My son went and got food to go for us. We had the cheese encilada combo. OMG, outstanding, truly Mexican. I oooed and ahhed throughout the meal. Excellent, need I say more?

Love their burritos. Especially the carne asada burrito and the breakfast burritos. They are kinda slow, but the prices and food are worth it.

It was really bussy, I went kind of late, so only the drive trugh was open, I ordered the carne asada fries and they were really good, I highly recommended, customer service was great and so was the food.

Food it's great, but new cashier charge wrong the food, so be careful people and check your receipts cuz 4 buck is a gallon of gas.... Don't get me wrong people food is delicious..... have no problem with it

I've known one of the cooks there for over 26 years (Joaquin). Serves me up as well as he did back when he had his own restaurant. Food is fresh and well proportioned. The Salsa Roja is best when he makes it.

I love their rolled tacos, but I've tried a couple of burritos that I like as well. These guys have drive thru, so I recommend it if you want a fast and good lunch

I love their Carne asada burritos , The main lady that takes the orders. Through drive through. She is on top of her game. She's always on point. She never messes up my order. She puts my Pico on the side. She never messes that up, She knows what salsa I get all the time. And always knows how much to give me. She's the main lady there. She is cool. When you guys go there? I hope you guys tip her. She deserves it. I'm sure they all split the tip.

My wife and I used to come to this restaurant often, but we moved and haven't eaten here for around 5 years, So it was a great surprise to find that the quality and taste of the food has not change... this was the first time for my kids, and we loved it.

Pretty great food. Usually come via drive thru. Carne asada fries are awesome.

I like to get the chilles rellenos when they have them on special delicious, I also like the carne asada burritos, tacos dorados and my boys like the carne asada fries... I like their drive through window, I have never been inside the restaurant but window service is quick, the only thing is that seems like portions have gotten smaller and the price has gotten higher but it's just convenient when you have a craving late at night and don't have to get out of your car... ENJOY!

Good food, wait times are up and down but it's a good place to get drive through burritos late night. Can get pricey with add-ons but if you like your California burrito with guacamole it's worth it.

I don't like the 1 dollar transaction for a debit or credit card. The food is good, but it's not great. I would recomend it

Ive been coming here since a little girl & i really like it. But the older lady that has been working here for years is always in a bad mood. Her customer service is horrible. Her bad attitude ruins our appetite 😑

The food there is GREAT, I've been going to this place since I was a kid, really love their bacon, eggs, potatoes and cheese burrito, the only BUT is their terrible COSTUMER SERVICE, the lady that has been there for years seems like she's forced to be there.

Decent priced , regular Americanized "Mexican" food. Their interior though, is improvised with random posters on the walls (flowers and grizzly bears), their salsas are regular. No public restroom.Their chairs and tables are from the 1980s and they refill Tapatio bottles (faded label and markings of dried sauce dripped by someone); this stuff is normal at the "hood" Taco Shops though. Employees are dry (attitude, not their skin, I wasn't close enough to check their dark-colored dermis).

Fake Mexican food, wet burrito covered with caned red tasteless salsa and whipped beans also from the can. Taco adobada however, is acceptable.

Chilaquilas for breakfast. Eggs cooked perfect. Not too spicy. Very good portions. Not too pricey for California.

Today 7/15/2012 had an incident their where the lady was really rude and charged me 13 dlls for a California burrito. i normally pay 6 dlls their but then she through me my food and said leave Tomarrow ill be going and report it to the manager. do not go their

Good food here, but has a skeleton crew that makes the drive through take forever, they're also very stingy about salsa distribution. Only good as a last resort, rather make the drive to Armando's, or even late night fast food.

The food is okay, only complaint is the lady that runs the register. She tends to be really rude all the time, i think she is the owner because she is always there, which makes have a bitter attitude all the time. Such a shame or else I would gladly give it an extra star

Carne asada was good but that's all they had. No lingua, no cabesa, no al pastor: All they had was Asada meat. And then They only had 2 kinds flavors fresh water drinks banana and water melon. No horchata

The food is good, just like all the Roberto's Taco Shops in town ... However, the drive thru service is really slow. NOT all people who drive through are too lazy to get out of their vehicles. Some of us are on our lunch break and need to get in and out as quickly so we can return to work. The lady at whe drive up window had NO SENSE of urgency ... I would go back for the good food but, I have to make sure I am not on a tight schedule in case the same "Slow Walking Joan" is at the drive thru window !!!

Salsa could used work and flavor(Green/Red) The food is greasy I notice they used the same oil for tacos/roll tacos/ chicken all fried on same grease. you are eating a bit of everything when u ask for any food the oil looks like the same one for the whole business day. Been there from morning to night same oil. The meat is process come from a package. Chewy and some times salty . The natural waters are powder nothing fresh. The best part is every time I have to take a dump. I buy something here and 5 minutes later I go. It also pricey. $$

My experience is based off several burrito orders in the past months. Taste and quality is overall good, the attendant could polish up on their customer service. It always seems like you’re bothering them when you’re placing an order.

Food is good not great, very expensive and there portion size is very small compared to any other taco shops. Since they have no other competitors in the area they charge whatever they want.

ordered a burrito mojado, and as a meat choice, i went with carnitas . that's ALL that was in the burrito ... no beans, rice, onions or cilantro . the flour tortilla was tough to cut through and the carnitas wasn't what i imagined . also, the food lacked some flavor . wasn't worth the money i spent, in my own opinion .

I loved coming here but as of recent, the quality of customer service is so terrible that it just isn't worth the food. The meals are decently good and prices aren't too bad. It claims to be 24 hours but I've been there at all hours of the night and the workers take "breaks" that have lasted well over an hour.

It's an alright place, I wouldn't reccomend eating here although their portions are out of control. Foods bland and no real quality meat, you can tell they use cheap meat to cut corners, oh and their fish tacos atrocious

The food here is great and it isn't too expensive. The only reason I'll give this place 2 stars is for the abysmal customer service. In particular the old lady that works there. If she's an employee, please fire her. If she's the owner, then please find someone who doesn't run your customers away because I plan on never returning.

Food was good, a bit expensive and a $1 extra for sour cream seemed to be a lot since the total came out to $11 just for carne asada fries. The service was not good at all, cashier was rude and dry. Was given carne asada fries without sour cream even though I paid for it and when we told the cook about it he gave us attitude. The food is okay but the main worker who runs the register and drive thru is terrible, ive been in arguements with her because she would only give me 2 salsa cups when i asked for 4. Well yes some of the food is ok but horrible bad customer service yes I understand that you are tired I called in to make an order yes they took it but when i got there they had me wait outside for about 10-15 minutes then they called me to go to the drive thur I paid when I got home the burritos were so COLD that I couldn’t eat it and they write the name of the burrito on the paper and they mixed it up I tried to call them but I receive no answer WOW !!!!!!!!!!

This is the worst Mexican food in south San Diego! No joke seriously, please don't waist your money here. i tried the California burrito and it was really bad the tortillas is not fresh the meat is dry the fries are soggy. since this place is close from were i live i decided to give it a second chance so i tried the carne asada fries and they were horrible! if your craving a california burrito i recommend cilandros by Imperal beach or jilbertos by third and palm you wont be disappointed peace.

The lady that works there with the short hair is the worst. When she gives you your change back. You usually count it. While your counting it she opens the drive thru window and says your change is all there. Rude, very narrow minded. Have been going there for years. Roberto's lost a life time customer. Also, ordered some carrots from her. She forgot to give them to me. I said, what about my carrots? She said oh yeah. The next time she complained to me saying she had to pay for the carrots out of her pocket. Carrots are 99 cents. She thought I was going to give her the money for the carrots. Go somewhere else where you can have a pleasant experience.

From my experience the food here is just so bland especially for what you pay. Considering how much better the food is at almost every place nearby I'm not sure how they stay open we only tried it the one time because weve lived close by for years and never gone before then. I thought it might've just been me but everyone else in my family agreed 4/4 people think this place is bad. Average prices + bland food= not worth your time or consideration. Do yourself a favor and just Google food and pick any other place close by!

I came here last night to buy my wife a California burrito and she got food poisoning. This is not the first time this has happened many years ago I got food poisoning but since I live only two blocks away I started coming back and I know the food isn't too great but when you only live two blocks away sometimes you just don't want to go too far for food I really wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.

We went yesterday for some late night food after work. We ordered a California burrito and rolled tacos. The food wasn't freshly made. The tacos were hard to eat and chew on. The California burrito was below averag. Their guacamole tasted watery. After ouDDO meal we felt sick. So much we ended in urgent care/emergency room and were told we got food poisoning. DO NOT RECOMMEND

Don't bother! They can't handle more than 2 customers at time. I've been living near them for over 9 years and I rather go to IB for Mexican food. Everytime I attempt to get something from them, they take forever and I usually have to bail on them. I've tasted their food once out of several attempts, it was good, but that was a couple years ago. I honestly don't think they care at all about wait times. No urgency.

I went to order California Burritos and asked for Pollo Asado instead of Carne Asada but instead I got shredded chicken with a tomatoe sauce. I live locally and have been coming for years for breakfast burritos. I will never return again, I spent nearly $20 for two of the most disgusting burritos I've ever had. Worst place to ever buy Mexican food. Where is customer service? They gave me flat burritos for $50 ignored me when I complained told me to come back to speak to the owners I don’t have time for this and to be quite honest it’s not the best Mexican food. I bought california burritos and as i was giving a bite i felt something hard it was half of a toothpick. Opened up the burrito and found the other half of the toothpick. They are super stingy if you as for 3 extra salsas. They only give 2 small salsas per burrito. The drive -thru wait is ridiculous. The lady that is in drive-thru is always in a bad mood. Ive called a couple times to make an order and on this case to let them know about the toothpick on my food and they never answered. 😒 i love their california burritos but its always something with that place.

Don't know the deal with this place, been here for a long time (20+ years) don't know if it's same owners all this time, but it's hard to imagine how they stay in business. Didn't want to drive back to CV so I gave this place a try against my better judgement. The chorizo and egg breakfast burrito was one of the worst if not THE worst food item I've ever eaten. Egg was basically non-existent and red grease oozing out was enough to make 4 more burritos. I would've preferred to give away $7.35 to a homeless person than to spend it here.

I was visiting this area last night and happened to stop by here, the woman that was the cashier was extremely dry and had no customer service skills, i asked for shredded beef nachos and instead she gave me a shredded beef taco instead. I realized it when i got to my friends house and went back. When I order beef roll tacos I expect beef inside of them. I ordered 12, when I bit into a taco a very small tiny piece of meat came out. All the tacos were the same. Basically it was 12 fried rolled tortillas …it was laughable. Also be advised they charge you 99 cents for debit and credit card transactions.

Horrible customer service by the old Mexican lady. This is not the only review about her, 22+ to be exact. I went to pick a burrito and she was literally yelling at a customer! The customer wasn't even defensive at all! I left and did not pick up the burrito after that. I have been here several times and she is always dry and rude, but I really didn't care much. But after witnessing this today. I cannot longer come here. Word of mouth travels far.

I got a order of Carne Asada chips which cost me a total of $15. The order was rushed ,I got the order in about 5 minutes. The bag was lite ,the chips barely had meat and the meat had no flavor. The top of it only looked ok but overall the quality and quantity for the price was horrible.Meat at the local market cost you $7 for like for 1&1/2 pounds ruffle. Their prices don't go hand in hand with food quality and quantity.

Oh my lord I thought I was in trouble. Lol Anyway for my personnel cravings the food there is way to greasy for me,. Food doesn’t have much flavor to it. It’s edible and probably would taste better if the workers where more friendly and didn’t make you feel like your a problem being there. Won’t be going there anytime soon.

I got a order of Carne Asada chips which cost me a total of $15. The order was rushed ,I got the order in about 5 minutes. The bag was lite ,the chips barely had meat and the meat had no flavor. The top of it only looked ok but overall the quality and quantity for the price was horrible.Meat at the local market cost you $7 for like for 1&1/2 pounds ruffle. Their prices don't go hand in hand with food quality and quantity.

Horrible customer service by the old Mexican lady. This is not the only review about her, 22+ to be exact. I went to pick a burrito and she was literally yelling at a customer! The customer wasn't even defensive at all! I left and did not pick up the burrito after that. I have been here several times and she is always dry and rude, but I really didn't care much. But after witnessing this today. I cannot longer come here. Word of mouth travels far.
