Desde la llegada, el servicio fue espectacular. Yoselin López, mi hostess favorita, nos dio una cálida bienvenida y nos asignó una excelente mesa. Abraham estuvo siempre al pendiente del servicio; es un mesero excepcional, cuida cada detalle y hasta recordó que no consumo alcohol, ofreciéndome una bebida de cortesía sin alcohol. El gerente, Otto Hernández, y el chef ejecutivo, el señor Carlos Bretton, se acercaron a la mesa y nos hicieron sentir como celebridades. También nos enviaron una deliciosa amenidad para acompañar nuestras entradas. Aldo Martínez estuvo atento personalmente a la preparación y calidad de las bebidas, asegurándose siempre de nuestra satisfacción. La comida es de primer nivel, con ingredientes frescos de la región y platillos preparados al momento. La fusión oriental es, sin duda, lo que más destaca del menú. Recomiendo ampliamente los churros y el pastel de elote a las tres leches. Excelente relación calidad-precio, una verdadera joya de San José del Cabo. Fine dining 100%. Servicio 10/10.

Llegamos a San José y nos recomendaron mucho este lugar. El ambiente es igual o más exquisito que la comida , nos recibieron con unas mezcalitas de mandarina súper refrescantes , un tentempié de edamames todo riquísimo , para comer pedimos la pizza de aguacate que es espectacular, una ensalada y el guacamole , simplemente delicioso. Puedes quedarte en las mesas y luego acercarte a la terraza con el fuego para tomar unos tragos! Si tienes tiempo puedes hacer el recorrido por cada ballena y conocer la historia de “el nacho” artista por el cual se creó tan perfecta construcción!!! 10/10 !

Exceptional find in Los Cabos for any type of occasion. Gorgeous architecture and location, thoughtful menu curation, exceptional service by Juan, Paris, and the entire Ballena team. This should definitely be on your list.

Another delightful dinner at Ballena! I sat at the bar solo and Armando and the other bartenders were fun to watch in action. I ordered the half chicken and took half home for tomorrow as it was a large plate. As always, the experience was top-notch!

This place has been one of the best restaurants I've ever been to. It was a little hard to find, the directions on google maps will take you to the back, use Waze or call them to get better directions. The food/drinks were delicious, but what was the cherry on top was the service. The evening outside staff made our birthday dinner (2/16) memorable. Amazing food, amazing service, and amazing vibe!! Could not recommend Ballena more! The staff were so kind, fun, and went above and beyond! The lobster taco, buttered sea bass, and mackerel crudo were our favorites.

What a lovely restaurant in a beautiful setting. The atmosphere was elegant and relaxing. We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner. We ordered the Grilled Romaine Caesar. It was one of the best salads we had ever had! The Grilled Organic Chicken and the Salmon were equally as delicious. Our server, Maximiliano, provided excellent service and attention to detail. We are looking forward to our next visit at this restaurant!

Such a beautiful place to have a relaxing evening! My husband & I had a date night and enjoyed the pleasant staff! Max was our server with assistance by Samantha. Felt like home... We had Lobster Springs Rolls , then Cesars Salad to share..followed by Bolognes Tagliatelle & Carbon Pasta...no room for dessert..next time!😃

We are so excited to have a new amazing restaurant near our home in San Jose. The restaurant is beautiful, the service and people were even better. The food did not disappoint. The menu has a little bit of everything. We enjoyed the Caesar salad, avocado pizza, and the kung pao chicken. The 5 spice chocolate cake was amazing, make sure you save room for dessert.

We loved our meal sitting outside in the beautiful surroundings abutting nature and art. Dali recommended some dishes we loved - duck tacos, tuna tartare, salmon with coconut foam. We will definitely return and hopefully in the daylight to see the views.

It's a beautiful restaurant with a large menu (might be offering too many items to do it all well). I'm not sure they know yet what they want to be. I can feel they want more business which they deserve, but do they want to be elegant or try to be more hip by cranking up the music? Hint - managers go to dinner at Humo around the corner from you and see how elegance is done. Ballena has what it takes to be exceptional.

Tuve una pésima experiencia en este restaurante. El servicio fue extremadamente deficiente, con tiempos de espera inaceptables y una atención desorganizada. La calidad de la mixología y del servicio en general no corresponde en absoluto con los precios que manejan. Para agravar la situación, la presencia del gerente fue prácticamente inexistente, sin mostrarse disponible ni interesado en atender o resolver el problema. Es especialmente decepcionante cuando un lugar con aspiraciones de alto nivel no logra cumplir con lo más básico. Lamentablemente, no fue una experiencia que valiera la pena

The absolute worst experience ever. The service was the worst i have ever seen. We sat there for an hour and a half simply waiting for just drinks to arrive. The only thing we ate was a very mid Caesar salad and then they have the audacity to bring sparkling water that looked like it had been sitting out for three days. Skip this place and head to somewhere better like Flora’s. Absolute nightmare!!!!! It was so bad this is the only review I’ve written about any place.
