Great spot, absolutely gorgeous. Spent half the day here enjoying the location and the spot. Service was on point and on time. Great drinks, fresh food. Absolutely loved it. I wish we could spend more time or another day here. Highly recommend it.
10/10 – A Must Visit! Blue Bayou has been on my bucket list for a while, and it absolutely did not disappoint! From the moment we arrived, everything was incredible. The views are breathtaking, the food is out of this world, and the whole vibe is exactly what you hope for when visiting Belize. The DJ was amazing and really set the perfect atmosphere, and the staff were so friendly and attentive. I honestly could have stayed there all day just soaking it all in. Quick tip: When you get to Secret Beach, you’ll first see another restaurant with tables in the wate, that is not Blue Bayou. Keep driving a little further and you’ll see the Blue Bayou sign.
We had an absolutely fantastic experience dining at Blue Bayou last night, arriving just before sunset—the perfect time! The atmosphere is truly unique and relaxing; we loved the feeling of having dinner right over the water. It’s definitely a vibe you won't find anywhere else on the island. For our group of four, we ordered the Seafood Platter, and it was exceptional. Everything was cooked perfectly, especially the whole lobster, whole snapper, shrimp, and conch. A perfect taste of Belizean fresh seafood! The service was top-notch. Our server was incredibly attentive, funny, and provided great recommendations for drinks. The food arrived quickly, which was impressive considering the size of our order. Highly Recommended Tip: I strongly suggest getting there before sunset to enjoy the colorful views as the restaurant closes shortly after dark. I bet the daytime vibe is also incredible. Do not miss this place during your trip to San Pedro!
Blue Bay is a once in a lifetime, one of a kind experience! You are literally seated in the water while dining. Yes there are live red snapper and small bonefish swimming around however it is totally safe. Nothing bothers you. It is just an awesome experience. The food is good. The staff is attentive and the drinks are refreshing.
Definitely a vibe place, get a table early because its packed. DJ when we went was dropping fire bangers all day long. My wife said she had the best grilled whole fish ever. The sauce was unbelievable! Burritos were big
I chilled with the owner ,she has a very interesting story about the place. It’s definitely worth going. The food was good, and watching the fish swimming around you while you eat is a unique experience. Highly recommend.
A must that you visit. The food was amazing and fresh. We enjoyed sitting on the tables in the crystal clear, aqua-blue water. There were plenty of fish swimming around, and besides the occasional brush up against my legs, they didn't bother me. We got a massage for 45 minutes and it was so relaxing. Everything was reasonably priced, and the staff were so friendly and welcoming. I'll definitely return.
Coolest atmosphere! Tables in the water, and servers come up to you. Our table didn’t have an umbrella at first, but they got us one right away. It was quite busy as the afternoon went on, so we were thankful we had a seat. Food was good and fairly quick. I enjoyed it and wouldn’t hesitate to go back if back in town.
Must visit at the Secret Beach. The road to it is a but dicey, but follow the signs, and it will definitely be worth it. Some of the best, friendliest service in San Pedro. You can dine at tables in the clear waters of Belize while enjoying a cocktail or island food. You can rent a floatie from Jovan and you can float in the water while enjoying the sun or a drink. The shops here are off the grid so once the sun sets, you'll have to go home. Such a great time at this spot.
What a fun splurge location. Where else can you say that you had a waiter bring you your food in the water, and the food was amazing! It is a distance, so we hired a taxi driver, as the golf cart probably wouldn't be very comfortable. Highly recommend going to secret beach!
Spotted this place online and had to check it out. It’s about a 20 minute drive to Secret Beach, which is not secret at all, from San Pedro. You can either take a taxi or rent a golf card, which is the preferred form of travel in and around San Pedro. They have tables set up in the ocean that the servers wait. It was great! They have beach seating and indoor seating if you want to avoid the sun. You can rent paddle boards and such while you’re there. We got there just before it opened and waded out to grab a table. They have a full service bar and restaurant. The server waded out and took our drink order and we asked for the shrimp ceviche appetizer. OMG!! It was without a doubt the best ceviche I’ve EVER had! EVER! We had a strawberry margarita and a pina colada. Both were good. They also have real good rum punch drinks that go down like water. Be careful with those! We ordered the shrimp and the fish tacos. Boy, were they good! I highly recommend any of these dishes. Especially the shrimp ceviche! They have kids menus and can deal with most any dietary restrictions or issues. It’s a great place to spend a day at the beach. I highly recommend the Blue Bayou Restaurant and Bar to everyone!
I'm so glad we came here! It was hard to choose where we wanted to spend our day, and we are happy we chose correctly with Blue Bayou. We actually ended up coming here twice during the week. One day we spent quite a long time here, the other day, we just wanted to come for a couple hours cause we had plans later in the day. I loved that we got there early both times. I don't think I'd go if it wasn't first thing in the morning. You can rent a locker for your stuff at the entrance to Blue Bayou. We saw so many people hauling all their junk out into the water, so I don't think a lot of people knew about the lockers. Bring cash for the lockers if you can. It's not expensive...I think $10BZ for a small locker, and $20BZ for a large locker. Great drinks, great food, and fun music!

So we did a fishing tour earlier that morning caught a bunch of snappers we took them to blue Bayou and they grilled them with no issue. Blacken seasoned them.. taste amazing!! These guys know how to cook and season food

Spent a day at Blue Bayou in November. Location was great being a little down the road from the main Secret Beach locations it was a little more casual. Lots of food options that were fairly priced. Great drinks and good service. In water tables were great. Lots of room to lounge around in the water.
We heard about this place from the staff at our hotel. My family of 12 spent 6 hours here and had a blast! All of us had food, drinks, and bottled water and the total bill was $300 USD. That included lobster and other seafood, tacos, and lots of other food.
Definitely a cool restaurant were u can eat in the ocean. Food was tasty however took very long we waited an hour for our food. Also service is pretty slow since the waiters have to go back in out and of the water. Definitely a cool experience tho
This is definitely more of a party vibe. The concept was awesome with tables out the the warm waters. Lots of people drinking and a live Dj playing club style music. They bring out the food and drinks out to the table and smoking of almost anything is allowed ( which I didn't like because people next to us were smoking weed ) but overall we had a good time and it was a beautiful experience. The place did get a bit crowded and drinks took long to get to your table.

The food is EXCELLENT! Service is good. Take a pic of the menu and then pic your table (in or out the water). They will come through to take your order in about 10mins or so. Note, surprisingly, the further the tables were out in the water, the lower the water level was. The water was only at our lower backs near the swimg, but was at my shoulders closer to the stairs. Some of the tables were really high to try and jump onto the bench, and they are covered in sea plant growth. They maybe need stepping blocks or something...lol The average whole fish is going to run you about $40USD and it comes with 2 sides. Seafood platers start at $100USD. Lobster season starts in July. Automatic 20% gratuity. Finally- YOU NEED MOSQUITO REPELLENT!!! Mosquitoes are EVERYWHERE. We are so thankful that someone offered their bug spray or we would have left!!

A lot of fun. Just understand that Belizian culture seems to just move a little slower on service and you won't be let down. Careful on the benches that it doesn't scratch you up as half of our group got cuts from them. As for food and drinks in general, it was all relatively good. To find this place, when you get to the secret beach, you'll have to turn left and go down a slightly bumpy and sometimes muddy road to get to it. Not the hardest to get to but we questioned if it was safe to drive over there so we parked at the split and walked down that way which wasn't too far.
Depends what you want out of your day I guess, if you want a bottomless beer than sure it's great. I didn't love being asked every 5-10 minutes if I wanted another drink. The music was good, it was fun to dance in the water. Trying to eat I found the umbrellas too low so you had to crouch under them while sitting. But the quesadillas are AMAZING! Super stuffed with filling and flavorful, just not my jam for environment
If you’re looking for a lively party vibe, you’ll enjoy it. Music is bumping and people are partying. Seating was hard to find as it was very busy on a Friday. Food took over an hour and a half for everyone around us to get.
We were very excited to go check out Blue Bayou. However, we quickly discovered that it wasn’t really our vibe when we got there. The main appeal for us was the tables in the water. The fish swim right by your feet, which is cool! Outside of that, there wasn’t much special about it. The drinks and food seem pretty expensive compared to the prices you would pay at other restaurants in the island, but are pretty standard for secret beach. I think that for a different type of person, it would have been a lot of fun! Seems like a great place to go while in spring break or for a younger crowd traveling with friends.
My husband and I came and were immediately greeted by the owner, who was very friendly and efficient in explaining the way the place worked. The music was 19/10, loved the jams. I would personally say not child appropriate but people brought their kids anyway. Where the downfall was, we waited for 30 minutes for someone to even come to our table to serve us, and another 30 minutes for basic drinks to get back out to us. When we were done, we sat at a table next to the bar to get served, and no one came up to us in another 20 minutes so we left to eat elsewhere.
The atmosphere is amazing with the sun setting over the Bay, but they apparently bank on that being the only redeeming quality of the restaurant. We ordered drinks around 2:30, and food around 3:00. Our drinks arrived after 3:00. That much is forgivable, but our fist appetizer don’t come til after 3:30. We asked about our food and the server said it would come around 30/45 minutes. Around 4:00 someone asked if our 2nd appetizer had came yet; of course answer was no. Finally, the 2nd appetizer came around 5:00 with our main courses about a half hour later. Terrible service. Lobster special was $50! Chewy, not a single scent of jerk flavor. Only thing going is that they have the sunset behind them. Tip?! Not optional. They charged us 20% for a 3 hour wait! Total ripoff.
