Ay Díos Mío-EXCELÉNTÉ COMÍDA Y GENTÉ! (Oh my God-excellent food & people) I met Gabby (co-owner) @ Smart & Final. We chatted in line & she invited me to Óralé Cantína! I drive past it daily & was going to make my way there but tonite was it. I planned w/my friends from church. MANNNNN!!! We had such a good time & I have enough food to last an entire week! Bartender/Co-Owner Halím came out, joked w/us, talked to us & made us feel welcome. Portions are HUGE. Food is seasoned well-I got the Nachos w/chicken. I fell in absolute ❤️w/their green salsa...so LO SIENTO MUCHO (I'm very sorry) Gabby & Halím... you'll be seeing me OFTEN, so get ready. Muchísímo Gracías (Thank You very much) you 2, we appreciate your kindness, the laughter, the free taste testers, but most of all your wonderful spirits. Órálé mi génté 🤎🫶🏽👊🏽
What an absolute treat. Traveling by myself and decided to stop by on a Sunday evening. What a fun place! The owners and staff are fantastic and it felt more like a family reunion/party than restaurant. I got the tuna ceviche, and more than one skinny margarita. Highly highly recommend their skinny margaritas. They have a green salsa, which is literally the best I’ve ever had. Thankfully, Gabby was willing to share how it was made and I’m bringing that home. It’s obvious that these people started the restaurant to serve their community. Thank you so much for welcoming me in for the evening. Highly recommend.
The food was absolutely amazing, both kind of salsa were delicious. We had the quesabirra and it was so good. Service was top notch and atmosphere peaceful and clean. Thank you!!!
We were just passing through town and we were trying to pick a good place to eat. Everyone we spoke to recommend chain restaurants, so that destroyed their credibility instantly. Hopped on the internet to search and this popped up as a local spot. Our server mentioned this place has only been open for 7 months! So we are very happy to support local here. Service was kind and wonderful. The food was better than we expected! Stronger heat profile on the food than I anticipated, and that improved the experience. I was very impressed with the balance of sour cream / veggies in each bite of the burrito. Great balance and most don't care to do it right like this. We'll be back next time we pass through Sac.
What a gem of a neighborhood gathering spot. Super friendly staff, we caught incredible karaoke talent, and walked out feeling rejuvenated! Swing by on Sunday nights. 🎉
It’s been hard to find a good place to eat close to Tahoe Park for years. This place have a great food, great environment and the service is the best. I’m becoming a regular here since is walking distance from home. I 150% recommend this place to everyone.
We stopped by to eat some Mexican food on our way back to Reno and we are SO HAPPY we did! The customer service was excellent. Gaby was our waitress. She was friendly, professional, and made our dinner as easy as possible! Their chips and salsa were delicious. I can be picky and can tell when salsa isn’t authentic. Their salsa was! We also had their margaritas and palmona cabrona which was DELICIOUS! For dinner we had fish tacos, quesabira tacos, and carne asada tacos. We’ll def be back when we visit Sacramento! Thank you!!!!
Fantastic new local spot! Friend and I went check this place out on a Monday, since it was ‘round the corner, and the food, service, and ambiance were exquisite. We met the owners and they were very friendly and welcoming. I had the enchilada/tamale combination plate with rice and beans and the green sauce was flavorful and delicious. It was cooked to perfection. Ordered a pitcher of the Cadillac margaritas and it hit the right spot. Owner came around and offered us a welcoming shot of their Laundry (I forgot the complete name) and it was also top notch. Highly recommend and will be back. Probably next weekend!
First visit about a week into their opening, on Jan 11 2025. Yes, you should go try Órale. I'm giving this visit a 5/5 because I want Orale to thrive, and any shortcomings I mention I imagine will be ironed out in time. Plus they were super accommodating to me and my 2 toddlers, which puts any visit rating above and beyond. Food 5/5 Atmosphere 4/5 Drink 3/5 Service 5/5 Overall, tasty fresh food, not a long wait for meals to arrive, bright and colorful decor, and big selection of food and drinks. Our total before tip was $64.98 for 2 adults, 2 toddlers. This included 3 tacos, 2-enchilada plate, a kid's quesadilla with rice and beans (~$11), one margarita, one horchata. And free chips & salsa. This is comparable pricewise with Mezcal on Broadway. We did not order any of the sushi or poke items, though two of the tacos we got were shrimp. They were out of the octopus (pulpo) and a few other seafood dishes, which our server told us upon ordering. We saw some other tables order the Japanese-inspired menu items and they looked pretty good (nachos poke, etc.) but I can't comment on how they are. Big dessert selection! We walked in and seated ourselves. The door is on the 12th Ave side of the building, not Stockton — so it makes it seem like you're walking in from the back, but it's actually the main entrance. Unclear at first but NBD. They brought us a high chair and chips promptly. The server explained the menu and what wasn't available, and our food came out maybe 10 mins after ordering. The silverware got brought to us after our food came, but just a small detail overlooked that's probably not a regular thing. The tacos are a winner here, I mean look at them (pics). Can't recall but it was a spicy shrimp, a beef, and forgot the last one. The chicken enchiladas, one red and green, were filling, warm, and perfect. I'd order those again. The kids' cheese quesadilla was an OK serving size, and they brought us extra rice and beans, nice touch. Horchata was delicious, not watered down. Tasted fresh. The one bummer was the Cadillac margarita — it tasted heavily of too-sweet mixer, and it needed shaking longer because it wasn't very cold. No salt on the rim (they didn't ask us if we wanted it, but I forgot to mention it — I assume margaritas come with salt). But it was huge, which has that going for the drinks. I didn't get much of a buzz, so I'd hope for a stronger ratio next time =D The decor is bright and fun. Atmosphere-wise it was welcoming, but Orale is so new that I'm not sure anyone knows what kind of atmosphere it's supposed to be — I could see it becoming a regular spot for drinks, or a family dining spot, or both? The bar is prominently located in the middle of the restaurant, and you can see it plus its 2 TVs from anywhere there. Similar to Venadita on Broadway. If you've been there, it's a similar atmosphere. Gracious, friendly staff at Orale who seem earnest about service, and it seemed like a good spot for any occasion. We live in the neighborhood and are stoked to have a place we can walk to. Orale is a great addition to Stockton Blvd (it's in the former Might Kong Cafe spot), and it'll hopefully enjoy a boost in business long term once the new apartments up the road are completed. Edit: Photo of the kids quesadilla is half of one serving. And typos.
This place is great. They aren't afraid to make spicy salsa, and it taste amazing. I got the enchiladas with one of each sauce, red and green. Green was a bit sweet and very good, but the red was amazing. The carnitas were crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. Really cooked how it should be. The server recommended a michelada, and it was the best michelada I've ever had. It wasn't watered down or just v8 juice. It was a great blend of spices with the perfect account of citrus. It was also very moderately priced for the quality of food. Definitely will come back.

Clean, warm classic Latina restaurant. Ordered large portion shrimp taco, beef taco and served with tortillas with house source. Quality ingredients. $23.5 including 20% tips I added. I will come back again if visiting central oak park area in Sac.
The food is delicious. We had the Mongolian octopus and spicy shrimp taco combos with the banana chimi for dessert. The standout was by far the octopus. It was perfectly cooked and not rubbery at all. The live music was great too. Looking forward to coming back.
This place is perfect for a casual date night! The servers were warm and attentive without hovering, making the evening feel relaxed. The food was tstanding-the sizzling fajitas and fresh guacamole made right at the table impressed both of us. The colorful lights and lively music gave the restaurant a fun, romantic energy.
Orale Cantina offers an outstanding dining experience. The food is absolutely delicious, and the restaurant is charming and picturesque, with a lively and inviting atmosphere. The service is excellent—attentive, friendly, and truly makes you feel welcome. Highly recommended.
The food was excellent I had one red and one green enchilada both sauces were delicious. My husband had the chilaquiles and a quesabirria taco they were also delicious. We both had a Diablo Paloma with a chamoy rim it was strong and good. Great costomer service the owner and the waitress made you feel like you were family.
My family and I stopped by on a Sunday for lunch. We had menudo, fish tacos and quesabirrias everything was delicious. We met Gaby (co-owner) and she was an absolute gem. We felt so welcomed and at ease that we even booked a future event with her. Great food, great service, and great atmosphere!
The atmosphere is incredibly warm and welcoming. We were well taken care of as we celebrated the life of and mourned the loss of a dear friend. The food was delicious and the Paloma Cabrona was the best. Worth it for the people alone though. Thank you Gabi :)
Amazing restaurant. Love the local vibe. The food is delicious. The menu has so many options. Thankfully the owner helped me select the best choice for me. Service is perfect. The background music was just at the right level. The decor is colorful. Everything feels authentic. We will definitely return soon.
This place is my new favorite. I come back every week and have introduced ot to most of my friends. The owner's commitment to this place shines in the quality of the food and the cozy, familiar atmosphere that makes you feel at home. This is not just a restaurant, this is a place that values and builds community. Amazing addition to Tahoe Park. Highly recommend.
This is such an amazing restaurant. The staff is so friendly and welcoming. We had dinner here with a large group of friends and they did a great job taking care of us. The food was so good, their signature cocktail Paloma Cabrona is a must try, and then we finished the night with churros. This restaurant loves serving their guests and all I can think is when can I come back and eat here again. For the food, for the service, for the joyful staff that truly enjoys what they do, I absolutely recommend this restaurant.
I went to Sunday Night Karaoke, which starts at 6:00 p.m. The sound system was fabulous, as were all the song birds! I had a cocktail called a Paloma which is the house specialty, and it was delicious. The cheese enchilada plate wasn't bad, either! I highly recommend! Karaoke night was great with everybody singing and dancing

Excellent skinny margarita --get the skinny bc its the normal recipe with fresh lime and agave vs. sweet and sour mix. I'll be back for the $50 pitcher/5 drinks!! My tacos fell apart though. I think tortillas needed more time on the griddle. I will try more of the menu to find a food option I like. If I consider it a true cantina where drinks are the main thing, it makes sense. Nice staff.
