The Taco Place Birria

This place is so dang good! Came here 2 years ago or so and been coming back every time I come to San Antonio! Definitely recommend for Birria!!

We thoroughly enjoyed the Quesa-Tacos and Birria Pizza! My watermelon fresca with fruit and chamoy was perfect! Located in a food truck plaza. Service was fast. Prices are good.

If you want to be in Taco Heaven go to this place, you won't find any better tacos in town. Everything they offer is authentic Mexican food better than you could imagine. The salsa is handmade and tastes like a Doña made it right there in front of you. Their fresh juices are some of the best I've ever had. Straight up Mexican flavors right here in San Antonio. Skip the hassle of going to a restaurant and just come here and thank me later.

The BEST Birria tacos I have ever had. People were really nice and the environment was very inviting. Definitely returning...tacos from The Taco Place, desert from The Sweet Place. Very convenient side by side of each other. They also have a keto taco for those on a diet.

Holy moly delicious tacos!! Everything was fresh and delicious. Give them a visit. You won’t be disappointed.

I loved this place! I never tried Birra before the taco place and I was stupefied. So incredible. I only waited about 3-5 minutes and got so much for so little money. Their horchata was amazing as well. Would recommend to anyone wanting some tacos.

Best quesibirria tacos ever! Very flavorful tacos with all the right spices. I’ve had birria tacos elsewhere but they don’t compare to these. There are also tables and music, very nice.

Absolutely delicious- we got the birria pizza fills and split it! Service was excellent annd fast. Atmosphere was awesome even though it was a cold night! If I could give more stars I would!

The asada torta was the perfect balance of savory, tangy, and spicey with the delectable green salsa and lime I added to it. The melted cheese and frijoles de la oya on the torta made my taste buds explode with pure joy and delight. The mini tacos made the perfect appetizer to my torta and my girls and husband raved about their quesotaco, quesadilla, and taco plate. None of the food stood a chance. The birria was as good as my mom’s, and that’s saying a lot! And can we talk about the music and outdoor dining experience? 5/5 highly recommend! This was our first time here and it will not be our last!

My wife and I discovered The Taco Place on March, 2021 and have been eating there every few weeks since. The food is consistently good, clean (quality) and flavorful. My wife asked the owner a question or two about the consome and he replied “I love what I do” and it shows. The gentlemen then pointed at a table and said that was his family and kids and they were eating and said he treats all his customers like he was feeding his own family. Again the consistency and flavor of his food , always on point. Highly recommended.

The whole team of staff and owners consistently put out some of the best Birria tacos we’ve ever had. The Quesa tacos with Consome is our go-to. Crispy in the outside and filled with a generous portion of perfectly-seasoned meat. We’re so glad to have a food truck like this so close to our home.

This was the best authentic Mexican food I’ve had in Texas. I’ll definitely return when I’m in San Antonio. The customer service was fantastic, and the food was prepared quickly. The vampiro were so delicious that I had to come back and order more. The Birria pizza was also amazing. The taco plate was really good too. Everything was delicious. The prices were reasonable. To the guy in the white shirt with the baseball cap, I told you I was going to write a review because it was so good. I appreciate the hospitality.

Once up a time there was a little red taco truck, the best in west San Antonio Texas. Wait, it’s still the best! I visited today with my family and this place has a nice picnic vibe with other food trucks in the place. There was a Puerto Rico food truck and all the food looked delicious . Next time I will buying from the Puerto Rico food truck. This place also has a playground for kids and plenty of tables.

Yooooooooooooooo, this place is FANTASTIC. this is strictly outdoors so dress warm! They have a few fire places to warm it though. When I went there was 3 different food trucks. BBQ, mini pancake place and of course the Taco place Truck. Birria is usually so hit or miss for me but this was a HIT. So delicious and decent portions. Will be visiting again !!

However, this place serves birria de res only so here I am. I've noted long lines before but the time I went, I was lucky enough as there were only a few people in front of me. I got the taco plate so I can try more in one go. This includes 2 mini tacos, a queso taco, a choice of either mulita or vampiro and a cup (12oz) of consomme for $11. Well worth the price and had I been in a long queue, it would have been worth the wait as well. So they take your order, you can pay with cash or card and they give you a buzzer. Pick up your order when it buzzes, enjoy your food, easy peasy.

First time trying The Taco Place and it didn’t disappoint . I got 5 mini Taquitos of Birria with an Agua Fresca of Pineapple , super delicious . Just recommend they add more napkins due to the food being super juicy .

Once up a time there was a little red taco truck, the best in west San Antonio Texas. Wait, it’s still the best! The place was a little bit of a drive out of the city it’s in a cool little food truck park. we ordered the taco plate which came with two mini tacos, one birra taco and this mini crunchy quesadilla. It was pretty good. I wouldn’t say drive out there f the city for twenty five minutes special but if you’re in the area I would give them a try :)

Staff where pretty nice and since we don't know what we want they gave recommendation or surprised us with what they pick for us. Food: Worth it! So we ordered the Birria Pizza for $14 and it's already a big box for one person. I think this is for 2-4 people depends how much you can eat. Then the Mini taco or taco plate that it was so good as well. I preffered the Taco Plate cos I taste more the cilantro and other side dish. While for Birria Pizza it's so cheesy which I liked as well. Overall it's good experience and visit!

There were three orders ahead of us and we received our food in about 20 minutes. The tacos were flavorful, not too greasy, and hit the spot. Worth a visit.

It's very hot to eat outside, the service was very slow as they were busy that day. The tacos and melt that we ordered were good. I didn't like that they didn't offer a salsa that wasn't super spicy. The "dip" wasn't my cup of tea, but all in all it wasn't bad for a taco truck.

Taste is good. But the portion meat of meat in the quesotacos are disappointing every time. You’re better off going with their regular birria tacos. I took one bite, noticed nothing but cheese so I opened it up to check and pulled all the meat out.

I ordered a smash burger and the meat was not cooked all the way. They offer a new one but didn’t care to try it. Not a big fan for trying it for the first time.

Food is great however the time should be updated. I've come on several occasions and online it says OPEN but upon arrival its CLOSED! Came by today (FRIDAY) at 10:30 and it should of closed at 11 but not a single car in sight, everything is off! Disappointing.

Came with the family, Would like to say we really likes eating here, but the fact is - we couldn't even sit and stay to enjoy it. They have a DJ playing music obnoxiously loud. Far louder than makes any sense for the one food truck that is open and it makes it very difficult to order. You litterally have to yell to order. It just seems unnecessary and overly loud. We planned to stay and eat, but just decided to take our food and go due to the extremely loud music. Food was good, just wish we could have enjoyed it there hot and fresh.
