I just go through the drive thru. Hot dogs are always great. Fries are good and lemonade is great.

Definitely my fav place. They may take a lil minute but your food will be fresh each time. My fav is the junkyard & chili cheeseburger, trust me!

We love coming here. The cashier was friendly, attentive, and had great customer service! The food was on point except we asked for our fries to be EXTRA CRISPY, and they were not! Our hot dogs were hot, fresh, and delicious! Definitely recommend it if you haven't been!

It's a... Wienerschnitzel! It's been a long time since I had a meal at any Wienerschnitzel, but this place brought me right back to the 1970's! Same tasty food for a reasonable price. No wonder I lived on this food when I was in my 20's and just getting started!

ok so im rather taken in awe by this weiner joint here. the name is just almost humorous but not really. thats what ivd always felt and i dont like hot dogs "weiners" wether they are schnitzeled or not... but until we went inside the other day did i realize what a cool place this is. like an old soda shop type place with a fonzie-ish vibe it seemed. but with the coolest varieties of dipped ice cream cones. amazing burgers. no need to be fet all weinered out they got other great options and its very food to and not at all outrageously priced. its rather less expensive than i thought. my bad for assuming all i did just cuz of a weiner. please check it out and go inside n see what u think

OnLY place in the area that has Chicago dogs AND you can upgrade to an all-beef dog. Fries are always top notch- hot and salty. Who woulda thought?? Now I know and I am a fan!

Love this stop only use the drive thru but the staff is always friendly. The food is always great. And we never wait too long even when our order is a little big. The location is not the best as it’s cramped and right off a 5 lane traffic light but it’s worth it to stop and enjoy good food.

Today I was running errands and happened to be near my local Weinerschnitzel. It has been many years since I last visited a Weinerschnitzel so I decided to give it a try. I had the simple Chili Dog. It was very tasty with steaming hot chili and a tender weiner and bun. I enjoyed it very much. The service was fast. I expect to return sometime soon.

Staff is always top notch. The food is awesome. Chili cheese dogs and the Polish sandwich are always a must when nearby.

They have a great team working here today. We walked in on a functioning kitchen, 7days after the reopening of their dining space after 3 years of closure inside. I had no issues ordering a Veggie Polish sandwich, Chicago style, while my buddies each got their favorites. My sandwich came out looking like hot, and tasted as good as it could be, with some of the best produce, vegetables like peppers and tomatoe slices. Better veges than any restaurant of its peers. And the rest of the menu is great. The team working here now rocks!

Look. I don't go here for the atmosphere. I go here for the glizzys and the corn dogs. Always perfect, and the staff is always courteous. Yeah it can get hot inside, the floor can be slippery, and there may be an odd mildew smell, but the hot dogs are consistently great. You'll always know what you're getting when you go there. Also the fries are on point.

Weinerschnitzel was really good for what it is. We had a hotdog, corndogs, a burger, fries, and a dip cone. Food is basic, but everything was tasty, hot, and fast. They do not have brats, just their smoked hotdogs, but lots of topping options, including chili, onions, cheese, pickles, various sauces...all the good stuff. If you're looking for good, reasonably priced hotdogs, nothing fancy, you're in the right place. The burger was actually really good, with real beef flavor. Fries were McD's adjacent. Service was excellent, and when they made the wrong burger, they fixed it right away. The sweet tea is very sweet. They have a diner feel, and you can see the kitchen (always a good sign). Plenty of parking and seating.

There is the NICEST guy at the drive thru! Tall dark haired ( sorry didn't catch his name) I had forgotten my wallet and he gave me an ice water! Thank you for being so kind!!

I’m writing this review for two reasons. The first reason is Xaile! I’ve been coming here for a long time and every time I come here whether it’s to dine in or drive-through she is here and she is absolutely amazing at what she does. Her customer service is spectacular and I hope whoever the owners are of this place, realizes the asset they have in her. Promote her give her more money Because she is excellent. I did not learn her name until this afternoon, but I always recognize her face and she Has always had a smile and a great attitude every interaction I’ve had with her. The second reason I’m writing this is because y’all gotta get rid of that ridiculous AI ordering system. That thing is just dumb. It makes it more difficult for your employees and it makes it more difficult for your customers. I get wanting to move into the future, but we ain’t reinventing the wheel here we’re buying and selling hotdog right? The old saying if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. That AI thing is broke and y’all need to fix that.

First time going to a wienerschnitzel and I have to say it was really good. Chili dog was good. Soda was extra crisp the way I like it and the fruit loop dipped Ice cream cone is amazing!!!.

This may be a controversial opinion but place is honestly the closest thing you can get to the old local chili dog stand ,and I will die on that hill🥺 it's a convenient walking distance from me ,they never disappoint also PERFECT hangover food 👌🏼 I do hate the Ai lady on the drive thru tho so much so that i only order inside now lol but that doesn't effect my review ♥️

S/o the night manager Marquis. I drive from Austin to San Marcos even though there’s a location closer to me on Braker lane. I pulled up at exactly 9:30pm when I noticed he was locking the dining area. The sign on the window says the indoor dining closes at 10pm and I know this because I been coming here for months. I appreciate the fact that he opened the door and had a conversation with me and he explained that when it’s slow they close early. After I explained my situation and how far I have to drive he allowed me to come in and dine. We need more people like marquis that are able to think for themselves and not just regurgitate words like a robot. This is the kind of person that won’t be replaced by Ai technology. Sometimes the littlest things make the biggest difference.

We pulled up at midnight a few nights ago - tired & hungry on a spring break road trip. The gentleman working the drive thru was super helpful and polite. They made our food hot & fresh & everything we asked for was in the bag. Great service & hot chili dogs - thank you!

Had a moment of wanting a good coney... & noticed a sign on highway for this restaurant. For a hotdog, it's pretty good. Not that impressed with the chili topping. Just not like the coney I personally had in mind. However, the employees were awesome & service was fast!

It's okay. I know going in that it was a fast food hot dog, but both the chili dog and the Chicago dog were just okay. Giving it 4 stars because they offer frozen treats too. If you've got an itch for a hot dog and a frozen treat, this is perfect.

They are always super nice. I go through the drive thru for a shake or some mini corn dogs every now and then. I also pick up doorsash sometimes. It's really slow in the drive thru. But it is very consistent with the service and the food quality.

If you like all sorts of hot dogs (me, I love chili dogs!), this is a good place. Lots of variety and pretty tasty food. Counter service is only average and (IMHO) prioritizes the drive-thru over customers dining in. Dining area is a little sub-par, but nice outdoor seating in favorable weather.

The good was better than expected. While the Chicago got isn't quite authentic... It was absolutely delicious and at a reasonable price point. However the establishment is in dire need of some TLC. The building was borderline filthy everywhere that I looked. Service was understaffed and slow but the employees were very kind.

Update 5/2025: The AI ordering doesn’t do well with specialized orders — just ask for a human if it messes up! Until they fix it, I will be dropping it down 1 star because the food is so good and the owners are really cool. Also, use coupons instead of veterans discount, they only take one or the other.

If you haven’t been in awhile just know the 5 mix and match deal is no longer available and ask for easy ice with the lemonade or you’ll only get about 3 or four good sips before it’s gone. The food was good and the fries were hot. So it’s still worth the trip

Its quality fast food hotdogs and more. Good selection of different food to choose from Good beef flavor with a nice snap in the bite of the dog. Poppers were spicy which was really good. The bacon Ranch fries were good too.

This was my first time at Wienerschnitzel in years. I had the junkyard hotdog, and I substituted ketchup for mustard. I also had a small fry and a medium strawberry lemonade. The food was fine and the restaurant was very clean. The dining area is pretty small, so if you have a large group, I'd suggest ordering to go. My dining experience was fine, and I'd visit again sometime.

Tried it out for dinner, we were running behind on time and when we pulled there was no long wait. Made out order and it was ready promptly. We had the jalapeño poppers, corn dogs, double cheeseburger, and chili cheese hot dogs, & the chili cheese bacon ranch fries. Everything was good.

I was really disappointed in the quantity and quality of the food. For ten dollars I was expecting to get something more filling. Two very simple hot dogs with greasy chili meat sauce and fries with chili meat sauce. Had to ask for the onions, didn't bother to look for the relish sauce. Cheese per item, might not look expensive, but I skipped it because it was already more than I really wanted to spend for a couple hot dogs. Friendly staff bumped rating up.

Good franchise if you're in the mood for hotdogs. This location was ok but I felt the fries and hotdogs tasted like they had been sitting there awhile. Also the prices seem a little high for what you get. The summer lemonades were all very good and refreshing.

This place is due for a good clean; there is food behind the table and benches. Usually good place to eat but service here has to be upgraded. the cashier that help my wife was not attentive she got the order wrong, and then said she gave us the best deal. Money was not the issue. do not assume that I am looking for a deal. Very unsatisfactory.

It has been a while since I have visited a Weinerschnitzel. Outside was ok. It was clean and appeared to be well maintained. Inside was ok. Although it was clean but still needed a good wipe down everywhere. Floor to ceiling. It took a couple of minutes to get service at the order station. A but slow for only having one other person inside and a few cars in the drive through. The person that came to the counter was friendly and helpful. Order made and delivered after a short wait. The building was fine but everything inside appeared to be dated and in need of a refresh. Not much seating for people with need for something other than a booth. Overall, it was a Weinerschnitzel experience. Not what I remember from past visits. I would return if in the area.

Sorry but worst chili cheese dogs ever had in 50+ years. I drove over 6 5 hours to get to Texas and could not wait to eat there. Even gave it a second chance before I drove 7 hours back home.

This place is showing its disconnect from the customer. The staff do not speak English they just tapped the bag on the counter when it was ready. Food was okay but took way to long to get it. They finished the drive through which was 6 cars deep before they gave us ours after we had placed the order. Do not recommend this place.

Not sure the point of ordering ahead, if they don't start making your order until you arrive. Then staff ignores you while you're talking. Food is great, definitely recommend the cucumber lemonade, and mini corn dog bites, and the polish sandwich-though the bread isn't toasted, is yummy. Bathroom was very strong bleach smell, almost overwhelming, but it was clean.

The management and the service are great. People are trained well and very polite. But the chili on that chili dog is the worst chili dog chili I have ever tasted. It's like syrupy plastic. There's no resemblance to anything called chili. So I changed to the Chicago dog which tasted pretty good except it was a tiny little half inch diameter weiner. Had the peppers and the veggies on it like a Chicago dog but the bun was wrong and the wiener was tiny. I thought maybe a place called Wienerschnitzel would have chili that was edible and would have a Chicago dog that wasn't a tiny morsel. Oh well... Not to mention the air conditioner wasn't working on 100 plus degree day. But, I don't want to fault the local management because these chains like this it's usually higher up than that. Not to mention the poor employees working back in that kitchen we're suffering. My main complaint is a chili dog with plastic synthetic chili.

Veggie dogs were $3.99 until today. The price increased 40% to $5.59. Why such a big increase?

Granted, we did show up about 15 minutes before closing, but that's no excuse to have forgotten half our meals and then refuse to make it right 5 minutes later when I showed back up to try to get everything. You cannot try and seriously tell me that you "Shut everything down and can't do anything for me" when we were there not even 5 minutes prior. So you're telling me that you didn't even make the food that was supposed to go into our meals at all? If it was just a mistake of not putting it in the bag then it should still be in there made, and nothing should even be needing to be done anyway. We did not spend almost $50 only to get half our food, be then be treated rudely when returning for it. The young lady with an attitude who insisted there was nothing they would do and could only take my name saying I would have to return tomorrow for it didn't even make the slightest bit of effort to write my name down when I gave it to her. I live in Austin for Christ's sake and was only in San Marcos for a job. Just ridiculous

Abraham was the WORST manager I've ever dealt with!!! I have gone to Wienerschnitzel all my life!!! I'm 55. He was rude and didn't care what he's an employee or we were saying. I ordered a combo which comes with a small fry and drink. And ordered several hot dogs and a small fry, no salt. The employee was told they no longer sold small fries. Since when?! So, I said a medium was fine. They were cold he didn't care. He refused to give us the small fry that came with the combo. We finally received our drink. I've come to this Wienerschnitzel for 27 years and have not EVER been treated so rudely, unprofessional, and not smart. My friend that was with us had not EVER been to a Wienerschnitzel, and she was mortified!!

I usually like this place but today was weird. The girl at the window didn't understand what I was ordering. I made myself clear twice and just encountered dead air from her end. I don't know if the headset was faulty? I am loud so I did speak up 3 times. By the time I got to the window, I was annoyed with her lack of knowledge and her acting like she didn't hear me! I realize most of our fast food employees are young and they are in their first jobs, but there seems to be lots of training these places leave out. My chili dogs were drenched and soggy. They have done better in the past. Let's hope they get it together.

1/7/2025 I pulled up to the drive thru and Ordered 35 chili cheese dogs and the manager on duty huffed at me and then asked me if I could order that inside and I said "No I came thru the drive thru for a reason" he then proceeded to tell me (with attitude) that he will have to pull me because He can't have this run up his drive time! I proceeded to tell him that his drive time should NEVER be the customers problem! I just went ahead and left because at this point I don't trust you with my food! I don't get weinersnitzels but once every 2 or 3 years because we have NO locations in OKC. I'm absolutely appalled by this experience and will NEVER come back to this location! It is clear the GM is down the throats of the shift managers about drive time. Are these the new standards for weinersnitzels? Is this why the brand is slowly fading out? Is this why all locations i have been to on my trip this week have empty parking lots? I grew up eating weinersnitzels and this kind of service breaks my heart for the future sales of this Epic food chain that is slowly fading out! I hope that a District manager gets to this location and Trains the crew on proper procedures for BASIC Customer service!

We came to Wienerschnitzel hoping for a good German-style sausage, based on some decent online reviews, but sadly, our experience was disappointing. The place smelled like old grease when we walked in, the floor was sticky, and there were dirty napkins and overflowing trash bins. We tried the Texas BBQ Dog, Chili Cheese Dog, Double Cheeseburger, and Bacon Ranch Chili Cheese Fries. The hot dogs were okay in flavor, but poorly assembled, and everything was falling apart, making a complete mess. The burger was honestly one of the worst we’ve ever had. The patty seemed half-frozen and tasted really bad. The fries were soggy, overly greasy, and topped with chewy bacon. To make matters worse, we got stomach aches almost immediately and couldn’t finish the food. The only redeeming part of the visit was the friendly service from the guy at the counter. He was polite and helpful, which we appreciated. Still, it’s highly unlikely we’ll be coming back.

Ever since they implemented an AI voice system to take your order, service has been terrible. Obviously it’s not working well, customers are not satisfied, it is not making staffs jobs easier. Whoever suggested this transition is so obviously out of touch with the community culture of San Marcos, which is not in support of the expansion of artificial intelligence when we are a community built around respecting water as a resource. it is pretty disgusting to waste a precious resource to avoid paying a minimum wage college student to take our order. Get rid of the stupid AI bot and let a human have a human job.

Worst experience ever. Order #1 with cheese and chilli fries. Please put extra mustard in bag. Chilling cheese fries we’re packing chilli and cheese. No mustard and no straw for my drink.

Service and food were both horrible.Upon receiving the wrong order, the cashier admitted it was the wrong order, the manger told me I ordered incorrectly. What a stupid statement. It was raining and the tile floors were very slick with no warning signs or mats. I was aware and careful but some might not have been.

I was very disappointed with my experience at this location. When I visited a couple weeks ago, the service was slow, and everyone seemed uninterested in helping us. We waited over 15 minutes just to place our order, and when the food finally was ready, it was cold and incorrect. When I politely brought this up, the response was dismissive and unprofessional, which made the situation worse. The owner was there and was completely inconsiderate. As a customer, I expect basic courtesy and attention, especially when paying full price. There was serval other occasions that something similar has happened and it is unfortunate to see nothing has changed. I know this has happened to several other people and I think it's time to have new owners if they want to keep loyal customers. I hope this feedback is taken seriously. The only thing that made this experience here better was the young lady taking the order.

I don’t understand why this restaurant uses ai on the drive through speakers and then continues to blame the customer for it not working correctly, rather than stepping in and using their microphone to talk to the customer themselves. It is one of the most difficult processes and it’s ridiculous to deal with. Makes the drive through experience way longer than it needs to be for “fast” food. Every time I have to deal with this process it makes me want to go to wienerschnitzel way less. Stupid way to run a restaurant. Food was fine, experience was just downright bad.

I got chili cheese fries, chili cheese dog, jalapeño poppers, and a medium mango lemonade. I’m eating my chili cheese fries and saw something. I pulled it out and what did I find a long hair strand in my fries. You can tell it came from my fries it still had some cheese attached to it. This is disgusting and it tells me no one wears hair net in there. That was my first and last time ordering from here.
