The service is great and there's always something new and different going on there. Such as Live Music, Sports Events, Food Venders Events and more. The Bartenders are friendly and fun to be around. I’ve known the Jesse for years and enjoy going to both of his Establishments, Bentley’s Beer Garden and Bentley’s on Broadway. EJ is always there to ensure the atmosphere welcoming and safe.

We have a great time every time we come here. Awesome laid back environment, great day drinking spot. DJ is always good playing a little of everything. Food isn’t that great but the bar is!

1st time hanging out at this spot..went for a friends bday celebration. I must say it was definitely a chill and laid back environment. Everybody seem to be having a good time. My fav part was the blue hawaiian drink (frozen!) . I had about 10 🥴. Great time definitely going back again.

I frequent this place a lot for the vibe, the people, the activities the food and definitely the drinks at the best price in town. The service is great and there's always something new and different going on there. The owner is down to earth and a genuinely nice human. It's always great to support local businesses when they're run by good people. The atmosphere is always welcoming it’s the place you want to be to just sit down and chill.

Fun atmosphere. We went for an early evening and the weather was perfect to be outdoors. Lots of different people having fun while safely distancing and being respectful. All with an upbeat DJ for the background! Cold beer, good prices, friendly service!

Celebrated my family's 25-year wedding anniversary here. They played the Canelo fight up on stage as well as multiple TVs across the venue. In the hallway where the restrooms are located had a small bar and honestly had way better music than what was playing outside. We ended up leaving because the music just wasn't popping enough. We were the only people on the Dance Floor and it was about 11:30 p.m.

First time coming here and it was awesome! The music was good,I like reggaeton and latin music,so we had a lot of that going on. The bartender i had was nice and attentive,gave me water,checking that i wasn't doing too much. It felt nice having home look out like that (last name was with a G,shout out to you,you were awesome) They have hookahs! Lol. And a food truck out right in the front. Not regular security but actual cops,that's a plus for me...the whole place was chill and just a good vibe,you can dance and eat. Dress code was casual,nothing fancy. Plus they got other surrounding bars around there,but Bentleys was just cool to be at.

i am so freakin thankful when i told them i couldn’t overheat due to my lupus. they went above and before so that i could experience living in the moment. sooo grateful for y’all. i’ll be back!

The best hangout spot in San Antonio!! Literally!! The entire outdoor bar is lined with sturdy wooden swings. Which is great for the people that want to sit back, have a beer and engage is great conversation. There is also another fun area with tables surrounded with colorful hammocks! How cool?! Totally an Instagram hot spot. Lots of space and tables for large and small groups! Bar staff were great and always friendly. Place remained clean the entire night and music was fantastic! Our group had a blast and will definitely be back!

Went here this past Saturday for my daughters 21st birthday the server Joe greeted us immediately very nice respectful guy, my wife called him “papi” he recommended the perfect drink for my daughter and the whole family had a great experience will def. be back. The music, food and drinks were good not pricey at all, Joe did amazing will definitely recommend him to serve us next time!

Such a fun bar!! They have a huge outdoor area with a screen tv. There’s swings surround the bar. The fans were going it was nice out with a breeze. Sitting in the swings was heavenly I could’ve drank their all day. Staff and patrons were friendly. Overall a great spot!

After we stumbled out of Roadmap, we saw their sign outside and figured we should add them to our crawl. It has a thick party atmosphere to it, with swings for barstools and ample room for a lot of people. Reminds me of an outside Puerto Rican or Cuban club you'd find in Miami. As soon as I walked in, I could feel the party vibes. It has a big dance area, and a large stage for bands and DJs. There was a food truck, but we didn't peek in on it. Both our bartenders were really cool and talkative. Maaaan, I bet this place gets wild at night. We did feel a little confused, though. When you see a sign saying "beer garden," all other factors considered, you know there's going to be at least one thing you enjoy, regardless. However, I'm not quite sure I'd call this a beer garden. They had no taps! Like zero! I spoke to the bartender and he said they were planning on putting in a 16-tap area in the back, but that it was still under construction. For us, as beer connoisseurs (pinky in the air whilst I down my Martin House), I felt I could get their selection just about anywhere in town - but clearly there's a lot more going on here than beer. If I were young again and looking for adventure, I could definitely see us coming here more often. I was going to give them 4 stars for misleading me on their craft selection, but I'm going to bump them up to 5 for showing me a new mingle location, if I'm ever down for that sort of thing in the future.

I love this place! The girls and I always hit this place up on Friday and Saturdays to dance. They play a mix of hip hop, cumbia, bachata with a DJs mix. Bartenders are nice but lines can get long on really busy nights. Worth the wait tho.

We had such a great time and amazing service here. I'm regretting not getting our bartenders name's! But man, we had such a great time. So many different beer and spirits are available here. There's no longer a kitchen but, the food truck has many choices for snacking or filling you up! TV's all over showing all your favorite sports events and more! There is security there early just in case 😆 My wife and family frequent this place often and have never had bad service or negative energy while visiting. I recommend coming and enjoying this outdoor, fan cooled, swing sitting beer garden very highly! 👍

Come out and chill with your friends! This is the newest beer garden in the city! There's cornhole for the competitive (not currently due to Covid restrictions), swing chairs at the bar and hammock chairs to kick back and relax. There are two bars, one outdoor and one indoor. Food is served by a full kitchen! I had the opportunity to taste the brisket tacos. They are delicious! The bartenders and staff are super friendly and fast to serve drinks! Come on out and check out the newest gem in SA!

Great atmosphere, friendly bartenders who are knowledgeable about the city itself, good food and cold beer. The only reason i didnt give 5 stars was because 🌟 the ribs were a little overcooked. It made the outer layer of meat a little tough but it was like eating the best jerkey you have ever had! TRY THE BRISKET WITH BBQ SAUCE!

My wife and I stopped by last Saturday evening...super nice setup with the swing style chairs around the outside bar there were even fans and TVs around the bar. DJ sounded great. There was a food truck right outside the fence. Great atmosphere... the only down fall was the beer was warm, they have small refrigerators at the outside bar with the afternoon sun shining right on the bar and the refrigerator doors being opened and held open its hard to get the beer cold. I would invest in some Ice Boxes to keep beer in. I will still recommend Bentley's to by friends and family. I will definitely be a back.

Very nice downtown bar. The band playing, Smokewagon was outstanding last Friday. I was impressed with the level of security. The available of parking is a challenge. You must park in the lot across the street that requires you to only pay with a cellphone. The parking is $5.00, but there website adds a $0.90 fee. It looks like they have future plans to offer food.

The bartenders were nice and efficient. However, we spent quite a bit of time standing in line waiting for drinks. They should've had more bartenders for the number of customers they had. Other than that, I enjoyed myself.

Had a fantastic time. Jazz show was beyond excellent. Shouldn't really be called a beer garden, not a great selection of beer. But the service and atmosphere make it a fun, must place to go. Food was supplied by a food truck.

I went in the late afternoon on Saturday presumably before the rush. Polite and very efficient staff, cool swing seats, cold beer and effective fans that kept the heat down. DJ was good, played a broad range of stuff. I’m not sure how the evenings pan out but the bouncers are armed and in full tactical gear. I have no objections, but if you’re sensitive to that kind of thing it’s good to know. Overall a fun afternoon stop.

We went this past weekend and the music was great! We got there by 9:30 and there was plenty of room to dance. It gets pack by 11:30 but we had a great time. DJ played variety of music. The food was good too and they have many drink options.

I love it here. I absolutely love attending when DJ Eazy is entertaining. But I do like the other DJ as well, i just wish he would mix it up more , he plays more Latin/Mexican music back to back for a long time while other DJs mix it up. I love Latin/mexican music but i like to hear a variety of everything! Mix it up!

You would think a place called a beer garden would have a large selection of beers. Well, they don't. On the plus side, they are cigar-friendly and had a great band playing the evening we went. The wait staff seemed short-handed, but that is happening everywhere lately. I guess the place gets sketchy at night due to security having to pat down and search everyone before they enter.

It's texas sooo of course it's fing hot!!!! But I love this stage!!! The sound is awesome! Dance floor perfect size. Bathrooms umm..... Port o poties... UPDATE: Cleanest I have ever seen at a public place. idk if they had just cleaned them or what but was better than some bathrooms at bars. We do need trashcan by both hand washing stations though. Bartenders awesome! It's just the set up for me maybe. It's just too hot in texas sometimes to be out here. But overall good place just so hot sometimes and the fans were off... so double hot on a day that was 100 degrees outside at 8:50pm.

Thought this was a bar and grill but it’s mostly a bar. Nice outdoor venue. Good brisket tacos. However, there were police/security in body armor frisking people as they came in… at 7 pm. So probably won’t be bringing the family back here. :-)

A pretty cool place to sit and have Drink. Prices are really good but selection on drinks is limited. The bathrooms are not working or under construction, so porta potties are available. Atmosphere at night does drastically change and music gets louder.

Pros: It’s a great atmosphere and very much needed in the area! Cons: Very understaffed waited 10 minutes to be served even sitting at the outside bar. I totally get it’s new and working out the kinks but watch others being ignored while some of bartenders carried on conversations with their friends. They had to walk to another part of the bar to be helped. Giving a three stars just based on the customer service! Just saying if it’s new should be on point!

I wouldn't call this place a beer garden by any stretch when your only beer offerings are some cans of bud light, miller light etc. and a couple of "craft" brews. I can get more variety at my local heb. They do have a full bar setup so that's cool, but I went there thinking they would have a nice selection of beer. The patio and bar area is great, looks like a work in progress, but they have lots of picnic tables to spread out, there are actual swings at the bar for relaxing which are awesome, but the club music they were playing didn't really fit the chill outdoor vibe it seems like they are trying to create. Not sure that I will be back anytime soon.

Roadmap Brewery across the street is better if you want beer and better experience. This isn’t really a beer garden unless you really want a can of beer. My first drink was weak. Vodka cran. I ordered a cider the second time and the bartender didn’t even ask me what flavor I wanted. There were several flavor in the fridge that I could see but rather then reading them to me he just handed me one assuming that’s what I wanted. The BF and I went to hang out by the hammocks only to be disturbed by chainsaws on the establishment on a Saturday evening... I will give Bentley this. There atmosphere is really cool. It’s too bad the rest doesn’t live up to expectations. See my review on Roadmap on my recommendations.

Normally a nice place to go but this time it was just way too crowded lines were too long bartender not friendly music was COMPLETELY AND TOTALLY focused on one genre only and while I have no problem with it in general I like a variety of different types of music so they really should have switched it up it was so bad that we sucked down our drinks and left 🙄

The layout of this place is stellar BUT the music is unnecessarily blasting at decibels that are literally an occupational hazard for those working here. As for trying to talk to someone sitting immediately next to you, the only way to hear them is to shout directly into their EAR 👂 There’s absolutely nothing enjoyable about having the volume at these levels. Btw I listen to metal and trust I enjoy fast and loud but this really is irresponsible. Note 101db was at one of the lower levels

Got there early for the show.. drank a few cold ones then was told we were sitting in a “reserved” table.. line for drinks super long n this place is really not set up for concerts.. scattered buildings, long lines for drinks, couldn’t see the band… not a good venue

So much door security will tell you all you need to know about the types of clientele they're used to getting. It's a great sports bar, good number of TVs, and good music. Increased individual awareness is required but it's a good spot nonetheless.

I was having a good time until I was forced to leave by the security who claimed I was smoking a blunt but was literally smoking my Escobar. The security guards came and grabbed my hands behind my back twisting my wrist causing pain and when I asked why didn’t they just ask me to leave instead of cussing at me and pushing me out they just said to get tf out. As soon as I got out of the gated area the female cop said hurry tf up and cross the street to which I replied saying I am waiting for my friends and there are cars crossing so why would I cross the road and risk getting hit by a car. The security could have handled this professionally rather than making a scene.

The security at the front door were so disrespectful and unprofessional. It sucks because I really enjoyed the atmosphere the first time I visited this place. But after the last time I don't think we will be coming back..

Typically don’t write reviews but the no sagging, no durags, and no wave cap signs throughout the establishment radiated with anti-blackness. I might respect you more if you had signs from the 50’s saying “No Colored’s”. By no means am I advocating for sagging and/or public use of durags/wave caps, but unfortunately these are mostly characteristics of African Americans. Anyways, drink selection wasn’t even that good. A whole beer garden with only 4 drinks on tap (1 in which was out). I understand policing the environment to avoid issues, fights, belligerence, etc. But I advise that your “policies” not be rooted in racial undertones. It’s distasteful.

I invited my friends to this bar after so many great experiences. They had never been there before, and ordered a drink. My friend handed the bartender MAXINE his card and waited for his drink. MAXINE handed him his drink and asked for his card. Confused, my friend stated, “I just gave you my card?” MAXINE, in an extremely rude tone responded, “No you didn’t, I have a way of doing things. I usually swipe the card right away and give it back.” Keep in mind, multiple of us saw the exchange where my friend handed her the card. When confronted, she said, “It’s not a big deal, just cancel the card.” Umm… what??? What world are you living in MAXINE? That is such an inconvenience. A simple apology and sincere response would’ve gone a long way. Later, I approached a security guard about the situation because we were upset at how we were approached, the manager saw, and kicked out our ENTIRE group. All for what??? We didn’t do anything wrong. We got kicked out of a bar and had to cancel our card… My friends and I will never be coming to this bar again. I have never been treated so poorly. The staff is extremely unprofessional and disrespectful. La Roca next door is great though.

This place looks so nice from the outside but hold on! Think twice before opening the door at the opening time because you will be treated awful and the waitress will tell you that you can't enter or make a question or anything. I was trying to be polite and patient with her but it was pointless, her phone call was a lot more important than two customers. Please update your business hours.

Would love to leave 1/2 star but 1 star was my best option. I would rather be an Alter Boy again then wait in line at this establishment. Denied entry because of racist search policies. Didn’t search a single white woman but decided to search the only POC woman we were with. Found a small mini bottle only to be thrown out and denied entry indefinitely. 20 of us left and took our money with us. AVOID this place. Over priced and racist. Will not return… Security is armed like they’re in a war zone. Literally wore less in an actual combat zone than some “Meal Team Six” fat security guard who wants to act tough.

Not sure how they scored the DJ here. DJ Lucky sucked. This dude played his Playlist. I think his Spanish was personal rather than for the people. I enjoy this place but if he's here, we won't be.

Ran out of the place twice by what seemed to be the hostess. First because we were 5 mins early, then 10 mins after opening time because "gate was closed". Lady was on the phone throughout second encounter and did not even stop her phone conversation to tell us to leave, lol, that was ridiculous. We went across the street to pick up food from Project Pollo. Their gate stayed closed for another 30 minutes. They should update hours of operations or at least train staff in better customer service.

This place was cool a few years ago. Went in about a month or two ago, stood in line for drinks, group of men in front of us were served with pleasantries. As soon as I walked up, the bartender walked away to talk to a group of people, completely ignored me so I left. Tried to go again on a Sunday, got one drink and dipped. It’s obvious I’m not a part of their “targeted demographic” but I felt very uncomfortable and out of place. Not for me.

The waitresses are rude and disrespectful. After completely getting my food order wrong and questioning the waitress she exchange negative comments and called security to try and throw me out. 12 security/staff guys ran to my table to ask what my problem was. When I showed them my receipt and my plates they told me that the waitress said something totally different. Yes she commented with a negative name and when I said the same she tried to have me thrown out. I'm sorry but I'm a professional female who lives downtown and has more class than that. I was totally embarrassed by the situation and needless to say they are over priced and rude. I enjoy the music because all the deejays are personal friends of mine. But i personally despise the young rude staff members and the dozen security staff members who were so quick to TRY and throw me out over a food order that was incorrect. Bad service over priced! Never again!

I wouldn’t come here again. They’re super strict on what you wear stating they’re a “Christian” place. My friend went wearing a crop top and jeans, they let her in for 3 hours with no problem but right when they were closing they all of a sudden decided to kick her out.

I came here bar hopping with some friends. First starting at La Roca, then we came to Bentley’s. I was wearing cotton type shorts that cupped my butt, fishnets, and a white blouse, they told me I needed to find something to cover my booty because the owners were too conservative for my outfit. Neither my butt or breasts were showing. So I left and went to Lucky Duck instead. I’ve seen pictures on their facebook of people dressed worse than my outfit was so I honestly think they pick and choose who they want in there and what they want to allow with no set rules. Place is trash. Mind you, this was only my second time at Bentleys and I will not be returning.

We thought this would be an all ages place given they serve food but it's not and the security guard pointed to a food truck out front so none of the food is even made by the beer garden apparently. Do not expect to be able to take a backpack style purse in, I have a mini backpack for a purse and was told it was not allowed. They will check your bags and pat you down. All of that being said I wouldn't come back even if I did have a party of people all over 21. It just gives off a bad vibe if they're so meticulous about bags. We were told it was because people could try and sneak alcohol out 🙄 that seems highly unlikely so that tells me that many shady characters are around this area and it's probably not a good place to go if you want to relax and enjoy some drinks.

We got kicked out of the bar because the security didn't understand spanish, and he thought we were telling him something. We were sitting in a table, and some guys tried kicking us out of the table. We told the security we paid had paid for the for the table. He started pushing us, going off on and screaming racial slurs. We tried to walk out, and they kept on pushing us and ended up pepper spraying us as we were walking out. The way things were handled on the end of the location was by far unprofessional. The manager was also instigating the situation and provoking the situation by getting in our faces and screaming to us.

The place gets packed but unfortunately it's really starting to get ghetto to where fights and shootings are happening more often. Saw security slipping their friends out of the back of the line into the place on fight night just because they knew somebody. Coincidentally the employees helping their friends wear sweaters saying they know the owner too. These guys get in with no searches. Lot of people were smoking weed inside too, you could smell it from a whole area. Used to be a nice spot, now not so much.

I went to have fun night which it was done. I left 20 dollar tip for the bartender which was fair since it was only two drinks. When i check there was a additional charge of 50 dollars for a tip. I reached out to management and they could not help me at all. This bartender gave her self a 70 dollar tip for two drinks. I reported this at the bar and they have not refunded me back for this at all. So watch out for this scam they are doing.

This place should be shut down immediately!!!, They have regulars after 10:00pm who start fights the rent a cops that they have there will tolerate it and watch the fights like they enjoy it they will take a bit before escorting any of their regulars out and once you are right outside of the business you will get hit by their regulars. And they will watch and will not intervene see for yourself and Look at how long they will take to call SAPD. I will be showing the city THE VIDEO I HAVE ON THEM AND THEIR ESTABLISHMENT. NOW I CAN SEE WHY THE CITY HAD TO SHUT THEM DOWN. Actually they should show video of their establishment better yet their online already. AND THEY REOPENED IT. Try me check for yourself. Especially on Sundays. Make sure you park really close there to be prepared to leave. I wish people had a posting about this place. After having a horrible experience I see why all the people that live in condos who are doctors nurses etc will not go there. I pray that this place gets closed down once and for all. Came to hear music by Passing Strangers on 5/12 and the security guard woman had a very negative approach to people over 60+. Would not let us in because she said our eyes were red compromised (drunk) The SG needs training in "dry eye" that affects not one but all. We left but should have made a stink. However, if the club wants to hire her (that one tonight) and lose money, ok with us. 60+ individuals are what keeps these clubs going.

I have been contemplating adding this review but decided to add it anyway. I was at Bentleys beer garden with a group of friends after our Halloween bar crawl on Saturday, October 26th. They had a best Halloween costume contest. With 1st place at $300, 2nd place at $200, and third place at $100. Two from our party won 1st (Michael Phelps costume) and 2nd place (hospital patient). They waited for about two hours to try to get their prizes and kept getting the run around. The bartender, his name is Michael I believe and we were told he was part owner, gave them only $150 and said that is all he had. We complained but we got kicked out and received some nasty name calling and curses from the bartender. He had other altercations with customers that night as well that I witnessed when trying to get some water from the bar.

Really low rent crowd that unfortunately spills out into the other, nicer bars in the area. Once was enough.

Bartender KARINA got mad because i didn’t tip her on the card transaction and tipped in cash ($20). I work in the bar industry as well. Tried to kick us out because it didn’t show on card. So rude and unprofessional.

Filed a police report, I walked in. Order a beer and paid with a $50 bill. The bartender would return change for a $20. I would immediately tell her that I paid her with a $50 and she’s dead set that it was a $20. I tell her that I had two $50s and a few ones in my wallet, so I paid with one of the $50s. I request management and she proceeded by taking the cash drawer out to “check” it and then returned to only tell me the same thing. I paid with a $20, I ask for video camera footage because I paid with a $50. I get kicked out and called the non emergency number to file a police report.
