Full marks for a well run restaurant that is clean, tidy, and very well served. The food was top notch, and there was plenty of convenient free parking nearby.

Islands is a chain restaurant, so any Islands you visit is pretty much just like every other one. There is the pro-forma generic Hawaii vibe gimmic, but that is where the chain restaurant experience ends. It is actually a very good restaurant, and not just mediocre food that is marketed really well. The Blue Wave is a simple burger with simple ingredients. It is a very good burger. I like the Bleunami burger, which is a burger with Bleu cheese. Very good. The fries are hand cut, crispy, and tasty. The staff is exceedingly polite and accomodating...very good service. The restaurant is very clean and well maintained. The only downside are that it is kind of expensive. Figure about $20 per plate when you include drinks. One important thing is to ask for a bunch of napkins...you will need them.

Since it was my birthday, the staff went the extra mile with a special birthday treat, which was the perfect "cherry on top" of the meal. Verdict: Whether you're there for the Happy Hour deals, the dog-friendly patio, or a family birthday, Islands delivers a great time. Ask for Anabella if you want top-notch service!

Great staff. So cheery and helpful in choosing meals. I had the Northshore tacos and a watermelon margarita. Both were so good. My son had chicken tenders which were good as well. Great location, plenty of parking.

Tuesday around 2pm, not a rush day or time at all, sat down at the bar for at least 7 to 10 minutes, not one employee approached me to ask if I wanted something to drink,eat, etc. I noticed a few others sitting there at tables and the bar, no attention to them at all, drinks were almost empty etc. The employees (4 ) that I could see, seemed more into their own laughter and discussions than giving attention to customers. I noticed two employees, male, walking through the kitchen doing the same thing. I walked out, went elsewhere. New to area, etc, maybe this is normal here? Hopefully management may pay more attention to the customers than the waiters themselves. Just my first impressions and I'll try again next week perhaps? Revised and impressed. Much better now, christian and Jennifer are great at the bar, Monday, Thursdays I come here to watch some football, etc. They are great, enjoy the interactions and good times. Thank you for these two bartenders and the overall experience now. Much better, Trent.

Casual American burger chain serving up large restaurant-style burgers, a few salads, and the typical assortment of simple appetizers. The bonus here is the full bar and plenty of big screen televisions too keep you entertained.

The menu is typical for the chain. The food is good sometimes great. It is clean with plenty of parking. The service is either basic or exceptional, never bad. The full bar is a great place to watch a game. TV's in many corners showing surf videos and sports. Parking is easy and they have a nice patio. Great place for families and sports fans. They always have good games on TV. Islands has become a staple to the mall. Solid food And drink.

We've given them a try several times, and we always leave with the same opinion: This is just an overpriced burger joint. You pay more for the atmosphere than you do for the food. On our last visit the fries were cold and bland, and the burgers were average. The salads are good, though, and the drinks are decent. The service was polite and attentive, no complaints there. Santa Barbara is full of places serving a gourmet burger, so I doubt we'll give Islands any more chances to impress us.

A standard burger place. Prices for burger are normal but the drinks cost as much as a meal. The burger taste was average along with the fries. The place is still new so the service will get better and crowds down. Only been open a couple days when I went and I probably won't be going back unless there is a lack of restraints.

I'm so sorry but this place is not that good. I wanted to like it but I was disappointed. I ordered a lettuce wrapped impossible burger with condiments, pickles, tomato, all that good stuff and was given one pickle, the patty and the lettuce. This is the saddest looking burger I have ever had and the worst part is that I paid $20 for this. Oh, but they did remember the grilled onions and the girl who gave me my order was nice so two stars it is.
