Getting in was tricky.
With the suspension of the Green Pass, I had to take a swab in the 'Drive In' facility set up in the car park opposite.
On foot, after parking the car, I found I had to queue as a pedestrian with the cars. An absurd thing!
Let's start with positive aspects of the structure (I used the 'textile free' one, which is why I don't have any particularly useful photos): huge spaces, skilfully and furnished built, an engaging atmosphere, saunas, hammams and relaxation rooms truly amazing!
Truly a unique, enchanting place!
Noteworthy are the foot-in-water sauna, the (light) rose sauna and the 'Bella Vista' sauna.
Staff are really friendly and try to make you feel comfortable.
BUT ... everything is only in German and ... questionable handling of 'water' element.
GERMAN:
1. Website is in German only
2. Information and directions inside the complex are ONLY in German
3. Menu inside the Casablanca restaurant (the only one I tried: it's very good food but a bit expensive!) has a really rough translation in English
4. Staff speaks little and bad English. Unbelievable for such a place!

WATER
1. There are no drinking fountains in the entire facility: you have to buy water ... in expensive plastic bottles (2.50€ 1/2 litre): unbelievable in a place like this, in Germany in 2022.
2. Large outdoor pools have a low temperature (27-28 degrees) and do not allow optimal use in winter. As a result, people flock to the adjacent mini-pools heated to 38 degrees, or to the saunas and hammams, leaving the large ones empty. Thus, despite the large spaces, it is often impossible to enjoy peace and quiet or to participate in a ceremony during the saunas.
3. Another questionable element is the very few showers in changing rooms. 
Last but not least, there are people who enter the hammam with towels and no one from the staff intervenes.

The Mediterana used to be the nicest sauna in the Cologne area. However, over the years it suffered under its own popularity, and other options emerging. The price performance ratio is slightly off. Infusions are overcrowded and there are too few. You need to be in the sauna at least 15 min before to secure a place.

It was nice but not as much as we expected and they don’t have many ceremonies and the sauna room that they use for ceremonies is small because of that it’s always full. It was good that we tried it out but we don’t go again.

I was one Wednesday morning there in winter. Everything was clean and staffs were super friendly. But i found the atmosphere a bit depressive as there was no music even chill one, the cafe was closed until 12pm. The outside pool could be warmer. Overall i get tiered after 30 min. But i have nothing against the cleanness and staff

Pool only: It was a bit of a „Meh“ experience. Alright for once, but don’t need to go again. The saunas were booked out so we spent an afternoon in the pool area. It was alright but overpriced for how nice it was. Only one medium sized indoor pool and outdoor pool. It is also not very fancy or so. The small restaurant is oke, but doesn’t have a lot of options and isn’t cheap.

We used to love Mediterana with my partner (we used to go often before covid).The last time we visited it was a very different place.The indoor pool was not clean and the place has lost its charm.It needs more maintenance.

We came to this place to use the swimming pool with my elderly grandmother. The entrance desk told us we need to book a slot online. It was such a hassle to get it done. How do you expect elderly to access the facilities if the booking is to be done online? There was a slot mentioned on the online booking and we entered in 5 minutes early. We were charged 2€ per person extra for getting out 5mins late however it was still within the slot time. Why is the slot mentioned if the timer starts as soon as you pass through the entrance?! The female changing area was smelling of pee. Though the pool was good I wouldn’t come here again.

We chose a random Monday midday since the website suggested being empty according to the green light for the entire day. In the end it took us 30min to find somewhere to park in the neighborhood because the thermal bath was absolutely full - so don’t trust their website. The staff forgot about our booked massage and let us wait - and waste our time - for nothing. Thanks god the friendly ladies at the entrance were nice enough to offer us a voucher (which still forces us to come back a second time..) The thermal bath looks wonderful but the water felt very cold. We only managed to stay in the small whirlpool outside but had to leave early cause we got cold and bored. The bar is totally overpriced. We got a cheap Brezel, the exact same that you can buy at any other discounter for literally 10 times less the price, which is ridiculous. Tbh I do not recommend going there, unless you are certain that your slot will be empty and you bring your own food.

Absolutely horrible experience. Before I went there I felt more relaxed. We took a day off to relax from daily stress and had to drive 4 hours total. We were impressed by the website but what we saw was everywhere red white tape as they were doing repairs on 4!!!! from 6 swimming spots. So we couldn’t really use the thermal area. There was only 1 slightly warm swimming spot and 1 cold swimming spot outside as 4 warm water areas were dried out for repairing. We are not really sauna people, we love water the most but unfortunately this wasn’t possible to do. We tried talking to the manager RIGHT after we arrived if we could book another day or if there’s anything she can do to save our day but she was absolutely arrogant and not helping. Kept saying it’s not her fault we should’ve checked the website. To notice… we booked 4 weeks in advance so it would’ve helped to let us know in an email that everything is under repair. We booked 4 hours and had to leave after 1.5 hours as this trip was wasted time. Is it soooo hard to calm the situation by offering a free coffee or something? Well learned my lesson and never again. Thanks for absolutely nothing. To add… none of the toilets had toiletpapers filled up

Cold water, two of their pools are closed and they don’t even mention. Sauna not included in the price so makes it even more expensive. And also they force you to buy their water shoes so take your owns or be prepared for paying 7 euros more for later throw this shoes to the trash. Hopefully I don’t get a flu because I completely froze at this place. Nice green area to sunbathe but the pools are completely boring besides the little one outside, which is not even that hot
