Ate everything so fast I didn't take a photo -- fajita was good enough: order chips, they aren't free. The hot sauce is probably the celebrity item here. Pretty good. Edit: Based on good reviews, I got the shrimp tacos -- get these for certain, so good. The fish tacos were ok too (careful if you are onion allergy, a few onion here, nbd, my wife ate them)
Really good taste, they also sell alcohol beverages, agua frescas,
Super cute place, the lighting is very nice and the view of the boardwalk is very pleasing. The food was plated very nicely, and their wasn't a *lot* of service-- but that's just the style since you order at the counter then go seat yourself, which is fine by me! The food was also out very quick, def would come back here! :)
Victor is AWESOME! Came in for lunch after a morning at the boardwalk and Victor was there to help! He pointed out a few things we might like, gave us great options for the kids. And let us know where we could get some great seats on the boardwalk to eat, since we were going back over and taking our food to go. I would go in again just for how nice he was! But the staff isn’t the only plus. The food was really good, nothing fancy just NORMAL food, like Mom would make. I got a veggie fajita burrito, with chips and guacamole. My kids shared a fully loaded taco salad and my husband got a fish burrito and chips and salsa ! I think all of it only came to 35.00 We’ll totally eat there again
We ate dinner here. They had run out of ground beef which I though proved their food was good. This place was busy during our entire dinner. Several in our party ate seafood dinners which were delicious. One of our orders was incorrect but the staff immediately served a new correct meal. Although crazy busy the staff was efficient and friendly.
We got a burrito, fish and chips, and a cheeseburger. The burger was good-a classic burger. The burrito also was good. Fries were good (crispy). The fish and chips were delicious. We talked to one of the staff and she said that the fish was fresh. It is a convenient place to eat, as it's close to the boardwalk. Overall a good place to drop by and eat if you're visiting the boardwalk.
Flatus on a Sunday. Made fresh looked great and tasted great. No fancy here just good food across from the beach. Order at the counter and stay or take it to go
Best Mexican food restaurant in Santa Cruz. 100 out of 100!
Authentic Mexican food right across from the beach and boardwalk. Prices average to any restaurant. They were very friendly and nice atmosphere. Would definitely go back.

The lady serving the food went out her way to make sure we were happy with our food.
I ordered the ceviche tostadas which were DELICIOUS! I seriously wanted to go back the next day and have them again. Most places "water down" their ceviche with a ton of tomato and onion, but this place had nice big pieces of white fish (not shrimp) in the ceviche. Only bummer was that their ice machine was broken when we went, so our drinks were just refrigerator cool. Not ice cold. We sat outside under the umbrellas and enjoyed people watching on the boardwalk strip and the ocean breeze. Will definitely be coming back.
Food was delicious 😋 and portions were good size. The price was a little pricey but honestly not too bad. The place was a little dusty but I did like the decor very mexican/beachy.
I've been here once before, and decided to pay another visit. This restaurant doesn't disappoint. The meal was quite good and I didn't wait long for it.

The fish tacos are excellent and stuffed with grilled fish! The green sauce on the Enchiladas is amazing.
The staff and service here are very good and the food was delicious! I have some dietary restrictions, and they made sure that my order was made to my satisfaction, so very good of them! I live a little ways away from them, but they are my new go to spot!
Overall good experience. Food is pretty good, we got guacamole and chips with burritos and shrimps plates. They have a large menus with choices for kids. Staff could be nicer but it was okay. Unfortunately there is not many restaurants on the beachwalk.
Decent food, lots of vegetarian options. Tastes good, and more genuine than any of the Boardwalk food, so logically gets really crowded on summer nights. Would come around 7:30pm to miss the rush, or get takeout at 5pm to miss lining up. However, food is made quite quickly, and there’s free chips & salsa as well as water while you wait, plus a nice TV and lively atmosphere. Overall cozy, but not mind blowing. Would come again though!
Good food. Took forever to order, but food come out quickly. Small out door seating, lots of indoor seating as well. They serve beer as well.

Food came out fast. Good thing because we weren’t offered chips and salsa. I has a shrimp taco and a fish taco. Shrimp taco was good. Fish taco seemed to smell extra fishy and maybe a bit off so I didn’t eat much. Flavors were ok but lacked salt. We sat at the window looking toward the street. The table was an old surfboard which seemed cool at first until I noticed it was broken near the edge. Everything seemed kind of dirty. It was mid March so off season for the area. Not sure I would eat here again.
Taco Bell-flavored burrito, steak burrito made of ground beef and industrialized seasoning. Even so with a wait of more than half an hour for a simple burrito...
Not terrible. Shredded chicken is ok and they have a great beer selection, but the food is pretty mid-grade. I'm not sure what people are expecting from a touristy boardwalk. I definitely didn't think it was awful, but it's not fine fare.
Cute place to eat very friendly staff and lots to choose from. This is my first time here and have yet to try everything. So my first impression of the tacos wasn't very impressive I still think they may have some items that are better. It's right next to the boardwalk so it's convenient for that.

The only things good were the fries, the burger, and the beans. I can say that confidently, because I had a party of 6 adults, 2 kids, and 1 baby--I did their ordering because only I knew what dish names were. Almost half the dishes ordered were misses because the food was either too tough, no flavor, dry, or too salty. What really made the experience worse were two things: 1) I ordered for guacamole on the burrito--it was the thinnest spread I've ever seen. 2) I clearly had a large party. I should've been given 2 complimentary nacho dips, not one. And not given a look as if I was greedy. This really left a bad taste when I saw another party, same size, automatically given two. That said--good beans and burger. Save yourself the trip if you want to just eat something to save money. You're more than likely to save money by just going into the food stalls at the boardwalk.

The people who work here are really friendly and welcoming. The ambiance is good for a quick sit down meal. We ordered burritos and tacos and none of it was great. We ate our food mainly because it was what we paid for for dinner. The guacamole was nicely flavored but nothing else stood out as high quality or very fresh. Wouldn’t go back.
I don't like giving low grades, but it was objectively bad...
Big disappointment!! poorly cooked food, tasteless! no sauces and they don't even give you tortillas! !! according to that Mexican food "but it's not... expensive and bad service, the waiter delivered one of our dishes to another table! and then brought it to us when he realized his mistake! but he had already left it in another table within reach of other people......
Horrible food! My god how do you screw up Mexican food this bad?! I wish I had read the reviews before I ate here. And yes I did feel sick after eating here and so did my boyfriend. I wish they would get shut down.
Worse than Tijuana ‼️ Terrible food, terrible service. Over priced disgusting. Go to Taco Bell instead
Food really really sucks. Everything pretty much comes out of a can. I got the fish and chips and one of the fish sticks was still partially frozen from the inside. My wife got the enchiladas. The sauce was bland and so was the meat they use too. Stay awaya. Ud fair better going to 7 eleven .
Crap food. Service fine but food was massive disappointment. Carnitas, a burrito, quesadillas and some beans…. Carnitas was fatty and under-seasoned / bland, burrito was generic and lacked any flavor. Quesadilla was (?) whatever. All (sorry) terrible. Just stop. Place was near empty at 6pm on a Friday. That’s about right.
I order a seafood molcajete and it was more like a seafood soup in a molcajete and it had a lot of imitation crab. Is not worth the price, really disappointed. Never had a bad seafood molcajete until recently at this place.
The food was disgusting, almost certain some of the food was spoiled or expired. Didn't feel comfortable finishing my food and left, call me wasteful but I'm not getting sick. Expensive as well for what it is, save yourself for the love of God💯💯
We dined in at this restaurant for a lunch with family. The service was great at the counter, and they brought the food to our table. However, the food was 0 stars. I was extremely disappointed in the taste and quality of the food. It was like something a toddler would have put together. For $35 bucks, it was not even worth us stepping into this establishment. Unless the food quality goes up, this place is not recommended.
Bought $130 worth of food. Only for them to give us 4 wrong orders out of 6. On top of all that, they charged $6 for Verde (green) sauce on the side. Bad customer service. Food was OK, nothing special for $20/ burrito.
The staff interaction was highly uncomfortable. The food seem like it was prepackaged. My friend had a quesadilla and it was extremely greasy to the point where the entire plate was puddled in it... The food looked like it was completely slapped together with no effort to make a good presentation. The service was horrible and the staff didn't even check up on us like most restaurants should. To anybody wanting actual authentic Mexican food go somewhere else. I do not look for negative things but this place was so bad. I wouldn't even call it a restaurant it's more fast food than anything.
I give 5 stars to the nice lady up front. She was great. However, the food was a different story.. Stale cold chips, cold beans, hard rice that had no flavor, no flavor in the salsa, slimy chicken and pigeons running around the dining room. What more can I say..
Food was pretty mid. No salsa for the burrito and it was super dry. Beans and rice tasted lifeless and didn't have seasoning. Margarita was a solid 7/10 though. The chips and salsa were mid. The salsa didn't even have flavor.
Please save your time and money by going anywhere else. The salsa tasted like sour milk, the chips were stale, and the fish taco was gross and very chewy. We only took one bite of our food and went somewhere else which was unfortunate after spending over $20 on a burrito and one taco.
Paid for guacamole and was told they were out only to find that avocados went out with every dish. Asked them to make it right, as we were given some green liquid substitute, the guy literally smashed an avocado and brought it to me. I asked if they could at least add Pico de Gallo to it. He had a terrible attitude, but did add Pico. Just shocking how lazy the staff was despite paying for guacamole. The tables were left dirty, the food took forever. The fajita was not good and everything was overpriced. Would not recommend.
I hated the food. It was a 40min wait, just to be disappointed with our food. Worst $50 bucks spent. There was a pool of oil in the container they put my tacos in. Carnitas tasted boiled no flavor and mostly fat. The Tortas was a big disappointment as well. The one thing that was okay was the bean and cheese burrito. Save your money. The only reason this place is open is because people are hungry and it's close to the boardwalk.
Horrible that this place wanted $4.75 for a can of 7up. Not even the oriental restaurants charge this much for a can of soda.. I ordered the shrimp chimichanga. It looked good from the outside but as i dug in. It Seriously had two shrimp. Save your money and go somewhere else. This place is a joke.
These guys like to play "where's Waldo" with the meat. I ordered an asada super burrito, had no meat, no sour cream, no cheese, no guacamole... just rice, beans, pico de gallo and lettuce it was pretty much a rice, bean and salad burrito for $15. Do yourself a favor and skip this place like I should have! I ate at Las Palmas 2 blocks away the day before and it was way cheaper and they hooked it up. I guess I'm spoiled from San Diego asada burritos, they have, you know, asada. This place is great for vegetarians cause they don't have any meat.
This is a basic Mexican restaurant with foldable furniture. Self-Ordering took over 20 minutes. Then began the wait. We waited and waited and waited and finally after 40 minutes gave up. Refunds can take time so we left but they called us to let us know that the refund was processed. We won’t be going back.

One of the worst food places ever been to... pork was dry and flavorless, as well as only 4 small peices of shrimp in le quesodilla... the steak burritos was also flavorless, and felt like it was ground beef even though looks like scarwny shriveled shaved peices of steak... the chicken enchiladas had practically no chicken WHAT-SO-EVER... worst $100+ I have EVER spent on food... IN MY LIFE!!!
I ordered 1 Super Snapper Fish burrito and 1 Regular Carne Asada burrito. I got them both as regular size and without the extra ingredients that is supposed to come inside the super. I asked and all they did was give me two small condiment sized sides of guacamole and sour cream. That didn’t make up for the more ingredients I would’ve gotten if they had made my order right. At other places when they get an order wrong they entirely remake it and let me even keep what they did but not here. Disappointed and never coming again.
Worst Mexican food I've ever tried. I thought I would be nice and give it a try. Definitely never doing that again, comments are accurate. A tourist trap. Food was bland. I had shrimp tacos that were over seasoned, way too much salt. Salsa was not salsa. Rice and beans had no flavor. Such a waste of money. Overpriced and un reasonable.
Slow…. We waited 30 minutes for our food and the place was not busy at all. My daughter got her food way before they brought out our other order, by then I was already out the door. Ended up leaving and asking for our money back. Terrible service. Do not recommend
