A hidden gem in Old San Juan with a great mezcal selection. This bar has a wonderful atmosphere and refreshing cocktails. Christian our bartender is a true ambassador to La Grieta and made our time in San Juan a memorable one! Gracias por todo!

Had two cocktails both amazing and refreshing (yes a mezcal cocktail can be). Very nice mezcal collection, including nearly all the El Jolgorios. Will come back for more.

Stumbled upon this bar while walking in the neighborhood. This cocktail bar was perfect is all ways - The atmosphere, the location, the drinks!! The bartender made two outside of the menu special drinks for us. One was a special edition mango mezcal drink made from mangos straight from his own farm and the other one was espresso martini with volcanic salt. Omg, both were delicious.

Went to this Mezcaleria while waiting for our table at La Madre. Quaint, little bar with outdoor seating. I'm not a Mezcal drinker, when in Rome....I tried the reanimador which was very citrusy and lower in Mezcal than some other drinks. Well presented. Cozy spot to get a drink.

Visited this bar twice in our 4 night stay. Such a nice bar, staff are great and they make incredible drinks. Will definitely be recommending to any friends visiting, it’s a gem in old San Juan!

The bartender was very nice (and had cool tattoos). She made an incredible Paloma, a Oaxacan old fashioned and an espresso martini type thing. All were incredible. 10/10 would come back

This was the perfect place for the final stop in the night. The drinks were delicious and the bar has a great aesthetic with doors that open up onto the street. You can sit inside or outside with your drinks. The bartenders were very friendly and had good suggestions.

If you want a great mezcal experience, this is your place. Drinks only, they have just about all the best mezcal bottles you can find. You can get a flight and they walk you through each one and adjust based on your taste and price range.

Lovely spot for a mezcal based cocktail. Very cool vibe (music is so good) to start or end the night. Recommend the Cenzontle, if you like smoky cocktails.

We were walking by and were drawn in by the music; the atmosphere seemed perfect. Cute little tables in a romantically lit alley adorn the front doors, and they're a great place to relax and enjoy a cocktail or two. Speaking of the cocktails, Hillary is very skilled at what she does! They were balanced and refreshing. Come here for the vibey music selection and stay for the talented bartending.

Great opportunity to sit in an alley and have some drinks in the evening. The atmosphere was great and worth 5 stars. The drinks were good too. We had three different cocktails and they were all good to great. No complaints but not the 5 star category for me.

Visited Saturday 2/8 on our first visit to Old San Juan. Loved the bohemian vibe with the 3 open passageways to the foot-traffic only street, which had a few café tables and the ambient lighting in the outside spaced matched that of indoors. Reminded me of my recent visit to Italy and Greece where the scene overflows into the street. We spent most the evening either chilling on the leather sofa or dancing to music, which was great….a included of both progressive techno and afro-house. The drinks were great, but here is my only critique of this place. There were two women bartenders that had an attitude that didn’t compliment the scene. They both seemed lethargic, indifferent, uninterested, and melancholy. I went to the bar 5 times and each time, I smiled or complimented the drinks, hoping to get a smile out of them, but nothing. Then at the peek of the night when bar lines were seeming to take 10 min to place a drink order, one of the two decides to take a dinner break and eat her to-go dinner behind the bar (at least go hide in back). Another small note, at 11:30pm the aforementioned music I enjoyed takes a hard shift to punk music…no transition, in case you like punk music. Just a weird energy shift. Most bars stay on theme for certain nights. Anyways, in the end, I love the place and will be back!

I order the Oaxaca Old Fashion, (they served it over crushed ice which just diluted the drink to fast), bartender decided to take my order and 6 others while the coworker chit-chatted with a customer instead of helping out, took her about 8min to get my order and another 6 to make the drink. I went for a beer the second time to speed the process up but still the process took like 5min with an empty bar. Bar is located at a great spot, bar has a good setup and design, service could use a help ASAP
