⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I recently visited Yayas Restaurant during a work trip with my husband, and it was an absolute delight! We stayed at the Homewood Suites with our dog, and every day we’d walk past the restaurant to let our pup out. The incredible aromas from the kitchen always caught our attention, so we decided to check it out on our last night. We looked up their menu and saw they had some great happy hour deals, so we couldn’t resist getting a few small bites and some drinks! Our waitress Amanda was simply AMAZING! Very friendly, attentive, and made us feel right at home. For appetizers, we enjoyed the table-side bread with an eggplant and garlic puree, as well as the bruschetta with goat cheese. Everything was so good we decided to order more so we tried a cauliflower steak with pesto and melted cheese, delicious! We also splurged on their happy hour special: a pizza and a bottle of wine for just $25. We got the Italian hot honey pizza and it was as good if not better than our favorite pizza place in Korcula! The food was absolutely incredible, full of flavor and perfectly cooked. I wasn’t able to finish the bottle of wine and the chef vacuum sealed the bottle with our receipt for us to bring it up to the room with us! Overall, a fantastic dining experience. Service was excellent! We’ll definitely be coming back next time we’re in town for a work trip!

Fantastic experience for travelers! Great waitstaff service, food quality, portion sizes, and phenomenal local & scratch kitchen overall! We arrived around 7:20 pm on a Saturday night, fairly busy but seated immediately by hostess for a table of three (one adult, one toddler and one preschooler). Our server (Josh) was very attentive, informative and helpful. I am not a fan of capers, so they easily switched the caper sauce with a delicious apple maple one that complimented the flavors without being overwhelming. My salmon was cooked perfectly, very tender and no hint of dryness, with a light touch of crispy crust; roasted asparagus and a lightly crispy (not undercooked) white & wild rice mix that had refreshing notes of butter & lemon. Hefty serving of fruit alongside the cheeseburgers my kids ordered, and they enjoyed the dirt & worms ice cream dish in their kids meals. Creme brûlée for dessert was creamy and perfect! Lovely soft sourdough bread with the complementary Baba Ganoush before our food came to the table was so light and delicious! We thoroughly enjoyed our food, server was fantastic, appreciated options for many different dietary restrictions, and loved the flexibility of the kitchen in making things we could eat! Would definitely eat here again if in town.

What a beautiful gem right in the plains of Kansas, you find this great restaurant and really cute town of Salina, Kansas. I travel for work so I’m always checking out new spots in love trying new places. They offer outside patio and inside dining as well as bar seating. The restaurant is very clean on the outside the inside and the surrounding areas. The bathrooms were very clean. They have table cloths that are changed after each customer. The decor is welcoming and feels fancy. My server was very sweet. She was kind. She explained everything. She offered her suggestions when I asked for advice, but she did also have her own recommendations, which I appreciated. She was an attentive to my needs. She also just converse with me as a regular person which I enjoyed. It wasn’t just about the menu. The food was great. I had a side salad, my main course was a fillet with mashed potatoes and asparagus, and I tried the butter cake. To drink I got the pear mule with cinnamon. No complaints whatsoever. The salad was the freshest salad. I’ve had in a while, and I love the fact that it was not out of a bag.. the fillet was perfect. The mashed potatoes were perfect and dessert. The butter cake was phenomenal. My short visit here in Salina Kansas has been great and I thoroughly enjoyed eating at this great restaurant in a small town.

Second time to YaYa’s and everything was perfect! Beet salad was amazing. Cocktails were perfect! Ashley was great. Wonderful date night!

We were driving through Kansas and needed to stop for dinner. We were dressed in our gym clothes, thankfully we were seated. Most people were dressy casual clothing. This is.a good place for a date night. I enjoyed their Stegrita adult beverage. The lasgna is definitely large enough to share. The service was great. We left no trace of ever having the butter and.

Great place. Food was great and drinks were amazing. Service was great as well. We didn't go without anything. Everyone ordered something different and Noone complained. Actually everyone raved about the food. Would return. Arrived during happy hour so half drinks and appetizers were great priced. Worth it.

Perfection here! Ordered the salmon after both bartenders helped me navigate through the menu and offered suggestions on what I was leaning towards. Chef recommended a medium cook so that’s what I got and I could not be happier. The rice and veggies did more than hold up their end as amazing accompaniments. 10/10 need to visit.

I posted a review of the hotel in which this restaurant is located. Both, the restaurant and hotel complement each other. The food is delicious and different at a reasonable price. The drinks are string and price very low. The ambiance is amazing, quiet and it overlooks a very beautiful street in a gorgeous downtown. Service was friendly and top notch.

Ok... I went here for 3 consecutive nights and skipped and then back again. Service was equally good, with 3 having great customer interactions. Tyler, there was not much interaction since I only had a 1/2 Ceasars salad. Overall... a Gem in Salina, for a small town cutting edge Ultra Modern and fresh. Facility is much larger than it shows. Could easily fit in in any large city modern urban area. They bring bread out with Bobba Ganoush is heavenly! Monday - Jessica awesome service Meal... Bills Chicken - absolutely awesome salad where you add your protein and swirl in heaven. I added the grilled chicken. To die for is the butter cake...only order and share with 2 or 3, I ate on this for 4 days. I also had the Brushetta... another trip to heaven. Ok, yes, I over ate! Tuesday - Tyler excellent service Came in late...only had 1/2 Caesars salad. Great service, and the salad was excellent. Wednesday - Regan amazing service Wild mushroom ravioli with filet tips... absolutely amazing. Great taste and flavor. Saturday - Ash...Awesome service and conversation Had the salmon salad, which was absolutely wonderful. Salmon was cooked medium per the chef recommendation. Absolutely delicious.. Great flavor! Sunday - the Bar Pepperoni pizza...superb. I have made this my eatery of choice! 11.4.2024 had Obed as our server. Very impressive young man, very attentive. Chopped Mediterranean vegetable salad with feta, kalamata & Castelvetrano olives, tomatoes, cucumber, artichokes, lemon vinaigrette with chicken. Excellent meal!

Modern european-style bistro with low lighting and views of downtown Salina featuring rich, delicious comfort flavors. Ordered the hummus platter to start and devoured the fresh babaganoush. The bread was hot & fresh baked, too. Then indulged in a half chicken meal and steak meal. The meat was tender, and the veggies were charred and so flavorful. We decided on dessert...it was just as fantastic as the rest of the meal. Our waitress was mindful, friendly, and gave great suggestions. Highly suggest Yaya's for your meal in Salina.

Fabulous restaurant. Everything I have tried on the menu has been fantastic. Highly recommend requesting Jordan as your server in the dining room. Happy hour menu has great options.

Gluten free travel led me to this gem. I told my server I will need a to-go container, as I expected I would only eat half and be on my way. First bite in and I told her “forget the to-go box”. I typically eat for fuel…this meal was fuel and absolutely delicious. They totally took care of my gluten free needs and served up a great meal. For here. Give them your money. Have a great gluten free experience. #glutenfreeflyer

Some of the best food I’ve ever had in my life! We got the bruschetta & truffle fries for appetizers and they were amazing. My husband got the bass special and I got the shrimp risotto and we were absolutely thrilled with the quality and freshness. Ended the experience with butter cake which was heaven on a plate!! The only drawback was the restaurants choice in music. Didn’t fit the classy food. We will definitely be back though!!

Amazing customer service and even better food. I had the Salmon (medium)salad, butter cake, and raspberry lemon drop (well balanced drink not too sweet). The Salmon didn’t carry a fishy taste or smell. Perfectly cooked. Came with sourdough bread and a eggplant spread with herb oil. Reasonably priced.

I took my mother here for Sunday brunch. What a fantastic spread! Such a variety on the buffet. There are also options from the kitchen that you can order, all included in the price. Prime Rib and Eggs Benedict being 2 of the many options. Ryan was our server. So friendly and knowledgeable. We loved the experience!! Wonderful!

The service was great every part of my meal was cooked to perfection Everyone was really friendly even if they weren't my server. The dining room layout and deco was really nice in my opinion. Overall great experience!

We intentionally drive through Salina, to eat at Yaya's. The food is always tasty and the service is excellent. We eat out a lot (probably too often), so we've acquired particular taste buds. It's a must visit restaurant!

What can I say? Literally the perfect dining experience. It meant a lot to us. It was our anniversary and our first date night since my wife finished chemo. Service absolutely stellar. Friendly waitress with a killer smile. The food omg the food. I've been very lucky in life and for business been afforded the chance to go to alot of the world's most renown restaurants. The rib eye steak. Could not have been cooked or seasoned better. The mashed potatoes and mushrooms honestly some of the best I've ever had in my life. And that says something I say again I've been to some amazing restaurants. Plus the creme brulee for dessert was practically a religious experience. That you so much for the great service and wonderful food. My wife and I will definitely be back. If you are in the area and want a good date or night out meal you can not possibly go wrong in choosing this place.

I came here for lunch. Ate in the bar area. Good service. Food was very good. I had lasaga and soup of the day which was a crab chowder. The chowder was very rich and the portion very large on the lasagna. I didn't want dinner because I was still full. I was surprised there was no house salad with the lasagna but not bothered by it. The decor of the place was very nice. The staff friendly and the place was very clean. I will return with the person who recommended it to me.

I had gnocchi, salmon salad, and butter cake. It was all delicious. This place is a little pricey, but I felt satisfied with the price considering the quality of the food. The service was also very good.

Extraordinary experience! Incredible menu, I had 3 meals in 2 days. Very convenient location with an amazing food NYC style. I travel a lot for work all over US and I was truly surprised with the quality of food and service. The bread with baba ganoush you get when you order any meal is out of this world. Nathan was a super attentive server such a great guy! The whole staff is just awesome and friendly. I can't wait to come back.

I've been here a few times in the last few months, and have been extremely pleased every time. This is the Trout Almondine, which was fantastic. I will continue to come here in the future, that's for certain.

Chance was an exceptional server and made our experience so pleasant. Everything we had was delicious: crusty bread that was still warm, margherita pizza, a tomato burrata salad, Sam Adams Oktoberfest beer, and a dessert of fresh cream and berries. Each item was just exceptional. Additionally, the patio seating was so pretty with white tablecloths and string lights. We thoroughly enjoyed this evening and absolutely recommend. Couldn't be happier.

Unexpectedly excellent, all around. I am from the northeast and grew up on fresh Canadian seafood right out of the Atlantic, and spent summers in the Mediterranean. I don’t know who their supplier is, but the seafood served at this location is top-notch. I had the mussels and calamari, and both were among the top meals I’ve had since moving to the Midwest. There was a small hiccup in my order, but Kevin and his team made it right efficiently and with a smile. No detail was spared in my takeout order, either—the presentation, the innovative takeout containers used, and sauces that accompanied each meal—they were out of this world! I would purchase the sauces immediately if they were available for sale. They even included hot bread from their bread service with their homemade dipping sauce (which appeared to be an oil, garlic, and sumac emulsion). I would recommend this location wholeheartedly. YaYa’s isn’t simply a gem in Salina, but in KS as a whole! Many compliments to the management, chefs, and staff.

Ooo my this was way more fancy than we expected but it was an amazing treat to ourselves. My husband was so impressed with his flat iron steak it melted in his mouth. Our waiter was so kind to us. We loved it.

This is my 4th time here and it is ALWAYS good. My son took me on a mother-son date for a belated birthday dinner. The food was excellent, our server was fantastic, and they even gave us a free dessert for my belated birthday!!!! Can't recommend this restaurant enough.

My go to in Salina KS. To be honest way better than the YaYas in wichita.....I have been to many steakhouses and higher end restaurants but this is in my top 10 easily....consistently is key. Always good. Steaks always cooked right. They don't skimp on anything. Sometimes the best restaurants are not in the biggest cities.

Absolutely loved it. Can't wait to get back to try more menu items. Excellent quality, great taste. Very pleased with server. It's a good idea to get a reservation.

First time eating there, for my birthday celebration. They had some gluten and dairy free options and the food was SO good! Service was good and the place was clean. The only downside is for those with bad legs/knees is due to the fact that they are apart of the hotel there, the bathroom is outside the restaurant down the hall.

P

Excellent menu of fresh and tasty choices. We had mussels in a wonderful sauce, coconut chicken salad, babaganoush and pita bread. Just right after a day of traveling. Over the top service from our hostess, waiter, and manager. Comfortable and pleasing surroundings.

Food was great. The drinks were very good. When busy it can take a minute for server to get to you but when we had somewhere to be he made sure our order got to us quickly.

First off our waitress Amanda was warming and very helpful! She recommended what items from the menu and we were not disappointed at all! She was great! Secondly the food was delicious I had the Hot Honey Pizza and my wife had the 8 cheese raviolis with chicken. We both were very pleased with the food. Third the atmosphere was cool and inviting. Glad we stopped in and we would definitely eat here again.

Yaya’s is one of my favorite restaurants anywhere in the country. Every time I’m in Salina, it’s a must-visit for me. The food is consistently fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented; you can really tell the care that goes into every dish. The staff (mostly college students) are always warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming, creating a relaxing and enjoyable dining atmosphere. I’ve never once had a bad experience here. Yes, the prices are a little higher than some of the other spots on the street, but you absolutely get what you pay for. The quality, presentation, and overall dining experience are outstanding and well worth it. Over time, I’ve tried a variety of dishes, drinks, and desserts, and every single one has been excellent. If you’re visiting for the first time, I highly recommend the Chicken Gnocchi, Lamb & Frites, or Steak. You can’t go wrong with any of the desserts either. They also have a great Happy Hour. I always look forward to going back and wish this restaurant never ending success.

Have eaten here before and they gave me burned pizza. Not sure why you'd say sorry the pizza is burned and then serve it to guests. But tonight the food was great. My friend ordered the chicken salad and it looked tasty with a generous portion of chicken, my mom had the cheese ravioli she said was decent and the sauce tasted fresh, I just ordered some gnocchi and it was very very good. I was surprised at the small portion but it is really rich and filling and I wouldn't hesitate to order it again during happy hour when it's cheaper. Food was great.

We came in today and the food was amazing and the pizza is definitely PICKY EATER APPROVED! My Wild Mushroom Ravioli was amazing as always. What truly stood out though was the kindness of Amanda. She brought the food to us and was such a sweetheart. All smiles and such lovely energy all around. We all loved her, she was so awesome. Totally will come back soon in hopes she will be our waitress.

The Calamari Fritto was a solid 4 out of 5. The mix of tender calamari rings and crispy baby octopus (the tiny whole ones) was fried to golden perfection. The texture was on point—no rubbery bites here. It came with two dipping sauces: a creamy aioli-style sauce that hit the spot and a bitter one that didn’t quite do it for me. Squeeze of 🍋 made it great. Fresh bread with baba ganoush complimentary for the table. I also tried the flatbread pepperoni pizza. The pepperonis were the real MVP—large, packed with flavor. Fresh Parm. Unfortunately, they went a little heavy-handed with the whole cloves of garlic. I’m all for garlic, but biting into those felt like entering vampire-proof mode. It was just too much, and I ended up handing it off to someone else. Service was good. Our waiter was...energetic.

Service was great! Food was good but it wasn’t anything extraordinary. I ordered the Crab Cake Benedict. It didn’t have much flavor. The same with the burger. Very bland. Truffle fries were tasty!

W

Unfortunately my pasta dish was pretty small for a dinner portion. Additionally, it had clearly sat under a warmer for a significant time causing the dish to dry out. Kinda disappointed because other dishes looked pretty good.

I rarely leave reviews, but my recent experience at YaYa’s (and first time there) was so exceptional that I had to share — and it’s all thanks to Amanda, my incredible server. From the moment I sat down, Amanda made me feel like a VIP. I was incredibly nervous since it was my first time at a "fancy" restaurant, but she was warm, welcoming, and incredibly knowledgeable about the menu, even helping me by explaining some of the items I didn't quite understand. Her recommendations were spot-on — from the appetizers to dessert, everything was perfection. (Side note: if she tells you to try something, just do it. She knows what she's talking about.) What really set Amanda apart was her attention to detail. My drinks were never empty, my table was always clean, and somehow, she managed to anticipate my needs without ever being intrusive. She struck that rare balance of professional and personable — like catching up with a good friend who just happens to run the best table in the house. It’s clear she genuinely cares about her guests and loves what she does. She made my dinner not just a meal, but a memorable experience. YaYa’s itself is a gem — cozy atmosphere, delicious food, and an excellent vibe — but Amanda is the reason I’ll be returning again and again. If you’re planning a visit, do yourself a favor and ask for Amanda. She’s the heart of this place.

The pizza was the most outstanding dishes, great quality and a decent price as well. The steak I got was ok, it was cooked the way I wanted but it lacked a bit of seasoning and it was very thin like a fajita steak. The bread and baba they serve as you wait for your meal is really good. The water tastes a bit odd so we asked for Pepsi and the soda was just as odd tasting. The calamari was pretty good too. Overall it was an ok experience. I'll come back to try other things and for the pizza and baba

A
Amanda Stover

The food was very good. Probably the best I’ve had since moving from Colorado. The price for portion size is laughable. The main reason why I’m giving a 3/5 is their service. The servers were inattentive, judgmental, and just truly only came around to throw the check in your face. Not once were we checked on in more of a manner of “are you ready to order” and when we said “not yet” they walked away. Stayed for an hour and a half, saw our waitress twice. Horrible service great food.

Q
Quick Draw McGraw

Huge price for a small portion of only so-so food, outrageous prices in fact, considering it was a lunch menu.. I thought of ordering a half portion but instead ordered the full portion thinking I could take the leftovers home. Wow! The "full" portion was barely enough for lunch and I am small eater. Ridiculous prices for a menu with very little meat on it. Not a restaurant for men, maybe hippie chicks, but little on the menu for men. Excellent service though.

G
Ginger Bread

I want to start and say the service was amazing and the atmosphere was nice, only reason I’m not rating it lower was because of the great service. My waiter was funny, even though he took his sweet time to come to our table from time to time! He made up for it with character!! Being honest, the food was bland and the portions were small. For the price, it was definitely not worth it! My wife and I, between us had the free range chicken, the meatball something and the NY Strip Steak! It all lacked flavor! I will say that you can’t beat the service, as we were leaving they held the doors open! What you are paying for isn’t the food but a good time, as long as you get our waiter, Haha!

M
Matt Mead

The service was just not really good for the price they're asking. No plates with our appetizers, we had to ask for silverware never got water refills and our waitress would just disappeared leaving us stuck and had to go find her. The food was really good, just not much of it. Our booth was dirty and there was dust everywhere around the top and on the lights

Worst meal ever at Yayas. Staying in hotel n got it to go. Don't even care i had to wait 20 min really from stayed time. Ordered a med rare filet mignon. Got a well done compressed hamburger. Plain cold mashed potatoes even after sitting there waiting. Nothing on them at all. Very disappointed. Usually have great food.

S
Sarah Cox

Food was great and the servers are sweet but the general manager is the issue. Jim is always condescending and rude. Kevin was a fine general manager before he left but the new general manager is just rude. Every time we’re in lately there’s an issue and Jim Anderson never wants to fix it but always tries to prove that he is right. It is very unprofessional for a “fine dining” restaurant especially in Salina where there is not many options. He tends to yell and fight with guests. I don’t see this establishment lasting much longer under his management.

Ordered the pork chops. This was my go too and favorite when I come here all the time. But this time the pork chops were smaller than expected looks like a pan cake. Normally it’s at least 1inch thick cut; and they forgot some ingredients like the sauce that goes on top/ some pecans very little bacon Pieces. Chef came out and looked at the plate and said what’s wrong with it? I said look is there anything missing? Shakes his head. I asked what happened to the pork chops they are usually 1 inch thick. He laughs and said this is 16oz. Yes but this looks like a pan cake and missing ingredients. Chefs looks at it again and then said ok fine I’ll have someone get you the sauce that is missing. Wow ruined my experience there I lost my appetite. I ended up boxing it to go and just left. Will Never go back there again. My wife was shocked and got also with the manger luckily we didn’t have to pay for just the pork chops. Also the couple beside us said their meal was horrible too and this was the worst pasta he ever had. The portions was little for the price he paid and taste like it came out of a can. He was traveling and stopped by returning back to New York. Well seems to me I wasn’t the only one then.

I ordered a ribeye the other day and Waiter said we only have KC strip now Which was disappointing, but I got it and it was horrible way over cooked and When the waiter came to drop off the check, it was $45 and said ribeye so i asked if the KC strip is the same cost as the ribeye and he said yes so i paid 48$ for a burnt over cooked KC strip and a very small amount of Mashed. Sad to see them get rid of the ribeye. It was one of the best in town. We will have to find a Different restaurant to get steaks but the Drinks were good!
