Had a lovely lively afternoon at the Enrique Tomas near gate B7. Delicious toasted imberico ham and manchango sandwiches and some wine beer and cocktails. The staff was so engaging and helpful answering questions and quickly refilling glasses. Thank you Roberto, Miguel and Gladys.
My wife and I were fascinated to find a spot at the Luis Muñoz Marín airport that serves Spanish grass fed cuts of pork. Jessica took wonderful care of us. The cerdo de bellota’s meat is super healthy and cannot compare with the industry’s meat that the market has available. It’s a beautiful space and has great potential.
With COVID restrictions menu was small and prepared, grab-n-go style. But food was excellent, price reasonable, and fast. I’m thinking of ordering one of the hams. But they are large enough I have to wait til pandemic is over so my friends can help:).
Stopped to grab a sandwich to take on a flight. Service was slow and not very friendly, But! That sandwich was divine. The bread was just the right level of soft and chewy, and the jambon and cheese were out of this world. If I could get this at home I would be eating it constantly.
Finishing an enjoyable visit to San Juan, and had an amazing experience before our departure at the airport!! Stopped at "Enrique Tomas" near gate B7 and the staff was fast, attentive and engaging! Awesome bocatas (jamon and cheese sandwiches on rustic bread), and great wine/cocktail list. Ask Gladys Cintron for her secret signature cocktails (and the portable phone charger!!)!! Miguel Mayol was so kind and his service was the best! Manager Roberto Nieves should be commended, and we thank all for the professional hospitality!!
We had a delicious lunch here. I enjoyed my sandwich and the bread was excellent. My husband had a beautiful salad. Had time to enjoy our coffee. Friendly service. A cut above the regular airport food!
Don't pay attention to the 1 star reviews, few of them address the food quality anyway. This place is a gem for a restaurant in an airport. The food is phenomenal, the Jamon Iberico alone is incredible, & the service was spectacular. They have a great selection of white & red wines, as well as bar drinks, & in general the atmosphere/staff were very upbeat & positive. The margarita here is a must have.
Surpassed my expectiations considerably. If you find yourself in the B terminal at SJU you must stop, sit and enjoy. Just lovely!
El lugar es acogedor, tranquilo y limpio. El jamón iberico muy rico y el vino también.
fantastico el bellota los quesos y la cerveza
We don’t understand some of the recent “bottom of the barrel” ratings for this place. Sounds like folks may be grabbing premade sandwiches on the go…? You gotta sit down to enjoy this place! We stopped by this location in the San Juan Airport, it looked different than the burger/chicken place down the concourse. So glad we did! We loved it! For a place in an airport, this was 5 stars… Service was good, all the servers we interacted with were friendly (and patient with all of our questions!). We chose the Montanera Salad and the Jamon Experience. The salad was huge, and fresh, ample cheese, olives, ham and toasted almonds. The berry coulis dressing was light and tasty. The ham tray came with toasted baguettes, a light drizzle of olive oil. The ham samples were plenty, all good, our favorite was the 24 month old ham. A couple of glasses of bubbly, and what a meal. A very worthwhile stop if you have the time. Highly recommend Enrique Tomas!
Una opción diferente con buen jamón

I almost visited this place when I was in Barcelona. I was surprised when I get off my flight in Puerto Rico and run into this place. Lots of basic sandwich options with cured hams, and the prices were way cheaper than I expected.

The food here was absolutely amazing! The service, not so much! Friendly, but wow was it SLOW! If you have time, this is the best place to go, but if you have less than an hour, I'd recommend not coming here. And, everything in the airport is a bit expensive, but expect to pay quite a bit for a meal here. But again, the food was absolutely delicious!
Early morning check in (5:00am). Not understand why many people queued on the cafe express on the front , look like three cafe sell the same product & same prices, just who’s look more high class stall . Cappuccino so so .. we chose the cheaper price Bocadillo pequeño☺️. Standard taste.
I will say drink bar with sandwiches with cured hams. Unfortunately prices are high. Nice but slow staff.

Food is very good. Prices are sky high. Service is largely absent. In a crunch, it’s an option, but come with enough time.
I bought a half serrano bocadillo (sandwich) to go.m for $15. It's a complete scam. The amount of meat is ridiculously small for the price. Let's compare with the same place, Enrique Tomas in Barcelona, a sandwich this size would be €8 but with twice or more the amount of meat. That means that you're paying 4 times what you would pay in Europe. It's not worth the cost. The guy at the counter offered very good service though.
Please pass this place up. I got a grab-and-go jamon y queso sandwich that had only a few slivers of ham and some cheese wedges and it cost $25. It was not labeled or priced. The bread was not fresh tasting and overwhelmed the tiny amount of ham. The guy at the register acted like I was bothering him when I went to pay. Big mistake on my part.

Enrique Thomas must be trying to pay off some big loans by charging high prices while serving minimal food. The piece of ham on my $24 sandwich was transparent. There was little or no cheese at all. Less than 1 leaf of lettuce was on the 12" sandwich. 12" sounds like a lot, but not when the whole sandwich with meat and lettuce measures 12" × 1" tall x 2" wide being generous.
Good food, but the salad had olives with pits in them and I nearly broke a tooth. Menu has no warnings about the olives. The ham was not as tasty as the hype that seems to follow the menu description. The place is elegant but cheapned by the plastic hanging hams. For being a supposed expert in hams Enrique Tomas comes out as a cheap way of extorting money from travelers while at the airport. After a cheeseless sandwich for 16 dollars and a guava dressing salad with olives and tasteless ham for 20 dollars the 5 dollar coke did not have a refill. The waitress did not even offered some tap water at the end of the meal. The waitresses thought is did not speak Spanish as I spoke english on the way in. Because of this when I asked some questions about the menu, I overheard the waitresses saying that I must not have much money if I was asking the question I was asking. I found this very rude. One can truly tell they believe that they have the customer cornered at the airport since there are not many eateries in the San Juan Airport terminal B. Definitely I would not come back again.
Ordered a meditarainin salad, what a rip off, tini little pieces of tomatoes and hand and cheese, very little off all. Don't waist your hard earned money, also the host needs training on how to be a host.
Wildly overpriced for the paltry portion size. But the coffee was okay.
They forgot to make my sandwich then insisted i pay for it
This place is atrocious. 20 minutes for two sandwiches that are essentially just a thin slice of meat between toasted bread. Ridiculously overpriced, and the half and whole options were the same. Horrible.
Do you like bread sandwiches for 14 dollars? Than this is your spot! I love bocadillos and I think that's what this place is trying to do. The only problem is they make the sandwich with a loaf of soft bread and two pieces of beef jerky, I mean ham.
$22 for a dry baguette and serrano ham with nothing else is unacceptable! Definitely not worth it as a to-go option.
Bad experience. I ordered a Ham and Cheese Sandwich with one slice of ham and a thin strip of Manchego ham, for $11. What a rip off. I had to argue with the server to add a miserable slice of cheese. Never again.
Today! Sunday July 23, 2023. Hopefully Management will hear us this time if they want to keep this location open at the San Juan, Puerto Rico Airport. We had a Great experience in our vacations in P.R. Except this restaurant at the airport! Get rid of this slow and lazy people. This time the coffee machines wasn’t working the 1 sandwich that we order took more than 20 minutes and they wasn’t busy… then we ask for an order of olives and after 15 minutes, when we ask for our olives order to the server he replied to us “The cook just have two hands!” Really?! Rude! and Disrespectful! If your are not going to represent the Beautiful people of Puerto Rico. Get out of their airport! We do not want to interact with you coming out of the airplane. Give it the opportunity to another business that will appreciated to have customers!
Overly priced! Ordered three sandwiches and a small to go charcuterie box enough to eat on the plane . Total $112 then the cashier asked for a tip. The sandwiches were good with the cured ham but my fault for not looking and their fault for not expressing the total before making the sandwiches
While everyone just keeps mentioning slow service and the terrible and expensive sandwiches (which I’m convinced are not made with the jamón they advertise), I’d rather comment about their wines. Not all wines in their wine list will be available at any one time. They are not preserved; they’ll just be lying on the bar for several days with just a cork and expect the consumer to have an acceptable tasting experience. What’s infuriating is that this place has so much potential; it just needs a good manager and dedicated owner.
Handed me a menu when seated... and no one ever came back. Nobody... 2 waiters not doing anything. Only 2 tables seated 2 people at bar. We had to order drinks from bar even tho we have a table. I really wanted to try some ham. But whatever is probably best shouldn't eat nothing from here...
Double charged 65.12 for a sandwich and beer that you can get at any gas station for 10.00. Had to have one charge disputed by my bank. I hope I get it back. This place is pretty legit horrible though. You're better off going hungry on the plane.
Incorrectly charged for multiple sandwiches. Staff completely uninterested in trying to fix their own mistake. Giving countless excuses for why they can’t refund all the money we were ripped off. When asked to just cancel our order so we could dine elsewhere we were told straight up no and they just kept our money. I’ve never been so ripped off at an establishment in my life. On top of it, sandwiches are disgusting and completely overpriced. This place is a joke. Avoid at all costs.
They denied me of service because I wanted to charge my phone. Told me there was no coffee, when I asked for a ginger ale the lady working told me the drinks were only for people eating that she wouldn’t want to let them choke while eating. Nevermind she wasn’t getting the tip either she just decided she didn’t want to have to serve anyone that didn’t have a specific minimum in her mind. Just beautiful! I wouldn’t employ someone like this.
My flight was leaving from Gate 8 Out of SJU right next to the restaurant. Waited no one acknowledged me or offered any service. Finally the younger one walked over and I told him I just wanted a coffee. Walked up to counter to get coffee. One of the servers told me to go there. The older server standing literally right in front of me never looked up or acted in ANY WAY as if he saw me. He definitely didn’t acknowledge me acted as if I wasn’t there. I walked any as I was getting info from advertisement to contact the MGT the younger one reappeared and asked did I get the coffee when I advised him of what was happening he became very aggressive and said rudely”need to sit down”! Really?! I walked away. Feeling ignored disrespected and with the distinct impression my business wasn’t WANTED!! When I pulled up this place the first thing I saw was a 2 star review. I’m surprised they have any stars at ALL. Don’t waste your time or $$ on this place!!!!? No I did not get anything due to the RUDE DISMISSIVE and UNPROFESSIONAL treatment and behavior of the Employees!! Please don’t waste your time and $$$ on such a place. Lots of other places to get coffee from. Based on my interaction with them they obviously don’t need customers $$$.
I was indecisive between ordering coffee and a drink. We stopped here because it looked like a cute place. I was going to try their manchego but after sitting down we were rudely told they only sell coffee if you buy food. No sign anywhere that says this. It was more so the manner in which he spoke as if we were peasants. Seeing the reviews now, I’m not surprised at all. Treat people with kindness. Especially if you work in the service industry. They also do not have any alternative milks. Theres a bigger restaurant at the entrance of terminal B where they are FRIENDLY and have more options. Go there. Gracias.
Staff will be holding conversations with each other and blatantly ignore you. When you try to get their attention, you’re met with attitude for interrupting the side bar. There’s a big sign that says, “Wait to be seated.” Servers passed by the long line multiple times and offered no help. Eventually, one server just asked why we were waiting and that we should seat ourselves. Food is good. Service is lacking.
Yo también soy costumer and give you $$$ ! Detrás de mi habías unas 15 personas para pagar lo cual devolvieron TODO porque ella no le quiso cobrar a esos turistas. Que vergüenza me dio como Puertorriqueña!
This place is a joke! $30 base price for an Iberico ham sandwich with nothing on it. The four 2”x 2”less then paper thin slices of ham is an insult. I asked what it came with and our waitress said we should add lettuce, tomato and Manchego cheese. Never ever did she ever once say (although in her very rude way insisted that she did) that there would be a $2.99 upcharge for the cheese and $1.59 x2 upcharge for the tomato slices. $36.17 for the most pathetic sandwich we’ve ever been served. All I tasted was bread lettuce and tomato. When I complained she rudely told me “you should read!” Well I read and nothing on the menu explains anything about an upcharge or that you get a pathetic amount of ham on a sandwich. And they were out of olives as was stated in another review! Maybe they don’t really offer them. Do yourself a favor and DO NOT EAT AT THIS ESTABLISHMENT!!! It’s a rip off!!!
Went in wanting some thinly sliced Ibérico de Bellota as shown all over the menu, table topers, banners and branding all over the restaurant. Asked for an individual ham plate, was “upsold” a plate with manchego and bread. Bartender said it was cheaper and better quality deal than just the premium Iberico I wanted. I really only wanted jamón and a draft beer. My guest asked for some olives. They were out of olives and brought a plate with a mess of oil all over the bread, jamon and cheese. The ham was clearly pre sliced, pre packaged, thick, pale (not dark red) and dry. The manchego was overly dry, the bread warm and good but drenched in oil. The draft beer was the only worthwhile thing, but then again Medalla is made on the island. Its crazy I can get better pre sliced ibérico de bellota in a supermarket on the other side of the world than in Puerto Rico. LOL. $63 Never again. What a joke and insult to Spanish culture and food. P.S. If the sign at the entrance says wait to be seated, the employees should know to guide guests to their seat. Or just remove the sign.

Bought a $24 sandwich and it was moldy. There’s no way to get a refund or an exchange. It’s not edible. There should be some kind of quality check before food is sold to customers.

My husband had a sandwich thrown at him by an employee today after pointing out that it was expired.
