Above and beyond services! Eric - restaurant manager/bartender and an all-rounder, he was amazing! He recommended us some great dishes (that turned out to be delicious), he was kind and very friendly. We are definitely coming back for the food and Eric when we’re back in town. The Batata fries, falafel plate, chicken shawarma plate, Pita breads and hummus were so good! Highly recommend this place in SB. I hope more people get to know more about this place.

Amazing mixed Shawerma sandwiches here. Best I had in Santa Barbara. Amazing atmosphere inside with great seating. Will defectively be back and highly recommend this place for their mixed Shawerma sandwiches. Freshly made pita bread here is made on the spot.

This place is such a gem. The service and the food are incredible. Wonderful drink menu as well especially that can be made without alcohol. We had wonderful cocktails. The best chicken Shawarma ever! Their homemade pita the best we’ve ever had. Everything was absolutely delicious- the Taziki, baba ghanoush, potatoes, hummus, and the garlic spread is phenomenal. Skyler, our server was absolutely delightful and attentive. Wonderful atmosphere and so well priced. This is definitely the hidden gem of Santa Barbara

My husband and I recently visited twice in one day on our trip to Santa Barbara-- it's that good! There are plenty of places to eat in the downtown area, but Mezza Thyme is by far the best option for great food, thoughtful service, and lovely atmosphere. The upstairs balcony is perfect for a date night to watch the sunset. I'm vegan and they have lots of great options-- I loved the eggplant plate and the falafel! The pita was unreal. They also made some great mocktails as well for those who are non-alcoholic (I requested a mocktail mojito and it was amazing.) Highly recommend!

Had a great girls weekend in Santa Barbara and found our way to Mezza Thyme for dinner last Saturday night. Saud and Ricardo gave us exceptional service and the food was delicious! We’re already looking forward to the next time we can come. Highly recommend Mezza Thyme!

I have ordered large deliveries for work events from Mezza Thyme at least 5-6 times now, and each time the the food and service has been amazing. The guests always comment that it's the best food they've ever had at a catered event. I always communicate with Saud, who also delivers the order for a very reasonable price. Communication before the events is always clear and efficient, and in addition to the delicious food, the price is reasonable and the everyone always leaves satisfied (it's also the perfect type of food to serve to a large number of people with different dietary needs; and you can serve it at a work event and people don't go into a post-lunch slump). Food was really good. Good service, polite staff

We hosted a 20-person outdoor wedding reception at our home, and Mezza Thyme catered the event. The food was outstanding. Throughout the meal, I kept hearing the same comment from different tables: “This is really, really good food.” And it was. The Mediterranean dishes were vibrant and fresh — not generic or middle-of-the-road, but thoughtfully prepared with balanced flavors and ultra-fresh ingredients. Even our most restrained eaters went back for seconds. Delivery was on time as scheduled. The general manager personally supervised the transfer of the food from transport containers into our serving dishes and offered helpful suggestions on serving layout to improve flow. Presentation and execution were handled professionally, which matters when hosting an event at home. Prior to placing the final order, I studied the menu and placed a preliminary order online to establish a starting point. I reviewed it with my daughter and wife and received their approvals before finalizing. I did have a few questions about overlap among side dishes, spoke with the general manager about it, and finalized the order 30 days before the event with no subsequent changes. That clarity made the rest of the planning straightforward. Their menu reflects flavors and traditions rooted in the Levant region. Mediterranean cuisine lends itself well to buffet service within a defined service window. We would be happy to use Mezza Thyme again for any larger-scale gathering — or for a great meal at home or in their restaurant on Cota Street downtown. I highly recommend them.

Ordered chicken Shawarma sandwich ($14), lamb/beef Shawarma sandwich ($15), falafel sandwich ($13), and grilled chicken ($17). The service was super good, and the guys were very welcoming. Overall, the Shawarma sandwiches tasted good, but they were dry and lacked sauce from inside (garlic sauce for chicken, tahini for beef). However, I asked them for more sauce and they were very helpful. Proportion size was good. Meat was thinly sliced. The meat was tender and juicy and cooked thoroughly. The meat had proper spices like the ones you get overseas. The falafel sandwich was good, had proper amount of sauce. The falafel balls were crunchy and freshly cooked. However, its spices was a bit over on the coriander. Salad combo inside was perfect.
