Opinions de Taqueria Vallarta San Francisco
One of the best Al Pastor tacos in the city. It’s my recent favorite. 3$ tacos. It’s open late and self service. You order tacos first and then head to the counter for the payment. A bit confusing process but once you get it. It’s cool.
Got the camarones diablo - takeout style (rookie mistake- SAUCY) amazing fresh tortillas and just perfect beans - huge shrimps…. was pricey though ($20)
Burritos are flavorful with good meat and good quantities. I really appreciate the salsa bar with a tasty selection, and the included chips. Service is fast and helpful.
Another solid taqueria in the mission district. It's hard to go wrong with Mexican food here. Not busy at dinner time on a Sunday. We ordered a cabeza super burrito $14, and 4 tacos $4 (lengua, al pastor, asada, barbacoa). The super burrito was excellent and huge. Ingredients were all well balanced. Asked for less rice and sour cream and no added salt, but still tasted a bit salty. The tacos were typical, but all the meats were pretty good and it came with some grilled onions and radish. Complementary chips and sauces were provided. Self serve water is provided. First come first serve indoor seating only. Lots of tables. There are 2 separate registers to order at. 1 is just for tacos and the other is for everything else. Tacos are given to you right away and all the other food will be brought to your table. Parking is generally tough in the mission district
Located on busy 24th street is this Mexican restaurant. Shrimp burrito bowl had generous portion. Only that the tomatoes in the red salsa tasted stale. Green sauce was 👌🏼. They maybe spicy so try with a little first. You may ask if a dish on their menu is spicy or not. Tacos 🌮 come in count of 2. Horchata drink was a little too sweet, but worth a try. It’s got cinnamon in it. The cucumber drink was very refreshing! You may choose to sit inside or outside, overlooking the happening street. They do have a large vegetarian menu. Many local’s favorite. Definitely worth a try!
Had four tacos & street corn with tahin. Delicious and unique flavors including: al pastor (marinated pork which they serve with yummy warm sliced pineapple), buche (pork neck), lengua (cow tongue), suadero (beef belly & leg). Served in double corn tacos with a nice salsa verde and just the right amount of chopped onions. A humble sit down spot but has a charm with very lovely hand painted that illustrates the story of the district
I like the Steak 🥩 and shrimp 🍤 Dinner plate style because it’s was perfectly cook the shrimp is almost cooked I guess but I shrimp was pretty charred and i guess is alright but you almost forgot the golden rule, Never cooked it raw! It was absolutely amazing. 10 out of ten must try again. But the expensive, Nah. And also many mosquitoes everywhere. Chips are also good but the Horchata was the most expensive drink. i’ll never get those again.
So tasty! We got an assortment of tacos and all were delicious. I had a big horchata which I also loved. Not a taco expert but these sure taste like the ones we had in Mexico. There’s outdoor seating option, inside has plenty of space too and it was relatively empty when we went I don’t know how. Honestly, great stuff.
A friend had recommended Taqueria Vallarta when I had been looking for a place to grab a late night snack after watching a show in downtown San Francisco. Ended up really loving the authentic taste and variety of available tacos, reasonably priced and open fairly late. This has become now my go to place after any shows or concerts in San Francisco. Really love their Al Pastor and Lengua.
Probably the best tacos and burritos you'll have in the Mission District. They are open late. You order at the counter and find a table which you have a choice of indoor or outdoor. They make the tacos right in front of you. $4 each. Burritos are huge! Next door there is an alley filled with the most incredible murals you have ever seen. This is not just a place to eat, it's an adventure.
My favorite taco spot! There is a full taco station with a Trompo al pastor. I typically order 4 with everything which means radishes, cooked onions, raw onions, cilantro, limes, salsa, and hot p…

This is my go-to taqueria in the mission. Always alive with music and people congregating from around the neighborhood. Super sweet ladies who run the front register are always happy to see you.\n\…
We had two burritos: one pastor and one pollo. Both were great, but quite spicy since we are not used to this. Good size too. Staff is efficient. Sitting outside possible. Great place to stop by for …
Amazing tacos 🌮 I tried 3 different meats - carne asada, al pastor, and lamb. They were all lovely. The man at the taco station also gave me a nice scoop of grilled onions. You order tacos in one place and everything else at a separate counter where you pay. The establishment was clean enough - I would avoid the women’s bathroom.
Visited this taco place in San Francisco and had an authentic taco experience! The steak tacos were delicious, with perfectly cooked meat bursting with flavor. While the tacos were outstanding, the atmosphere wasn't the best as cleanliness seemed lacking. Nonetheless, if you're in San Francisco for some amazing tacos, this place is a must-visit. I'd love to return, especially to try their renowned burritos!
Located in the middle of the food corridor, 24th Street, San Francisco. A taqueria offhand large selection of Mexican dishes, a large selection of vegetarian burritos and 4 kinds of aguas frescas. This Taqueria caters to hungry people from 10:00 and closes at 2:00 every day. On the menu you’ll find that they serve Pozole and Menudo every day, the Pozole I ordered was well done and it contained plenty of Pata (cow’s foot) with no hominy, the broth was a bit on the hot side with a nice red color. A special area dedicated to serve tacos only Mexico City style with several meat options to please everyone. A popular place to visit after night clubbing specially on the weekends.

Specially would only suggest going here for the tacos... the burrito usually comes a bit burnt, not enough rice, and too many pieces of hard over cooked meat, don't forget the fat as well...
I ordered delivery from here and the food is subpar at best. The torta was soggy. The California burrito had maybe 5 French fries at most, can barely be seen. The meat was dry and not juicy or tast…
Went here with my boyfriend after a night of drinks since it was open late. Unfortunately the reviews were completely wrong. Got 2 pastor tacos and 2 asada. The asada was horrible it was hard, dry …

Food was just ok. Courtesy chips and salsa was nice of them. Nachos were good but I bet they were microwaved since those type of plates can’t go in oven or salamander. The huevos con chorizo were dry, had good flavor but needed more red sauce, the tortillas they came with were nicely cooked, refried beans and rice were good. Mango drink was good. Not sure if I’ll come back or not.

We went here craving a california burrito and since they were one of the few restaurants in the area that actually served them, we came. \n\nWasn't not on par with the Mexican restaurants in SoCa…
Overcharged me by $1.00 tonight and made no effort to rectify it. I ordered a regular carne asada burrito which on the menu was listed as $11.95. I got that with a Coke and it came to $20.28, which seemed high me. The woman at the counter said it was because of taxes. I asked her for an itemized receipt and it showed that she had charged me $12.95 for the burrito. I pointed it out to her and she looked at me, then looked at the menu board and then looked at the receipt and said there was nothing she could do. I told her she overcharged me a dollar and that she owed me a dollar. She said there was nothing she could do. I’ll give her the benefit of the doubt that maybe she just doesn’t understand how to refund someone and wasn’t trying to purposefully rip me off, so this is more a message to the owner: either update your menu board to reflect the prices you’re charging people unbeknownst to them, or train your employees how to give refunds. This is bad business and you’ve lost me as a many years long customer. Suerte.

TALK ABOUT OVERPRICED! $4 for street tacos is a crime! We order 10 tacos, a horchata drink, and diet coke and our total came out to $49. The horchata wasn't even fresh, it was the powdered kinda.…
the new owner is rude. i’m not sure what’s her name but she wears glasses, the food is good. but unfortunately the new owner or manager isn’t very nice.
Ordered: Zapata burrito and fajitas de ros o pollo They made my burrito wrong (replaced it after push back - although served me completely not what I ordered) and probably the bland-est fajita we've had. Staff not super nice. From other reviews, just get tacos! There are much better tacquerias in the mission.
I ordered super nachos al pastor, and they gave me asada. I went to tell the cashier kindly that I ordered al pastor instead of asada, and she gave me the nastiest attitude and did not want to change them. I had to pay again for another order because she was too entitled to change it.
