Probamos este lugar para desayunar durante nuestra estancia en Santiago y no nos pudo gustar más. El camarero es súper amable y correcto, el desayuno estaba riquísimo y bien servido y el local es precioso. De precio espectacular, volveremos más veces durante nuestro viaje. Todo un descubrimiento.

Desde que lo descubrimos estamos parando a desayunar todos los días aquí. Un sitio ideal y de toda la vida a un precio asequible. Una relación calidad/precio muy buena. Si volvemos a santiago (que volveremos seguro) ya tenemos sitio para desayunar. 100% recomendado.

Local familiar y tradicional. Fuimos a cenar, el trato recibido fue de diez, la calidad- precio de la comida muy bien. Por todo ello, no tuvimos ninguna duda de que el sitio de desayuno iba a ser esta cafetería. Muchas gracias por la atención y el servicio.

Obviamente es un lugar de tradición. Se siente enseguida. Algo caro para mi gusto pero precioso comedor. Es obviamente una mina de oro dada su excelente posición. Lo cual me lleva a pensar que no es lógico que un domingo por la mañana haya solo una persona en la barra para servir a toda esa gente y solo una persona en la cocina para la preparación de los desayunos. Porque tan poco personal? Dos huevos con bacon, tarta de Santiago y un café con leche: 13.50€

Un café clásico de la ciudad para disfrutar un ambiente auténtico. Me encantó el mobiliario y la decoración. Servicio muy bueno, sólo probé la cafetería pero estuvo muy bien.

This is an authentic galician café, Marcos is the greatest and happiest server I've ever had. Get away from tourist restaurants and come here. Wine, food and coffee very well home made. Tortilla española sooo good! Ask for the home made desserts.

This place bring you back to Patadiso Era, whatever that was, the period of its own being. It’s not Santiago, not catholic, not Spain. We ordered 6 portion of churros with rich chocolate and we were in heaven!

I was looking for a tarta de santiago to take home and the clerk in the post office said that they had the best tart . He also said that they might not sell the entire tart as it is made daily on demand . It looks like an unassuming place from the outside. A different era on the inside and there really is a mamma in the kitchen who said that it was ok to sell the entire tart . I had a hot chocolate with churros while I waited for them to package the tart .. it was luscious!!! Not too sweet ! Not too thick ! Perfecto The tart survived the plane trip smashed between on the backpack and it was fabulous! No too sweet

Old-style traditional cafe, serving tasty chocolate and churros along with other regular offerings. Super efficient waiters. Many locals in the early mornings, making it a truely authentic experience, before the tourist hoards arrive.

Down a small corridor off the street. Inside seating in warm, appealing interior. Do not confuse with the place next door with street seating. We walked in about 7pm. Combo of bar, cafe and restaurant. Appears to offer full menu from midday to 10pm. Range of about 10 paellas, 3 course €18 pilgrims menu and many individual dishes. Great, friendly service. We tried two paellas as well as the delicious Galician pie. Also, coffees and Santiago (Almond) cake to finish. Food was about €21 each. Drinks extra. Nice evening. Thank you.

The Tarta de Santiago was incredibly good. The coffee as well. The location is lovely, everyone is friendly, and the vibe is great. If you’re looking for a nice spot to have breakfast, this is a perfect place to relax, travel in time, enjoy the moment. I didn’t try the savory options, but they looked really good too.

Great breakfast over easy eggs, ham and fries large cup of coffee well needed for a cold morning!! Casually met up with other pilgrims that we met during our walk. Close to the Cathedral, atmosphere was nice and the attention from the staff was great!! Go and enjoy the next time your in Santiago de Compostela.

Outstanding mom and pop restaurant serving authentic, delicious, traditional basque food, made with love by the owners, who went out of their way to accommodate us when we were in a tight time crunch. Very reasonable prices. We wish we could’ve lingered longer to enjoy more of their food and hospitality. Lovely little spot! Great atmosphere and very attentive waiter. He warned us when ordering of the sizes of portions and our eyes were a bit bigger than our stomachs but he was exactly right. The padrón peppers were delicious as were the calamari, not chewy, nice and soft with light batter. The crispness and softness of peppers also. Tortilla was a bit overcooked for us. We had Galician broth too which was pleasant. All in all good quality food for the prices. The waiter was very nice he knew English and french (we tried our limited Spanish) nice experience. :)

Open till late so we went for quick dessert for churros. Unfortunately they're not very crunchy and lacking of taste. It's an old traditional restaurant with a lots of antique display. The other foods maybe good but would have to be tried in our next visit (if any).

It's just the proverbial greasy spoon full of noisy english speaking pilgrims whose reviews are meaningless. Be mindful where reviews come from - including Reddit.
