The only word to describe the sandwiches here is 'Beautiful'. In every way - taste, texture, sauce, meat, flavor, condiments, just beautiful. The Turkey Club S/W was a gastronomic surprise that came along with a delicious and soft cream filled roll and a fresh crunchy salad! And the coffee was the way great coffees should be not the watery excuse served in many many places around here. You will absolutely fall in love.

Trying to find a good breakfast/lunch place during the holidays before New Years and failed after driving to 2 closed restaurants. I decided to call this one before I started driving again, and it was open. For good reason. No regrets on the great find. It is located in The Oaks shopping plaza, relatively easy to find between Fredericksburg road and Wurzbach road, between A&M nails and Smoke N More. It shares the parking lot with the rest of the stores in the plaza but there is usually plenty of parking. Ordered the French Grilled Tuna sandwich w Croissant. Amazing! Came with a wonderfully prepared and presented small salad and a sweet pastry. The croissant is crispy on the outside and warm on the inside. The pastry was a cream puff that was very delicious. Such a good deal with everything included! Not a lot of store does that anymore bc it’s usually an added charge! Owner Duc is from Vietnam and has opened for over 30 years (since 1990), extremely friendly and with great customer service. Will definitely come back again when in the area to try out other dishes. Keep up the great work French Sanswiches!

I stumbled across this place while searching a place for lunch in the medical center area and it did not disappoint. The coffee, soup and sandwich tasted great and everything was freshly made-to-order. The staff was very friendly and I’ll definitely be going back if I find myself in that area again!

I wasn't blown away, but it's good. The sandwiches are pretty small. The pickles are tasty, but the sandwich felt like it was going for something "elegant" with the light portions and presentation, but it didn't really accomplish that for me. Although it tasted very good, I felt a little underwhelmed.

Cute and unpretentious place. Tried the chef's banh mi and it was delicious. Veggies were perfectly marinated and meats were super tasty. For 8.95, meal came with soup or salad and a small puff creamed pastry. The French onion soup was a tad bland for me. But I would definitely recommend this place.

Very good bread that is used on the banh mi. Light and flakey. I was very hungry and ordered “extra meat”. I’m not sure that was what I received as the sandwich itself was pretty light. The flavors are there, but the portion was rather small. Salad had a nice presentation.

Service is fast, but the food is at best OK. I ordered the bahn mi grilled pork sandwich as this seems to be the most popular menu item along with the French onion soup. The soup is literally just microwaved and tastes ok, nothing special tbh. The sandwich itself was also just ok. The bread was actually great and the veggies were fresh, but the pork was dry and the portion was mediocre. I came in with high expectations because of other reviews, but left pretty disappointed. There are a handful of restaurants serving up better bahn mi's in my opinion and at a better price range.

As you first walk in your greeted by a strong smell of seafood even though there's no seafood on the menu, then this location is very outdated and nothing French about it, the service was short and right to the point, when my wife and I got our sandwiches they looked identical and the lacked flavor, I would suggest going somewhere else.

Small quite little place. Asian couple run restaurant. English is a bit of a challenge for them. We ordered a special to eat there an done to go and they charged us the same price but it did not come with all the items it did when you eat it there. That was frustrating. $8.99 for a sandwich. I might go back. Clean, limited parking upfront.

7-28-2025: Tables and chairs were dirty while two employees in a corner on their phones doing nothing. No one was in the store at the time. Quality of food was not as good as I remembered it to be. When I asked for more tea the server said "YOU KNOW WE CLOSE AT 5" - (I still had plenty of time) he was actually a little rude. I was embarrassed as I took a friend there for the first time. I know she will not be back. I probably will not either.

French sandwiches is not the same it used to be with the old owners from a few years back. Food doesn’t taste the time. Costumer service went down. This last time we went the man rang me up and then went to start making my sandwich without any gloves ☹️ we came home and opened the soup and there was a hair curled up in the soup. We called and the man just said well we don’t have curly hair. We didn’t say it was curly we said it was curled up in the soup! No sorry just a “ well you can come back and get another soup” horrible costumer service. My husband and I started coming here 10 years ago and we were regulars. We would come all the time after my doctors apts. the little man would always come talk to us and the food was so good! Will never be returning here!

A young Asian guy working there is extremely Rude! I asked him for a drink several times & he just ignored me. After 15mins, I asked the older lady what the problem was? Finally, she brings my drink, but kept trying to skimp on the extra condiments I asked for. I had to keep asking for the same thing over & over! The one time I did order an Omelet, it was terrible. Used to like the Roast Beef Sandwich, but their SERVICE is so Terrible, I will never go back! It used to be good. Not anymore! They've gone Downhill! 👎

Won’t return again. French onion soup had decent flavor but the soggy bread was unpleasant. See pictures for amount of meat given in our sandwiches. You can pay for “extra meat” or “double meat” ($5) but even double meat would fall short of what you’d expect. Stick to zitos or sandwich de Paris.
