Boba Junkie is praised for its wide variety of food, including sushi, ice cream, and Thai tea. Many reviewers highlight the attentive service and welcoming staff, especially Angie, the owner. However, some customers have reported issues with cleanliness and inconsistent food quality.
Tip: Snow Crab Legs are available Friday-Sunday. Be aware that some reviewers have noted inconsistent food quality and cleanliness.
Variety and f food, have sushi, ice cream,…. service is good, price is fair, food quality is ok, plenty of parking. Not bad to go there once a while.
One of the few remaining affordable buffets that offer Snow Crab Legs (Friday - Sunday only) in OC. I came on a Friday evening, and restaurant was 90% full capacity. Cold crab legs alongside hot fried crabs. Eight flavors of ice cream for dessert. Excellent value for the price!
Surprisingly, this location exceed my expectations restaurant is super clean food is fresh and tasty it's unlike any other Chinese buffet I hight recommend the location give it a try lots of food options and good seating I do wish they had actually Utensils instead of plastic silverware but that's not a big issue
We came in as we were in the neighborhood. Angie, who is the owner, was very welcoming as were her staff. They have a large selection of food to choose from. Their sushi was probably one of the best buffet sushi I have had. The rest of the buffet was very good for the price point. The restaurant was clean, although the restrooms could be better maintained. Overall it was a nice experience and I will come back again in the future.

I loved their ice cream there it was delicious and there was AWESOME service they gave me a toy and every 2 minutes they come and check on you and take any empty dishes they also gave me two free fortune cookies and offered more they are super kind but hopefully I don't get food poisoning the next day
Absolutely amazing experience. The waiters and hosts were very nice, they are very kind and very attentive when refilling drinks and taking plates. Always have a smile on their faces. The food itself is great with options for various diets, the taste of the food is great, always got something for everyone. The atmosphere is relaxed yet enjoyable for everyone. Overall a great experience, id recommend this place to anyone
Google places looking for crab legs and found Santa buffet I got. Crab legs. Broccoli beef shrimp and my wife likes langostino with chile she loves it and she got 2 plates of crab legs we’re going back soon but next time we’re going with my growing up girls we’re going for the crab legs baby delicious
It had more variety of food than I thought it would. I LOVED that they have Thai tea there. Normally buffets dont have that. The dessert area has alot of options. More than I've ever seen at any other buffets. I was surprised to see shrimp chips, cream cheese wontons, popcorn and 6 flavors of ice cream. My family and I had a great experience. I didnt get any photos because we were too excited to eat. Haha

A lot of food seafood/sushi great for the first timer allows you to taste lots of different food and they also have some of your typical chinese food ans they have a teppanyaki grill as well. 15 dollars a person and about a 4 dollar drink is what you should expect and kids 2 and up also pay. I paid 56 for 2 and a 2 year old

I had high hopes for this place, especially since lunch prices were more affordable. The sushi rolls were very fresh, and everything appeared to be quite clean. However, I found the seafood options to be limited, and the clams didn't taste fresh. There were also other food items available, such as pizza and chicken fingers for kids. Overall, it was an interesting experience, but I'm not sure if I would go back again.
They do have a wide selection of sea food, from crabs, shrimp to sushi that makes the price worth it. For someone who doesn't really eat sea food, the options are less. There still enough to get you full, they also have a teppanyaki grill which is like mongolian. The place could use better cleaning and food treatment, but the staff is super friendly and very nice. The girl servicing our table was attentive and offered more refills. Overall its a good place and very popular by the looks of it. The place its a revolving door.
Decent buffet, decent selection, decent price. $46 for two for lunch with a soda and Thai tea
I visited on 10/20/21 around 5 PM and it was slow compared to other times. Dinner price $18.99 they have fried crabs, roast beef, fried shrimp, crawfish, and usual Chinese food dishes. The food yesterday did not all meet my expectations because the crawfish and the crab were not at par as I had before. The roast beef is stil good though. The chicken wings can be better. Choices are good and desert options are okay. For the overall value, I think the buffet can do better with food quality and freshness especially of their main dinner dishes! The Christian music can be dizzying as I glut on food (a sin) while being reminded of religious thoughts. I have nothing against Christian music but in my humble opinion, it is not the right place for it.

The buffet had many selections, but the majority of them were just okay. Nothing special stood out. For the price, the food quality just wasn't there. Service was mediocre, but I wasn't expecting a lot since it is a self serve buffet restaurant. Overall, I just wasn't very impressed. Even the hibachi service left me wanting. I stood there for several minutes while the cook was playing on his phone. For the area, there are plenty of other options for Chinese buffets.

One of the older female waitresses basically rushed us out of the restaurant. She came by and took all of our utensils and I politely told her we were not done. We were seated for 15 mins tops! Food is ok. Staff, not so much. Also, they monitor how much seafood you can get. Made us so uncomfortable that we barely ate any.
Everything was okay until we had the same experience many other's reported about the tip issue. I never carry cash so I always pre-tip during the debit card transaction. The server never spoke a word to us. It would have been nice to ask if we needed anything. I had to ask for water. I had left first to get the car started and my two friends who were visiting from another country came up to me stating that the server was harassing them and demanding a tip. They didn't have any American currency on them which made them feel extra pressured. It was not a good ending to our experience. The food was okay. I did get food poisoning sick the next morning. I can't say it was this place that did it but I did notice some reviews stating the same. I won't be returning to this place because of this. It's a cute place and the food looks decent but the experience was not a positive one.
A variety of good food! But service was kind of horrible. We went on Christmas around an hour before it closed. Unfortunately they raised the price to $25.99+ for everyone on that day (so about $30pp total). Food is good and everything I could think of was there. Teppanyaki sushi seafood too. Most of the things I tried were tasty. Not really impressed that they pressured us even before the closing time. Spacious parking in the lot. Clean restroom. Water is free. Another downside is that they use foam and plastic so everything will go into the bin (it’s very very wasteful as you can imagine this is an AYCE). If I were to rate just for the food, probably 4 stars. I wish they could at least change the utensils.

I always come for the crab legs now ill be precautious just exprienced someone stocking the food and when the food item (shrimp) dropped to the ground the lady proceeded with simply picking it up from the ground and placing into the serving dish so someone can be lucky enough to get to eat literally food from the ground.

Do not come here. I’m from San Diego and came to Santa Ana to visit. I payed $45 for two people ( the drinks we ordered was also water). And then I realized, this place had no real utensils or cups. They used plastic wear for everything. Plastic cups, plastic forks, and plastic plates. For $45. Dollars I would’ve expected at least real silverware. For the food portion.., they did have a lot of food, however it was lacking flavor. I wouldn’t recommend this place. Save the money and the trouble.
Everything is the wrong temperature. Hot food was cold and cold food was warm. Cross contamination was evident from the residue on the food and tongs. The water used to heat the trays of food was low and gross. Workers were eating on the back of the food bars, then immediately began preparing sushi without washing their hands. Mold on the walls. Fortune cookies were stale. The food also just tasted bad, and some it was very salty. The textures of multiple items made me question whether it had been cooked today. The breads were stale and chewy. I came to this restaurant knowing it was a buffet, and didn’t expect much, but this was the worst restaurant experience I have had in 10 years.
I have been going since they opened and today was the last straw the food is ok and they have variety but the servers are very rude and they treat Asians better by offering them drinks and letting them stay longer. But today I went with my family and the waiter was not letting my family through because she thought we did not tip her. My mom ignored her but then she was not letting me through and told me if I didn’t tip to give her back the cookies and she was very persistent saying that I have to tip. We did leave a tip but it was at the center of the table I should have taken it back but I didn’t think in the moment. Don’t recommend because their service sucks.

I went with my siblings here for my birthday because I saw some good reviews posted from months ago, but it wasn't very good. The place smelled very bad and everything was greasy and dirty. The food that I ate made me feel sick. At one point during dinner, a server walked over to our table and picked up my plate that was full of untouched desserts and tried to take it away. I looked at her confused, and she set it back down and walked away. That was our only interaction with any server during dinner, but when we were getting ready to leave, the same lady came over and told us that tips are not included in the amount we paid before entering. We said we understood, and then she proceeded to stand over us and glare at us. At that point, we all stood up and walked out. We always tip, but we hadn't had any service during dinner, and the only times she spoke to us, she was very rude. She then followed us to the entrance and glared at us till we got in the car and drove away. Under normal circumstances, I would've tried to find some cash in the car anyways, but she honestly was scaring me a little.
