Mi sono fermata per caso per godermi uno spritz in piazza Navona, e sono rimasta piacevolmente stupita. Un grazie particolare va ai camerieri Alice e Antonio per la loro simpatia e particolare gentilezza, cosa non scontata nell’ambito della ristorazione ormai

Siamo stati in questo locale e abbiamo avuto una conferma straordinaria della serietà e della professionalità del proprietario. Eravamo anche in un gruppo piuttosto numeroso, e mentre mangiavamo all’aperto ,situazione in cui può capitare davvero a chiunque di ritrovarsi un piccolo insetto nel piatto, nulla di sorprendente: un nostro amico ha avuto questo piccolo inconveniente. La reazione del proprietario è stata impeccabile: si è scusato con grande cortesia e, con un gesto di attenzione che raramente si vede, ha offerto la colazione a tutti noi, nonostante fossimo in tanti. Un atto di estrema gentilezza che dimostra quanto tenga ai clienti e alla qualità del servizio. Locale consigliatissimo: ottimo cibo, atmosfera piacevole e soprattutto una gestione che fa davvero la differenza. Torneremo sicuramente!

Un aperitivo a Piazza Navona, atmosfera e vista romantica ed elegante…. Cocktail creati con grande attenzione ed humus con focaccia ottimi… sapori equilibrati e pizza croccante e sapientemente cotta a puntino. Da ritornarci

Appena finito di cenare, i piatti della tradizione erano perfetti e cremosi, personalmente ho provato anche un secondo curato nei dettagli,perfetta combinazione di gusti e consistenze con una presentazione gourmet, servizio veloce . Il nostro cameriere,Salvatore, é stato attento, preciso e simpatico. Consigliatissimo!

Abbiamo ordinato una Gricia e due Carbonara ed una porzione di polpette al sugo. Tutto molto gustoso e spesso a Roma mi è capitato di mangiare Molto salato. Qui invece, tutto davvero ottimo . Ambiente carino all’esterno, in piena piazza Navona. Suggerirei di ristrutturare l’interno

A special mention goes to Alexandria, who was an outstanding waitress. She was welcoming, attentive, and made sure everything was perfect throughout our visit. We had four for breakfast and got there right when it opened! Our son enjoyed a waffle topped with fresh fruit and a hot chocolate. He said it was the best he’s ever had. One of us enjoyed hot tea and a croissant. The tea was loose leaf and served in a single serve cast iron pot. Two of us had the homemade pastrami sandwiches and espresso. Delicious! We had a great experience.

The salmon pasta was delicious — creamy, well-seasoned, and the salmon pieces were generous. My mojito was refreshing and not too sweet. Service was friendly, and the atmosphere felt cozy. A great stop in Rome!

Alice was wonderful. Excellent service. Amazing food. CACIO È PEPE WAS AMAZING. My son tells me the burger bun was too soft. Considering this in a heavy tourist area it was really relaxing and staff were amazing. 10 out of 10. Easy meal for a family of 4.

We had a lovely meal at this restaurant on Piazza Navona! The Caesar salad and the tomato meatballs were both delicious — fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. Camillo was such a great find! 🥂 The bruschetta with mortadella and burrata was honestly the best thing I’ve had in a long time — so tasty and fluffy. The carbonara is absolutely top-notch, exactly how it should be. On top of the amazing food, the waiters make the whole experience even better — they’re so fun and add to the great vibe of the place. Definitely recommend!

We had a pleasure to dine at Camillo on our last night in Rome. We chose Camillo based on a great location and atmosphere at the piazza. We were served by Alice, a lovely young lady who made sure we were happy guests. After ordering the drinks and the food, we could enjoy the piazza atmosphere watching people passing by, local artists stalls and musicians. The food was served promptly considering a busy evening, and it was very delicious. Definitely to recommend if you're looking for authentic local cuisine. The cannelloni (lamb) was full of flavour and well balanced with pomegranate seeds and chickpeas. The tagliatelle (beef and pork) was nice too! Great selection of wines and beers, gin & tonic, drinks and mocktails. Same for starters. Some dishes are vegetarian and labelled in the menu. Staff were very helpful, accommodating and friendly. They speak English. The atmosphere of the place is great, if you like the piazza business and great food, this is the place to stop by.

This restaurant is a must do. The food is delicious and the atmosphere is exceptional. We were here in the evening and the lights and the live music from a street performer made this the best night, especially since it was our last night in Italy. Our server, Alice, was perfect! She was attentive, helpful when discussing dishes and very kind. We would specifically ask for her if we could eat here again.

Right outside the fountain with outdoor seating, so the location is beautiful!! It’s a touristy area, so may not be the absolute best restaurant in town, but it was very good, authentic, with a great view and outdoor seating. Service was fantastic-whether Italian or English speaking. We stopped in at 9:25pm, and the service was still wonderful and welcoming! I recommend!!

Full disclosure, any time you dine at a place in a major touristy area you should expect that it can be a tourist trap. I was fully aware that dining in Piazza Navona would automatically assign such a label to our meal. I'm a tourist. Whatever. That being said, we had a wonderful meal here at Camillo a Piazza Navona. This is probably the best meal you can find in Piazza Navona. It's certainly the best rated restaurant in the square (I checked). The ambiance can't be beat. Sitting outside in one of the most famous squares in Rome is a dream of many. The food is actually really good. We had calamari, focaccia with ricotta, olives and tomatoes, and caprese salad. Everything was tasty! Our entire group of four veered away from Roman classics for dinner and opted for the bolognese. I'm perfectly aware that you "shouldn't order" other regional dishes but we were in the mood and quite frankly it was delicious! A couple folks in our group had limoncello spritzes and said they really loved them here (more than another restaurant we tried later in the week). I had a hugo spritz and honestly it was my least favorite. It was way too heavy on the lime and I couldn't even taste the elderflower. Aside from my subpar cocktail, the rest of the meal was very satisfying. If you want to enjoy a VERY GOOD meal sitting outside in Piazza Navona, this is the spot to go to.

Nice spot right at the heart of the Piazza Navona to enjoy the view and vibe of Rome. The Pasta Salmone was good, the Lasagna was a bit mild in taste. Dessert was way overpriced (€12 for a small tiramisu and €9 for gelato). Try not to get a spot in the front row unless you are fine with the street vendors…

The staff has been very attentive, food was great, view of a beautiful fountain, the man helping us was so nice and explained things to us. It was a rainy day today, but we stayed dry, would come again, portations were large and they played American music which was what drew us in

Service was a bit slow (no problems with service behaviour). Food made up for it though. Really questioning why soft drinks are 6€ here, was questioning myself if this was a tourist trap. Food was somewhat worth it but I felt it was a little bit overpriced for what it’s worth. Additional note that I do still recommend you go here compared to the other 2 tourist traps to the left of it.

Posto assolutamente da evitare, soprattutto considerando che si trova in Piazza Navona, una delle piazze più belle e importanti di Roma. Il locale Camillo è esempio di come si sfrutti la posizione per spennare i turisti senza offrire nulla in cambio. Prezzi dei drink vergognosi, completamente fuori da ogni logica e senza la minima giustificazione in termini di qualità o servizio. Ma il peggio arriva con il cosiddetto “tagliere”: 6,50 € extra per un taglierino ridicolo con due olive in croce, qualche nuvoletta di drago e due robine che ovunque vengono servite gratuitamente come accompagnamento. Siamo seri: a Milano (e sottolineo Milano, non un paesino qualsiasi) si pagano meno i drink e sono inclusi taglieri veri, piatti completi, cibo migliore e servizio più dignitoso. Qui invece si paga tutto, tanto, e per non avere praticamente niente. Un locale che punta solo sulla location, senza rispetto per il cliente. Esperienza deludente sotto ogni punto di vista. Roma merita molto, molto di meglio.

The place has a pleasant location and the service was correct, however the gastronomic experience did not meet our expectations. The food we ordered had nothing particularly remarkable and, in particular, the cannelloni were too dry. The white sauce that accompanied them was quite basic and did not bring flavour or creaminess to the dish. We expected something more careful in terms of flavour and texture, especially considering the restaurant’s proposal. We believe that with some adjustments in the preparation and sauces, the dishes could improve significantly. We hope that this comment is taken constructively and that the quality of the food can evolve, since the place has potential.

The staff is so rude and borderline aggressive when it comes to getting you to tip more and they’re also likely to overcharge if you don’t ask to see the bill before paying. I’m not sure how they get all the good reviews with this kind of attitude. I don’t mind paying higher prices for my meals and I understand good workers are hard to find but pressuring customers to tip more and then trying to charge them more instead is just terrible. Stay away from this restaurant.

The food was authentic, that’s a fact. However, the overall experience was disappointing. The wine was served in dirty glasses. My husband’s Pinot Grigio tasted fine, but mine was noticeably different and seemed stale. We ordered two glasses so I think they just poured a different kind of white wine in mine. I read other reviews about the service, and unfortunately those concerns are justified. The staff were dismissive and, at times, openly rude. They made crude remarks about our appearance and were noticeably unfriendly toward us, while being perfectly polite and warm with the Spanish-speaking table next to us. We’re American, we speak English, and I’m not gonna apologise to anyone for that. We were overcharged, never provided with a bill, and generally made to feel unwelcome. This had nothing to do with tipping or how much we spent; it was clear the issue was personal and based on how we were perceived. It’s a shame, because the food itself is good by Piazza Navona standards, but the service seriously undermines the experience. I don’t understand how they get the good reviews but definitely not coming back and wouldn’t recommend to anyone.
