Consistently delivering great drinks. This place is known for its exceptional cold foams and cream tops. However, don’t miss out on the delicious sparkling drinks. Today, we went for the Black Sesame Latte and the Pineapple Passion. The Black Sesame Latte is not very sweet, and there is a perfect balance of flavors between the black sesame and espresso. As for the Pineapple Passion, also light sweetness, which I like. Very refreshing drink and I could taste the freshness of the homemade pineapple passion fruit purée.

These guys have solid drinks. Naturally, everyone has certain flavours that they enjoy over others so you won’t get the same result with every drink, but if you can hone in on whichever flavour you truly like they will execute it to near perfection. Really high-quality ingredients very quick turnaround time for orders in my experience. I’ve tried maybe four or five of their various flavours and drinks at different times and they also have various seasonal drinks. Sometimes you will love the seasonal drinks, and on other occasions it won’t be exactly your pallet. But that’s what’s exciting about this place. Is that whatever they make is a premium quality, premium consistency very good customer service so hats off to them for contributing I feel in a significant way to the overall San Jose Boba game amongst the very top names I would say.

Everything about this place is 5+ stars. I went in the morning for a cappuccino and it was literally PERFECT!! I’m a flight attendant and visit coffee shops on my layovers and I usually get the same thing at every shop and this place was excellent. I will be craving this cappuccino when I leave. I went back in the afternoon for a cold brew. So delicious. They are busy but quick and efficient. The cashier gave excellent recommendations and great service. Highly recommend!

High-end, quality coffee at a great price point. They use the best equipment. With the amount of detail and care these baristas put into every drink you can tell they really love what they do. Super friendly, great music, creative drink options with tons of flavor! Keep up the great work. Wish there were more coffee shops like Dr.ink out there.

Dr.Ink Coffee Shop is such a hidden gem! The vibe is cozy and stylish—perfect for relaxing or getting some work done. I tried the coconut latte and it was absolutely delicious—smooth, slightly sweet, and so unique. The americano was also excellent—rich, bold flavor with a clean finish. You can tell they really care about the quality of their coffee. The staff were super friendly too, and the service was fast. I’ll definitely be coming back for my coffee fix. Highly recommend if you’re in the area!

One of several coffee shops I rotate between downtown. I like their various specialty drinks that they make - usually with an appropriate topping, which I like. They also tend to have a different variety of pastries, not typical of other coffee shops, but still very interesting. I usually get their dark chocolate mocha, or recently their peanut butter mocha, with a peanut butter wafer topping. When they have it, I like their egg custard bun with an orange slice on top - both esthetic and tasty. The location itself does not have a lot of seating, so not one of my favorite places when I want to set up and work, but still very cozy for a short stopover. The staff is friendly and works hard to make the customers happy. Only it is sad that sometimes the pastries don't get delivered....

Great lattes! Got the Thai Tea Brulee and it was amazing. The tiramisu latte was pretty good too. Only thing I wish was they could swap cold foams for different drinks but you can only change the milk.

It’s all street and paid parking in this area. Better if you have someone who can drop you off and hang out while you order then come pick you up. The service was quick. I got the seasonal sweet corn latte. I loved it! I love corn milk tea and anything corn. First time having it as a coffee version. Also got the mango furthie which was blended. Tastes like a creamy fruit smoothie. Also delicious. All drinks are one size. They also serve small pastries like Korean Kim chi bear claw, egg Sando, croissants and buns. There are merchandise and coffee beans to purchase.

I had their seasonal lemon pie latte. Such a unique drink I've never seen in any coffee shop. They're also reasonably priced. It's quite busy so expect to wait about 15 mins.

Dr. Ink is a welcome addition to the downtown San Jose cafe scene. Located on a block adjacent to San Pedro Square Market, the modern space with high ceilings and polished concrete floors overlooks some of the new high rise apartment buildings. The drink menu has many unique creations such as the dense and flavorful Black Sesame Latte and cream tops of the Cinnamon Latte and Butterscotch Latte. The barista uses a butane torch to caramelize the top of the drink. The cinnamon sticks are a nice touch in the Cinnamon Latte. They also have high quality pure unblended teas, "Fruthie" (fruit and tea) and "Ink" (milk-blended) and tasty sparkling drinks. As another bonus, there is a seasonal menu on the counter that has four unique drinks to mix things up for regular customers. The pastries also look like they are from a reputable partnering bakery such as Alexander's Patisserie or Maison Alyzee. There is also a rack and shelves with craft coffee, shirts and mugs for sale. If you are looking for creative coffee and fruit drinks in downtown San Jose other than the usual espresso bar and pour over fare, Dr. Ink is your best bet.

Friendly staff We had regular hot lattes which were great. They offer various other flavored espresso drinks hot or iced which looked pretty fancy. Probably will try next time we visit. The store was clean and felt brand new.

The drink is amazing. I tried their matcha latte and I would say that it’s one of the strongest matcha latte I tried. The place is really cute with a minimalistic design. The staff are friendly. It’s great place to get a drink while walking downtown or to study. Keep in mind that this place is quite small and it’s would be amazing if they have more space. I will definitely come back to try out some more drinks.

Every drink I’ve tried here has been great. The seasonal menu keeps things fresh and interesting, so it never feels repetitive. The only downside is saying goodbye to favorites when the menu rotates. I’ll definitely miss the strawberry cheesecake latte, as well as the guava matcha and salted caramel latte.

It is in such a perfect location! The interior is a perfect hangout to chat with a friend or to focus on work. I have tried two drinks so far; the sesame latte, and the rosee latte. I loved the sesame flavor, but the coffee itself was a little too strong for me, which I now know for next time I can ask for it to be it a little sweeter — which I will be doing. Today I tried the rose latte and it was so perfect. It’s probably one of the best rose latte I’ve ever had. This will probably be my go to spot moving forward :) Staff are nice.

I had a tiramisu latte, per the barista recommendation, and I can’t say I was blown away. The presentation was great, but the latte had no unique discernible flavor. You could have told me it was just a regular latte with nothing added to it, and I would have believed you. I’m hoping that was just a fluke, and when I go back, one of their other drinks tastes as good as it looks.

Cute place to do work, a couple of tables/seats and the service was good and fast! I do agree with others who said that $7 for a drink that is fairly small is a bit expensive. However I do appreciate that they have cool fun flavors. Also be mindful that theres not a lot of outlets if you are there to do work.

Traditionell Coffee. Not special. Barister clueless: he said "fruity" but they use a dark onyx. The space does aim to be a nice coffee place. They serve Onyx. Good start! But they will need to work on bean variety and barista skill.

Extremely disappointing service. I placed an online order for two drinks and received a text 20 minutes later saying my order was ready for pickup. When I arrived about five minutes after that, only one drink was prepared. When I asked about my order, the staff told me they were “still working on it.” There were five employees in the shop, no other customers waiting, and yet they were all chatting casually. It was clear my second drink hadn’t even been started until I asked about it. I politely mentioned that my parking meter was about to expire and asked if they could please speed things up. They responded that they were going as fast as they could, but continued chatting while slowly making the drink, which took another five minutes. It honestly felt like customer satisfaction was not a priority. If you’re going to send a “ready for pickup” notification, the full order should actually be ready. Very frustrating experience.

Went for the 1st time to see how good the coffee is & found it to be highly overpriced & not any better than Starbucks. Got a cortado for $4.50 that came in the size of double espresso shot. Temperature was warm at best. Was hoping for something better, but was disappointed. Basically should get a home espresso machine & make my own than pay the price for coffee at Dr. Ink
