NEW OWNERSHIP !! The manager and owner are really generous. They are already doing such a great job with the place and cant wait to see what more they have to offer !! Food is amazing. I just don't have enough words to explain how grateful I am to have a healthy food option in town which satisfies those those taste buds. Keep up the good work guys !!

This place is much better after they got a new manager. Before, we would order and the order was always wrong and the food wasn't cooked right. We stopped going here until we saw the new management sign. Service is excellent and the food is great.

Fantastic place to get something quick to eat.The chicken and rice bowl is the best! I'd say it's better than Panda and other Asian inspired "fast food" establishments because it's not greasy at all. The location is very clean and nicely set up. Food is fantastic and on the healthier side. Prices are also very reasonable and affordable.

The place is good. Their not friendly but their not rude. Food was on par, love the chicken plate. Who ever cooked it did a really good job. Its slightly pricey but nothing to crazy. I will definitely be going back.

When I want a bowl I think of Waba Grill. This is pretty basic food and consistent. If you like vegetables, I recommend skipping the rice. It does need a bit of sauce for flavor.

Ordered the mini bowl with chicken. Saturday July 1, 2023. The woman at the counter seemed to get some sort of delight in telling me that I was only getting ' rice & chicken' and nothing else. I've ordered this dish many times at other Wabas and this is the first to not give any green onions with the order ( no access to get any onions unless asking for them it appears) . Other customer's food in the restaurant had these onions on their plates. Therefore this store ' holds back ' these condiments which is most likely out of balance with company policy. Not impressed. Will avoid this place.. August 28, 2023. in reviewing my post from July 1, 2023it appears that someone else posted a bad review FROM THE SAME DAY He must have run into the same RUDE WOMAN ( elderly from another country of origin) whose rigidity, lack of friendliness, and callous interpretations of the menu were on display . The fact that the owner would put someone with this demeanor as the ' first contact' to order for a new customer reflects poorly on personnel choices

After having a bad experience before, I decided to give WaBa Grill another chance since the large sign outside says, “Under New Management”. When I went inside and ordered I thought things would go great. I sat down and waited for my food inside. As I’m waiting, three people came in and ordered their food and walked out with their food within 10 mins. I saw a bag sitting there and I also kept eye contact with the person I ordered from. After about 20 mins of waiting and seeing people come in and out of the restaurant with their orders, I decided to go up and ask when my order would be ready. He pointed to the bag and said, this is your order here. The bag that has been sitting there for 20 mins with no mention of it being my order or even ready. I asked for a refund and he asked, “you don’t want the food anymore?”. I said, “no, my food has been sitting there for 20 mins and you haven’t mentioned that my food was ready or that it was even mine even though I’ve been here looking at you the whole time, would you eat that?” He stated, “yes, I would”. Well I guess we have two different standards of food and customer service.

I ordered food online through their website; i got notified that it was delivered (a half hour before the selected delivery time) but I can assure you IT WAS NOT DELIVERED. I called the restaurant and immediately upon answer was put on "hold" aka the phone was set down and never picked back up. how do I know it was never picked back up? I know bc I hung up after ten minutes of waiting and repeatedly tried to call back.. but the phone remains off the hook. thank you for absolutely nothing!

I’m only giving this review because I watching how they just had my food sitting getting cold instead of someone taking a moment to bag and hand me my order. The woman stop getting my order together to take orders and the line got long. Also, it was hot in there and I was not greeted when I walked in nor did anyone apologize for having me waiting while my food sat there.

A friend and I went here last night 7/1/2023 around 8pm and had a really terrible experience. Firstly, the place was completely empty yet the staff refused to greet us or smile as we walked in. Ok no problem, maybe that's how they do things here. We walked up the counter and my friend wanted a shrimp plate with no veggies but double the shrimp. The employee immediately cut my friend off and was told that they don't do custom orders here even though we were willing to pay extra for the double shrimp portion.... What kind of a healthy food restaurant doesn't allow portions to be customized? We weren't even asking for a complicated order, just double meat portions..... Because of this experience I cannot recommend Waba Grill to anyone that has specific nutritional needs.

Got takeout. Salmon plate, steamed vegetables, edamame, and a miso soup. All were absolutely terrible except vegetables, which was tastless and properly textured. Salmon had texture of rubber. Writing this review from home with intestinal pressure.

Walked in here tonight with the intention of getting my Grub on... sadly it would Not happen. Waited a couple of minutes for the girl to come to the register. Noticed prices went up (not terribly, just a few cents here and there). Went to order my staple, The Waba Signature Plate. Was told, quite rudely, that I would have to pay Extra since I didn't want Rice. Sure, penalize me for wanting to be healthy. No More Waba for me!! I'm done with them. So sad cause I really liked their food. However, with an extra charge for being healthy and a side of attitude, No Thank you. Judging by the crowd in there. 2 people, they Probably could've used my order of 8 Plates! Hungry family at home will Now be disappointed. However with 10 Gazillion places to eat out there, I'm sure I'll find a substitute. Sad to report that I experienced an aggressive bout of food poisoning that I've been dealing with for the past 13 hours. It all started 2 hours after eating the dumplings last night. I had not eaten any other food 8 hours prior to this and the food that I did previously eat, I shared with someone else who did not experience any symptoms of food poisoning. The only thing I ate on my own in the past 24 hours were these dumplings, and I noted they were cold, which indicated to me they were made earlier and were sitting around until I ordered them. I'll avoid going into symptom details but I could almost instantly tell something was wrong with my stomach after ingesting the dumplings, to the point where I considered self induced vomiting. It was very painful and lasted all night. I was so energy-less and dehydrated that I considered going to the local ER for an IV because I couldn't keep down any water, which is unfortunate because this experience has also now ruined my week long hiking trip that I was out here to start because now I have to go to urgent care and return home to San Diego to recover, which is a bummer because I've had good experiences with Waba in the past. Be cautious of the dumplings, consuming them was one of the worst choices I've ever made involving food.

The two guys that served us didn’t care. The guy making the food would leave to the back for like 5 mins and would come back and make one bowl at a time and then leave again. They took 25 minutes to make 2 bowls and people got their order before us. Waba grill is good but the workers here suck.
