Very delicious food! The coffee and the fresh orange juice was fabulous! Highly recommended:)
Stopped here a few times on our trip. The lavender latte is absolutely amazing! The bagel sandwiches are pretty good as well! Good setting and something quick to enjoy! Definitely would recommend if in the area. Serious… get the lavender latte!
Tasty breakfast and coffee joint - very unique!

Found this spot by chance while staying nearby in an Airbnb. Such a fun vibe and great roast options for those of you that love coffee. Sat outside and enjoyed the beautiful Sunday morning on their patio. Would highly recommend if you're in the area.
They make a great kids coco with whip, mini marshmallows, and syrup drizzle! The Egg and Sausage sandwich is also a favorite in our family. Great location and coffee. Nice to sit inside with big door open or on outside patio. Good tunes and wifi. Kids love watching the beans roast right there on site. Thank you!
Fun spot to grab coffee in San Anselmo. The menu is comically large but I think that's part of the fun. They have excellent lattes and also have oat milk as an option if you're into that type of thing. They do have some food (light bakery items, a quiche, etc) if you're hungry too but we didn't order any food. Recommended!
Great espresso, and fresh roasted coffee twice a week! The place is a bit outdated though, but I guess that's the theme they're going for?
So much to say... I've been coming here for 21 years. Some of the best small batch craft roasted coffee in California. Certain times of year you can get peaberry, and other times pure Kona or pure Jamaica Blue Mountain. Delicious made from scratch breakfast sandwiches and a delightful atmosphere to linger on work mornings or leisurely weekend mornings.
Since I have lived in San Anselmo, my favorite coffee shop for years was the original Coffee Roastery. I was quite upset when it closed. Now I go to the current Coffee Roastery because I like the decor, outside seating, and I believe it's owned by the previous owners of the Coffee Roastery that closed. The coffee and food are great. Since the location is not in the middle of the town, it's more calm and quiet. It's a nice place for families, or someone that just wants to sit and have a good latte.

Beautiful cafe! The bean smells so nice!
I don’t want to ruin this classic San Anselmo business’ income, but in lieu of a website or email address, I’m compelled to leave this public review in hopes that ownership sees it. You guys are over roasting your African beans to a criminal degree. Yirgacheffe and Tz pea berry are such delicate, complex beans, with so many floral / fruity / light flavors, that roasting them within an inch of their lives completely misses their point. Far be it from me to tell someone else how to run their business, but as someone with a deep knowledge of and passion for single origin light roast coffees, you guys shouldn’t do this to your (very expensive) Ethiopian and Tanzanian beans. Dark roast the other stuff. I’m sure most people want that. But please light roast those beans. I’m throwing away the one pound bag of yirgacheffe I bought yesterday, heartbroken at how burnt and undrinkable it is. For reference: V60 / medium ground / tetsu kasuya pour method. Side note: incredibly kind staff, and old school San Anselmo charm. Just burnt beans.
Great coffee, and with lots of treats and snack bars to choose from. I had cranberry coconut block, it tastes so good. I wish they would open until 8pm.

Been here a few times and really like the spot. The drip coffee is delightful, but I’ve also gotten some really burned milk when I ordered a latte and another coffee for my wife. Hopefully they can work that out. Will continue to support this spot.

This rating (3 stars) is solely based on the smoothies, so take it accordingly. The place was cute and smelled like coffee, but the staff was okay and the smoothie wasn’t all that good.

I come here almost every Sunday and in the last few months, they close the doors at 4PM or 4:30PM - even if the place is filled with people. According to their posted hours, they're open until 6PM, so not sure if it's the workers making that decision or if the owners changed the hours. Feels like they're kicking people out early because they want to leave. Not a friendly vibe. The coffee and the snacks/pastries are good.
On a Sunday morning, I stopped by to grab a cup of cappuccino paired with pastry. The interior seemed inviting having both indoor and outdoor seating, strange drawings on the walls and nice decor. The variety of pastry is pretty good, and you can order anything from coffee to smoothies as a drink. My usual choice is cappuccino, and this time I ordered the same. The drink came with over an inch of foam on top of what tasted like over-roasted coffee, probably not as bad as Starbucks, but really not that great. Their pecan pastry was, on the other hand, quite large and delicious. I enjoyed the atmosphere with people reading a book or a newspaper, studying or just looking out onto the street. Peaceful... I came back later that day and got a smoothie. That was a bit of a disappointment as well. While the flavor was pretty good (Tropical smoothie), the consistency seemed a bit too thick (trying to sip it through the straw was close to moderate breathing exercise!). I did appreciate the paper "green" straws - great attempt to sustainability and environment protection! Overall, I would rate it a bit better than a chain store, but some improvement has to be made on how they make their coffees/other drinks.

If I wanted to assemble my own salmon lox bagel I would've eaten at home. Inconvenient

The vibe was good, the service wasn't lacking... ... But the coffee was awful. Hence the two stars, as that was the whole point of the visit. I really wanted that coffee. The baby was fussy, the toddler going non stop; I wanted to stick my coffee in between putting out fires and enjoy it. I could not. Out of something akin to desperation, I drank as much as I could, but I absolutely hated every sip, and I couldn't finish it. McDonald's next time???

The closing hour listed for today was 6pm. The front door displayed a sign that said "open," however, The Coffee Roasters was closed when I visited around 5pm.

A moment ago I am a Amazon delivery driver. The older Spanish lady was nice enough to let me use the restrooms on my lunch, but couldn't give me a cup of ice in this summer heat. I hop in and out this van over 100 times in over 100 degree weather and she couldn't give me a cup of ice without paying for a cup. Please get some cheap disposable cups. Never coming here for anything. Great job running a business. Went across the street to Creekside pizza and they happily gave me a cup of Ice. This place is trash, give your business to good people instead.
