The California chicken sandwich is as delicious as any other locations! The standardization is great within Gott’s Roadside. There are a lot of orders so it’s a bit of a wait. Otherwise it’s a great experience. They had NBA on while we were there on a Sunday.

In a word: crowds. Let me start off by saying that the pace in line for ordering your food was not a good experience. Because the person we got was basically acting like a human robot! He never looked up from his cash register, he immediately yelled at us to order our food (which we barely had time while in line to look at the vast menu). All I could think of was I sure hope the food tastes better than the customer service! We did get our order done finally and waited a good 30 minutes before we got our food, and when we tasted our food we all enjoyed what we ordered. I think I would eat here again but will definitely avoid that one cashier (an older Asian guy)! The views outside of the restaurant were nice as it looked on the busy streets and it also had tables on the side of the restaurant overlooking the ocean as it is located at the end of the Ferry building!

Tasty burgers, plenty of seating. I had a normal hamburger here and my total was a little over $10. The food is made to order. My order was ready about 15 minutes after ordering, which is longer than I expected. They also sell a variety of other items and even have a selection of alcoholic beverages. If you want something to drink for free, they have a water station. There's no restroom, but you can find restrooms elsewhere in the Ferry Building. There's plenty of indoor seating, but if you sit outside, you'll get a decent view of the skyline.

2025 update: Gott's Roadside (previously Taylor's Refresher) used to be better. The burgers seem smaller and less flavorful now. The buns were dry and needed mayo or butter. The ingredients were poorly layered and seemed rushed. We had a California Burger $18, bacon cheeseburger $15, garlic fries $5, onion rings $5 and a couple of cokes $3.29. All the food tasted meh. We should have went to the noodle place inside instead. Original review: Good burgers here. I had their California burger $15. It had bacon, fried egg and onions. It tasted great. Their garlic fries $4.49 and cheese fries $5.49 were not great. It used to be much better. This time, the garlic fries tasted weak. Cheese fries were merely fries with nacho cheese poured over it. I'll skip it next time. The issue with this location are the homeless people. When I was waiting for my food, there was a big homeless person sitting inside the dining area next to where the food comes out. He was creeping on the women customers and not dining. Gross. While I was eating my food on the outside tables on the side, homeless people interrupted my meal asking for money more than three times. As I was finishing my meal, a crazy homeless women was screaming obscenities at the security staff trying to ask her to leave the Ferry Building area. I didn't feel safe eating here after that.

This review is for Gott's Cookies & Milk section only. This is accessible through the inner walk-way of the Ferry Building. had the Chocolate Chip cookie and was pretty good. I wished they had a Double Chocolate chip .....

Ordered a cheeseburger, fries and a drink. The burger was a good size, tasty and fresh. Order counter service was friendly. They use 100% Angus beef, cheddar cheese on toasted (soft) egg bun. Fries were crisp and perfectly salted. Ample outside seating. A wonderful meal on a lazy Sunday evening.

We were super excited to try Gott’s burgers, but unfortunately, we were a bit disappointed. It took over 40–45 minutes to get our food, which really affected the experience. The burgers were decent, but nothing extraordinary, definitely not worth the long wait.

Great fresh burgers are made to order. There is a variety of options. I chose the good old cheeseburger, classic, and their garlic fries were delicious. I also ordered cheese fries rest to share. This place is very spacious and there's plenty of room. They also have seasonal items to order. In addition to cookies, which are tasty too. Nice burger joint for you and our kids.

This place nails both the California chicken sandwich, and chicken tenders with fries. The California chicken was a total winner with juicy grilled chicken, and zesty sauce all stacked on a fresh bun. The chicken tenders were crispy perfection on the outside, and tender on the inside. The burgers we got were mixed. My wife’s was good. Mine was quite overcooked. The fries were just okay. It also was quite the wait to get them (slightly under 30 minutes). It’s a good option for the Ferry Building, but IMO if you’re looking for a great burger there are much better options in SF, and or much better values.

I come to Gotts every week and typically never have an issue. However the last few times that I’ve gone have been a disaster. Today, the burger I got was completely burnt and inedible. I payed like thirty bucks for a burger and fries and I couldn’t even eat it. I ordered to go and was already in the ferry once I ate it so I couldn’t do anything. The fries were stale, burger BURNT, and workers rude :/ Please do better!
