Opinions de La Bodeguita de en medio Saldaña
One of the bar restaurants more famous of La Habana, we have the chance to have a wonderful Cuban dinner there, the food was top and the price very reasonsble, the mojitos are good, but not the best, so much people in the entrance of the bar expects to drink 🍹 one that you can see how the do 100's in less than a minute so has turn very commercial, outside of that is a legend place to visitors, also al the walls of the restaurant are full of pictures of famous people and the waiter are so nice and give you a black pencil ✏️ to leave a memory in the legendary walls of the Bodeguita del medio. Best meals we had in Habana and the service was Top's, my congrats🎉
The original La Bodeguita Del Medio famous all over the world. The place is very crowded, it has people all the time, at any part of the day. It's really hard to find a table, but actually you don't need one, there are people that are standing in front of the place and drinking cocktails. It;s OK even if you just want to enter inside to have a look at the place and read the inscriptions on the wall, pictures from the famous people that have visited this place.
this is a “must” in l’Habana. The excellent staff remains a straight for this location. Special thanks for his warm welcoming to the person that speaks an excellent Italian (sorry I forgot the name). Food at very good level with the atmosphere doing the rest. Many thanks and see you next time for sure
A must visit when in Havana. One of the most historical places in the city. Obviously, the buzz around the venue is used by the owners to increase a bit the prices but it is still worth the experience. 6€ for a mojito. Permanently packed with tourists and local people playing guitar and singing. Good place as well to buy some souvenirs, cigars and memorabilia on the store of the bar. Good prices when compared to official stores of the government.
This is one of two super touristy places made famous by the fact that it was where Hemingway drank, in this case Mojitos. When we walked by the first time the place was packed (and it's tiny) so we decided to head to dinner first, then come back later for a night cap. There was only about 7 people in the bar when we came back, but unfortunately it was because the band was wrapping up their set. Still. It was enough time for us to enjoy a signature mojito, and dance to an excellent band. The place is so small that the band is practically dancing with you. The bartender was really friendly, especially for such a touristy places. He kept topping up Marks cocktail. Prices were also reasonable.
This is one of the most touristic spot in Havana. Yes it is a tourist trap, yes it is expensive, of course it is always crowded but still it is a must go place in Havana! One of the best mojito in town. It is Hemingway’s favourite location on this end of the town. Walls are full of autographs from Salvador Allende, Fidel Castro, Harry Belafonte, Nat King Cole. Atmosphere is cool. Try to get a seat on the bar and enjoy your moment.
Cuban best place to taste the best Mojito in island, favorite place of Earnst Hammingway, live cuban music...
Wonderful place, not at least because I reminded some of the patrons of Hemingway 🤣😂 Excellent mojitos and a very good live band. Loved the lobster cubana. Yum. Want to have a great time in Havana, don't miss this place
Amazing, very delicious, we had the lobster it was perfect, the lemonades were not that good i tried better in cuba, i think they add lots of sugar. Beautiful atmosphere
What a place!!! The ambience is just the best. Mojitos are super good and you have live music every day. In my opinion is one of the best bars in Havana. You can also eat and it has a 2nd floor where you can also Have a good mojito or another drink. If you pay a little extra you can choose different rums for your mojitos. The bar area is a bit small but its great if you want to meet interesting people.
A Havana Classic. Even though it's no secret and you can tell how popular this place is, it did not disappoint. Went multiple times during my stay in Havana and the service is quick and very friendly. It is amazing how a bar runs just serving one single drink all day and remains busy all day. Great spot to take a break from walking through the city and listen to some classic salsa hits played by the many different groups of musiviand stopping at the bar.
Popular bar and restaurant in the heart of Havana, famous with mojito but it seemed to a kind of automated preparation, food at restaurant section is good, there is also live music
Definitely a must when visiting Havana. The price is reasonable compared to other bar in the old town. Considering its historical fame it is totally worth a visit. The music band here and the vibe are remarkable.
Very nice place to spend the afternoon. Good food and nice live music.
This was a fantastic wee bar and the mojitos were just incredible! It's a very busy bar so you may have to wait to get in but it's worth it. As small as it was, they still managed to fit a band in to play music while you drink. Every nook and cranny was covered in messages written by customers and it was almost impossible to find a spot to write our names. The food wasn't anything to write home about but if you're in the area, get in there for a drink!

Such a unique and full-of-character place! It has a truly authentic vibe — you absolutely must visit and try their mojito!

It's small, you need to wait, it's hard to find a place to sit BUT mojito are what there are supposed to be. The perfection.
A legendary spot to visit in Havana, made famous by Ernest Hemingway. Extremely busy but the atmosphere around the place was so lively. A band plays live music throughout the day. The mojitos were delicious! Because the spot is so famous and busy, a lot of street artists are around so I recommend watching your bag when you're there.
This place was on my bucket list, check mark ✔️ It was small and crowded. The main reason I visited the bar was that it was Hemingway's favorite bar.
I always drink a mojito here. Sometimes I also eat here. It's a restaurant I always visit when I go to Cuba.

Cool spot for a drink as you walk thru old havana! Enjoy the classic mojito
Mojito was $6 USD in cash or 600 Cubano pesos if you can pay with a card (non-USA only). That's obviously a better deal. The drinks are pretty good. Atmosphere was great with a lively band playing. The place was packed when we went by at around 1:30pm.
Authentic atmosphere, the band that is singing is very professional. A key place that you must visit while in Havana, in the memory of Ernest Hemingway. On the other side, the alcohol they use in cocktails is very low quality.

Lunch stop with our tour guide. Again good authentic tasty Cuban good with live music. The Strawberry Daquaris were teriffic and desert was lip smacking. I would for sure eat here again.
This bodeguita del medio used to be great , not anymore, but still have the cubam vibes .It is too cheap to be as good as before but still it worth the visit

Went in the afternoon, not so crowded at that time. Only virtual menu. Good Snak, live music, Good Mojito, the service was excellent.

It is worth a look simply if you want to see a bit of history as evident by the graffiti and memorabilia. While it is typically packed with camera toting tourists they do serve a good mojito and can have a good atmosphere. The live bands are wonderful. Most people just stay outside and listen to the music, its electrifying.
I believe anyone who is visiting Havana would make a stop here given the history behind it. Every time I passed it and then when I eventually visited it, it was always packed and crowded. I loved the ambiance, decor, the nostalgia and the feeling this place evoked. The music that was played during our visit was great. But the food was disappointing. I had the shrimp dish. The shrimp were large in quantity but lacked flavor and was under cooked. But from my friends I heard that the pork dish was amazing. They also didn't have all the drinks that were on the menu. Overall a place that I will visit to just tick it off a must do list. But that's about it. Doesn't warrant a return unless it's for a quick Mojito break!
We went a few hours ago as per recommandation and I cal tell you it’s wasn’t the wow factor!! Recognized for the best mojitos of Havana, and it wasn’t . My mojitos had almost no rhum in it. I had to ask rhum in it. Now the restaurant food in the back was 4 stars pretty tasty and great service. For 2 mojitos langouste and fish plate and rice was 3500cup about 30$ usd.
As per usual in Cuba, drinks for the win, food for the ... On an all serious note, the food wasn't terrible. I was given a limited choice of around 5 dishes on a menu of 10 plus. I'm finding this a common happening in Havana. I went with the pork steak. It came with cold vegetables and the classic rice and beans which were just fine. The pork was slightly dry but was helped by a garnish of spring onions - definitely not terrible. Where things go tremendously downhill is the side dish of roast potatoes - just not edible. Sweet, sweet sweet. I can't stand overly sweet potatoes. I'm yet to have a good potato in Havana and I'm convinced that if they can't get it right here - there's very little to no hope elsewhere. (UPDATE: I have now been to Vinales and Playa Larga and I can happily report that good potatoes can be found!) On a plus, the service and atmosphere are pretty much perfect - although for the second half of my meal the live music which had welcomed me in a such a classically Bondesque fashion had stopped which was a shame. All the waitors (other than one old guy who was possibly the owner) were jolly and served with grace. Another high will forever be with me - of course the Mojito. As expected it was amazing. IMPORTANT - If you're paying by card, the rates will be alot higher than expected as it's the official rate for CUP - USD. I was expecting $13 but was charged $36. Bring CUP cash!
Totally overrated! The front is filled with tourists all hours of the day. The food is ok, but nothing special. We tried the Ropa Vieja because a lot of people here recommend it... it was mediocre. The Mojitos are really small. All in all, a tourist trap. You can find a better place to eat with more delicious food! The live music was great, but it is practically everywhere in Havana.
This is a very historic pub. One of Hemingway's favourite bars, a must-see historical place. However, it is not recommended to eat or drink anything because they use the ingredients sparingly and it is unnecessarily expensive.

Mojitos are $/€ 6 (yes, usd and eur are treated as the same value). The bar part is nice and mojitos are decent. They accept eur/usd cash and credit card, not cuban pesos. The mojitos are nothing s…
The famous mojito is not so good. Because they prepare the drinks so quick for a lot of people at the same time, they are not able to catch the original taste.
Two stars for the service. The man in the cashier told us that we can pay only with euro , dollars or credit card. They do not accept their currency (we had only pesos). Tourist trap at its finest. Mojito 800 pesos equals to 1.8 euro but 6 euro if you pay with euros. However, the mojito is very good.

This is a terrible bar/restaurant The food is unedible This.place is still living.off it's past glories Don't go there it smells its dirty throughout ,if u have to!!? order a mojito and leave but …
Horrible service as soon as we walked in. staff was rude and condescending. Will never visit again.
I want and I must make tourist aware about two biggest mistakes or wrong doing from this place. The biggest one is that the ice that they put on the drinks are from tap water, which it leads get some parasites in your stomach since the water in Cuba is not as process as ours. Two they should use angostura bitters. My brother and I spent few days with diarrhea after been here. Plus everybody gets crazy on the first floor when you have a nice bar on the second floor.
Definitely tourist trap. If I can give zero star to Service, I would. No smile, no greeting, blunt tone, side eye. Seriously overrated and no respect to tourist. Because they know they are famous and people will come anyway. $6 for mojito here and below average taste. $3 elsewhere with even better taste

A massive let down. This was a bucket list bar, ever since I was a bartender over 20 years ago. The service was quick, but the Mojito was appalling. It was watery, with no flavour of rum, lime was practically absent, and the mint might as well have been left in the bag for all the good it did. An absolute waste of $6 each. Avoid if you know what a Mojito should actually taste like.
I’ve eaten here before, and the food, service and atmosphere has been excellent. However, I do not know what the heck happened today. We waited for our food for over an hour and it was finally brought to our table Luke warm and served haphazardly. The waiter stated 2 cooks had quit , etc, etc. The rice was undercooked, it has been simply horrible! To top it off, we brought our family here to eat who are visiting from NY and I know this is the experience they will be taking back. SHAMEFUL to have opened the day after Christmas, not have staff and having food brought out subpar!
The bar downstairs is totally overrated, living on past glory. The service is mediocre, serving only Mojitos for $6.00 each and only accepting US currency. For a bar that boasts of being more traditional in Habana is very deceptive. The only positive is the band that plays really well. If you want to know it, walking on the sidewalk will make the trick.
We were looking forward to dining at this well-known restaurant, but our experience was completely ruined by a group of scammers operating right outside the entrance. As we approached, they handed us a pen and insisted we sign their “guest wall,” pretending to be part of the restaurant. After signing, they demanded money in an extremely aggressive and inappropriate manner. My wife was so traumatized by the confrontation that she had trouble breathing and felt extremely distressed. We were forced to cancel our dinner and leave immediately. What was supposed to be a nice evening turned into a frightening and upsetting experience. I am deeply disappointed that the restaurant allows this to happen directly outside their door. There was no staff intervention, no warning to customers, and no effort to ensure a safe and welcoming environment. Until the restaurant takes responsibility for the safety of its guests and prevents these scammers from harassing people, I cannot recommend visiting. Be very careful if you go your safety and peace of mind may be at risk.
