Have tried the restaurant a few times, they have a great tandoori platter. Even their veggie platter is awesome. Very nice well lit ambience and halls for hosting parties. One of the standout dishes at Sakoon is their lemon fish, which showcases the chef’s skill in balancing zestful citrus notes with tender, flavorful fish. Additionally, their sizzler plates are a must-try, arriving at the table with an enticing sizzle and aromatic spices that delight the senses. Sony Parera’s warm hospitality makes Sakoon Sunnyvale truly special. As a caring host and attentive waiter, he ensures every guest feels welcome and valued.

This is my second time writing a review for this place, and I have to give it the 5 stars it deserves! There has been an incredible turnaround since the new manager, Kanchan, stepped in! The service seems smooth and sharp, with a team that seems genuinely happy to serve. I would definitely recommend the chilli fish and the palak paneer. Whatever magic the new leadership has brought, it has absolutely transformed the experience!

I liked this location compared to the Mountainview. The interior is very nice. I would even say romantic. The service is usual, however the food is made upon the order, so expect a bit longer wait than usual. However, the food presentation is very good and the taste is delicious too. The quantity is sufficiently provided too. Good for multiple visits :)

Food was good. We had one of our close friend’s farewell party. We all had (around 20people) great time. Courteous staff and nice ambience 👏☺️

Visited the Santa Clara site for buffet lunch this week with a colleague and we were happy to see the food presentation and selection was very large in comparison to the price per person. Ambiance was comfortable and clean and food choices were plentiful and quite tasty.. We sampled several of the appetizers and some of the main entrees and they all tasted fresh and appropriately spiced. Since am a stickler for hot foods being hot and cold foods being cold the temperature of the buffet choices all met my approval . I loved the rice kheer with gulab jamun as a good end to the meal and plan to visit whenever I am extra famished and in the area.

Been there many times, food quality is decent… good value for money. The ambience needs update as it looks old ( repeat visits). Service is polite and helpful … just one suggestion: don’t bring naan/roti on table while customers are just starting with the buffet as they will most probably have starters first and then start with main course. Also had family pack, quantity is good … this option is worth recommending.

We visited Sakoon as a group of five and had a pleasant experience. The food was decent and flavorful, with highlights like the paneer dishes, Sham Savera Kofta, dal, and naan. The lassis were particularly yummy. The staff were friendly and attentive, and our host, Mandeep Sharma, took exceptional care of us. The ambiance is warm and inviting, suitable for both large gatherings and small groups. The location is convenient with plenty of parking, making the visit hassle-free. Overall, a great combination of good food, service, and comfort.

I really enjoyed the food, vibe, and ambience — everything was amazing! The only suggestion I’d make is for the chef to consider making the curries a bit thicker. I ordered two curries, and while they tasted great, they were a little runny and made it difficult to enjoy with naan and roti.

I had it a long time ago or 4 yrs ago but didn’t write any reviews. I remember the food being very good overall, great chai, and service was not bad. Nothing bad to say but it is a nice place for lunch for us to gather when we have a large group with varied tastes to choose from. I know Indian food in general so this is good.

Sakoon offers a great dining experience! The basket of tandoori sizzlers had a good variety and was full of flavor. I especially loved the Phool Makhana Curry and the Chicken Curry — both were cooked perfectly with rich, authentic taste. The Lacha Paratha was also really good — nice and flaky with great texture. Overall, a solid spot for delicious North Indian food.

Overall food was good! Liked paneer peshawari and soya chaap! But the gravy was same for paneer and sham savera kofta, don’t order both at same time because it tasted very similar! Garlic naan was okay! Paneer peshawari- 5/5 Soya chaap- 4/5 Garlic naan- 3/5 Sham savera kofta- 4/5 Mango lemonade- 3/5 (very sweet)

Good booths and ambience. We had the weekend buffet lunch. Pani puri was my favorite of all. They had salt lassi or buttermilk which was good. Their vada was tasty.

Very spacious family restaurant. Food was above average, though I was expecting more given reputation of their mountain view location. My favorite was Rumali roti. Service was inconsistent. We had to send some roti back because it was cold. Took them a while to bring back the warm one.

We had the Sunday lunch buffet, $20, and it was delicious. They had palak corn, malai paneer, kadhi, and dal makhani for veg. Chicken curry, tandoori chicken, briyani chicken, for non veg. There is raita and chutney as well for tika and pakora appetizers. The dessert was lechyee halawa (bit weird) and kheer (only ok). The restaurant is really lovely looking, great ambience, which Indian restaurants don't always. For us the service was good, the wait staff cleaned up plates in a timely manner.

Here's a negative review based on your experience: "Disappointing Lunch Buffet Experience" I recently visited Sakoon, Santa Clara, CA, for their lunch buffet on October 5th, 2024, and was left quite disappointed. While the variety of food seemed promising, I found that almost every dish was excessively salty, making it difficult to enjoy. When I expressed my concern to the waiter, I was surprised by their dismissive response. They claimed that no other customer had complained about the saltiness. However, this did not address the issue I was experiencing. To make matters worse, the waiter's attitude seemed to imply that my feedback was unwarranted. This made me feel like my opinion didn't matter and that my dining experience was not valued. Overall, I was very dissatisfied with my visit to Sakoon. The salty food and the poor service from the waiter left a bad taste in my mouth, both literally and figuratively. I would not recommend this restaurant to others based on my experience.
