Ho chiesto che a Matteo, cameriera preparato del posto quali dessert mi avrebbe consigliato e mi ha risposto assolutamente la panna cotta. Gran bel consiglio ha superato le mie aspettative e davvero, una panna cotta così buona è difficile trovarla. Tornerò presto

Assolutamente da consigliare. Un piccolo angolo di paradiso dove respirare un po' di aria fresca durante le calde giornate estive. Ma non solo la buona cucina (con buon rapporto qualità - prezzo) ed un buon bicchiere di vino vi farà stare bene in qualsiasi momento dell'anno.

ci siamo fermati per caso al Grotto di Sant'Anna tornando dalla val Vigezzo e che bella sorpresa! bellissimo l'ambiente, proprio sopra l'orrido di sant'Anna, ottimo il cibo e il costo onesto. Servizio gentile e appena un po' lento. Un'esperienza da ripetere.

Best restaurant in the area. We tried many restaurants but Grotto Sant'Anna is the top. Food is delicious, fresh and innovative. The staff is very welcoming and kind. Alessandro and Dalila make everybody feel truly welcome. We had dinner and lunch several times and brought friends from over the world. After lunch or dinner everybody was smiling and happy being treated with the outstanding food and lovely setting of Grotto Sant'Anna.

Also, the outstanding service provided by our waitress Dalila. From the moment we walked in, greeted us with a warm and welcoming smile, setting the tone for the evening. A restaurant overlooking a gorge, hidden behind a church. We sat outside where there is plenty of shade. The menu was great with salads, pasta, gnocchi and second courses. A hidden gem of a restaurant - and swimming in the river close by.

Unlike many restaurants in Cannobio which serve more tourist friendly food like pizza, pasta and burgers, Grotto Sant’Anna serves delicious dishes hard to come by. The duck was served with a crusty skin and juicy soft meat. Certainly worth a return.

A hidden treasure in beautiful Canobbio. This grotto is located in a small valley next to a waterfall and less than 10 minutes away from the busier village center. It's a beautiful and authentic grotto with outdoor seating at granite tables. In fall or spring or with unpleasant weather conditions guests are welcomed indoors. And not to forget, the food is also delicious and the wine list offers a great selection of Italian wine.

Da premettere che sono ritornato dopo 2 anni e ho trovato la stessa accoglienza e gentilezza, i piatti invece devo dire la verità mi hanno deluso un po ,non perché non erano buoni ma mancavano di personalità tipo il coniglio era insipido ,il petto d'anatra invece c'erano troppe guarnizioni aspre tipo già c'era l'arancia poi il frutto della passione e in più doveva essere cotta almeno un altro minuto per essere perfetta ,poi c'era un po'di cavolfiore che non ti dava quella dolcezza che forse lo chef si augurava .peccato i plin molto buoni anche il dolce e specialmente il vino (desiderio )molto buono prezzo ci sta .peccato ma sono sicuro che ci saranno delle accortezze per la prossima volta che sicuramente ritornerò.

Nelle giornate calde è un luogo dove potersi godere un pranzo o cena in un luogo fresco e carino. Il menu non propone molta varietà ma comunque le cose che ho provato sono state tutte buone ,qualitative e presentate molto bene. Il prezzo un po elevato per la quantità! Personale cortese ma nei momenti di troppa affluenza il servizio è lento.

Abbiamo pranzato nella splendida cornice della terrazza che si affaccia sull'orrido, una vista stupenda accompagnata da un ottimo pranzo, piatti molto buoni e curati. Unica nota, se avete fretta non fa per voi, il servizio è un po' lento ma permette di gustare appieno le ottime portate che vi saranno servite. Prezzi in linea con l'ottima cucina e la splendida posizione.

A wonderful place, rather distinct from the lakeside hustle. Food is rather expensive and while creatively designed we did not find it perfect. Our comments however were well received and we were offered another dish in exchange, so full marks for the kind service.

Only ONE vegetarian dish for the first course. Only fish and meat for the main course. Unfortunately I can not recommend the restaurant as a vegetarian. Truffle pasta was very good!

Ambiente caratteristico. Qualità abbastanza alta, piatti ricercati, quantità da rivedere. Tempi di attesa un po lunghi. Costo sopra la media.

Qualità prezzo non mi ha soddisfatto; troppo costoso per i piatti serviti potrebbero avere una marcia in più (piccole porzioni e nulla di particolare). Peccato perché l’ambiente è carino e accogliente

I've had some very nice meals here in the past, but today's experience was rather disappointing. We seem to have made the mistake of choosing the menu. Each of the 3 courses was very small, about half the size of the same dishes when ordered a la carte. Also, the quality of some of the ingredients used left something to be desired. The cut of meat used for the tartar wasn't great, and the panna cotta was seemingly made with vanilla paste with vanillin flavouring instead of real vanilla. I think for the quite high prices one can expect better quality. The service, sadly, wasn't up to scratch either. We had one set of cutlery for the 3 courses. After the starter my knife was covered in egg yolk from the tartar, so I left it on the plate, expecting it to be replaced. The waiter took it off the plate and placed it back on the table. It remains to be said that the setting of the Grotto Sant'Anna is very nice indeed.

Vado a mangiare lì da decenni. Un posto meraviglioso. Di recente ho effettuato un'altra prenotazione. Arrivato in tempo. Ci hanno assegnato un tavolo in un posto dove solitamente non ce ne sono, perché si affaccia su un muro orribile. Non abbiamo accettato il tavolo. L'alternativa che ci hanno offerto era un tavolino per due, ma eravamo in tre. Anche questo non era accettabile. Avevamo detto che saremmo tornati un'altra volta. Il cameriere se ne andò senza salutare.
