Wow! Just the veggies that come with the Banh Xeo is worth the meal. A bountiful amount of giant lettuce leaves and generous serving of herbs. The banh xeo is quite good in portion, crunch, and deliciousness. Pro tip: if you don’t finish your veggies, save them and make spring rolls later.
If you want to eat Vietnamese crepe (Bánh Xèo, pronounce almost like bun shell), this would be the place. The food is delicious and quite healthy because it comes with some fresh vegies. If it does not fill you up, you can also order a set of spring rolls as I did in the picture. At the time of this writing, total is under $40. Could possibly feed two people, if you are not a big eater. :). By the way, I order to go but there are a few tables at this small place for dine in.
I ordered the banh xeo with mushroom, shrimp, and tofu. It was a nice-sized serving. Was disappointed that the mushroom, shrimp, and tofu were completely unseasoned, but overall the dish was still good since there was fish sauce to dip the banh xeo in. Banh khot is untraditionally made with thick flour and a coconut flavor. Still tasty though! When sitting outside, expect to be propositioned to buy fruit from street vendors.
As other reviews pointed out the banh xeo takes a while but this is because each one has to be made on the spot. Our spring rolls came out fast and was one of the best I had. Banh xeo was so delicious and one was more than enough for one person. The fresh veggies really complimented the dish. They are busy for a reason. I highly recommend it.
We came here for bánh xèo and it did not disappoint! The crepes were crispy, light, and filled generously with shrimp and pork. Fresh herbs and lettuce were served on the side, making each bite so flavorful and refreshing. The nước mắm dipping sauce was well balanced, not too sweet or salty. The menu also has other Vietnamese dishes, but the bánh xèo is definitely the star here. The place is casual, cozy, and the staff is friendly. A great spot in San Jose if you’re craving authentic Vietnamese bánh xèo!
The banh xeo was crispy, lots of veggies, and fish sauce was on point. We had an amazing meal here, after a long time of craving traditional banh xeo. We were also enticed by the pandan one and gave that a try. It’s a very subtle difference but you can definitely taste the aroma of the pandan. Lots of veggies which we really appreciate, some places really skimp out on that but this place doesn’t. A light and delicious meal. Food was good, service was extremely fast. No complaints.
The egg rolls here are incredible—super crunchy, flavorful, and honestly the best I’ve had. My partner and I even visited Vietnamese Town recently, and nothing there compared to how good these were. I also really enjoyed the other dish I ordered (C3)—everything was fresh and delicious. Highly recommend!
Stopped in for a quick dinner with the boyfriend and it's exactly what you'd think, Banh Xeo. But wow! That was a lot of food! They did not skimp on veggies or meat here! Best thing is it's light, and you don't feel awful afterwards! Definitely got our money's worth!
I was told about a place that serves the best Banh Xeo in the Bay Area. Therefore, I had to give it a try. This is another comfort food for me that reminds me of mom's cooking. I have not had Banh Xeo in many years, so this was a welcome treat. The restaurant has other food on the menu (Pho, various rice dishes, etc.), but the specialty is Banh Xeo. The Banh Xeo was crispy! The way it should be. The filings of bean sprouts, shrimps, and pork were cooked just right. I normally eat the Banh Xeo as is with nuoc cham (aka fish sauce). I was told to try wrapping the Bang Xeo with the vegetables in the rice paper to make a spring roll. This was new and very good. Different style of eating, but very good. The restaurant is as I expected for a small Vietnamese restaurant in a shopping center. People were nice enough. Food was prepared and served expedient. Worth the trip from San Fran to San Jose for Banh Xeo? Sure. I would do it again.
Great place for banh xeo, banh khot, bun and nem nuong. We met for dinner. The appetizers were tasty, crispy when required. The banh xeo was nice, hubby gave a quick tutorial on how to pull lettuce and mint to wrap the crepe inside akin to a taco. The dipping sauces are provided and hot sauce already on the table to add your spice level. Service was nice and efficient.
Good friends + good banh xeo= good San Jo Saturday! Many places claim they make good Banh Xeo crepe, but, the pandan here makes it better! I know, I know, the pork rolls are not Brodard-style from Fountain Valley, CA. But, these rolls are the 💣
If you like banh xeo, this is the place to go. The banh xeo is fantastic: huge (one crepe can easily feed two people), crispy, flavorful. But what makes the food truly authentic is the large mound of herbs & veggies they provide. I’m truly impressed and will be back often.

This is the best banh xeo in the area. Super crispy and there was a fair amount of protein in there. They give lots of veggies and herbs and we loved their fish sauce. Just don’t order the nem nuong rolls. The sauce is not great. Service isn’t with a smile here but the food more than made up for it.
I went to this restaurant and came for one thing only! Banh xeo!! The crepe was crispy and the filling inside was tasty with meat, seafood, and veggies. It came with a bunch of yummy herbs and greens too. The people who worked there were nice. I would definitely tell my friends to go try it.
Came here to have some banh xeo. Left full and satisfied. The banh Xeo is crispy and cooked just right. The service is a bit confusing if you aren't use to it. You seat yourself and a waiter will eventually drop off a menu. Once done, you go up tk the counter to pay by referencing your table number. If you dined in and order take out as well, the wait staff will not inform you that your take out order is done until they are annoyed with you. There was a confusion with one of our orders only to be reprimanded by the wait staff.
I've been here in many occasions for lunch now. First off, they are anything but a place that serves pho or bun. They do offer these options but their specialty is Vietnamese crepes. I finally decided to try the banh xeo and it was great! Being non-Vietnamese, I thought I was ordering an omelette. It's actually a cross between crepes and pancakes. Which is to say, it's delicious! I had the #1, which is the grilled pork and squid with sauteed bean sprouts and fish sauce. They also give you a ton of veggies to go with your banh xeo, more than I can eat. Finally, and before you ask. Yes, they accept credit cards. And yes, service leaves something to be desired.
Bánh xèo is ok. If you are a difficult customer, you will not like the way it tastes . My opinion is that the food is ok to eat. The "cake" (Outer part of the food) is very crispy. But I like the traditional way better. The traditional way is made crispy on the edges, and soft in the inside. And the missing vegetable are cucumbers! The way it is made takes a long process, but it is worth the wait. If you like it made quickly, there are other foods for you.
I actually walked into this restaurant blind. I moved in January of this year and haven't had the time to look around the city to check out good eats. I figured since I had plenty of time before work today, I thought I'd drop by to check out the place. First thing I notice is how narrow the restaurant is with one major walkway down the middle with table sitting against the walls. Not too small, but it was good enough to walk past without bothering anyone eating. Got seated, and ordered a báhn xèo (Vietnamese savory crepe) with mushroom, tofu and shrimp with a one order of spring rolls (2pcs) and a fruit tea drink. Plates come by with a bowl of Romain lettuce, basil and cilantro, and I realized just how BIG the crepe was. It was stuffed with plenty of bean sprouts, surrounded by the mushrooms, shrimp, and tofu. I learned that you wrap cuts of the crepe into the leaves and dip it into the sauce.... I'll tell you something though, I love texture, so when I bit into the leafy goodness, I was in heaven. You could taste a bit of each ingredient in the bite with crunchy, slightly buttery taste with the fresh basil and cilantro. I tried the spring rolls and my goodness, it's hefty, large, and in charge. The spring rolls are very filling and quite a mouthful. They don't skip out on the meat either so each bite is not too the broom with fresh herbs and meaty goodness that you can do into this sauce. I'm not quite sure it's a peanut sauce since it was dark in color. It was probably hoisen (oyster sauce). I was planning on only eating half of the crepe and taking the rest too work but ended up finishing it, and paying for my food. It's definitely worth trying it since there's not a lot of restaurants similar to this one around.
Banh Xeo Spot on Silver Creek – A Crispy Coconut Masterpiece in the Heart of Viet Town When my partner and I are craving something green (but not too green), we head straight to capital express way for our go-to veggie fix: the beloved Vietnamese coconut crepe, banh xeo. If there’s one silver lining to French colonialism (and let’s be real, there aren’t many), it’s the culinary crossover that gave us this golden, crispy, coconut-laced delight. Traditionally stuffed with shrimp, banh xeo can be customized with pork or chicken, but here’s a pro tip straight from a pair of loyal regulars: stick with the original. If it ain’t broke, don’t hit it with chicken. The magic is in the details—crispy coconut batter kissed with chives, topped with lightly sautéed bean sprouts, and served with their signature carrot vinaigrette dipping sauce. One dip and your taste buds are doing the Electric Slide. This is not your average lettuce wrap situation—it’s a handheld flavor bomb wrapped in crunch and nostalgia. Feeling extra? Add the banh khot—a smaller, thicker, pot-pie-esque cousin of the banh xeo. These mini crispy cups pack serious flavor and are the kind of thing you’ll find yourself Googling at 1 a.m., wondering if anyone delivers. Spoiler: they don’t. Get it while you’re there. The restaurant itself is small—intimate, if you will. About 15 to 20 seats inside, and a modest patio area outside for those who enjoy dinner with a little neighborhood ambience (read: Teslas playing bumper cars in the parking lot and the occasional RV that may or may not be someone’s permanent residence). But between the charming pink flower walls and that distinctly local energy, you’re too busy vibing with your crepe to care. This spot isn’t trying to be flashy—it’s a no-frills, flavor-first staple of the San Jose Vietnamese community. Family-run vibes, solid prices, and food that hits harder than your mom’s best soup when you’re sick. Whether you’re new to banh xeo or it’s already in your rotation, this spot is a must for anyone who respects crispy edges and coconut batter done right
Located on the far corner inside a strip mall (with mostly Vietnamese restaurant and an exotic food and a matcha hot spot), there is ample parking Not your typical Pho place (though they have it) but they're known for their Banh Xeo (felt more like a build your own Banh Xeo). Very crispy and tasty that brings back memories of the time in Vietnam. Another flavorful is their duck salad. Their spring rolls are good but it can be a filler. I suggest go straight for the Banh Xeo and Banh Kot and get an order of their beef porridge.
Everything is about OK. I like the savory flavor of the foods but there is a little bit over used on turmeric that kinda held back the true taste of the dishes. There are 2 types of Banh Khot if you don't know; and I don't quite like the presentation of this one. One more thing that make me feel uncomfortable was the temperature of the foods; it's like they are pre-made and just being reheated when ordered. All the meals were cold down when it came to our table. Appreciated the quick and friendly service. It could be fun to hangout with friends and family here to share the foods. But should consider if you're a picky eater like me.
We've been coming here to get our Banh Xeo fix when we're in the Evergreen SJ area. Lately, we've been getting the (B1) Bánh Xèo (shrimp, pork, squid) and (C7) Bún riêu ốc (thin rice vermicelli crab paste and snail soup). The Bánh Xèo was fresh and crispy. The side of leafy greens and vietnamese herbs are plenty. However, the Bánh Xèo itself could use a little bit more protein inside. Also, a handful of Thai chillis on the side would be awesome. We noticed that when you order 2 Bánh Xèo, they give you a single plate of leafy greens and herbs. We prefer to have our individual plate of veggies. The Bún riêu ốc is OK. The crab meatball is tasty but could be softer. Pho Kim Long makes this soup better but we don't like how Pho Kim Long is now stingy with their Sriracha and Hoisin sauce.
We ordered a salad, an egg roll and a savory egg crepes. The "pig skin" salad is very refreshing, the egg roll is surprisingly delightful. We recommend both. The egg crepes are specially, and feel healthy as we add vegetable into it. The crepe is crispy and appeal to the eyes, though a bit plain to the palate, worth trying and then you can decide for yourselves. Service is efficient and on par with comfort food setting. The restaurant is busy and seems popular among the Asian (Vietnamese), a good sign that it carries authentic food.
The only Vietnamese crepe place I know of. For that, it gets points. Quality of crepe is good. Quality of other items is an average. June 2025 update: Been here many, times since my first review. I’ve come to really enjoy the crepe dish. And I’ve never seen it anywhere else. Perhaps they could add a tad more meat ands less bean sprouts to improve the dish. But I still feel healthy eating the huge lattice and veggies basket that comes with it. Spring rolls are ok, Shaking beef of very good but pricey. Pho hits the spot but it’s not legendary. But I added a star to make it 4.
Banh Xeo Ngon has many different selections of Banh Xeo. I like it. Who loves to eat vegetables, I highly recommend it. It was full fill at the time I was there and a little bit crowded. The price was good.
Nice fried rice and really good vermicelli! Their house special fried rice is pretty good! However it's questionable why they charge for water during COVID or maybe they done this all the time.. at least you can tell us in advance.. at least you can take it out with you too...
The best Vietnamese ever for Banh Xeo, Vietnamese Crepe. The veggies are all fresh and crispy..something healthy for the body. The portion is quite huge but you get it all worth . Sumptuous and right price but tiny space. Asian ambiance, but not too friendly people. They hardly speak English. This place gets full from 12-1:00 p.m. hard to get a vacant table, got to wait a little for seating. I’d come back for another round of the famous Vietnamese Crepe here!

Got the pork/shrimp banh xeo, my first time trying. The pancake was delicious and crisp but the filling was a little bland. Not sure if its supposed to be like that. The shaken beef was good but there were 8 tiny cubes of beef and a ton of onions. The onions were good and the rice. Might go back to try other banh xeo and dishes.
Today we have tried Banh Xeo (crepes) at this restaurant and it tastes just good as it comes with squids and shrimps. We use to make Banh Xeo at home but it takes a lot of time. This restaurant looks clean and it does not take long to get the order. I would give a 3 star rating as there’s nothing too significant about Banh Xeo at this place.
Paid $70+ for two banh xeos, two drinks, and one order of their banh khot. It can get pretty expensive. On top of that, our orders were suppose to include squid but they ran out and they didn't even compensate by adding more shrimp and pork, there was way more bean sprout and not enough meat. The food was good, but I don't think I'll come back here.
The only banh xeo place in San Jose that specializes in it but it doesn’t do a good as job as other spots even in the same plaza. Crispy edges but the whole thing is oily and flimsy. Too much bean sprouts not enough meat. The nem nuong rolls were weird. Large cucumber in the middle and not enough crispy eggroll wrapper inside. Really mediocre

The food was alright. One thing I liked about the food was they gave a generous portion of greens. However, the service is very rude. Their restroom’s lock is broken so I asked my bf to stay outside to guard the door for me. 3-4 minutes in I already heard complaints outside which later my bf said were the owner asking twice why I took “so long” in there. Also when we first walked in the door the waitress started asking us twice what food we wanna get. Seemed a bit pushy honestly. We didn't even sit down and get the menu yet. About the lock, not sure how long has it been broken but I saw they putting tape on it like that would fix anything. I wouldn't come back.
Cozy nice atmosphere. Great menu and delicious Vietnamese dishes. Unfortunately, our server gave my family a bad dining experience. My sons ordered two fancy drinks but only one came, and when my wife reminded the server there's one more drink due, the server came back with the wrong drink and she was not happy when we told her that. When our orders were taken, I asked for a cup of water. It did not come. My wife went to ask for the water but the server ignored her. At the end, I never got my cup of water. But, when I was making the payment, I saw my order of water was listed on screen. I think this restaurant just refused to spare me a cup of water for $0.00.
Banh Xeo was good, the spring rolls were okay. My only issue was with the staff, they forgot to bring a few dish we ordered and one of the waitress was particularly rude which ruined our experience.
Bad banh xeo…they stuffed it with 80% beansprouts and not enough meat, not worth the price with this little meat. Wait was long and food wasnt worth it. Overall i was still hungry after playing $41 for two banh xeo. And they ended up charging us $47…
Don't buy sugarcane drinks from this restaurant. It didn't taste like a real Sugarcane juice at all. I bought one today and was very disappointed. It tastes just like a water-sugar drink. VERY VERY BAD. You can tell they added a lot of water and sugar to the drink to make a big profit. Also, the cup is filled with 2/3 of ice—what a ripoff. Don't waste your money. We will never come back again.
We gave this place 1 star because the bad dinning experience and the server's attitude!! We had been there once a while for a few years now, the service was never friendly, but we accepted it as it is. We knew the service at Asian restaurants are never friendly and the servers usually are unattentive. This recent experience was the worst! The older lady/server who took the orders has always been there these years. She never smiled nor ask you how/if everything ok all these years. But this time she was very rude and yelled at us for asking something different for the green vegetables that came with the Banh Xeo. She replied 'Why didn't you said so in the begining?!!' God forbid if you made her do extra work!!! Whenever we asked for something extra, she made us feel guilty! We learned from past experiences that we even prepared and bring our own extra lemon slices and napkins. But still she is unhappy to serve customers for something different! When we asked for box for leftovers, she looked at our table 3 times before she is willing to give us what we asked, and that was after she came over to inspect our table to see what we have left. WHY do we have to justify for what we asked? Are we not paying customers? We do NOT owe her any money (this is what her face and attitudes show as if we do owe her money)!! We told her that we will not be dining there again! At Vietnamese restaurants, they don't seem to care about their customers and yet they expect to get good tips. They don't understand that 'customer gratitude' (tips) are earned, not entitled!! Good customer services lead to more tips earned!!
As I was eating my Banh Xeo, I found 2 strands of hair in the salad, 1 inside the the banh xeo stuck to the cooked batter. We informed the employees and recommended that the food handler wear hairnet (as required by law). She went in to imform them, came back out and said they are wearing it. She turns around, I stood up and look inside, none of them have hairnet on. It's ok if there was issues. Acknowledgeit and act on it. Never go and lie to your customers or they may call the health department which may put you out of business.
We visited this restaurant around 7:30 pm and ordered bánh xèo and chicken pho. As soon as we sat down, the staff started rushing us to order, but we were not informed they were closing at 8 pm. When the food arrived, the experience was very disappointing. The chicken pho was uncooked, with chicken skin still on it, and it had a very bad smell, like the chicken was expired. The bánh xèo also smelled bad, and the vegetables inside tasted and smelled like they had been sitting for days. We only took one bite because the food was clearly not edible. When I complained, instead of handling it professionally, the staff took our food tray and showed it to other customers, as if trying to make it look like we were lying. That was extremely unprofessional and embarrassing. Despite not eating the food, we were charged full price. This was a very disappointing experience due to poor food quality, lack of professionalism, and bad customer service. I would not recommend eating here, especially close to closing time will be calling department to check this restaurant for serving bad food
Worse service we literally call for Banh chao They said they do I and my sister went there to eat they give us a raw chicken pho and it smells very bad my sister ordered banh chao and smells disgusting as well mushrooms seems like expired when we confronted the cashier that smells very bad look at the chicken it’s not even cooked well we spend $50 for nothing cashier don’t wanted to refund our money back because they selling expired vegetables and raw chicken when I told her we never had a issue like that before in different Vietnamese restaurant this is the first time we came here if you guys closing than you shouldn’t be taking the customer. When I get home I start throwing up 🤮 I end up to go the emergency hospital I hope the management take action to this matter. They should be lucky I didn’t call for health department

I would not recommend eating here, especially close to closing time will be calling department to check this restaurant for serving bad food
