Best burger in SF so far! Easily beats a few of the must-have burgers in town: Causewells, Marlowe, Gott’s. The selection of juicy oily burgers, the exceptionally crispy fries of all sorts, and the chocolate milkshake, really created a symphony of guilty taste (and calories…). Disappointed by the the level of cleanliness when eating in, but it was so good I’m willing to forgive it. More like the place you’d go for burger and beer with friends than a date. Attire casual.

I needed something quick and guilt free to eat for my first meal in San Francisco, and this restaurant had my back! I’ve always had trouble getting into sweet potato fries but these didn’t let me down! Also, I had a bad taste for a burger so I opted into the lettuce wrapped turkey burger! That house sauce was so good with the pickles! I can’t wait to try another type of burger when I’m in town again! It was all filling and I couldn’t even eat the rest of the fries!

This a favorite family place! We all love the burgers and fries here. While it's a little more expensive than traditional fast food places, it's so much better and healthier! Big fan.

Juicy grass fed burgers were quite tasty along with the trifecta of fries which included sweet potatoes and zucchini along with the classic made a nice meal again with accompanied an ordered of roasted brussel sprouts in balsamic vinegar made a tasty meal. I would come back just to have more of those brussel sprouts but to be totally honest as good as the burgers were they were a little small and I could've eaten two of them. That's me a big eater. The ordering process where you have to order ahead to be served by your number made it seem more like an elevated fast food place.

Grateful that this place is on Fillmore! Definitely check your burger before chowing down too quickly like I just did. Make sure they get the cheddar cheese on there that you ordered! Always delicious though!

I had the classic burger which was tasty although the meat was way too pink for my taste. The fried zucchini would be much better if it had less salt; was too salty.

Delicious burgers delivered quickly and efficiently. It does feel a little more like a lunch place than dinner, but it was a good time regardless. They have a tasty diet cola as well. Fries taste good but are quite greasy. I do wish they had nutritional information listed, but it's par for the course not to. Lastly, they have good veggie burgers!

Great food. Great ambience. Great options. We ordered the veg burger and a cheeseburger. Both were delicious. My only complaint is that the veg burger is dyed red with beets so it looks like raw meat. Not appealing if you're vegetarian but still delicious. They are open to 10 pm which is a bonus. They have a full bar too. You pay at the counter so it's a good option when meeting up with friends.

Nice clean place with nice windows and parklet. They have some interesting healthy options but the burgers are meh.

Professor “Your Personal Satan” Fate

On paper the ingredients sound fantastic and original. The execution? No so much. I'm not sure what was more disappointing. Getting my lukewarm garlic french fries 10 minutes before my lukewarm hamburger. Looking at other reviews, the french fry orders have shrank in size. I enjoyed the fries but they were cold. Not sure if Roam intended them to be appetizers because they arrive far before the main course. The garlic was excellent but the cold made them unappetizing. We waited for the hamburgers, they arrive a long while after the fries. I suspect they do a lot of uber eats; lots of drivers were picking up while we waited for food. I suspect they prioritize the Uber Eats while the dining room waits for their food. I got the build your own. The meat was dry. It felt like the patty had been sitting for a while. The meat was warm but bordering cold. Paid extra for the brioche bun, wasn't worth it. The bacon, was cold, but still very tasty. I also had the $11 milkshake. Vincent Vega would be inconsolable. "That's a shake. That's milk and ice cream. Last I heard that's $5. Uh-huh. You don't put bourbon in or nothing?" The shake was tasty but small. Like small, small and that was the "LARGE". We have very different versions of what we think is "large". Not a good value in my book. Go to Salt and Straw. Lunch for two including a build your own burger and the burger my wife got, a ice tea and a large Milkshake ran $90 with tip. It's unfortunate. They have good ingredients but miss in the execution. I suspect they have to figure out if they're a sit-down restaurant or a Uber Eats kitchen.

Puttering around the area and the wife and I had a craving for burgers. We flipp flopped between two places then landed on Roam because the menu looked full and the pictures looked yummy. Staff was quick and consice when we ordered, they "did" ask if we had covid Vax, good for them! They brought our food out too us and we were excited... :) I will say they were not bad. Beef burgers were just beef nothing special, kinda basic. Cooked well just not special. Perhaps if we had gotten different burgers it may have had some more flavor. But in our cases they were basic. Sweet potato fries and zucchini hay stacks were good, again, no real complaints. :) If your near by stop by, just don't expect wow.

I used to love this place a lot more; their food quality and execution seems to have gone downhill. I usually get the burgers and fries, which have become more greasy and markedly less flavorful. The shakes and prickly pear soda are still winners tho.

Very bland & disappointing burger. Patty had zero flavor and the toppings just don’t match. Huge bun for some reason. Cannot see the kitchen or smell anything cooking. Good atmosphere but not good food. Beer and Burger $28 if you get fries and shake you’re looking at $50 for one person.

Very disappointed. We ordered two burgers and fries and paid nearly $50. For that price, I expected something exceptional — but the food was extremely plain and completely lacked flavor. Nothing stood out. Nothing special at all. It was so bad that I didn’t even finish my burger and ended up throwing it away along with the leftover fries. I can’t believe we fell for this. When you’re paying double or almost triple the price of a typical burger, you expect quality that matches the cost. I’ve tried a lot of burger spots, and this didn’t come close to the hype. Honestly, it makes me question how this place has such high ratings.
