Awesome little place for bagels in San Jose. Not too expensive and it tastes good, service is fast. Close to two public parks so you can take your food and eat it in the park if you want. They also have a wide variety of beverages.

I really like this spot for a quick, tasty bagel sandwich. I recommend the chicken salad on a jalapeno cheese bagel. MMM-mmm. Yummy! lots of other stuff too! The service is generally very quick, the price is reasonable and the portion size is good for a bagel sandwich. Plenty of food for a nice lunch.

Got the Egg salad bagel sandwich, which was loaded with toppings and delicious. Was very surprised at the amount of variety & options. Bagels, croissants, donuts, boba and more can be found here. I also got a green milk tea and that was great as well. The inside is clean & organized. The exterior makes the space look small, but there is plenty of seating on the inside. The staff were all very kind as well and quick with getting the order out. Would highly recommend.

City Bagels in San Jose is a great spot for a fresh, satisfying breakfast. I had the lox bagel and the egg bagel—both were delicious, perfectly toasted, and full of flavor. The ingredients tasted fresh, and the service was friendly and quick. Definitely a place worth stopping by for a tasty morning bite!

First time at City Bagels in downtown San Jose and did not disappoint.I order a #6 veggie bagel sandwich and was very pleased with overall taste and ingredients used. Costumer service was excellent from the elder gentleman that handed me my order and wait time was moderate. Will be changing my new bagel location to City Bagels!

I was greeted with a smile and asked how I was doing…they waited for my response and genuinely wanted to know. As I waited for my order, they greeted the next person and asked how they were doing…they knew their regulars and helped them get out the door and on with their day. I was able to take time to look at the menu and when I ordered they asked clarifying questions to make sure I was getting exactly what I wanted. Just a little quiet spot off a busy street that brings the community together for their breakfast and lunch needs.

The quality of the food and the attention to detail in how they put together each ingredient on the bagel is unmatched. Try this instead of another bagel spot! You won’t regret it. Our go to orders are everything bagel with scallion cream cheese with lox and all toppings And garlic bagel with jalepeño cream cheese, bacon, onion, and avocado.

Good here is absolutely delicious and the sweetest lady helped me with my order I got the avocado bacon egg and cheese with jalapeño cream cheese! Such a hidden gem, better than house of bagels and no line. Now my go to bagel place in downtown SJ. Can’t wait to come again this week <3

They have bagels (several flavors & cream cheeses), pastries, coffees, smoothies and boba teas. They also make bagel chips. The staff here is so friendly and kind. I'll definitely remember this place next time I'm in San Jose.

Hard to miss on Santa Clara st but this place has it all. We order from our office often and it is always a treat. Prepare for longer waits in the morning.

Very tasty bagels and quick service. I really enjoyed the sesame lox and cream cheese bagel, however I failed to read the menu carefully and was surprised by the lettuce, tomato, cucumber and pickles inside. My bad, I should've read the whole thing 😅 after removing what I didn't want it was still a pretty good sandwich.

Good place for a quick breakfast but they got to do something with their coffee... It is really bad. Bagels were really good.

I've made it a habit to come here before work. This is where I get my breakfast, so yummy, and pricing wise it's so wallet-friendly! I used to walk to bucks two blocks from here, but this place beats the chain store in terms of both time and money. Also the people who work here are super nice and may just make your morning. They prepare food fast, so if you're on the go, I definitely recommend it.

went in here for lunch today. great bagel sandwich deals. $5.99 for a sandwich, chips and a soda can. I had the tuna salad sandwich which was pretty good. they put sprouts in the sandwich, which i like. there is a good amount of seating inside the place although the store front is small. they take cash only, but there is an ATM machine inside. fast service.

Their bagel with lox is decent, I have to say that. Since that's all I've tried, that's all I *can* say. Like too many San Jose restaurants, it's staffed by someone for whom English is an exotic language, but that's what menus are for! Just point and grunt. You'll talk at each other in your respective languages, eat your bagel, and get the hell out, but with a smile because that was a pretty decent bagel.

The bagels I ordered came out fast and well made. Would definitely visit again when I am in town. Their jalapeno cream cheese is quite good.

I had an iced chai which was a little watery(?) and was okay. The real stand out is the bagels. They have many flavors (I recommend Jalapeno Cheddar, which was a nice kick throughout the bagel). The ham and cheese bagel sandwich is very clean to eat on the go and tasty. The lines are a little long and they seemed to get other peoples’ orders wrong, but for me it was a great experience!

The bacon, egg, and bagel sandwich was pretty good. A nice spot for a quick, grab and go breakfast. The value was decent.

I got some bagels for later. They had some very interesting bagel sandwiches.

Came here for the sausage egg and cheese bagel. No flavor at all whatsoever. Service was okay. The guy was in the middle of eating while ringing me out so I kinda got grossed out and almost left but I was really hungry. I don’t think I’ll be coming back here.

I live nearby and been before. The bagels are okay and I like to go early in the morning after my workout. I went today about 10 min after opening and the whole store shelves are empty. They let me know they wouldn’t have any bagels for at least 30 more minutes so like 40min after opening…so I won’t be going back 😂

City bagel was ok, the crusty outside was thin and the interior lacked the doughy but fluffy texture. The taste was good, just not a NY or NJ bagel. The store was cold, they keep the doors open. I went there for the first time yesterday and the second time today. The two stars are because the quality of the food was good. Unfortunately, both times it wasn't what I ordered (plain bagel with pb&j- pretty simple). First time I got cream cheese, second time peanut butter and no jam. Especially frustrating this morning, as I was the only one there and the two ladies behind the counter definitely both heard me and one actually repeated my order back to me and they had no one to confuse my order with :P If I ever am really trying to get a bagel while I'm downtown I might go back, but I'm definitely unwrapping and checking it before I leave.
