Stuft Pizza in San Clemente is known for its delicious, fresh pizza and friendly staff, especially Chris. The Stuft Special is a popular choice. Some find it pricey, but worth it for the quality. Service can be inconsistent depending on the staff.
Tip: Ask for the Stuft Special crispy. Be aware that prices can be high, especially for larger groups.

Pizza was amazing and the lady at the front was amazing, I told her I wanted a personal and I only had $10 and she still gave me the pizza. Pizza was crispy and the pepperoni was perfect. 10/10 would definitely come back !
Food was great! (love the stuffed sticks. Just an awesome cheesy bread). Servings are generous and with or without the kid it a blast. I go in during the weekday for a little grown cheese and beer while I read and on the weekend it's an awesome place to catch a game and brew while the kids run loose. It actually ruined Dominos and pizza hut for me lol, but in a great way.
Been there yesterday and hands down its one of the best pizza I have had in recent times.. Had taken Mae West vegetarian pizza and it was perfectly made. Wonderful staff and great hospitality. I am gonna go back quite often now.
This is the best pizza I've had since I was in Chicago. The place has been there forever and there's a good reason for it. The food is delicious
My son's band played here and this place is a perfect venue to accommodate young artist. Friendly enough for the parents to attend and enjoy as well 👍🏻👍🏻
We have eaten here many times. Great food, great service, easy parking. Their head chef has been there over 15 years. I would put his sauce up against anybody. We have been to Italy 4 times in 10 years. Fresh dough, fresh ingredients, fresh everything make this little place a must to for a fast meal at fair prices with generous portions. Everything is made from scratch while you wait. Thx s.c. and c.
We had the Stuft special, pepperoni pizza , cheese pizza and cheese sticks😍👌🏼 and I have to say it was DELICIOUS. They kids loved it and even loved the crust! Will definitely be coming for more ❤️ great staff!
We've been coming to this place off and on for 15 years or so. We stop over on our way up to LA from San Diego. It's a great midway stop and we always enjoy their pizza and the atmosphere. Staff have been welcoming, polite, and inviting.
This hidden gem has the best pizza ever! With my first bite I was in heaven. The crust was thick, yet light and airy and it had just the right balance of sauce, cheeses and other fresh ingredients to give you a really great pizza!
Delicious pizza and great service! Pleasantly surprised with the quality of ingredients that were used! Super super tasty and great staff! Can’t recommend this place enough!
I have no idea why this place was empty on a Friday evening, but the service was great and the food was delicious! I had gotten a calzone and asked for lots of pineapple and they did not skimp at all! They pay close attention and care about the product they serve which I appreciated. I will be back!
I had the Stuft Special and the Pepperoni Large. Customer service was friendly and had a hometown pizzeria vibe. The pizza was great. Sauce was flavorful, crust was cooked to my liking all the ingredients tasted great. I was very delighted. The soda was bubbly and cold crisp. They had a little arcade that the kids were able to play with. Bathroom was clean and stocked. I did notice they had wall outlets for personal phone charging at all the booths with 2 usb outlets each. Thats a nice little touch.
BEST PIZZA I've had in a long time (especially in socal)! Snacked on my leftovers later and they were STILL divine without needing to be warmed up. Arcade games available and looks like they might do an open mic night or something of the like. If you're a local, check them out and essssspresssss yo'self! It's in a parking lot but def worth the visit. The girl who rang me up was really nice and helpful also.
Just moved to San Clemente, and found this place by accident. Wonderful pizza with a nice crust. Wife and kids enjoyed it. Have done both dine in and take out now.
I really love the pizza here. The dough is amazing there's a ton of toppings. The staff is friendly and the place looks well kept, if a little dark. The price is reasonable and you can taste the quality in the first bite.
This is definitely a fun place. I bet it’s really fun in the evenings. I happen to stop by for lunch and I had to order the supreme and otherwise known as the stuffed special, delicious peppers, onions tomatoes, all fresh, throwing some pepperoni and sausage and the perfect size crust and I got the 13 inch which I can tell you is definitely more than enough for me, but I still managed to eat most of it lol because as we all know, there’s always room for one more slice seating is comfortable parking is abundant and they are extremely friendly. There are a lot of things to try. I recommend coming here and checking out the appetizers. Everything for the pepperoni rolls to the combination platter. I will bet you anything you’re gonna enjoy all of the items here because it’s delicious.
I have tried most of the pizza spots in and around San Clemente including Pizza Port and San Clemente Pizza Co. And I've gotta say this is the absolute best. I am very critical of pizza but this place never dissapoints. The vibe inside is great, the staff are friendly and welcoming and the restaurant has this homey feel to it. As for the pizza it is spectacular, the portions are big and they make it just how you like it. I asked for a thicker crust with a little char and they are the one spot in all of socal who can actually deliver on that. The pricing is a little higher than your typical pizza spot but I'm telling you it's worth it. As someone who's pretty much tried everything at this point, I 100% reccomend, you will no doubt find yourself coming back for more.
Owners are the sweetest and food is made fresh and delicious. Will definitely be making this a new favorite spot ♡
Great food, drinks, service, and setting, and won't break the bank!!!
Margeritta pizza is just delicious. I love it.. Easy to digest.

Very testy pizza with a great welcoming staff
Great service great employees neat and delicious food here don't miss it 😋 wow
A special treat / special occasion versus a daily bite on the fly. People on a budget -- not recommended DINE IN Restroom available Cold Beers #1 Stuft Special - ask for crispy $65-70 for 3 people seems high but worth the cost as the ingredients and preparation was high quality . Amazing pizza and the best of all locations to date: the other locations La Quinta / Palm Springs area
I've been coming here for about 30 years. Love my pizza. Chris was awesome and very funny. Can't wait to go back again. I highly recommend this place. It is under going some up grades but that doesn't take away from the food or great service. Good luck Chris.
Absolutely Delicious! Stuft Pizza never disappoints! The crust is perfectly baked—crispy on the outside and soft inside and the toppings are always fresh and flavorful. I love how generous they are with the cheese and sauce; every bite is packed with taste. The staff is friendly, and service is quick, even when they’re busy. It’s the perfect spot whether you’re grabbing a casual lunch or having a cozy dinner with friends. Definitely try their Stuft Special it’s a must have!

Stuft was the pizza of my childhood, going and playing the one arcade game or the pinball machine in the back corner of the Dana Point location is quite nostalgic for me! this is the first time i had been to the San Clemente location and it was like the Dana Point location on steroids! While I skipped the arcade games this time, the pizza was just the same as i remembered it, a nice quality slice with my favorite sauce and crust! There might be better options, but for me i will always default to Stuft!
Always nice and friendly staff. Good pizza and great lunch specials. It's almost always chilly inside, so bring your hoodie. Needs a little ambiance, but a good spot for kids.
Went on A Friday about 5:30 place was mostly empty besides a group of golfers and some high school kids. Ordered 2 sandwiches staff was friendly. Waited about 10 minutes and staff came out to say they were out of roast beef for one sandwich , no biggie add extra salami. Don't know what happened but we were literally there for 25 minutes waiting for sandwiches. One was supposed to be hot but I don't think they both were supposed to be hot. Anyways they both came out hot. My sandwich was AH-MAZING!!!!!! SO GOOD AND THE PRICE WAS GREAT. Hubs sandwich was severely lacking the meats but he still said it really tasted good.. Overall I'd so go back to San Clam just to eat the chicken sandwich. BUT I would definitely call ahead to order.
I had a great experience at Stuft Pizza in San Clemente! The pizza was absolutely delicious — you could really taste the freshness in every bite. They make everything from scratch, including the dough, which makes a big difference. The staff was super friendly and welcoming. I highly recommend giving this place a try if you’re looking for quality, handmade pizza with a great vibe.
Pros: -walking distance to holiday inn express if you need a bite to eat -pretty good prices -good portions on food and beer -good beer selection Cons: -they only have one bathroom -didn't give my friend a fork with her to go order
Great pizza! We got the Woody’s Favorite. Flavorful, thick crust, and the right amount of toppings. San Clemente local approved

Food was amazing! The front staff, on the other hand, has no idea how bad they are. DO NOT special order. I happened to do so and they messed it up. After going to the counter, I had to wait 5 minutes to get the attention of 1 of the 2 ladies working to fix the order. It took them 10 minutes to put a layer of chicken (which was micro-waved) onto my pizza and bring it out to me. How they made it taste good is beyond me, but if you like the struggle of dealing with bad service it may be worth your wait.
I like the thickness of the pizza but I didn't think that pizza sauce was that great. The girl at the counter and or cashier was really nice. she was very helpful. She had dark hair and a very nice smile and pleasant to talk to.
I finally had time to review this restaurant. I went in for a takeout order, and the first thing I noticed was that the menu had no prices listed. For someone introverted like me, that’s pretty uncomfortable, you either have to ask or take your chances. I’ve seen this place a few times after work and decided to finally give it a try. I ordered an extra-large vegetarian pizza (see photo), and to my surprise, it came out to $50 before the staff discount, which was quite shocking. That being said, the taste was great, and the pizza itself was delicious. Unfortunately, because of the high prices, I probably won’t be stopping by again.
Came here because I read in another review that they had a decent selection of beer.... I guess my definition of "decent selection" is wrong, because they 7 beers on tap, 3 different bottle selections, and a couple white and red wines. Buffalo Wild Wings has like 20+ on tap... That's what I call decent. If you are looking for "decent selection" of beer, this is not the place. I don't fault the place, more so the person who reviewed the place... SMH.

Service is the star at this rather worn looking pizza joint. From start to finish, the gentleman who runs this restaurant (the owner perhaps) took good care of us. He got us set up, checked in, and the pizza came out fast. The pie itself was fine. Reasonable prices and good toppings. Nothing great, but not bad. The dining area is a bit odd. Half of the seating area was closed off, the game machines were unplugged, and the place had an overall tired feel. I would not rush back, but id someone suggested Stuft I wouldn’t object.

The pizza is fine but the delivery service sucks. Our guy called us and said he was out front and I spent 15 minutes looking for him, only to find him basically in the bushes on the side of the building. It's not that difficult.
Not a fan. Pricey for what you get. Service and quality is inconsistent. If you like New York style Pizza go to LaRocco's instead. If you like Chicago style deep dish consider Izza's or Selmas.
Total joke ! Monday night November 1st, at 7:30pm, ordered the Stuft special, pepperoni, sausage, mushroom, Tomato, red onion, bell pepper, large pizza and added a sauce of basil pesto sauce for about 31.00 through door dash. Instead We got a pesto cheese pizza. We called door dash immediately and they said oh sorry they said stuft pizza said they are closing so you’re out of luck. I know they close at 9:pm and and we got our pizza about 8:10pm. Then we called Stuft pizza Immediately, San Clemente, Where we ordered and they refused to answer. There was a voice message saying we close at 9:pm but no one would answer our call at 8:18! Not happy and still hungry !
Have been buying pizza for more than 15 years from this place but will not be back after today. The pizza was burnt, there wasn’t any cheese on it and the olives were spoilt. If it was a five dollar Dominos pizza, I wouldn’t gripe, but this was a thirty dollar pizza. Spoke to the manager, he wasnt interested in my complaints. Wow, no appreciation for loyalty. I’ve had Dominos pizza that have been better. To the owner-seriously-you expect me to spend another 30dollars to prove that you do have a standard for good pizza? Why don’t you prove it and deliver a pizza that is up to standard and put YOUR MONEY behind your words.
I purchased a "Groupon" coupon for Stuft and went in to use it prior to the expiration date only to be told it was not accepted because they are under new management. So what? They are still using the Good Will name of Stuft pizza. Since the pizzas I was ordering were for a large church group, they did not get their pizza from Stuft and the word was spread that Stuft is not dependable now under new management Too many good pizza places in San Clemente to go to anyway: Selmas, Blaze. I will forever stay away from Stuft. I got cheated at a very bad time.
This place used to be five stars!!!!! Wow--it sure went downhill fast... 😱 The owner (Alina), is a terrible person. I have been coming here for 15 years and it was my favorite pizza... Today was a completely different experience. Lately I've noticed that my cheese has not been completely melted and the pepperoni not cooked (not crispy)--other ingredients tasted like they were not receiving much heat from the oven either. The crust edges were perfect though! So when I order this time, I very specifically asked the cashier if she could have them cover the crust edges after its regular cooking time and then let it cook for another 5 to 10 minutes more so that it would be completely done. I even was so specific as to say about having the pepperoni "crispy". She said "yes, no problem " I ordered the pizza over the phone and came to pick it up in 25 minutes when it would be finished. When I arrived, it was raw. She also did not explain to me that they do not have a deep dish for extra large, so I was very disappointed when I saw that it was a thin crust. This was just before 8:45 (they close at nine), and the cashier offered to remake it for me with a thick crust. Then I made the mistake of offering to take the pizza for a discounted price, since I hate to see food wasted. So she called the owner, Alina who proceeded to argue with me and also talk with the cashier for an extended period of time about the issues. So, instead of just having a simple solution with great customer service, the owner gave me the choice to take the (now cold) failed pizza and "pay full price for it or to leave". While I was on speakerphone with her there, she THREATENED TO CALL THE POLICE!!! So ridiculous. I chose to go to Papa Johns and get a much better quality pizza. R.I.P. Stuft Pizza 😢
I have never left a bad review in my life, and I always assume people deserve the benefit of the doubt. But the only thing NOT bad about this place was the food. The pizza was fine. Not extraordinarily good. Not amazing. But fine. With that being said, the service was poor. The person taking the orders barely knew how to take an order, so its not a shock that the orders mostly came back wrong. The people running the food to the tables had no idea where the food they were carrying was supposed to go. So they kept hopping from table to table to see who would take the food. And then to top it all off...... If you feel like spending $30 dollars on a medium pizza that at most other places would be half of that. Knock yourself out. But, if you dont want to feel robbed by a place with poor atmosphere, expensive drinks, and outrageously priced mediocre pizza, then stay away.
HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE. We didn’t even get to eat the pizza we ordered after waiting 45 minutes! The place was empty when we came in. The atmosphere sucks. My girlfriend got stuck in the bathroom for 15 minutes from the jammed dooors. We just got up and left.
Spent over $83 via GrubHub because we aren't from the area and decided to try something close to our hotel. We got one large cheese pizza, one medium chef special pizza, and the appetizer combo. The food was late. Nothing was hot despite making us wait. People who came in after us to eat in got pizza before us. Appetizer combo was horrible. The potato wedges were somehow both undercooked and had burnt edges. The jalapeño poppers were coated in a clumpy thick breading and tasted like frozen crap. The wings were mediocre. The pizza was fine. Nothing to write home about. The real kicker here was the service. When we were told the food wasn't ready yet. I said "no problem, we can wait" and the young waitress said "they said 8 minutes". 20 min later we finally get our food after getting about 10 scowls from the older woman behind the counter. She then asked if I wanted ketchup or ranch, she said "ugh, I can give you one of each but that's it" with an eye roll. Mind you, I just paid $83 for two pizzas and a small app combo. I just said "that's fine, thank you" and got a tiny cup of each. We said "thank you" again and left.
Ordered a small pizza, half pineapple,,& Canadian bacon,,half pepperoni, & sausage, it comes to the table, the lady who brings it says , it's my fault? Oh really, Maybe the girl who placed the order , who was new, messed it up? But yeah your right! It's my fault! No it's your fault you lost a customer, for being rude! I'll go the one in Dana point..
Do not come here when Tuesdays or Thursdays when only the younger manager is working. It’s not like when the Beviers owned it. These children can barely make a pizza at all without calling the owner.
Pizza is terrible you would expect better quality indriednts in a higher rent district near the San Clemente Pier but this place need to improve the flavoring in their pizza mozzarella tasted old the crust had a very dull taste. The sauce was average at best.. I should have known when I walked in this place was not full with clients.
