The service was really good. They accommodated for the fact that we were English speakers and could not speak Italian which I am very grateful for. We ordered the risotto frutti de mare, fried calamari and quattro formaggi pizza which were all cooked to perfection. The waitress recommended the calamari and pizza. They were happy to not include tomato in the food as we had allergies. But this did not hinder the quality in any way. I would definitely recommend this place for the food alone.

The pizza capriciosa was good, but we've had better, the carbonara was Italian, well, maybe because it had cream, the calamari was good, the food was generally good, but everyone has a different taste for the rest, and each region is also prepared differently.

As Germans, we can highly recommend this restaurant! From the outside, it's rather unassuming, but upon closer inspection, this pizzeria is lovingly decorated inside, like a ship 💕 Sails in the dining room, a "lighthouse staircase," and portholes for windows… Simply beautiful! The staff is friendly, and the waitress speaks English. The food is so delicious that we visited this restaurant again on our last evening in Italy. The menu offers a wide selection, from pizzas and pasta dishes to fish and meat… The wood-fired pizza is incomparably good, and the fried fish is a delight! I love tiramisu—I've never eaten such a creamy and delicious tiramisu as here! The restaurant is clean, and even the owner took the time to read my Italian translation on my phone! Anyone who doesn't eat here is missing out!

During a two-day family getaway to Sanremo, we stumbled upon the restaurant almost by chance. One evening, when we found ourselves "on foot" and without any restaurants or pizzerias available, we remembered the "Capitan Gianpi" sign, so we asked if they had any availability, and were delighted to find a place to have dinner. The atmosphere is very welcoming, thanks to the staff, and if you don't have too many "MasterChef"-like expectations, I have to say the quality-price ratio is exceptional! A heartfelt thank you goes not only to the owner, but also to the waiter, who, in addition to entertaining our 8-month-old son in a friendly manner, was very professional and served and welcomed us, making us feel at ease and, above all, at home! We ended up returning for subsequent dinners and a lunch, and both the quality of the food and the service were excellent. So, I personally recommend this place. And as for the location, I have to say it's classic, very pretty, where some of the decor details make you feel like you're on a grand ship.

local restaurant on the mainroad across the coastline, a bit out of the center, serving just 1 table around 1h30pm, but gave it a try. I ordered the spaghetti scampi, but turned out to be a very tasty dish.. River prawns and Tomato sauce, simply presented but nice integrated flavors.

Ci siamo recati presso il bar Profumo di caffè di Sanremo per prendere un caffè. La struttura si trova lungo la via che conduce ad una zona dove ci sono più complessi scolastici. È dotato di un grazioso dehor che permette ai clienti di sostare in tutta tranquillità e di gustare un caffè. Il locale è molto ben organizzato e strutturato, ci sono anche alcuni tavolini. Il caffè è molto buono. Il personale presente è cortese e disponibile. Ci sono anche alcuni posti auto e moto che permettono ai clienti di posteggiare i veicoli agevolmente a breve distanza dal bar. Tornerò sicuramente in futuro!

Personale gentilissimo e disponibile. Locale bello e pulito. Unica pecca: nessun croissant all'albicocca alle 9.30 del mattino

Il locale è pulito ben ordinato. I gestori dovrebbero ridere un po' di più. Per la qualità dei prodotti niente da ridire ottimo specialmente la sardenara e focaccia. Provate.

An old-fashioned (1980s) place, soft, clean, and quiet. The staff is helpful and friendly. The dishes are appropriate for the ambiance, good and unpretentious. While we waited for our meal, we were served a warm focaccia, which was very welcome. Good value for money.

The carpaccio was tasteless, the pizza had nothing on it... they ripped off us with a €2 service charge per person, and the beer wasn't great... the price is fair, admittedly! The fan inside was noisy... In short, a tourist trap.

Deplorable experience, we arrive at 7:45 p.m. for dinner with my companion, we ask to be outside, it seems to bother the gentleman with his apron behind the counter who comes out, waits to see where we want to sit and throws the cards on the table coldly (my companion tells me straight away we're leaving) and since I had seen good comments on the food I told him to stay... from there a lady arrives who I think is not at all a waitress but does the service for us, we order 2 spritz for the aperitif (lychee flavor, go figure why), our aperitif arrives we order 2 starters 2 beef carpaccio one plain and one with corn she tells us that only the corn one is available but in the end it is a bresaola carpaccio which arrives on the table with no corn seasoning, for the main course we chose a carbonara pasta and a sirloin steak (well we thought it was beef) we asked the waitress said it was beef and my darling ended up with veal he was even more disgusted to have stayed especially since the dishes arrived on the table 3 minutes after we were served the starter, there I think that on my face he saw that I was angry and the cold gentleman at the beginning with a pseudo big smile who said to me how are you madam? In short, a big mess on the welcome and the service on the other hand the food was okay nothing more. Oh yes and when locals arrived to eat on the terrace 1 hour later we finally had the right to light on the terrace, it makes tourist menus but apparently they don't want it!!! So 2 spritz, 2 starters, 2 main courses, 1 bottle of chianti and 2 limoncellos 92€, it's not from me but I didn't leave any tip, oh yes 20 cents for the form, arriving 7:45 p.m. leaving 8:45 p.m. it was the shortest evening in San Remo. Nerves of the evening we ended up at the Simona bar where the welcome was great to have a few drinks.
