Un restaurante que te atrae desde el nombre, tiene una barra al entrar donde puedes sentarte a tomar algo y pedir pinchos. A mitad de pasillo puedes ver como cocinan la comida, el interior del restaurante muy bonito y elegante. Pedimos diferentes platos y todos muy ricos, desde los entrantes hasta el postre. La carne en su punto y muy suave. Lo único fue el servicio, el mesero que nos tocó era un poco mal educado, aunque las chicas muy agradables, pero por lo demás todo muy rico.

Fuimos a comer 6 personas sin reserva, y si había un poco de espera, pero menos que media hora. Eso sí, fue tempranito tipo justo a las 2 cuando llegamos. Toda la comida riquísima de materia primera de primero. Y el vino también muy bueno! El único plato que no triunfó tanto fue el arroz con leche que tenía pasas.

Un sitio bonito, se come increíblemente bien, y no está nada mal de precio para la ubicación que tiene, en pleno centro De Santiago. 4 copas de albariño una vieira rellena y chuletón de ternera para 2 personas y salimos rodando. Tiene también opción de chuletón de vaca por 60€, ambos dos chuletones 1kg.

An exceptional dining experience! We ate here to celebrate the end of our Camino and it did not disappoint. We seemed to arrive at a good time (8:45) and were seated straight away without a reservation. It looked like later on there might have been a wait. The chuleta was cooked to perfection as was the dorada. Everything was so full of flavour and had the wonderful taste of the grill. Great atmosphere and incredibly helpful waitstaff. Will undoubtedly return after my next Camino!

What a fantastic restaurant, the best in Santiago. We were a group of 8 & we ate there on Saturday past & back on Sunday at lunchtime before our flight home. It is always busy which is a great sign. The staff are so friendly. On Sunday one of our group had scallops & when the waitress came to take away her empty plate, my friend asked if she could take two shells home. The waitress took them away, washed them & returned them wrapped in tissue paper. There is a terrific choice of food. I think Martin was the floor manager when we were there. What a gem! Nothing was any trouble! I am returning this week with another group ( 5) & we have already reserved our table for next Monday. I can definitely recommend this restaurant. The prices are very reasonable too! A definite for anyone looking for really good food.

Fantastic montaditos, we sat at the bar and kept ordering more tapas. You can pick your specific steak or sea food and they will cook it immediately. The staff was busy but attentive offering great suggestions for ordering. They have a large dinning area that we made reservations for dinner. Montaditos for lunch and Steak for dinner.

Just a 5-minute walk from the Cathedral de Santiago de Compostela, El Papatorio is a buzzing, contemporary spot where the food is nothing short of sensational. Yes, you may have to wait or queue for a reservation when it’s busy (and it will be busy), but it’s 100% worth it. The meats and octopus grilled on the plancha are phenomenal, and don’t miss the langoustines, clams and croquettes — all bursting with flavor and beautifully cooked. Finish with the ginger ice cream and strawberries — simple, clean, and unforgettable. Martin and the team made our experience even better — warm, welcoming, and passionate about what they do. Best dining experience of the entire Camino! Celebrated completion of Portuguese way here after a recommendation from a pilgrim who went here after finishing the French way last year. Such delicious food and incredible value. Super friendly front of house as well as rest of staff. Looked like a lot of locals there and not so many tourists. We ate mussels (fish of the day - some of the nicest mussels I’ve had!), the queen scallops in seafood & mushroom sauce (highly recommend- the star of the show!!), the octopus a feira (delicious & so tender), padron peppers and a selection of meats. Their house Albariño is a wonderful bottle of wine to pair with the seafood. Gracias!

They managed to get us seated and served quickly on a really busy night. Great seafood and beautifully presented dishes. If I had to choose one that was not to die for, from what we tried, that would be the octopus which, as a Mediterranean myself, I probably had more expectations from! Shout-out to the gentleman who served us who was really patient and helpful, made some good recommendations, and also made the communication very easy.

Once our order was taken, we were eating and drinking within 3 minutes, which is insanely quick for a pretty busy restaurant! Este restaurante se presenta con una propuesta atractiva y bien ejecutada, tanto en sala como en cocina. Es importante destacar que suele estar concurrido, por lo que hacer reserva es más que recomendable. En caso contrario, el sistema de espera funciona por orden de llegada y puede prolongarse. La atención del personal es uno de sus puntos fuertes: profesional, amable y eficiente, lo que contribuye notablemente a la experiencia general. En lo gastronómico, la velada fue muy satisfactoria. Las zamburiñas, presentadas sin artificios y hechas a la plancha, llegaron en su punto justo: sabrosas, con buena textura y ese sabor a mar limpio que se agradece. Los pimientos de Padrón y las croquetas cumplieron con soltura, pensados como entrantes ligeros y bien resueltos. El plato principal fue un T-Bone —ese corte generoso que combina solomillo y lomo alto, con hueso en forma de T—, cocinado a la plancha. El grosor era el adecuado y el punto de cocción, perfecto: jugoso, tierno y lleno de sabor. Una pieza tratada con respeto, que se deja disfrutar sin prisa. El postre, una tarta de queso, si bien no deslumbró, estaba correcta y cumplía su función como cierre dulce sin caer en excesos. La cuenta final fue de 78,20 €, una cifra coherente con la calidad del producto y el nivel de atención recibido. Conclusión: Una propuesta gastronómica sin sobresaltos, que apuesta por el producto y por una ejecución honesta. Ideal para quienes valoran la calidad sin alardes y el buen hacer en cocina. Un restaurante al que se regresa con gusto, especialmente si uno busca comer bien, sin distracciones y con la certeza de estar en buenas manos.

Buscábamos donde comer y encontramos este sitio. Buena atención, muy pendientes de todo. A la entrada tiene una barra de pinchos que luego puedes pedir en la mesa. Las zamburiñas muy buenas pero me gustan más con el aderezo tradicional.

Comida de sabor espectacular y productos de excelente calidad. Toda la experiencia gastronómica fue un acierto. La atención del equipo, en general, fue sobresaliente: amables, atentos y profesionales. La única excepción fue un camarero que pareció molestarse cuando tardábamos en decidir, aunque hay que decir que realizó su trabajo de forma eficiente. A pesar de ese pequeño incidente, el lugar es muy recomendable en una visita a Santiago. Recomendado reservar.

Ha sido realmente enriquecedora esta cena. La comida estaba muy buena, el servicio rápido y el ambiente agradable. Lo único que las bravas y los postres estaban menos sabrosos que el resto de comida. Pero lo recomendaría 100%. Pedimos chuletón de vaca, pimientos de padrón, verduras… Recomendable!

A great experience with a tapas bar. But we elected for a table for two. You can order tapas as well as other meals from the menu. Obviously wines too! We ordered three tapas as entrees, as well as the mushroom plate (I suggest ordering just a plate!) and the steak medium rare. The steak came with fried potatoes. Service was great & considering we don’t speak fluent Spanish. The young waitress patiently guided us & had a pleasant meal. No desserts though as we were very full & had to take out our leftovers.

The dinner here was really tasty. We ordered a variety of menu items. It looks small from their front but you walk in a little hallway past their open flame cooking and it opens up. Lots of windows. Two levels. Standouts for me was this one tapas of warm goat cheese crusted in walnuts over toasted bread with jam. So good. Their steak was also phenomenal. I did learn that their temperature for steaks were different that what I was used to. My husband ordered medium rare and his was exceptionally rare and mine was medium rare. It was served on a stone so it kept cooking a little bit longer but not quite enough to make his a full medium rare but it was very tender so we were still able to enjoy.

Fuimos a cenar 4 personas y no fue la mejor decisión. La comida nos la sirvieron fria y pedimos una dorada sin aceite y perejil pero después de equivocarse 2 veces al traerla nos pidieron si la podian cambiar por lubina. La calidad del producto es buena pero los inconvenientes que nos surgieron hacen que no sea un sitio recomendable para mi.

I ordered Battered salmon on vegetables ratatouille as it was mentioned on the menu, but when it was served, the fish served with a pork bacon in a way that was not recognizable. I recognized after eating 1/3 of food. The waiter came as I asked and told me that there was pork attached to fish. The worst part was he just turned back without even apologizing let alone changing the food.

Very poor service but good food. This experience wasted 3 hours of our time when we only had 1 day to spend in the city. First, they told us that it would be 20 min wait to be seated. It ended up being 50min. We ordered food before we sat down to gain time, but it did not mean much. Simply they interpreted the order wrong. We were 6 persons and ordered 6 dishes. But they brought 2 of them as an appetizer and we had to wait 30 more minutes to get the rest. Some people were eating and others watching! The waitress only appeared once in a while. Not easy to speak to. The place was crazy busy. It is a positive sign but this is coming on the expense of the customer experience. We had 2 orders of veal and one of vaca. The vaca was served as a veal to the wrong person on the table. Moreover, the steak came as a piece of blood and chewy. The order was placed as medium. But clearly it came as less than rare. On top it was chewy. So I wonder about the quality of the meat. There was simply an immense level of mistakes one after the other that it ruined not only our experience at the table, but also our day in Santiago. Clearly not a place that I recommend despite the food.
