Beautiful tasty creative donut shop with games, wifi

I'll drive well out of my way for doughnuts from SLO Doughnuts. The doughnuts are always fresh with a wide variety to choose from. The crew has always been pleasant to work with. Easily the best doughnuts in the area.

Had the maple chocolate chip pillow—10/10. Great staff and the donut was top notch! Definitely worth a detour. I’ll swing by next time I’m passing through for sure!

Exactly what you expect!! We tried 6 different doughnuts and they were all great. It's nice to have some doughnuts that not only look great but also taste amazing.

Excellent donuts. These are standard type donuts but very soft and good sweetness. Not dry or cakey or crumbly. They seem quite fresh but not right out of the oven.

Came across this place by chance last year - lucky me! So. Much. Deliciousness. I try to stop by whenever I'm in the area. This last visit I bought 12 different flavors just in case. No regrets. My current favorite is the espresso (filled) delight.

On a friends suggestion that this place had the best donuts they’d ever had, we had to try it out, right??!! How do you choose between so many flavors of donuts? They were delicious and we’re already planning another trip to try a different flavor. Apparently, boysenberry cream cheese pillow is the way to go. We’ll be back!

A friend gave me an assortment of these donuts and I was very pleasantly surprised! I'm not from SLO or even California, but had seen the signs on occasion. I expected your average donut shop taste (which by all means is very good) but the ones I tried were superb.

Wow the options are endless! So many yummy donuts! They also have a vegan and GF section with even prettier donuts. Open 24 hours too. Highly recommend!

Honestly SloDoCo is probably my favorite donut place in San Luis. The staff are always so kind and they just make my day a little bit better. The donuts are always so pretty while also being equally as tasty. If you're passing through Slo, I HIGHLY recommend stopping by here for a donut or two

SloDoCo has always pleased everyone I've taken. It's open 24 hrs, so no matter whether you want a sweet breakfast at 8 am or a hearty treat after some bad news at midnight, they have you covered. I'm always amazed at the variety of donuts available. There is seriously some adventurous stuff here. SloDoCo is one of the places I have to stop every time I return to San Luis. Definitely worth it.

Visited both SloDoCo in SLO on the same day. The bigger one had better service, better selection and a bathroom. The best tasting donuts we have found in California. We love the apple fritters, cronuts but would skip the lavender donut next time. I love all things lavender but this was too strong. This is our new favorite when traveling north.

Delicious. Wish I could have tried them all especially the bacon maple bar. I went with the crumble cinnamon roll.

Drove 40 min to get a gluten-free donut and I was not disappointed! Super moist, delicous, and mouth watering! Service was prompt and friendly, toilets clean! Great place to hang out! They have a ton of donuts to choose from!

Awesome doughnuts - light and fluffy and really tasty. Though they have what you may find in a typical doughnut shop, there are a lot of unique flavors. The wide variety of options makes it very difficult to decide - you have been warned! But whatever you get, you'll be satisfied!

Oh these donuts! They're just so good! They have tons of unique and fun flavors and styles, but the simple donuts are amazing too. I think my favorite is the blueberry. Real blueberries in there, not some weird blue flavoring. Staff are friendly and helpful. I wanted to have one that they picked out for me as a surprise (hey, there are so few fun surprises in an average day, why not?). My server made sure I couldn't see the choice, so the surprise wouldn't be spoiled. At lots of places I think I would have gotten an eye roll instead of a kind smile. This place is such an easy 5 stars!

Great donut shop right near the campus. The gentleman who was working gave me an extra donut hole and the service was overall excellent. I got my donut holes within five minutes due to the line but even then, he helped everyone quickly. Free WiFi offered and the prices are fantastic. Thank you!

For people who know the area there is one place for doughnuts that really stands out amount the rest. When you enter the store you get your first indication something is going on and there is a buzz even late at night. Picture students and people working to laptops, talking, and a relaxed vibe centered around doughnuts (and assume some coffee to keep the fires going). Why are all these people here? Well they have some Rockin' doughnuts for one. They have so many choices and as they are busy they are always making fresh batches. The flavors, colors, and variation is amazing. I have friends and family who need to eat gluten free and there are a whole section for delicious choices for them as well. They have a rock solid social media presence and be sure to read and see some of their amazing "holey" creations for yourself. Recently tried the devil cake donut with cream cheese frosting. Evily delicious. Bring your stretchy pants

On our way to Motto Bay we came across this instagrammable place. Wait what? Yes, these donuts are truly worth a post. From Thai Iced Tea to Lavender frosting - you can find anything here. Super cozy to sit down and sip a coffee while having a delicious treat around the clock! Definitely worth a stop!

Well worth visiting! Super fresh donuts as it's popular with the locals and college students. Only a little pricer than average donut shops, but well worth it with all the custom varieties. Board games and lots of seating available. Kept me and my kids entertained for a one hour total visit.

We used SLO DoCo. for the dessert at our wedding reception and we couldn’t have asked for a better doughnut experience. The doughnuts were made fresh that day, were a huge hit with our guests (especially the classic sugar coated and the maple!) and were very reasonably priced! They also made us a special large doughnut iced with our name and date which was so so special. They made the process easy and seamless via email and the phone. We would highly recommend SLO DoCo. to anyone catering dessert and especially for anyone thinking of doing wedding doughnuts in the San Luis Obispo area! #betterthancake

Seems like a local favorite and open 24hours! So glad we stopped here on our road trip. Every flavor sounded so good! We got a maple old fashioned, a raised vanilla with sprinkles (which came out warm and was one of the best donuts I’ve had!) and a cute little donut hole sized puff filled with a light orange cream 😋

Who would have thought that Winchells Donuts from the 1980's and 1990's then Krispy Kream could not be out done. Well, they have been out sugared with the best most moist soft and perfectly sweetened delights. Every bite is sugary and donut chaos in my mouth. Every bite is extraordinary. The colors on display with each flavor shinning through the displays are a beautiful symphony with my eyes. My eyes ate first. I ordered the ones that my eyes loved. Amazing GF doughnuts! We came here specifically for them and we weren't disappointed. Lots of flavor options but the best were the chocolate and the maple. The ones with the cereal on top were my least favorite. Highly recommend!

Delicious donuts, great ambiance and graphic design. The marshmallow glaze on the galaxy bar was perfection. They also have a donut design bar with sprinkles and other goodies to spruce up your sweet treats

Was watching "Donut King" documentary and got a craving. First went to Sunshine Donuts but they had virtually no selection. SloDoCo caters to college crowd so I was twice the age of everyone in there. But they were still super friendly and helpful. Prices decent too. Got all this for $7.

On every corner… some of my friends out there don’t even know what maple bars are. When I describe to them a top tier Cali donut shop, SloDoCo is what comes out of my lips and heart. This location is my favorite, the donuts are always fresh and the associates are always friendly, attentive, and don't mind helping you out with suggestions. A lot of the local university student come here for a late night snack, hangout, and most of all study. I make a 30 min trip to come here almost every other week with my friends and family. Since moving to SLO, I was curious about this place. I finally got a chance to try it a few weeks ago and it loved it! The staff greeted me and have been very kind each time I come in. They even remembered me and I have only been there a few times! The donuts are great and the fun creations they have stand out. I tried their cereal donuts and these galaxy donuts they had and the taste and texture was delicious! Their other donuts are just as good. In particular, the maple pillow filled with Nutella (or other flavors such as pumpkin spice) tasted amazing! This donut alone is a major reason as to why I come back. I normally always get apple fritters when I enter a donut place but this donut has won me over. I always make it a a point to get this donut when come through. I definitely recommend this place and will continue to come here.

We were on a work trip came back to the hotel and our front desk girl hooked us up by telling us about sloDoCo. The environment was inviting, the customer service was great they answered all our questions told us what each donut was, making jokes,. We bought a few and went back to the hotel and did a tasting. Great place to swing by and grab fun donuts. Circus animal donut, oreo donut 🍩 are great everytime. Lavender, bacon maple donuts are a miss.

They're good looking donuts and reasonably priced, but I won't be returning. I generally dislike donuts because they're always far too sweet and these ones in particular I couldn't even finish one with how nauseating it was. That's me though, and I was dragged here. If you want your blood sugar to spike, go for it here, because the texture was quite good (especially the vegan options). The two gentleman behind the counter were very chill.

Cake donut with strawberry glaze and chocolate chips from SloDoCo: It had a very distinct strawberry flavor that I couldn't place. Husband said Smarties, and I agreed, but I think Sprees might be a step closer to capturing its tang. The flavor combination with the chocolate chips was good! But unexpected tang for sure.

Free wifi, with a HUGE variety of donuts, the staff are also super friendly and will help cater to allergies :) only downsides is the location is a bit out of the way and the donuts are dry

I've had their donuts before when my sister brought them back from her work trips so I had to stop by during my short trip in SLO. There were so many flavors to choose from and there were even vegan options. The donuts I chose were too sweet from what I remember. The one vegan donut I got was pretty (as pictured), delicious and not too sweet.

I love that this donut shop is open 24/7! Great spot to drop in for a treat. The pillow donuts and cream puffs are fresh, light and crisp. They even have vegam options! It can be loud and crowded Thurs-Sun and during finals and midterms. Otherwise, they have great options during the day hours and a nice, artsy atmosphere. There is free wifi and also board games available. Some nights they even have live music. Great spot for all ages.

such a great and unique selection of donuts, but they ran out of a lot of them by the time i came in the afternoon. all of the donuts i tried ranged from decent to amazing! plain cake: this was okay. would rather get a tim hortons plain donut tbh raised crumb: comes a close second to the vegan lavender. this was pillowy and had great texture. vegan lavender: skeptical at first but probably my fav donut i tried! lavender flavor wasn’t too flowery or overpowering and had pretty good texture for a vegan donut

A great variety of donuts, staff is politely and friendly, coffee is good for coffee but only if you’re good at mixing up your own drink, seating is a bit uncomfortable but there are plenty of electronic sockets for charging, the local are is a plus. The biggest draw is that they offer WiFi 24 hours.

Good doughnuts and service. Tried on the way back from a hike-well deserved. Location is in a strip mall with other businesses, plenty of parking. Had the cinnamon roll and another doughnut. If back in the area this is a go to for sure.

We heard about this place and wanted to check it out. They have a wide variety of donuts at a reasonable price. We got 3 donuts to try. The only thing about the donuts were that they were very sweet for my taste. That’s why I give them 4 star. I like sweet but this was way too sugary. I think if they go easy on the sugar it would be better.

The cake donuts were good. The ube was not my fave. Friendly and fast service. Lively and colorful interior. The assorted donuts are so inviting. They have gluten free varieties too.

I don’t know when the decision was made to change the vegan dough recipe, but my word, it is nasty. It doesn’t matter what flavor, they all taste the same. They all have a VERY overpowering cinnamon walnut flavor. I used to always stop on my travels, but I think I may need to find a new sweet treat stop.

Kind of pricey at $2 a donut! Not such a thrill. Just average regular donuts. Can't think of anything that stands out other than the price. I would find a smaller business to support next time.

My review is of the Vegan/GF donut only. It is wet. The texture is almost right, but it's so wet, every time I've had one. And there is an aftertaste. Also I've tried a maple and a mocha and they taste the same. Not sure why, but it's unfortunate. Makes me sad since there are already so few vegan choices in the city. 😔

Another novelty donut shop. Novelty donut shops are popular because of the zany and interesting flavours (cookie crisps cereal on a chocolate chip walnut raisin cronut) but end up really lacking in the actual quality and flavour department. I had a vegan, normal raised, and cake donut here. The vegan donut actually ended up being the best, but was nothing I'd come back for. The other two were pretty substandard. They have a cool donut customization center, which I bet would be really fun for kids, so thats a plus. Overall, I think this place would actually really be really nice for kids, but if you want a really QUALITY donut, unfortunately it might be elsewhere (probably not in SLO).

Creative in their variety. Usually even the vegan ones are delicious. GF not so much. Service team are always great! But when you make a really good thing - like last year's vegan pumpkin donuts (none of us are vegan but we all loved them), why change to a nasty GF one this year? So disappointing to wait a year for their return and then get this instead. Hoping for return of better donuts for the fall season.

Came to this donut shop after dropping my brother off at college. The flavors and designs looked impressive (they have tons of cool options) but the donuts were just not good. The regular sugar sprinkle raised was too sweet and the pillow donuts were undercooked. They were cheap for a highly decorated donut but very underwhelming. Do not recommend.

I’m so sad. Back a few years ago they had vegan donuts (not GF) that were incredible! We recently moved back and went in to find they only have GF donuts that are vegan. I ordered a vanilla (almost $4 for a very small donut). The taste was awful, super strong nutmeg with a weird aftertaste and the texture was all wrong, super wet and sticky and did not hold its shape. I’m vegan but not gluten free so it sucks when places decide to bucket all of the “dietary restrictions” into one option just to make it easiest for themselves. I loved this place and I’m very sad to say I won’t be back. Not a friendly place for vegans!

I've been coming here since I was a kid and the doughnuts are always delicious, but the number of people they continuously attempt to cram into that shop is ridiculous. Half the times I stop by, it feels like it's invaded by rock shows or large groups of sports teams. I expect a 24/ hour coffee shop, primarily used as a study space, to have a calm and peaceful atmosphere, but every time I go here it's chaotic and overwhelming. It ruins the experience. The shows I have been to have been stressful and crowded. Maybe if they were playing chill music, moshing in a 10x10 box of a space, gets people hurt and it's no fun. At the last show I went to, a few families were coming in with their little kids, and college kids were running around drunk or smoking joints outside. Some even smoked inside. It was not what you wanted or expected to see when going to Slodoco. It was very disappointing, it's not the same shop as when I was a kid.

Great staff and a great place to be. The However the Doughnuts are closed to terrible . Slodoco has started off okay and the doughnuts just got worse every year. Dry gritty doughnuts they are often times contaminated , definitely wouldn't eat there if you have allergies. Nothing like a chocolate doughnut that tastes like berries. This place honestly has been has been making me start to think I don't like donuts until I eat one someplace else.
