If you want authentic Mexican food, this is the place. Great customer service, not to mention their friendly and attentive server. Now I will say it's quite busy, so I do recommend ordering ahead. One of our plates was quesabirria, and the broth was stupendous.
Great food, lots of flavor! We had burritos and tacos, loved every one. A bit spicy for the younger ones, but extra sour cream did the trick. Would definitely go again. Public parking lot a block away was a great bonus.
Stopped here on a whim, heading home from the SF Airport. Fantastic service, food was orthentic and delicious. For a small tacarerra you could not ask for anything better. Highly recommend and will eat there again when I am in the area.
The asada burrito con aguacate with habanero salsa in it was the best burrito I’ve ever had!
Just went here for the first time to grab a burrito (which was amazing) but will be returning to try some of the other menu items after seeing what other people were ordering in there! Staff was friendly and accommodating as well
I came here bc i was craving pozole and they did not disappoint. i lived in the neighborhood for 10 years before finding this place, I'm so sad I didn't find it sooner. there's a reason this taqueria is much busier than the other ones in the same area. everyone here is also very nice. be prepared to wait on the weekends, especially Sundays!
My girlfriend and I were visiting San Francisco and we stayed right off of Mission Blvd. The night we arrived we were looking for food, it was a little late and nothing was open. We did a quick search and saw that a lot of people were saying good things about their food so we walked up the block to check it out. We got the Burrito Super with chorizo and it was so good! We ended up going back two more times before our visit was up and the extra free chips are an added bonus as well. If we ever venture back to SF again we'll definitely be paying them another visit.
Love this place and the people. They are a family run establishment and have amazing food. I have been going here to eat for 10 years. Totally recommend!
Ah. What can I say but so good! Place is small and street parking is challenging but the menudo is hands down the best I had. If you are looking for fancy, not the place. You wait in line, order from the large variety and go grab your salsa before heading back to the table. They take credit cards. My usual: menudo without bones (comes with fresh tortilla) and combination cocktail. Staff is friendly and food does not disappoint. Try it out.
I really love this place. The restaurant is clean and well ventilated, the food is delicious, and the service is great. They come to your table and offer to refill your chips which is nice. They also have really good tostada de ceviche (I like the fish more than the shrimp ceviche).
Love this place. #9 Bistek Ranchero is my goto, I also ask for a grilled japeno to go with it. Authentic Mexican dishes served by a smiling 😃 happy staff. There's a reason there's always a line here.
This might be controversial but I think their super burrito is up there with La Taqueria. The mission style burrito had a perfect ratio of meat (cooked well, moist, and seasoned), beans, and other toppings. I loved that they include just a little bit of rice in the burrito, which helps it soak up a little moisture and is more filling compared to La Taqueria but not enough to compromise the flavor. The service was quick, and they brought a plate of chips with green and red salsa to my table. IMO, the super burrito here beats out El Farolito as its way less greasy, more moist, and has a better ratio of filling. For anyone looking to try the best burrito spots in San Francisco, you will have to come here.
Wow. Killer Carne Asada Super burrito with chips n salsa for $14.21 ~ will be back!
The BEST burrito in SF, hands down. And we have tried sooo many places. The prices are better than places in the Mission, too. We come here often for lunch or dinner and it's always top notch food and service. Staff are super friendly. We love Mexico Tipico so much we catered our rehearsal dinner / welcome party for our wedding recently -- it was a seamless experience. Elena was responsive and helpful from the start. Don't miss out on dessert -- the tres leches cake was devoured in minutes. All our guests left happy and full.
Came by with some friends, super friendly service, free chips and salsa ++, agua frescas
Excellent, I couldn't cook for several months bc of an injury on my hand. The soups are just the way it's done! Super tasty sopes, not so salty, if you order ahead in advance, it saves the time in line. There are lots of tables but very busy. Give ur Tips. People work really hard here. Enjoy Mexican food!
I was surprised when they asked me if I wanted veggies in my burrito? I said yes and the results were amazing! I highly recommend this taqueria!
This mom and pop’s taqueria is the truth. Everything on the menu is good, I’ve tried it all! Good price and as authentic can be. They move quickly and make your food as custom as you like. It’s not the standard beef burrito one way. Other burrito places would get annoyed when I asked for something specific! Tipico would never. Solid local family I love to support!
Flavors are authentic, prices are reasonable, service is fast and friendly and their Quesabirrias...perfect. Family-owned and operated, open early for breakfast through dinner, super consistent.
One of the best wet burritos I’ve had in SF. And I’ve had a lot of burritos in SF. Fantastic job, y’all! Will definitely return.
We found this gem through chatgpt. The food is yummy with huge portions.
Authentic Mexican, freshly made, fast service and friendly staff. Walk in place your order, if you’re dining in they’ll give you a # and drop the food off at your table. They normally get you served in 5 minutes or less and are always friendly. My fav here is the quesabirria which come with two and the birria juice. The meat is always juicy and tender, packed with flavor. The tortilla always has a nice crisp and holds up well to the juices and dipping birria. Dipping birria is perfectly tasty adds great flavor and even more juice. I’d give this item 5/5 stars!
Love the food here. We eat here at least once everytime we visit this are (we live in Seattle, WA). The food is very good and the choices are excellent. Prices are very good. The staff are always friendly and helpful. So many tasty choices.
Was recommended al pastor for a super burrito. Was really good with 0 complaints. $14.37 tax included.

Consistently delicious burritos at a fair price. Habanero salsa is bangin
Finally tried our neighborhood taco place. I’m giving it 100 stars! Delicious food, clean area, and plenty of seating to sit and enjoy your meal. The owner and staff are very kind. Highly recommend this place to eat and enjoy. Thanks for all you do. ARNO
OMG was i missing OUT! if you're not obsessed with this place yet, please do give it a try! Wow! From the authenticity of the food (super fresh salsas, killer micheladas, REAL chips, etc.)
Ordered a carne asada burrito and it was spectacular. The green sauce was one of the best sauces I’ve ever had. Yaya. The burrito was wrapped very respectfully. Huge props.

Very friendly staff and great service! It’s honestly impressive watching the crew work so efficiently, all the way from the register to the prep line. Had a chicken Burrito Super. Great, hearty burrito with good flavor and solid portion size. The whole menu looks awesome and we were almost sad that we weren’t sticking around town to try the other items. Definitely check is out for some tasty Mexican eats.
They’re absolutely fantastic and the food is delicious. Very friendly people great service great food.
Atmosphere is ok i dont like the open door it gets cold and windy and its kinda small so it feels cramped but not really service is solid and the food is good that birria tacos/quesobirria is very good and the consume and the red salsa is very good too its great with chips
The absolute best taqueria in sf, been going here since my childhood & no other taqueria can top the food, family oriented as well! I wish they did doordash or uber eats, i would order all the time!!! 10/10
Carne asada burrito is very good. Tightly wrapped too.

I like for the fact that through all of these years they still Hold the QUALITY in their food! Worth every penny. Great for suizas, burritos, soups, etc. And the fact that they are open Super Late on Fridays and Saturdays after a night of drinking is Awesome! Then on Sundays they are super packed and busy! Good for them for holding it down for us hungry folks.
This place always has a line which means the food is good. We live down the street and call ahead when we do takeout so we can skip the line. Burritos and quesadillas are delicious and the quesabirria with consomme is always on point.
You know, it was alright. My menudo was good. Lots of fresh meats and ingredients (see the picture). I didn't get it with a pata. Corn tortillas were home made.. My only problem with the place was that vibe I got when I walked in. It just didn't feel.... the way I wanted. And the price was high. 13.50 for menudo? I'd driven from Vallejo, so I wasn't going to stop now, but that's a bit much. Food was good though.
Spacious and clean - while not a big place (9 tables) the high ceiling and lack of clutter provide space to breathe. There does tend to be a queue down the middle where the cashier is though. Service is fast and food is tasty with a generous serve of sauce. TV entertainment and free water helps. Price is reasonable, but don't expect anything super fancy. Overall good Mexican food. You've got to try their marinated pork. Even gave me a free bag of tortillas with my take away!
Ordered fish ceviche and menudo. Ceviche was great but menudo was very gamey. I have not had menudo in other places so I can't make a good judgment. However, I have eaten offals prepared other ways that totally removed gamey flavor through better preparation.

I need to go back and try something else. I saw other ppl plates and everything was looking good. I order a torta and it was a bad decision. Bread isn’t tasty. The meat ( Milanesa de res)was greasy flavorless and thin like a piece of paper. Ingredients inside were helpless just a bunch of lettuce with very liquid sour cream. I couldn’t finish it not even the half of my torta. I didn’t like it all :( Giving just stars because the service was great
I was excited to try some menudo but it was really bland. I definitely didn’t like the flavor, the smell. We also ordered a regular burrito but it lacked flavor. The only reason why I’m giving this place 2 stars is because the service was good and fast but food was not good
I made an order on the phone for 1 Super nacho and 9 Tacos on the phone. I went inside and payed, about $60, and waited for my order. The waiting time was supposed to be around 15 minutes but after almost half an hour of waiting I went up to ask if my order was ready yet, because everyone who had ordered after me had already left with their food, the cashier asked one of the cooks and he said they were just waiting on 2 tacos. I said ok and sat back down, after another 10 minutes I went and asked if my order was ready and They hadn't even started it!! I asked for my money back and left. They didn't apologize or even refund me the full amount of what I payed.
I'm disappointed in writing this review because I generally don't write low ratings for local small businesses, and I wrote a highly rated review of this restaurant. I ordered a carne asada and shrimp burrito super burrito to go. When I was eating my burrito, I noticed that it did not have any carne asada. I called the taquiera asking them if they can refund me for the product I bought. The associate told me I need to go back to the restaurant and return the burrito I half ate,n and then they will make me a new burrito. I told them that it would be too complicated because that would mean I would have to drive back. I then asked them if they could return money for the carne asada that was missing, and they told me I still need to go back to the restaurant and return the burritp and I would only get $1.50 back. It's 2026, and ain't no restaurant charging $1.50 for extra steak. At this point, I knew this restaurant was not looking out for its customers. Sadly, I won't be returning to this restaurant and supporting them. From my experience, most restaurants would acknowledge they messed up on the order and either refund the order or provide a partial refund. Do better, Mexico Tipico - make sure ya'll eat your burrito before you leave your restaurant if you have a specific order, because they won't accommodate you for any mistakes they make. P.S. I also gave them a $2 tip for a take out order!
