It’s a good buffet or order style restaurant. Good for lunch or dinner. I sure like Fri/Sat where there a frog legs on the buffet. Although you can order them anytime as well. For catfish pieces they have some of the best.

This buffet restaurant is very clean. The staff is amazingly friendly. I don’t usually Care for buffet Style eating but Check-H has a large selection of proteins, fruits and vegetables along with great old style southern consumer food items. If you don’t want buffet, you can order from a menu board. There’s something there for everyone! The price is moderate for the selection. The atmosphere is okay… like any clean, basic, small Town Restaurant.

Chicken liver was good could use more breading and there is one livers I got has a bitter taste. The beef stew was raw and the chicken was undercooked. The beans were good, better than the other beans I ate at other restaurants. Overpriced for the kind of variety of food you get. It is a lower class of Golden Coral. Friendly staff and friendly customers. You get one plate from the counter then you will have to wait for the server to bring you one for your next round then you have to ask again for another one if you want to eat more. There was no soup on only chili. I like the way they serve the salad dressing cause it is on kind of like a pitcher than scooping it from the pan.

Dined here tonight. Typical buffet with variety of food selections, a salad bar, limited dessert bar, fish area and Mexican food area. You can also order from the grill. There is a selection of meats and hot vegetables. Drinks are extra. I was not impressed with the food or the service. The fried chicken was over done. The peal and eat shrimp was mealy and not fresh. The ribs and beef tips were tough. The catfish pieces and the frog legs were OK. There was a limited number of desserts. I do not feel I got value for what I paid and would not recommend Check-H Grill and Buffet. I will not be returning.

First time going since it changed names. I had the buffet and the food just wasn’t great at all. Okra was soggy and greens had so much salt in them couldn’t eat. Chicken was overcooked. Over priced 20$ person. Maybe I should’ve ordered something on the menu. Just wasn’t good at all

Order the ribeye steak, it was ultra thin. Overcook, but not brown on the outside. Got it redid pretty much the same thing, can't do medium rare, and the steak looked like it was tenderized it was falling apart. The fries were good. I will never order a steak from here again.

The pictures are not at all what the food looks like. I went with my family at 6pm on a Saturday and the food was old. Taco shells were stale. The only edible thing was the popcorn shrimp.

Ordered the Cajun garlic steak and it not only was it rare and I ordered medium, it had so much salt on I could barely eat it. And no garlic at all. Andy baked potato was swimming in blood so I didn't even that. I won't be going back there again. The only good thing was our server, she really tried but whoever cooked that day failed miserably

Went at like 6pm.. food seems old.. hard.. the waiter was a older guy and very friendly and great.. asked on way out to pay about veteran discount.. nope.. Ole well wont be back.. food was nasty.. 16.99 for a buffet and the food was old.. never again.

Food was terrible...the chopoed ham for salad was turning gray...the pasta salad hadnt been stirred and had a crusty top on it...food was cooked too long and dry...the rolls came out cold and wouldnt melt butter...the plus was our waitress kayla...the sweet potato was good and the choc cake was good...that was it...wont be back for a long while...too many other places to go to

I loved western sizzlin but check h took over. In the beginning it was the same as before but lately just beginning to notice slackness on cleanliness. Why this has happened I don't know . Maybe the help doesn't care any more but when I sit down at the table and it is dirty and I move to another table it is the Same. dishes are dirty too so sad to say but the salad bowls still have salad in them . What is the problem ? I will go ahead and say the people at the order counter are not friendly either. My grandson has given me a gift card H e works hard for. His money What can I do.

UGH!!!! Just last November 2024 I was writing a great review. Today on 12-10-25 me and my Dad went here for lunch. The food wasn't good! It was barely room temp at best. There aint many options anymore on the food bar. Last year I was excited they had a revamp. This time I'm very highly disappointed. $40 for 2 people to have the food bar. Then when we got ready to leave my Dad noticed a roach crawling up the seat behind me. Needless to say my appetite went South. Now you're just an overpriced former Western Sizzlin. Come on Russellville do better!! And at least update the place. It's looked the same for the last 25 years!

Worst buffet ever...we tried again today & it wasn't any better than the 1st time. Rubbery watermelon, the slimming breaded "fish" isn't any kind of fish I've ever had. I had chosen sirloin, never knew it could ever be tuff. Don't get me started w dessert...

Mashed potatoes tasted like the worst instant potatoes. All vegetables tasted like they just got poured out of can. The fish was tasty and shrimp.

Food was good but service was horrible. Ordered the ribeye with a baked potato and was refused a to go box because my wife ordered the buffet. I paid almost 30 dollars for that steak only to be told no. WON'T BE BACK
