5 bebidas, 5 Sunday dinner (especialidad fish & chips) 2 postres, servicio cansado.
Food was very good unfortunately the lack.of service was unbelievable I had a starter then waiting 20 minutes for mains i had to get the attention of the staff to order the mains otherwise no one would of come back ....after that another 20 mins ..waiting for deserts again managed to get the staffs attention told someone will be over to take my order another 25 mins waiting i gave up went to the counter to pay my bill back to the table to get my jacket then surprise surprise someone finally shows up asking what deserts do I want??? Unbelievable
Been looking for the best fish & chips in the area and several recommended this place so I had to try it out. The place is huge but was completely full inside when I arrived 19:00 so got a place outside. Was quickly asked what drinks I wanted and I ordered a pint of beer 🍺 Then I waited a long time before it arrived and was thinking oh no one of these places where you get the food when you are finished your your drink instead of enjoying it together. Told the waiter I was ready to order my food but no she only delivered the beer, what? So she had to go tell another waiter I was ready to order. I asked the difference in the cod and haddock it she replied she didn’t eat fish so she couldn’t tell🤷🏼♂️ okay I ordered a large cod but was told it was sold out. Already at 19? Okay a medium size it is then. Had been texting the owner if they provided the known tartar sauce as this is traditionally and for me that thing that makes the meal complete flavor wise. The waiter said it would be on the table together with the food and not something I needed to order. Less than 5min later my fish & chips arrived wow so fast considering an almost full restaurant. Had no cutlery so she went to get that. Then I asked where is the tartar sauce oh sorry I’ll go get that as well. To my surprise it was those small bags you also get ketchup, mayo etc in😱 Why on earth is a restaurant that has fish & chips as a name and the most popular item on the menu not making their own??? Tartar sauce should have cause be homemade. The chips had no salt it them and the fish that was very decent in size even if it was just the medium was battered it again no flavor at all. I’m pretty sure no seasoning was used at all. The fish itself was fresh and tasteful so such a shame it overall was so plain.
Ordered a takeaway today ...just a fish (cod) as I prefer to make my own chips ......cost was 9 euros.....when I was handed the bag I did think god that feels light ......on opening at home couldn't…
