Habíamos oído que en el Bar Antonio ponían el mejor pintxo de tortilla de toda San Sebastián… y la verdad es que está de auténtico escándalo. Es la especialidad indiscutible de la casa, y con razón: lleva cebolla caramelizada y pimiento verde, tiene una textura densa y crujiente por fuera, y un interior jugoso y sabroso, con ese equilibrio perfecto que solo se consigue cuando todo está en su punto. Nos gustó tanto que repetimos sin pensarlo. Si vas a Donosti, es parada obligatoria. Volveremos sin duda, y lo recomiendo con los ojos cerrados.

Local institution popular with tourists, so there’s often a wait and you’ll probably need to squeeze in and get cozy with other diners. The ambiance is usually great, and the people running the place are really nice and efficient. Highly recommend the tortilla, which is only served for breakfast. Special mention for the Crujiente de rabo (ravioli stuffed with oxtail with a sprinkle of parmesan) and the langoustine ravioli, which reminded me of a Chinese wonton.

Came here for a tortilla in the morning. It was so, so yummy and worth the wait. All the seats were taken, so we had to eat at the standing counter. A tortilla and an espresso made the perfect start to the day.

Not just for its signature tortilla de patatas — a three-inch-thick omelette unlike any we’ve ever tried, with a lightly toasted crust and scrumptious layers of potato and caramelized onion, all held softly together by egg. And not just for what I think are its Michelin-worthy pintxos either — “Arzak-style” creations like scallops a la plancha with truffle purée, oxtail crisps, and the mind-blowingly good prawn ravioli in Martini sauce. But mostly, for the warm, lively atmosphere in this tiny Donostia bar even on a rainy evening — plates of tortilla flying off the counter, the cerveza tap flowing nonstop, and the two waiters casually chatting with guests from all over the world. Everyone squeezed in shoulder to shoulder, sharing some of the best food San Sebastián has to offer. If you ever find yourself in this corner of northern Spain, don’t miss Bar Antonio. I honestly think this was some of the best food I ate on my trip to Spain. We got the croquettes and Arzak (unbelievable, its like a deconstructed tortilla - the peppers really made it for me). The servers were great, really lively and fun. It's a very laid-back but busy spot. We had to wait 20ish minutes to get a space, but it was worth the wait.

Place is an institution and packed like a can of sardines. If you can't handle the heat then don't come. They serve their famous tortilla and be aware the main menu is after 1230 afternoon. Guys are hustling behind the bar so be ready to order. As Arnold said. . . I'll be back! I'm back - 2 days later. My friend Manuel took care of us again. If you’re in town, this is one of those must-visit breakfast spots that truly captures the local spirit. Just get there early, bring a little patience, and you’ll be rewarded with one of the best tortillas you’ll ever have.

Everything we ordered was just incredible! This was the best pinxo bar we went to throughout all our stay in San Sebastián, it was recommended by a local friend of mine. I would definitely recommend #1 ravioli de langostino #2 vieiras (scallops) and #3 the solomillo (tenderloin). The tortilla is only served from 9 am til noon, so we went again the next day. It was totally worth it.

My favorite pintxos bar in Donostia! Every single person working here was extremely friendly and welcoming. Tortilla was amazing, it cannot be missed! If you go after 12, you should also try crispy oxtail, prawn ravioli, grilled scallops and Igueldo!

The best tortilla I had on my trip. I wish I could go back. The staff are very clearly used to managing large groups of tourists coming for their tortilla. They had a funny nonchalant way of serving everyone. We arrived after they had served the last tortilla. So we had to wait 30 minutes - the last group cycled out and other started to show up.

Antonio Bar manages to be both traditional and inventive. The highlights were unforgettable: the ravioli de gambas with Martini sauce is a small masterpiece, delicate yet bursting with flavor, while the crujiente de rabo (oxtail) was rich, crispy, and deeply satisfying. Their tortilla is beautifully made, perfectly soft inside, and the best I tasted in Donostia. Not everything hit the same heights and I must say the scallops and the pistachio cheesecake were very good but not as delicious as the rest. Service is friendly and efficient and the atmosphere lively without being overwhelming. If you’re pintxo-hopping in San Sebastián, Antonio Bar is a must-stop on the route.

We weren’t lucky enough to get a portion of the famous tortilla, but the waiter was kind enough to offer us something similar, and it was great, just like the other pintxos we tried. The calamares were outstanding; I don’t remember ever having any quite as good. And of course, the gazpacho was lovely: tangy with vinegar and a good splash of olive oil. We stood outside at the “bar” and it felt incredibly cool, the crowd around us also added to the good vibes. A strong recommendation for everyone!

So we had a chat having some pinxtos in the old town and a local told us about this place with the best tortilla in town. So we went there the next day for lunch, and indeed the tortilla was amazing. We had two servings, nothing else! There was a line outside but it didn't take long, the staff pays attention when there is room inside or outside for you. Great food, great service what more to say, absolutely worth to check it out.

Hace tiempo que quería probarlo, pero siempre hay gente. Lo que tengo claro es que deben hacer las tortillas por tandas, y por lo que me han ido diciendo, suelen hacer sobre las 9, 11 y luego sobre las 18:30 (yo cogí a esta hora y sacaron 2 tortillas grandes). Tortilla de patata: yendo al grano, la tortilla está buena, creo que fueron 3€ lo cual, bueno, a día de hoy precio "normal". La ración es correcta, la preparación es muy diferente a lo normal: bien caramelizado y jugosa. No obstante, me faltó la explosión de sabor umami, no está nada mal, pero no creo que volveré a esperar y estar apretado en el bar para tomarme un pintxo de tortilla y más sabiendo la de buenas tortillas que hay por Donostia en el centro. No obstante, los trabajadores son un amor, atentos, rápidos y eficientes. Buen sitio para probar, pero pequeño, muy abierto, lo que hace que haga frío, y con buena calidad de comida, pero lo dicho.

De los mejores pintxos de Donosti. Impresionante calidad del Igeldo y del de gambones. Chuletón de gran calidad y precios razonables. Servicio muy profesional en la barra y cercano del personal que atiende a los clientes. Es, de alguna manera, un lugar más auténtico en un Donbosti demasiado previsible a nivel de hostelería.

Local chiquitín (se llena con facilidad) con unos camareros majísimos. La tortilla de patata en el plato de la vitrina impone y si la pruebas está buenísima. Una patata hecha de forma espectacular. Eso sí, como en toda la capital hay que llevar la cartera llena.

Buen lugar de pinchos ! Fuimos a probar su tortilla, pero solo lo sirven por las mañanas. En su lugar nos dieron un pincho parecido (huevo a baja temperatura con patatas de tortilla y más.. ) y estaba muy rico.

Ibamos con intención de probar la tortilla y fue una pena que no sacasen en ese momento. Tienen un horario concreto en el que sacan tortillas. Ademas el espacio es reducido, por lo que hay que hacer cola y compartir mesa. Aún así los pintxos que probamos estaban buenisimos y merece la pena la visita. El camarero fue muy atento y amable. Volveremos para probar esa tortilla.

Vamos por partes, la tortilla es un espectáculo, pero el resto de pintxos no merecen la pena. Después no abren pronto, por lo que cuando llegas a almorzar ya está aquello saturado de guiris y no tienes manera de comer en condiciones. En resumen, fui a desayunar, pero a comer fué imposible.

Sabor agridulce. Pedimos 2 pintxos de tortilla y 2 cañas y nos cobraron 15,80€... Un precio que creemos excesivo... Pagamos la caña a precio de cañón.
