I had such a great experience during my visit! From the moment I stepped in I was greeted and immediately sat into a booth while the waiter was helping other customers. The food is tasty, but their spicy items are spicy! 🔥 If your sensitive to spicy hot I'd ask for a medium spice level or less if possible. Otherwise I recommend this place. The restaurant is busy in waves as they pick up with mobile orders or call-in orders and slow down as customers walk in to dine-in.

First time here. I can say it's exactly what I had the taste for. Vanessa was our waiter she is very nice and had great customer service. The chicken was crunchy and well done and the waffle was just right. When people came in she knew them by name which says a lot. We will definitely be back!! And it's 24 hrs!!!!

They have upgraded the atmosphere with comfy padded chairs and an enclosed kitchen. The menu has more than 10 pages of colorful delicious choices. We tried their fried green tomatoes with a spicy creamy sauce and they were better than what we had tried in Alabama. My honey loved her steak tips and eggs with a waffle. I felt that the jambalaya was short on flavor and long on oil. The shrimp was delicious but I used the sauce to bump up the flavor of the rest of the dish. I look forward to trying the gumbo next time.

Upon my first visit to Chicken-n-Waffles, I was greeted with a warm smile and promptly shown to a seat. I appreciated the option of both indoor and outdoor seating, and I chose to sit inside. My server was efficient in bringing my drink and taking my order. I decided to try the chicken wings, and while there was a slight wait, my server kindly offered a complimentary waffle. The waffle was pleasant, though not particularly memorable. However, the wings were excellent, being both meaty and perfectly cooked, avoiding any dryness. The service and food were commendable, but the restaurant's upkeep could use some attention. The ambiance felt a bit worn, and the men's restroom, though tidy, showed signs of disrepair.

Well, I ordered Jambalaya (sausage, chicken and shrimp) cant believe they even dare to put Vienna sausage or little beef franks in Jambalaya. Im from Cajun country and never have seen this even in the poorest places. Then has to salt my food, seemed like none was added cooking. 4 tables of people and took forever just to take my order and even longer to ask if I want my check. Its been 15mins since I finished eating still waiting for my check. Should have read these reviews first but was coming to eat at the Soul Food place. Which is this now. Very disappointed and should have gone elsewhere. Waitress explained the new owners are Muslim. So, how are they gonna be serving this type of food correctly. I suggest closing or changing the name again. Especially after seeing the review about Carfish not being catfish. Luckily I didnt order that or this review would be avout walking out on my bill.

Unfortunately i did not enjoy the food one bit here , this was the worst experience i have had dining in Sacramento , the chicken melt was filled with cheese and green bell peppers that i literally could not taste the chicken , the chicken sandwich was not better as for the chicken burger that i ordered for my kids, it was bland and lacked proper seasoning, the only thing tasty on my plate was the fries which were really great and crunchy. The staff was extremely friendly and served our order promptly, despite that i will not be returning

This place is such a disappointment, ordered the sliders for take out. Look at the chicken, this is not safe to eat. I’m hoping the food inspectors check out this place, they should be shut down for serving terrible “halal” quality food like this. Spent $25 for the worst chicken sandwich you can think of. I ordered dulce de leche, and it appeared quite different from the images displayed on the menu. When I inquired with the server about this discrepancy, I was informed that the actual presentation often varies from the menu photographs. This experience left me feeling somewhat misled by the restaurant. Additionally, the strawberries in my strawberry Nutella crepe seemed to be neither fresh nor appealing. Overall, it was a rather disappointing experience, and I do not plan to return to this establishment.

I wanna start by saying I have visited this restaurant several times and every time for the most part the food has been delicious. Tonight I ordered a catfish meal with sides, consisting of collard greens, yams, mac & cheese. The catfish was horrible. It was not catfish I don’t know what type of fish this was. It was so tough. I could not put a fork or a knife into it in the past I always had catfish fillets fried in the cornmeal batter. This was fried in a tempura beer batter as someone who loves catfish I know catfish and this was not it. The macaroni and cheese Had barely any cheese and there was like some crumbs or something that look like orange dried up flowers sprinkled all throughout it and little chunks, but it was not cheese. The yams in the past were were very soft full of juice extremely delicious. Tonight the yams were soft in the center, but extremely hard and on the outside. I honestly think I was served either leftover macaroni and cheese and yams that were maybe stuck to the bottom of the pan. I’m scared to taste the collard greens but for $27 Nearly $30 for this meal is unacceptable. I wasted my money and I’m not sure if I will ever go back to this restaurant.
