Of course, we are a typical tourists who wanted to queue for Ganbara or Bar Nestor, after coming to San Sebastián a few times, it is time to act like a local - We stopped by here for drinks and decided to come back for food. We are so surprised how good the food were and it was inexpensive., but the grilled Ceps or mushroom is just as good, at Ganbara, it is a mixed mushroom but here you get Ceps only. Amazing beer and Sangria priced locally, trust me there are a few places just around the corner with double the price. Amazing champagne selection if you would like celebrate!

First spot in town. Friendly stuff. Pricewise no bad. Must eat=scallops wth garlic+artichoke salad. With txakoli aside for sure. Njoy.

Delicious tapas in a lively atmosphere with quick and attentive service. Really beautiful set up at the counter with girolle mushrooms spread across the display. A top choice to start on your pintxos journey! By time we arrived they were out of their tune tartar and sashimi platters but will definitely be back to try if in the area again.

I had the taco de txuleta which was really tasty but when I was going to leave I saw the pulpo and I absolutely had to try it. Look at the size of that thing! Absolutely delicious. Also went back a second time and the Carrilleras (beef cheeks) were amazing. It was busy at lunch but they were adequately staffed for good service and the owner is very friendly.

Delicious Pintxos. I was having lunch on my own and was warmly welcomed. I don’t speak Spanish and the waitress was able to translate and make good suggestions. Very good vegetarian options.

Called in for lunch. The scallops were the highlight but the steak, prawns and foie were also amazing. Very reasonably priced too.

Sitio que tiene tapas muy ricas aunque recomiendo la de las fotos, sin duda un bar por el que hay que pasar. Totalmente recomendable

Solo pude probar las croquetas de garbanzos, que estaban muy ricas pero les faltaba un poco de sal para mi gusto. De seguro tienen otros pintxos deliciosos, el lugar es bastante concurrido y tiene un buen ambiente.

Lugar en pleno centro Atencio deja mucho que desear, solo hay un personal para que atiendan a todo la clientela, la cocina está en la misma sala, el personal no te atiende bien, pero también se se tienden porque está solo trabajando y con toda la gente que entrada, yo sigo sin entenderlo, pero bueno, La comida : pedimos unos conchas de abanico , que de sabor estaba buena , pero la presentación estaba mala , de sabor estaba comible, lo hacen al momento , tiene como una salsa de de mariscos con queso y un encurtido de cebolla encima. Luego pedí Volcán , que es carne de txuleta solo ala plancha con la yema de huevo a temperatura, y sal gruesa y aceite, el huevo estaba recocinado, la carne estaba buena, pero no fue la gran cosa , pedimos vino también . Tiempo de espera 5 min, por cada plata, todo lo hacen al momento . Con salsa de ajos y cebolla frita Te dan pan Menú regular Definitivamente no regresaría. Habiendo tantos lugares al arededor. Total cuenta 25€

Primera parada de pintxos en lo viejo. Recientemente reformado, limpio y con muchas cositas ricas. El personal muy amable y bastante atentos a pesar de la jauría pidiendo bebida y comida por todos los flancos. La verdad es que le echan una paciencia que no veas. Todo lo que pedimos estaba bueno y bien elaborado. El día acompañaba y se estaba fenomenal en la calle. Nos pilló puente y después de tanto confinamiento estabamos todos sedientos y exaltados 😅 habrá que echarle un poco de humor. Recomendable.

En el casco viejo de Donosti, buen sitio para tomar algo. 2 bilbainitos y 2 txakolis 12€ para que os vayáis haciendo a la idea.

La calidad de los pintxos es bastante buena, y el servicio fue bastante bueno y rápido. A destacar el pintxo de solomillo, para mi fue el mejor sin duda. Me resultó un poco caro para la cantidad de los platos. Por ejemplo la ración de albondigas fue escasisima, 12 euros una ración de 4 albondigas me parece excesivo. En general no estuvo mal pero hay sitios mejores.

This place was OK but not as expected. The food and the staff were tired. We chatted to other tourists and they were not impressed either. The beer was excellent and the young staff smiled and were polite but did not know about the food and seemed anxious. They perhaps need a mature guiding hand to achieve their potential? The txakoli and rosado wine were sour. The area felt a bit lairy but as football fans were in town perhaps this added to an edgy vibe. Maybe as the season gets going it will feel more relaxed and the food will improve. It's not terrible and we didn't try every dish.

Compared to other places in San Sebastián the place is simply overpriced in the restaurant. We paid 98.5 EUR and for 2 starters, 2 main courses and 3 drinks. The sirloin steak with chips were below average, presentation was poor. The ham croquettes were delicious, but that is all!

Llegamos al postre y encontramos un pelo en la mermelada que acompañaba la tarta de queso. Unfortunately, neither the food nor the service were memorable for us. The best way I can describe dining here is “no warmth”. You cannot feel the passion from the people working there, and it reflects in the food too. We got the fried white asparagus, but it was actually fried “shaved” white asparagus. They shaved the white asparagus into very thin slices before frying, causing it to lose the juice asparagus texture and flavor that you would expect from biting into one. The end result is that you feel like what you are eating could be anything, as you cannot taste any unique flavor aside from the batter. We also ordered the artichoke salad which had a symbol next to it on the menu indicating that it won some award. If everything was prepared fresh then maybe it would taste like an award-winning dish, but what we got was a salad clearly put together with ingredients that’s been sitting out for a long time. Far from the refreshed feeling that salads often give, we felt mildly uncomfortable after eating it. This place is on the expensive side as well. Overall, I do not recommend dining here.

Ridiculous place. Half empty at 10:30pm on a Thursday. We come in for drinks after dinner. Try to sit down at one of the multiple empty tables and are told no, those are for customers with food - utterly ridiculous given the restaurant is half empty. So we order some pinxtos JUST so we can sit down and even THAT'S not good enough - apparently we have to order off the dinner menu??? This would be fair enough if the place were busy, but there was no one there! I just left my drink and walked out, I was so mad.
